As soon as the connection was made, Hiru jumped. It's as though Samehada now knew exactly what it was they were attempting. In an instant, its handle wrapped up around his arm, creeping around his neck and finally wrapping around his chest. It slowly constricted until it nearly dug into his flesh. It wasn't enough for it to be painful, but Hiru was almost scared it would start burying into his flesh.
Cp: 498
d20 [04] + Ninjutsu [40] = 44 (pass/fail)
Gradually it started pulling it's scaly core up his arm. However, Hiru panicked. In a second, he severed his chakra connection with the blade. The addition of the constriction, the creeping and the scales climbing on his body made him lose his cool. Breathing heavily, it was as though he had a miniature panic attack. It was a shame since the whole process had, to this point, gone extremely well.
Cp: 483
d20 [07] + Ninjutsu [40] = 47 (pass/fail)
Hiru, with Samehada's retracted handle still in his hand, gave it an apologetic look. The blade being many hundreds of years old had probably already seen something like that in the past, since when he started flowing his chakra into it the blade automatically resumed the training. Slowly, their chakras first melded, interlinked, and then fused. The merge was ready to take place once more.
Cp: 468
d20 [04] + Ninjutsu [40] = 44 (pass/fail)
Again, the handle made its way up Hiru's arm. This time, probably having learned from their previous try, it went a bit slower as not to startle it's wielder again. Now expecting what was happening, Hiru remained perfectly clam and let Samehada make its way to rest on his chakra core: his heart. In a few seconds it had constricted once more around his arm and chest and it prepared for the scales to climb.
Cp: 453
d20 [01] + Ninjutsu [40] = 41 (pass/fail)
Extending his hand, Hiru let the scaly core of the blade climb up on his arm. As strange as it seemed the first time, it was, this time, a pretty natural process. Where he might have been afraid of getting shaved by the blade as it came in contact with his body, he quickly realized that the scales retracted and changed texture as they made contact with his body, preventing any form of damage to himself.

As the scales crept up his body he could feel them adapting to his skin. It seemed that the merge occured nearly at a cellular level, as the scales, which were somewhat large and protruding when covering the blade, became nearly microscopic when they fused with his shark skin. This would have the benefit of making his new form a lot less cumbersome, maximizing combat efficiency.
Cp: 423
d20 [19] + Ninjutsu [40] = 59 (pass/fail) [03/10]
Samehada tightened and melded around his arm. Slowly, he could distinguish the hand from his new form. It was a bit bigger than his actual hand but not by a whole lot. His fingers now had slightly protruding claws instead of nails and were linked by a sort of webbing. This would most certainly dramatically improve his efficiency in underwater movement in general, and probably combat.
Cp: 408
d20 [07] + Ninjutsu [40] = 47 (pass/fail)
As it moved up his arm, he started noticing what appeared to be a flipper forming on the back of his arm. It grew as the transformation was taking shape, but, again, this appeared to be an adaptation to increase hydro-dynamism and therefore increase swimming speed. At that moment he realized that the transformation was not necessairly changing more into a shark, but maybe simply increasing his aquatic capacities.
Cp: 393
d20 [12] + Ninjutsu [40] = 52 (pass/fail) [04/10]
This surprised Hiru since in the legends he had heard it was always mentionned that Samehada transformed the user even more significantly into a shark. However, the webbed fingers and elbow fins had nothing to do with sharks. It was highly probable that the end form looked particularly like a shark in the Hoshigaki's case because they themselves are closer to sharks, not because Samehada is shark itself.
Cp: 378
d20 [04] + Ninjutsu [40] = 44 (pass/fail)
As Hiru reflected upon theoretical matters the blade kept climbing up his body. When it reached his shoulder, it appeared to accentuate the gills he already possessed on his deltoid muscle, making them bigger and longer. If at first Hiru wasn't certain why that was the case since it in no way increased aquatic ability, he quickly understood what they were for when they were formed enough to be functional.

Indeed, barely a few seconds after his gills had been "evolved" to their current state, Hiru's senses awakened, as though his eyes had opened for the first time. He had not realized it yet, but Samehada was a chakra sensor. This meant that, if they fused, so was he for that duration. All of a sudden, he could sense all of the living things around him without having to look in their direction.
Cp: 348
d20 [06] + Ninjutsu [40] = 46 (pass/fail)
This sort of epiphany was probably the way all chakra sensors felt when they first develloped their technique. However, the shock was most likely even more significant to Hiru since he went from being at level zero in that regard to being most likely an olympic caliber chakra sensor. The feeling was completely overwhelming and certainly would require a lot of getting used to if he wanted to remain focused.
Cp: 333
d20 [09] + Ninjutsu [40] = 49 (pass/fail)
After he got over the fact that he was now feeling enemies through his shoulders, he quickly realized that Samehada was now fusing with the muscle tissue buried underneath his skin. It seemed that, as the merge progressed, Hiru could feel his strength increasing more and more before stabilizing at a greatly higher level than the one he was at before. The feeling was extremely satisfying.
Cp: 318
d20 [07] + Ninjutsu [40] = 47 (pass/fail)
Always the analytical one (for a Hoshigaki at least), Hiru wondered how this worked. After reflecting on the subject a bit, he quickly came to realize that, as the merge progressed at the expense of his chakra reserve, he could feel his strength regressing in the same capacity. It was now clear that this was the physiological manifestation of Samehada's ability to increase its size and activity as it absorbed more chakra.
Cp: 303
d20 [14] + Ninjutsu [40] = 54 (pass/fail) [05/10]
The basic principle behind this theory was indeed sound. Since Samehada's strength is fueled by chakra, the second it completely fuses with Hiru, all of Hiru's chakra becomes Samehada's chakra as well; meaning that, in a second, Samehada practically charges to its full strength, making Hiru proportionally stronger. This also meant, however, that should he consume chakra, it would prove to be at the expense of his physical strength.

This meant he would have to be extremely careful on how he used ninjutsu in combat while staying in this form. All chakra he would spend would make him more vulnerable to anemy attacks. Still, the biggest assett in Hiru's arsenal was that his fighting style was oriented on chakra drain, thus making it extremely rare for him to run out of chakra and therefore diminish his combat efficiency.
Cp: 273
d20 [01] + Ninjutsu [40] = 41 (pass/fail)
As the merge kept progressing, something seemed to slow the process down when the blade came to the point where it was going to stretch out from the shoulder towards Hiru's head and torso. He was not exactly sure what was happening. He had not panicked this time as he had when the merge originally started and he had not stopped pumping his chakra into Samehada, so what was the problem?
Cp: 258
d20 [12] + Ninjutsu [40] = 52 (pass/fail) [07/10]
He paused a bit to assess the situation. The merge had nearly stopped. This could be an alarming fact; however, the last time that the merge was interrupted, the fusion had regressed and Samehada had returned to its sword form. It was not the case this time. Whatever was going on was apparently not a significant setback since it had only paused the progression of the technique.
Cp: 243
d20 [09] + Ninjutsu [40] = 49 (pass/fail)
Hiru paused for a moment, hoping to find a solution to this complication. Doing a rapid introspection, he came to realize that foreign chakra had apparently seeped through his body and into his chakra system; but he did not know wher eit originated from. It was neither his chakra nor Samehada's, bbut it had fairly subtlely infiltrated his peripheral chakra system enough to interfere with the technique.
Cp: 228
d20 [04] + Ninjutsu [40] = 44 (pass/fail)
Not quite sure how to correct the situation, he tried to locate the source of the leak, something that would welcome how this unknown chakra had entered his body. Slowly, he traced small quantity of it and followed its traces back to its source. He had found it inside his chest, making its way towards his heart. It was not a harmful chakra by any means, just one that proved disruptive in the present situation.

Hiru quickly came to realize that, by following the chakra trail, it lead him back to his new gills that had develloped on his shoulders. The foreign chakra was a residual chakra signature from its chakra sensing ability, and Hiru was so unfamiliar with it his own body did not how to react to it. The problem being fairly simple, the solution would be equally unchallenging to find.
Cp: 198
d20 [15] + Ninjutsu [40] = 55 (pass/fail) [09/10]
Without giving it much thought, Hiru closed the chakra conduit which irrigated the gills, therefore stopping its chakra sensing ability from continuing. This had the effect of stopping the influx of foreign chakra into their fused form and allowed the merge to continue once more. Now even more aware of his new body's functions, the fusion even accelerated, quickly progressing over his entire body.
Cp: 183
d20 [15] + Ninjutsu [40] = 55 (pass/fail) [10/10]
In a flash, Samehada covered all of Hiru's external surface and from there infiltrated his being all the way down to his very core. A large fin had grown on his back, reminiscent of the one that stick out of the water when sharks close in on a surface prey. His face and head had slightly changed form to a more hydrodynamic shape; although the modification was not dramatic. The biggest change was that his new form had a long tail for aquatic maneuverability.
With his chakra reserves nearly depleted, Hiru thought he'd call it a day and either return home or have a look at what was going on around the village a bit. He certainly deserved it!

d20 [01] + Samehada [42] = 43 (pass/fail)
Hiru returned the next day to resume his training where he had left off. Grabbing Samehada, he initiated the merge and let it "take over" his body once more. The change was dramatic, practically to the point of even being qualified as traumatic. His body was completely changed: its height, its weight, its strength. Hiru felt like he was a stranger in someone else's body, and this was certainly a peculiar sensation. He tried walking around a bit, but felt like he was barely able to efficiently put one foot in front of the other without tilting from side to side.
d20 [18] + Samehada [42] = 60 (pass/fail) [01/10]
After a few laps of trying to accomplish what most people could still easily do after having consumed two bottles of sake, Hiru had slowly been getting the hang of walking around in this form. It certainly felt a bit more rigid than what he was supposed to at first; but he was starting to get used to the weight and the muscle structure that were both a bit unsettling at first. Heck he even started jogging a bit to increase the difficulty of the exercise!
d20 [15] + Samehada [42] = 57 (pass/fail) [02/10]
As he ran along the Shoreline, he quickly came to realize that this merged body was not as rigid as he had initially thought. It seemed that as his chakra started flowing through it and his brain adjusted to the new form, he could perform feats of agility that rivaled, if not exceeded, what he could do before the merge. Spinning his arms around to warm up, Hiru was starting to think about switching to actual combat simulation.
d20 [10] + Samehada [42] = 52 (pass/fail) [03/10]
However, before he went to look for opponents, he thought he'd give this new body a try in the environment it was meant to be used in: water. Lucky for him, it was barely a few seconds away and he was more than familiar with the surroundings. As excited as he was in his student days when he used to train underwater, he dashed for the shore and gradualy let himself be submerged by the liquid.
d20 [15] + Samehada [42] = 55 (pass/fail) [04/10]
As he stepped into the water, his fins deployed, his tail straightened out and his gills opened to their full size. The feeling of being submerged had always been a pleasant to Hiru; but it in this form, it was completely inebriating. He couldn't believe how effortlessly he could move around, his entire body adjusting to every current and every movement he would make.

d20 [07] + Samehada [42] = 49 (pass/fail)
Hiru kept swimming around for minutes, gradually increasing the difficulty of the maneuvers he'd perform in this form. At first, he'd practice making sharp turns left and right. It appeared his fins were tailored for these movements. Then, after that had become too easy, he started doing full 180 degree turns in a second's effort. It seemed that with every passing moment his skills dramatically increased with no end in sight.
d20 [13] + Samehada [42] = 55 (pass/fail) [05/10]
After he'd mastered the art of the one hundred and eighty degree turn, he though he'd try the full three sixty: the looping. This was a technique that was difficult to perform for any human due to the difficulties caused by their physiognomy. Even being a Hoshigaki and having a body adapted for underwater movement, that sort of maneuver was completely innefective and unnatural to him.
d20 [10] + Samehada [42] = 52 (pass/fail) [06/10]
He was however extremely surprised to see that this new body made the thing look easy. He barely had to give it a thought. He simply swam forward, then, in an instant, tilted his head backwards while keeping a forward motion active. Automatically, the laws of hydrodynamic coupled with his new peculiar physique made him do a complete turn on himself until he found himself still heading in the same direction.
d20 [09] + Samehada [42] = 51 (pass/fail)
The speed at which he was moving was incredible. He could hardly believe how fast he could move around. Indeed, if hes turning speed was impressive, his straightline speed was unparralleled. Had he been a predator in the seas, there were certainly no prey that could have escaped him in any form of pursuit; man or fish. Of course, that wasn't his style; but he was certainly glad to know he could pull it off if he wanted.
d20 [11] + Samehada [42] = 53 (pass/fail) [07/10]
Having accomplished pretty much what he had set out to do when he entered the water, a new idea sprung to his mind. This came to him when he was reflecting upon the combat applications of this new form which would find itself most likely somewhat limited by its reliance on underwater environment. Indeed, to say very few shinobis would favor this sort of environment was an understatement, to say the least.

Hiru remembered he'd worked on a new technique not so long ago. Heck, it was so fresh in his mind he hadn't even had a chance to use it yet since he had spent a few days around his part to master it. It was a jutsu that was used to infuse the ambiant air with chakra laced water that could be used for a number of different things, all of which he had not had a chance to explore yet.
d20 [11] + Samehada [42] = 53 (pass/fail) [08/10]
Its main use was to generate a source of water for water jutsus. This allowed for greater generating speed and decreased chakra cost since it made the water easy to use and already marked with the user's chakra. However, Hiru remembered that it could also be used to allow aquatic based summons, such as fishes or sharks, to swim outside of the seas to be a threat to land creatures.
d20 [19] + Samehada [42] = 61 (pass/fail) [09/10]
Slowly, Hiru tried to weave a few hand seals to use the technique. He should have known better... Hiru hadn't realized that his new long clawed webbed fingers were not as easy to use as his regular ones. It wasn't so much that they were ill fitted for making hand seals so much that he would need to adjust to this aspect of an alternate form just as he had with any other kind of movement.
d20 [15] + Samehada [42] = 57 (pass/fail) [10/10]
It took him well over six or seven tried before he could efficiently weave hand seals with these hands. Heck, if his skin had been more brittle his hands and fingers would probably be covered in cuts from all these clumsy attempts at using ninjutsu. Still, with every try, more and more chakra flowed through his fingers and hands and, after a few moments, it seemed as though he'd be able to use ninjutsu.
d20 [02] + Samehada [40] = 42 (pass/fail)
Finally, he weaved the numerous hand seals required to use the technique he had originally set out to use : Water Style: Water-Heaven Convergence. As he slapped his hand on the ground, his massive chakra surged downwards before rising up again to the sky, carrying with it gallons and gallons of chakra infused water only waiting for an opportunity to be used by its "summoner".

d20 [02] + Samehada [42] = 44 (pass/fail)
Hiru felt his physical strength diminish as his chakra left his body to travel inside the ground. He indeed had anticipated as much since it was fairly clear his strength came in large part to the quantity of chakra stored in his reserves. Of course, was this a combat situation, he would have many opportunities to get it back; but for now, he'd just have to make sure to watch his consumption.
d20 [04] + Samehada [42] = 46 (pass/fail)
This training had proven taxing on his chakra reserves indeed. At least this physical part of the training required very minimal chakra as it seemed regular movement or taijutsu did not consume more chakra than it did when he moved in his unfused body. Still, the chakra synch and the merging process themselves had more than taken their toll on him before he moved on to the taijutsu aspect of the training.
d20 [09] + Samehada [42] = 51 (pass/fail)
Now focused on the water filling the ambient air, Hiru reached his arm upwards with his hand opened, just as though he was about to attempt a swimming stroke in the air. As he did, water condensed around his arm and all over his body; making this small area, barely an inch wide, feel like he was submerged in the ocean. This act barely required any chakra since the water itself was already infused with his.
d20 [09] + Samehada [42] = 51 (pass/fail)
Then, in one motion, he stroke his arm and pulled himself upwards, lifting with great velocity in the air. As he moved forward, more water condensed ahead of him and vaporized behind him, always acting as a propulsion agent for his movements. It quickly became obvious that the speeds he was able to generate underwater could to all accounts be matched on land if he were to first use this technique.
d20 [06] + Samehada [42] = 48 (pass/fail)
Trying to get a better handle on his new body, and understandably a bit excited to be nearly flying, he took a few moments to enjoy this new exercise. He tried to see how fast he could move or how high he could go. It actually turned out that, since water concentration reduced as he moved higher, the technique would not allow him to swim with the birds, something that would have been pretty exciting.

Jinton: Jinpo (Swift Release: Swift Step)
The most basic form of the swift release. This technique is an adapted version of the Body Flicker Technique fow which swift natured chakra is applied to increase its efficieny. Based on the same basic principle as its parent jutsu, the user activates his chakra to achieve increased speeds in order to move between various spots. However, swift natured chakra is added to technique, infusing the user's body and the space in his or her trajectory, dramatically increasing movement speed. Even to the trained eye, this jutsu generates such velocity that the user may appear to teleport from one location to the other. Cp Cost: 25 cp or 2 per ft. Dice Rolls: 2 Damage: Regular attack damage. Awareness DC: 10 + [Ninjutsu] + 2 per 10 ranks in Chakra Control. Requirements: Jinton, Ninjutsu 20, Chakra Control 15, Sneak Attack 20, Dexterity 20, Shunshin no Jutsu Training: 2 stages. Stage I: Ninjutsu DC 30, Adding swift chakra to the regular body flicker technique. Stage II: Chakra Control DC 25. Controlling the movement and distance of the new jutsu. Special: *When rolling initiation checks or racing, or anything that involves speed, add [Ninjutsu + 2 per 10 in Chakra Control] to the dice roll. Does not nullify Stealth checks. *If technique is used in combat, user may speed away from his opponent's sight and go into hiding if his or her adversary fails awareness check. *If technique is used offensively, user launches an attack of the highest Base Attack Bonus of the dice rolls used to intitate this jutsu. Target must pass awareness check or the attack will be considered a sneak attack. *If technique is used defensively, add [Ninjutsu + 2 per 10 in Chakra Control] to Dodge, Reflex, or anything involving evasion against a single attack or jutsu.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 1: Adding swift chakra to the regular body flicker technique. (These events occur a few weeks prior to the [Merchant Escort] mission.)
d20 [20] + Ninjutsu [55] = 75 (pass/fail)
Hiru barely had time to greet everyone after the procedure since his head was buzzing louder than a beehive and his limbs were shaking with such intensity he felt as though he had completely lost control. Desperately wanting to get his thoughts back together, he stumbled clumsily across the grove to reach the shoreline, the place where he'd always go to find his center. With a last few heavy, clumsy steps, he found the river where he had so often spent time as a child and crumbled to the ground to puke, his mind went going to the events that had just transpired.
d20 [20] + Ninjutsu [55] = 75 (pass/fail)
Even though he had not been explicitly briefed on the exact details of what the "assignement" was going to be, he was smart enough to know what being summoned to an operating theater could mean, especially a few weeks after a secret mission to a genetics lab in the Rain Country. Since he had been the one to recover the samples, he knew it could be one of two things...
d20 [11] + Ninjutsu [55] = 66 (pass/fail)
He remembered the four objectives from that facility: a virus vial from the suicidal scientist, a glowing vial in the room with the heavily mutated brute, an unknown chemial component and a secret scroll, which was their primary objective. At that point, he would have preferred to have been summoned to a library to study the scroll; however, he knew he wasn't reputed so much for his wits as for his combat skills, which would have made such a request unlikely.
d20 [14] + Ninjutsu [55] = 69 (pass/fail)
He had prepared for the worst; but there were two things that had still managed to surprise him. The first one: the attendance... It actually seemed as though all of the village's branch heads had reserved seats for the operation, probably wanting to make sure that their "investment" wasn't going to go to waste. Another surprise in that regard was a man he recognized as being a proxy for the Daimyo who was also present.
d20 [01] + Ninjutsu [55] = XX (pass/fail)
The second surprise had been the sheer magnitude of the resources deployed for the operation. Everywhere there were steel shells, monitors, wires, all surrounding a small chamber that looked like had been tailor made specifically for Hiru given its length and width. All around were medical shinobis, some Hoshigaki, some from other clans, and Hiru recognized a Hoshigaki proest from Samehada's shrine.
d20 [10] + Ninjutsu [55] = 65 (pass/fail)
If at first he had not understood the reason for such a large medical and professional task force, as he was explained the procedure he was about to undergo, it became abundantly clear. The odds of surviving such an operation were, to all accounts, null. Basically, any shinobi who had this substance shot through his body, especially with that catalyst cocktail making it so unstable the liquid nearly shattered the vial alone, would certainly leave his life on the operating table.

Dragging his mind back to the present a bit, Hiru used the familiar surroundings to focus his thoughts and concentrate on getting a hold back on his body in which he had started to feel uneasy and unfamiliar. It seemed as though he could barely recognize his own chakra. which had clearly its natural affinityy to earth, and now felt like it had a new surging energy, buzzing around his entire chakra system like it was a race track.
d20 [02] + Ninjutsu [55] = 57 (pass/fail)
It was an extremely strange feeling, it felt as though various parts of his body or of his senses were randomly accelerating and decelerating. It made extremely difficult for Hiru to control his movements with precision, as he struggled to compensate for even the slightest fluctuations in his chakra flow which seemed to accelerate his body for a second before letting it return to normal.
d20 [15] + Ninjutsu [55] = 70 (pass/fail)
He gathered all of his knowledge to understand how exactly his chakra had been altered, what "nature" could have this effect on his; yet, he couldn't quite wrap his mind around it. Unable to spend another second trying to get a hold of his body by repressing his surging chakra, Hiru decided he'd try a different, yet somewhat risky, maneuver. At this point, he certainly would have tried anything...
d20 [07] + Ninjutsu [55] = 62 (pass/fail)
Letting his chakra run free, Hiru exhaled as he made a step towards a clearing to begin a form of training. What exactly happened left him dumbfounded: in the period of a second, he ended up head first, his back against a tree on the other end of the shoreline, a long trail in the ground marking where his head had hit the dirt and how far it had kept going until he came to a stop.

d20 [05] + Chakra Control [55] = 60 (pass/fail)
In this somewhat... uncomfortable... position, his thoughts wandered back to the operation to try and unederstand this particular predicament. He tried to remeber the details of what had been briefed to him. Hhey had explained that they were going to infuse his body with what was certainly a formula develloped from another shinobi's bloodline limit; although they could not say which one it was going to be.
d20 [09] + Chakra Control [55] = 64 (pass/fail)
The reason why he had been chosen was also revealed, as unexciting as it might have been. It wasn't because of his merit that he had been appointed to this operation. There were three reasons to be exact. The first was his Hoshigaki physiognomy, which made him a lot sturdier than the average shinobi. The second was the fact that he had, so far, only learned of and develloped a single elemental affinity, which reduced the possibilities of conflict, and therefore, of rejection and complications.
d20 [08] + Chakra Control [55] = 63 (pass/fail)
The last one, which was actually the main reason why it HAD to be Hiru, was the fact that, since the cocktail was basically going to break his body down to the cellular level, Samehada's regenerative capacities were most likely going to be the difference maker between life and death in this operation. Since Hiru was the only one with a strong enough bond to the blade for it to heal his body, they didn't really have any choice but to settle for him.
d20 [18] + Chakra Control [55] = 73 (pass/fail)
What happened afterwards was a complete blackout. He only remembers a lot of surprise whispers as he opened his eyes, and a lot of questionning amongst the scientists as to whether or not the operation had been a success, since Hiru did not seem at all different when he left the tube as when he entered it. Hiru guessed there wouldn't be as many interrogations if they could see him now...
d20 [14] + Chakra Control [55] = 69 (pass/fail)
He tried to wrap his mind around what was actually going on here. He had heard of bloodline limits which gave people the ability to give new nature to their chakra, such as the Fubuki's ability to produce ice. Still, it was apparent that his chakra had taken on a new elemental affinity; but it wasn't anything as visible as steel, ice or wood which would leave very little to interpretation if it were to manifest.

Fen was relaxing in a tree as he watched Hiru and his progressions. He was amazed by the transformation just a small vial could do. He was almost envious... Okay he WAS pretty envious but he'd find another way to be different. He looked back at Hiru and called out. "Hey!" He smiled and waved at him. "You can do it! And If you do it soon I'll throw in a reward! What do you say?" He leaned back as he gripped the branch, causing him to slow down slightly before he let himself drop silently and head over to the Hiru. He stopped a good fifteen feet away for safety. He didn't know what Hiru was doing but it looked different to say the least.

Hiru was embarassed about to be seen in this situation, especially when he recognized his partner from the Amegakure mission a while back. It nevertheless took him a second to do so because he had pretty much only seen him with his mask on... Code name dog. He remembered Fenrir's psyche profile: the lone wolf, some even thought he had been raised by animals. One of the black ops most valued assets because of his loyalty and efficiency... Still, Hiru was glad to see he was friendly when not asked to murder someone.
Not entirely sure if he was being mocked or genuinely supported, Hiru decided to believe the latter, as his optimistic personality often lead him to do. "Hey there Fenrir-san!", he answered the wolf man in the tree, obviously embarrased to be found with a mouthful of dirt, head down against a tree. "I'm intrigued by the offer, I hope you're not just offering it because you doubt I'll survive to ask you for it!" he added with a touch of humour... and a hint of genuine concern.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jinton: Jinpo (Swift Release: Swift Step)
*If technique is used defensively, add [Ninjutsu + 2 per 10 in Chakra Control] to Dodge, Reflex, or anything involving evasion against a single attack or jutsu.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stage 1: Adding swift chakra to the regular body flicker technique. d20 [19] + Chakra Control [55] = 74 (pass/fail)
Getting back to his feet, Hiru was getting a sense of what his implanted bloodline limit might be; but it was a bit hard to understand. Hiru guessed that, like any other sense, what he was feeling right now could only truly be explained to someone who actually shares this feeling. The closest analogy he could try to rationalize this new ability was the faculty to turn chakra into a new elemental nature: speed.
d20 [19] + Chakra Control [55] = 74 (pass/fail)
He could hardly explain it, but that is how he felt when he crossed nearly 2 kilometers in a second. As soon, as he figured out this interesting theory, his mind started going 100 mph, thinking of multiple ways such a faculty could be used. Still, Hiru was skilled enough in ninjutsu and chakra control to know that you always had to start from the basics, and then work your way up to more complex jutsus.
d20 [09] + Chakra Control [55] = 64(pass/fail)
Obviously, the primary use for this would be going from point A to point B as quickly as possible, and, if also possible, doing it without a target knowing it. Remembering how that fast step felt last time, Hiru made all of the calculations in his head, quickly gauging how much chakra had been consumed when linked to the speed he had reached. Then, after a few seconds of reflexion, he gave his theory a shot.
d20 [13] + Chakra Control [55] = 68 (pass/fail)
In the blink of an eye, Hiru was at opposite ends of the vast shoreline. With every jump, his movements were sharper, more decisive, and more silent. He felt as though he could reach speeds that made the body flicker look like a jogging exercise, and barely could believe that his body could withstand it at all. He didn't know what shinobi this ability had been extracted from, but he couldn't understand how he could have gotten taken down at all...

In order to test out the efficiency of this new technique, Hiru tried surprising his partner to see how efficient this jutsu would be against opponents with highly develloped senses and awareness. Channeling swift chakra all the way up to the branch where Fenrir was perched, Hiru stepped right behind him in a flash and spoke to him candidly, trying to see if he had managed to surprise. him.

Appearing behind Fenrir, he simply and calmly said "So, Fenrir-san, what do you think?"
