|____Daisuke Ichirou____|
|__Third Div. Fukutaichō__|
-------------------------------/
"A crashing sky, a rolling screen.. A city drowned in God's black tear."

Daisuke stopped for a second as Nanashi spoke. He looked back and blew out some smoke, "You could call me a nut, I guess.. if a nut includes not being afraid of one of the most powerful beings in the Seireitei; then yes, I am. I gladly accept the label, and state my fact; I do not fear him, for even in the complexity of his being, he is but a man with a heart and two people he loves dearly."

Daisuke turns to Nanashi, "Now, as for tarnishing the Captain's reputation, I do not tend to do such things.. I am stating fact. If the fact tarnishes him, he should not label a lie. He did die by that one's hands, but he unregretfully, and without second-thought, went against an opponent he knew would indeed get him killed. Therefore, not only did Hei Hakase partially partake in his downfall, but was not the sole cause. If Hei Hakase has a problem, then he can come and talk to me.."

Daisuke, even being a man who disliked conflicts, did not fear if Hei came at him out of pride. He knew Hei would not do such a thing; for the pride itself would not let him. It was a strength and a weakness for the beast, to Daisuke that is. He raises a hand, "Anyways, I want some tea, and since my old tea buddy is gone.. I guess I'll drink my tea alone. The li'l squirt ran and got himself kidnapped, so I guess I'm all alone this time." Daisuke begins walking once again. "Oh, tell Nu to come and see me if she needs ta talk.. She seemed interested in a fight, and I like to do sparring only after a few cups of tea." He stuffs a thumb in his sash and gives a wave to the others.

Cocking and eyebrow at Daisuke, Nanashi tossed his fork and plate behind him, again without worry as to how they would end up. Part of him wanted to remark that is Hei had killed Damien without assistance, then the win belonged to him and no one else, regardless of how suicidal Damien may have been. However, he didn't like to argue, so he held his tongue and instead looked at Suzume as she approached him, forgetting about Daisuke as quickly as he left. His gaze flickered to areas of her body that set her aside from males, then settled on her adorable face. His face lit up as she asked if he was scared of Hei, and as he put a finger to his chin to think, he glanced skyward before looking back down at her and shaking his head. "I'd be lying if I said I was afraid. The rest of you fear and hate him because he's cruel, likes to abuse people, and is ruthless. That last bit is common around where I hang out, the group I idle myself with. It's accepted as life, and that's what we do. As for his cruelty, well I can't rightfully get upset because it's my nature to be overly happy, so it doesn't bother me. If he abused a woman in front of me, then yeah I'd be mad, but it's not in my nature to be scared, so I guess I can't be. I dislike him for being serious."

Smiling, Nanashi slid off the rock and strode over to her, placing his fingers under her chin once he was in proximity. "What's the deal princess? Now that ya know I'm not afraid, do ya want me to protect you from him or something?" He said with a boyish grin, just before jerking in place at the sound of someone shouting for no apparent reason. Turning his head to see Kyo apologize, Nanashi tilted his head and called out to him. "Oi! If I show you a picture of Asami in the bath, will ya stop screamin' like an idiot for three seconds?" Apparently amused by this statement, though he had no such thing or had ever seen such a thing, Nanashi chuckled to himself, turning back towards Suzume, his statement still awaiting an answer. "What'll it be, darlin'?"

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxbut it’s only t h e n that I realized,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxafter all that I have ever DREAMED of,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI really don’t like F I G H T I N G

Suzume listened to Daisuke, attempting to follow along. She didn’t know why she was so intrigued by these matters, like fighting and philosophies but perhaps it was just a part of her. However, the philosophies and ideas often disappointed her, due to the fact that a large percentage of philosophies, or at least a lot more than she would like, had the idea of a man leading, of the man being the one who controlled the wife. History had so many instances of these, examples from everywhere. Jumping out of her thoughts, she finally managed to latch onto the conversation, just in time for Daisuke to say something about leaving to drink tea. Well, she was most likely going to linger for a short while, just because she wanted to see whether her sister was alright and meet her new Captain. “Alright, I’ll tell Nu-Taichō if I see you. See you later ~” she said to Daisuke, waving back in reply.

It was at that point that Nanashi started talking, answering her previous question, so she concentrated, trying to make sense of what he was saying. That was a little confusing to tell the truth, but that was most likely due to the fact that she couldn’t really see things properly from his point of view. The idea that Nanashi disliked Hakase Hei because he was too serious, made Suzume raise an eyebrow in Nanashi’s direction. The point was that most people liked him, because he was serious. She’d prefer to be around more serious people, rather than with those who fooled around and were not serious about anything or even life itself. As she thought this, Nanashi had strode over to her, before placing his fingers under her chin. She trembled with rage. The impudence! She had met men like Nanashi before, the ones that liked to flirt and catch pretty girls, but none, none had the audacity to touch her in such a manner. About to tell him exactly what she thought of him, she was interrupted by the sudden shouting of Kyo. Interesting manner to show up in, yelling random things to everyone in the vicinity. Nanashi had seemed to think so too, although he just had to make another silly remark about showing Kyo pictures of Asami in the bath. Her eyes briefly flickered to Asami-Taichō as she wondered how the Captain would reply to that.

As Nanashi called her darlin’ again, anger and fury rose inside her again as she eyed him carefully. Taking several deep breaths in, she started talking, her voice layered with a chilling tone. “Firstly, I am not a little girl, a princess or even a darlin’, so I would refrain from calling me things like that, sir,” she placed emphasis on the last word, deliberately mocking him, “And unlike many of those girls, whom I’m sure you’ve met and had some fun with before, who fall apart after one of those silly, flirting comments from your mouth, I’m not believing any of that and I certainly do not need protection, as I have said before. Oh, and I’d kindly ask you to remove your hand as I don’t like being touched at all, especially by somebody whose name I don’t even know.” She crossed her arms, waiting for him to do or say something back.

Kwang smiled at Ericko and looked at her friend would seemed to be bleeding alot as he could tell by the soaked blood on his shirt. It's ok Ericko i will heal your friend no problem. Kwang walked up to her friend. He closed his eyes and put his index finger to his lips. In a whisper so soft and gentle to the ears around him he uttered Chiyudō #28: Shōshaku A small flame appeared on his index finger. This might hurt a little bit but i assure you your wound will be completely healed in a matter of seconds. Kwang stuck his finger on the wound and the flame sealed it up with only a few seconds. Kwang tapped Eriko friend on the shoulder and smiled. See, wasn't so bad. Or at least i hoped it wasn't. Kwang then looked up at Eriko. I sealed up his wound with fire using Chiyudō #28: Shōshaku. He should be fine . Is there anything else i can do for you? Kwang bowed in respect to Eriko as he was accustomed to back home. Kwang realized though that this was the first person he healed while being lieutenant. He knew his captain would be proud of him once she found out.

Kwang wondered how the captain were faring right now. He hadn't gotten any info from Hei daughter before she left on what the situation was at it kind of pissed him off being in the dark about all this. He wanted to be at her side helping her in anyway he could. How can a lieutenant be a lieutenant without helping his captain. It just bugged him so.

Tadashi had been gritting his teeth the entire time through both his injuries and the annoying conversation between the insane Lieutenant who had needlessly killed Vesper, and the other unfamiliar Lieutenants. He was staying quiet at the moment, trying to calm himself down after the rush that was the battle. This time, he could not blame Tenma for neither his battle lust nor his somewhat disturbing killing intent. True, it had not been night, but even then not finishing Vesper when he had the opportunity had taken restraint. He knew the zanpakuto's nature had influenced him somewhat, but fighting the Exaequare made him realize his own nature was to blame just as much, if not more than, the sword.

'Fear and insecurity are not your best traits,' commented Tenma. Sakamoto ignored him.

"Thanks," he murmured to Eriko as she led him away to a Lieutenant he really didn't know, but assumed was the healer. Then came some searing pain as a result of the supposed healing art, making Tadashi's head hurt much worse than before. When Kwang was finished cauterizing the wound, Tadashi gave another small thanks that could come off as rude and shied away from the scene. All he wanted to do now was report to Hibiki and be that much closer to ending the miserable day. Of course, there was still the issue of the Captains in the Exaequare world, but there was nothing he could do about that.

My Fears...

User ImageUser ImageNanashi, Daisuke and even Suzume had all managed not to strike a curious cord inside of her since at the moment, she could care less about their discussions or arguments, depending on one's individual view. Their words swept over her and she found herself more focused on Kwang's words as the young boy proceeded to assist Sakamoto. They were more peaceful and less of a danger to her growing headache. Her hand went to the inside of her outer clothing to fetch the bottle of pills that Elisia had left for her while the quick procedure took place. It was enveloped in her right hand by the time that Sakamoto muttered his second statement of gratitude and sulked away from them.

"No, there isn't but thank you for offering as well as patching my friend back up." Eriko smiled at him as graciously as she could muster, turning away already and emptying another handful of pills into her palm. It was not that she wanted to be mean, shrewd and downright unwelcoming to these new faces but three years was a long time. A few days would have to pass before she could be herself around anyone. Once the pills had slipped down her throat, her arms found homage in the other's sleeve while her back had straightened itself out for the second time since she had arrived at the bottom of the hill. Unfortunately, that was about as controlled and settled as she would appear to the outside world with her eyelids at half-mast and her lips loose.

Of course, all of this would not have been a problem if she had also managed to stay clear of all people especially the raging purple-haired girl who had been expressing herself plainly to Nanashi. Eriko was sure that it had been an accident but that did not matter as for a second, while she was passing behind the girl, her eyes closed fully and her body went limp to her left, pushing Suzume from behind and probably towards the boy, who had offended her. However, as soon as she had spaced out, Eriko pulled herself out of it and tugged on one of the other female's arms to steady her in case. "Oh, I am sorry. I should really look where I am going or even sit down if I'm going to feel dizzy." While the apology left her mouth, Eriko's gray orbs caught sight of Suzume's badge and she let go almost immediately to grab for her again. "Oops, I couldn't help see that you're the Gobantai-Fukutaicho. Congratulations." It was biased, to say the least since there were about three other newly instated Lieutenants in the area. She lifted her eyes to the girl and released her once she thought that she was standing properly again. "How are you liking it there?"

Dropping his hand to his side almost immediately, Nanashi was dead silent as Suzume tongue-lashed him. His eyes were fixated on her mouth, but his thoughts were elsewhere. He had actually moved his hand because he had been lost in thought, not because she had asked him to. He hadn't even heard that, in fact, his mind had veered off after she had called him sir. His expression had slackened, he no longer even wore a half-grin, and his general demeanor could be likened to who wore bore a heavy weight. All following words came as a buzzing in his ears as his mind was put back into the past.

The first thing he could remember was opening his eyes at the sound of a female screaming over the heavy wounds he had sustained. He had blacked out after that, whether it was from blood loss or losing the will to live, he was unsure. He awoke in the hospital ward and some woman, that he later labeled as the current Captain Commander, was swarming over his body, rapidly using healing spells and sealing his large wounds. Apparently it was the fastest healing she had to do, and the first surgery she had had to perform since her brother had opened up his own spleen somehow. Or so she had said later, implying to Nanashi at the time that he had been very heavily wounded, even beyond the scope of what he had felt when he first woke up. Apparently he was supposed to be dead, yet for some reason he still hung on, much to the amazement of the Captain herself. He had groaned to say something to the woman at the time, but he was quickly knocked out when a masculine hand slipped over his face. He hadn't actually noticed Hei sitting next to him, and he would never be told that this had been the case in the years to follow.

Nanashi's visit to the past ended when he felt Suzume fall into him, due to the unintentional bump by some lady he had never paid attention to before. Nanashi caught her by the shoulders, but he didn't do so eagerly like he had before when he had saved her. Turning, he released her immediately and silently walked to where Daisuke had been, retrieved Sōshinome's saya, then made his way back to the rock where he had left his weapon. Mere seconds before he touched the weapon, each plate, his cup, the saucer, and his fork all vanished with the pop of a bubble. Hefting the trident with one hand, Nanashi looked back to Suzume and cast her a look that was nothing like his previous expressions and was quite somber. "At least you have a name. I guess the difference between you and I is that when faced with someone who cares enough to speak with me in a less-than formal way, I don't push them away." By the time he had finished speaking, Sōshinome was already sealed and tucked away inside his saya. Nanashi gave her one last look before picking the katana up by the hilt, turning it over and touching the length of the saya to his shoulder. "Zaijian, Chiyoko Suzume." With this, he suddenly faded out of sight with a rather impressive Shunpo. His destination point was one of the rooftops in the Seireitei, and once he reached the first, he bounded from rooftop to rooftop until he reached his destination; his own living quarters.

The sudden girl Captain bumping into her, was enough to throw her off-balance, and unfortunately, into Nanashi. However, there was something different. While he would have simply held on for a little longer, he let go almost immediately, barely saying a word. She watched him, looking a little confused as she liked to know where she stood with people. As he spoke, she was merely more than confused and absolutely lost for words. He didn’t…have a name? “Oh, damn,” she mumbled to herself as he left, seeming distressed about something. Of all things she had to do, she had to chose something that was one of the most sensitive topics for this Shinigami. She’d better go and talk to him, since she had obviously been pretty petty over such a little matter. Shaking herself slightly, she attempted to smile at the Captain, who had congratulated her on the fact that she was a Lieutenant. Looking a little absent-minded at the moment about that detail, she merely nodded and said, “Oh, yes, thank you very much. It’s pretty good here, from what I’ve seen.” She dropped a quick bow, attempting to sound polite. “I’m very sorry, but I think I need to take care of some matters.” Hurrying off, she exited the area, intent to find Nanashi somehow.

My Fears...

User ImageUser ImageWith Nanashi's response to Suzume's almost childish retort and the accidental bump, Eriko could not help but allow her replacement to leave to deal with the issues between her and the fellow Lieutenant.

"Cho, what the hell am I doing here?" she asked her Zanpakuto, attempting to walk away from the clearing in a steady line. She was still a bit out of it. The lack of focus in her immediate surroundings was not helping her much. Everything was fine here. No one was in trouble and all of her regular associates were no where to be seen except for Sakamoto but a conversation with him might be pushing it.

"You wanted to help and you did but currently, your help is not needed." The spirit's voice came out clear and strong. It was another minor change since their battle in the forest.

Eriko hopped back up into her original tree till she was on the highest and most stable of branches. There, the Juibantai-Taicho took off her haori and relaxed against the tree trunk. She wanted to be with the others. Who knew what they were facing in the home of the Exaequare? However, if something happened here, it would be best if at least one Captain was around to keep the potential danger at bay. This is what she told herself as her headache pounded on and her eyes closed again but in a safer location.

With one hand in his kimono and one dangling freely by his side, Kwang stood there with his eyes closed listening to all the conversation from everyone around him. He felt a slight brezze in the air and he could smell the sweet scent of a sakura tree somewhere in the distance. The smell brought peace of mind to Kwang, which was good cause Eriko's friend really annoyed him with his unappreciated response to him healing his wound. It was all in the past now and Kwang didn't pay him any more mind at all. Kwang wanted to talk to Eriko more about the situation at hand and what they were getting themselves into here. So, Kwang located her spiritual pressure and followed it all the way to he ran into a tree.
From what Kwang could sense it seemed she was at the very top of that tree. Kwang didn't have any idea as to why she would be up there but if it were him he would only be up there so he could escape from everyone else and be able to relax and clear his mind. After a while of contemplating on weather or not to go up there, Kwang decided ,finally, that he would head to the top of the tree because what he had to talk was of some importance and she should have the answers. Kwang jumped his way to the top of the tree and was a branch away from Eriko. Kwang got on one knee and bowed his head in respect. He kept the tone of his voice soft and sweet as to not disturb her peace Eriko im sorry for disturbing you while your trying to relax but i have some question's that i hope you can answer. Why are we fighting the Exaequres? What do we gain from this fight? Kwang kept his head down until she opened her eyes and began to speak to him.

Have you ever encountered such a beautiful melody?

═══════════════════════╕››››››››››››

Kyo was literally stunned by Nanashi's question. He was about to burst into a tirade on how immoral even suggesting such an action was much less the fact that he had such an item in possession, but he paused a moment to consider Nanashi's demeanor. He's toying with me. There's no way any lieutenant would disrespect their captain to that extent. Kyo's eyebrow twitched at that realization. He had to put up with so much teasing from his Zanpakuto, the last thing he wanted was another person around that made constant jokes. However, he did note when they were given a glimpse of Nanashi's solemn side after Suzume's tongue lashing. Hmm...seems even he has his soft spots in that armor of happiness he wears...

Not unlike yourself. You pretended to be this brooding silent guy so people don't bother you, because you're afraid of letting people get to close, and when people talk to you anyway you hide your true self beneath a bunch of fake personality traits. Everyone has their demons and they cope with them in their own ways. Yours is to isolate yourself, and his is his intense level of cheeriness, Zetsumeireiki sent.

Kyo was a bit surprised at how serious she was for once. It's better that way, though. I may not make friends easily, but at least when I do I know they can be trusted. Kyo responded while he walked over Cornix's body then kneeled down to look at his face.

Your trust issues are a problem though. You can't let someone watch your back if you don't trust them and you won't always be able to win a fight alone.

Well only time will tell if that's the case. Until then I have no intention of blindly trusting people. With that, he stood up and looked over at Vesper's body. "Who were these guys and why did they attack Captain Hakase's funeral?" he asked not directing the question at anyone in particular.

Enjoy it, for surely it is the last thing you will ever hear.

My Fears...

User ImageUser ImageEriko had sensed lazily that someone was at the bottom of her tree but became more alert when the familiar of jumping could be heard approaching her at quite a pace. By the time that she had sat up in the crook of the branch, Kwang had stated his question but it took a few minutes for her mind to process what exactly he had said. She noticed that he bowed out of probable respect but addressed her in a less than formal manner. Such a thing had never crossed her mind while she had worked under Masashi-Taicho and therefore, her first facial expression with which to greet Kwang was a blatant frown.

"I don't know you so I would appreciate it if you showed your respect by addressing me properly instead of the bowing." The Taicho relaxed her face now and crossed her legs, preparing herself to respond to the rest of his statements. "I'm not sure that I'm the best person to answer you but I will give it a try all the same." She paused to sort her thoughts out before answering him. "Their leader wants to rid the world of six million humans because apparently, as things are in the world, they are out of balance. However, we as Shinigami cannot let that happen so we're trying to stop this extravagant eradication. It's more like they want to erase the existence of six million humans. If we do win or come to some sort of agreement, then six million lives won't have to be lost hopefully." Her head bobbed a little as she tried to settle herself again. This was going to lead to an actual conversation surely and she did not know if now was the right time for such a heavy topic. "But what did the other Captains say before they left? I feel the need to rush after them as well as to stay here and hold down the fort so to speak." She flashed him an awkward half-smile and waited for his reaction.

I am sorry for not responding to you in a respectful manner. I assure you Erkio-sama that i mean no harm. My Captain left without saying a word to me so i woulnd't know what to tell you. Kwang looked up at her and noticed something seemed to be wrong with her. HE jumped over to her branch and examined her by looking at her face. Then he moved back a couple of steps until he was at the edge of the branch. He thought about it then spoke Eriko-sama are you experiencing some head trauma? Cause if you are im sure im more than qualified to help you Eriko-sama. Kwang after saying that, thought about what he could do if she was having head trauma. It wasn't anything he couldn't fix. Kwang then sat down on his but with his legs crossed. He awaited for a answer from Eriko and he hoped this time he was a little bit more respectful.

Malchut Sephira - Being of Lowliness

His initial entrance to the Soul Society would go unnoticed to those at Sokyoku Hill. He had opened his Garganta in the sewers that he had located the last time he had been here, all thanks to his Pesquisa. As the dimensional rift closed, the sewers muffling the sound, Zenos covered his nose with his sleeve, the proceeded to Sonido around the sewers until he found an exit in the form of a removable tile. Silently exiting them, Zenos replaced the tile, and looked up to find himself in an abandoned alleyway. Lucky, he thought. With his Reiryoku and Reiatsu fully suppressed as per usual, and the sounds of his clothes and movements erased due to him own abilities, Zenos proceeded to make his way towards the area where he knew the Lieutenants and lower seats were gathering.

He knew where they were, and he knew which signature belonged to which face, having matched them when he was here for Hei's funeral. He was upon the one who called herself Eriko in an instant, approaching his prey silently and quickly appearing to be flying towards her when he appeared. The second he was in front of the Shinigami, he thrust his flattened hand towards her abdomen to impale him quickly, using his sharpened-to-a-point nails to increase the speed at which he had done so. All in all, it took less than a second for him to become solid and deliver the attack, and he had done it many times before to sneak up on a Captain. Just after, he lifted his right foot to deliver a high-speed, devastating kick to Kwang-Sun's chest, giving it enough power to crack his sternum and send him flying across the meadow.

Suddenly, he was behind Tadashi, his Gemelos Sonido's afterimage fading into nothing as Zenos' foot bore down upon Tadashi to deliver a hard kick to his shoulders and knock him to the ground. As he did so, he extended his pointer finger towards the ground, causing a dull-grey spread of Reiryoku to gather at the tip of his claw-like nail just before it compressed, then rapidly decompressed, spinning like a razor as it was shot towards the ground, only to be swallowed up by a quickly formed Garganta. The exit for that Garganta appeared mere inches from Kyo's face, ejecting the high-powered Gran Rey Cero from it's depths towards his it. After his strike was to connect, Zenos performed an acrobatic backflip to land a few feet away, only to point his head towards Black Star, open his mouth, and fire a high-speed Cero that could greatly damage a Captain.

Taking a step backwards, Zenos reappeared next to Hei's grave, looking down into it's depths as he pocketed his hands. Seeing nothing inside, he simply assumed the cunning b*****d had found a way to resurrect himself. Looking back towards the Shinigami, he eyed them to see the extent of the damage that had only taken him fifteen or so seconds to deal out. After doing so, he spotted Aurelius and proceeded to feel him out. Nothing like a hollow and certainly not a Shinigami. For a moment he thought he was a Vizard because he felt both races in him, but quickly decided otherwise when he pinned the third vibe he was getting from him; Quincy. He took a moment to watch him curiously, then settled back on the Shinigami.

...and thus the world is petrified.
