Hidan: Kenjin Heigou (Hidden Art: Human Blade Merge)
Samehada merges with its wielder, merging their chakra systems, abilities, and increasing his overall physical abilities. The resulting creatures greatly resembles a practically perfect human/shark hybrid and is particularily effective in underwater combat. Cp: 150 Cp Dice Rolls: 5 Damage: Regular weapon damage. Reflex DC: n/a Requirement: Samehada 40, Chakra Control 40, Chakra 45, Ninjutsu 40. Training: 5 stages Stage I: Samehada DC 50, Studying the weapon's internal chakra systems. Stage II: Chakra Control DC 50, Synching your chakra system with the blade's to prepare for a merge. Stage III: Chakra DC 27, Flooding the blade with your synched chakra until it's chakra is indistinguishable from yours. Stage IV: Ninjutsu DC 50, Controlling the merge so that the two physical systems perfectly harmonize with each other. Stage V: Samehada DC 52, Familiarizing yourself with the new body to devellop combat efficiency. Special: *The blade and the user fuse into one being allowing the user to instantaneoulsy use any ability of Samehada. *The chakra reserves of the blade and the user become one and the same. *While underwater, increase [Base Attack Bonus], [Dodge Bonus], [Reflex], and any check related to underwater movement by [(Samehada - 10) / 2]. *Increase all checks to detect or identify targets who have chakra (basically anything that is a jutsu or alive) by [(Samehada - 10) / 2]. *Any physical contact with the user causes chakra damage to the individual touching him as though he or she had been struck by the blade.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 1: Studying the weapon's internal chakra systems. DC: 50 d20 + Samehada [40] 05/10
d20 [14] + Samehada [40] = 54 (pass/fail) [06/10]
Still, there was no telling exactly where the chakra channels were placed. Were they along the outer edge of the scales to make sure the maximized direct contact with targets or were they more towards the inside to make sure they would not be damaged if a scale was severed or broken. The distinction had to be identified in order to properly understand the weapon since its unique chakra system was the source of its power.
d20 [09] + Samehada [40] = 49 (pass/fail)
To try and better understand, he delicately carressed the blade, trying to see if he could identify patterns in the drain that occured. Of course, had Hiru not been the chosen wielder of Samehada, he would never have so extensively let it drain his own chakra. However, given their nearly symbiotic relationship, practically all of the chakra that was drained by the blade returned to him almost immediately.
d20 [06] + Samehada [40] = 06 (pass/fail)
Hiru focused on the quantity of chakra leaving his body as he rubbed the tip of his finger on an individual scale. He quickly realized that their didn't need to be a cut for the drain to occur. Still, it seemed that as his finger slid along the edge of one of the razor sharp scales, the drain oscillated. This clearly indicated that their was not a continuous chakra conduit along the rim, as if such was the case it would stable.
d20 [06] + Samehada [40] = 06 (pass/fail)
Hiru then started moving his finger along the inside of the scale. Again, he noted some variations, but he was starting to identify certain constants. Forst and foremost, he very quickly realized that a long chakra channel coursed through the middle of the scale from its stem all the way to the point of it. This was most likely the scale's main chakra stem. It was very likely that all of the others minor chakra channels stemmed from it.
d20 [12] + Samehada [40] = 12 (pass/fail) [07/10]
He delicately dragged his finger away from the center to see if he could detect a specific pattern for the chakra channels. After a few strokes he realized that the chakra channels had a structure very similar to the nurtrient canals of leaves, both in their shape and function. With that, Hiru had pretty much grasped the principle behind Samehada's scales. He still needed, however, to figure out the rest of this complex weapon's secrets.

[14+39=53][Success] Masaraku raised up on more wave in front of her. She focused on keeping the platform in the middle level so that she could ride it. She focused on its height, wanting the wave to be tall enough to ride. She focused on its shape, wanting the weight to carry it forward, and not backwards. All of these things she had learned through trial and error from all of the previous waves that she had made. She sent this one forward and focused on maintaining the shape until she hit her mark, and when she did, she used her chakra to force the wave down, crushing the invisible target below it.

Y A M A N A K A I don't care what the village wants. All I want is not to die without leaving a trace. "Look, open aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The first thing Inori did when the shoreline came to view, was to run for it. After however-much-time he had the misfortune to spend wandering around that grove, he was certainly glad to see open space again. He wouldn't know exactly how long they had been there, but it certainly felt at least like an hour or two had passed...though at least the sun was still up so dinnertime hadn't come yet. In his excitement, Inori had proceeded for the shoreline a little too fast: he did not see that the ground exiting the grove was quite different in elevation and with that, he had plunged off the ledge and fell down to the sand below.
"..."
For several long moments, there were no sounds from him. And then, slowly, weakly, his body twitched. Granted, he wasn't hurt: the sand buffered quite well. However, as his pulled the front half of his body from the sand, and spluttered out gritty-tasting bits of quartz fragments, his expression was certainly sour due to the severe blow to his dignity. An angry twitch lifted the corner of his mouth, and the inevitable, barely coherent string of cussing came.

While Tebiki followed him closely, it wasn't close enough that she tumbled after him... this time. Instead, she froze as she heard his yell, flinched at his thud, and refrained from giggling at his string of curses. He's just not a veyr lucky person, isn't he? Shaking her head, as he pulled himself out of the sand, she thought of how she would get down there safely... now if only she could tell how far down it was...
She scooted one foot forward, moving it from side to side in front of her. Things ere fine there, so she put her weight on it and used the other foot to scoot forward and test the grounds in front of her. She felt the drop off. Sitting down on the edge, she let her feet dangle, testing where the sand might be. If she stretched her toes down just a bit, she could feel it... just barely. That was good enough for her, and she slid off the edge and thumped softly, feet first.
"Well, at least I didn't land on you this time?"
With a hesitent smile, she held out her hand to help him up.

Y A M A N A K A I don't care what the village wants. All I want is not to die without leaving a trace. The string of curses were only cut short when he suddenly hacked, because another piece of the sand from before had been repulsed back up by his contracting throat muscles and made its way to his mouth. He coughed for several moments more, doubling over the sand, before finally confident enough to say that he was once again clean when he no longer tasted suspiciously grainy things in his mouth. He would've proceeded to resume the tirade of curses, but Tebiki took the moment to draw attention to herself.
His golden brows flew into his hair.
It was the last thing he wanted to hear - such a comment from her, that was - when he was still in the process of self-consolation. Multiple veins of irritation formed almost immediately on his face: Mayaku Tebiki was quite good at getting on his nerves! He refused to admit it, however. Getting on people's nerves was supposed to be his specialty after all. Instead, his only answer was picking up the nearest piece of a projectile: which was one of the numerous plentiful shells lying all over the beach's sand. This one was a small shell from some nautilus: there was only half of a frail piece left, it wouldn't make for a very mighty piece of assault, frail and dry as it was, but whatever.
He pelted the shell at her.
Shell Ball! It was his fault, she would come to say. He did totally start it. That was all he'll admit. The shells are not hard enough to do significant damage. Formula: 1d20 + 3 (Attack Ranged) vs Tebiki's DB Successes: 0/10

She wasn't expecting it, that was fur sure. Of course, why would a poor sighted girl expect that her not-really-a-friend would start chucking stuff at her? What did she do? She was just suggesting he should look at the bright ide, because it could have been worse! So, she took a shell to the face, and little sprinkles of sand got close to her eyes. In a frenzy to back up and away from him, rubbing to avoid the searing pain of little grains on extremely sensitive tissue, she tripped and fell backwards on a decently sized piece of driftwood.
For a moment she was stunned. What the hell is happening. He... He threw stuff at me! I can't... I can't... I... I'm so gonna get that jerk back!
She pulled her legs down with her body, as they had previously been sticking up in the air from her tumble, and while hiding, she started to feel around for shells, and any other fragments she could find.
This. Was. War.
From it's shape, rounded at the ends, but elongated, as if stretched, and because of it's texture... smooth on the inside, but rough, and somewhat flakey on the outside, she determined what she had was an oyster shell. Take this, you jerk-face! And she, too, let the shell fly. Too bad she couldn't see well.
Shell Ball! It's all his fault, he totally started it! What had she done? He couldn't even admit he was over-reacting. The shells are not hard enough to do significant damage. DC: 10+ 3(Inori's DB)= 13 Roll: 6+1(att ranged)= 7 Successes: 0/10 Failures: 1

Y A M A N A K A I don't care what the village wants. All I want is not to die without leaving a trace. A sunny grin that stretched from ear to ear threatened to split his mouth when he maliciously noted that the shell had mets its mark. Mental Inori did a happy dance: yes, that was right! Nobody would get away so easily making fun of him like that! Even when that somebody did offer him food...! He froze a little at that last thought. Maybe this was a tad ungrateful in terms of repayment... But quickly, he was forced to banish any feelings of guilt when an oyster shell made a beeline for his eye. With an indignant yelp, he dropped quickly to the sand, before rolling aside, and nimbly settled back on his feet again in a crouched position.
WHATEVER. SHE DID LAND ON HIM BEFORE ANYWAYS SO IT WAS EVEN.
He snatched up the nearest clam shell from the sand and tossed it at her, not even taking note anymore that his whole back itches with the grains of sand that got into his shirt. Small discomforts came secondary! Getting her back first was more important!

Though she crouched behind the driftwood, her head still peeked over it. It wasn't fair. While... she did have some form of cover, he was just a blur to her. She'd never be able to hit him at this rate. No! Don't think that. That's quitter-talk. Don't be like the dumb blonde boy!. Her motivation returned. Momentarily. Then she was smacked right between the eyes with a clam shell.
As it bounced off her face and make a soundless flop onto the sand beside her, she felt her face and the slight imprint it left. She wouldn't be surprized it was red... She also wasn't surprised that the attack came with an after-sting of sand. Biting her lift, she tried to keep herself from tearing up.
I'm gonna get you back you jerk-loser... JERK!
Well, what she wanted to do and what she actually did was two different things altogether. Which she may have scooped up another piece of shell to return fire with, and while she had a good arm, though poor aim, her eyes stung too much to make the toss a decent one. And as she fired her round, it would be no surprise if she missed. She simply ducked down further, muttering angrily, after she had done it this time.
"Stupid meanie, starting stupid fights for no reason but stupidness..."

Y A M A N A K A I don't care what the village wants. All I want is not to die without leaving a trace. This time, Inori did cheer aloud, as the shell cleanly met its mark, though his little victory cheer was cut short as a look of concern flitted across his face due to exactly where the clam shell landed. He hadn't expected that much of a beginner's luck, considering he did not spend much of his youth learning how to properly hurl projectile weapons. For a full moment, he wondered if she was actually hurt... The shell itself didn't feel very sharp to him, but who knows, with the physics of the throw and that the edge could've potentially crumbled.
Well anyways, his concern was effectively terminated when a returning shell launched back at him, clearly intent on vengeance. All Inori had to do was bend his head out of the way, and he made a face as he could've sworn he went to far and his neck was getting an unpleasant cramp. He bit down lightly on his lip to prevent any betrayal as to the pain. It truly helped when she started complaining. Forgetting his own discomfort, he returned his head to upright position and raised a brow.
Crossing his arms, he huffed.
"No, you did. What you said was just looking for a fight!"

"That's not true! I was just trying to be optomistic, something you clearly lack in your life!" She sniffled a little, muffling it behind a hand. He hadn't chucked anything at her yet, meaning she could rest for a second to attempt at removing the sand. Except... her hands were covered in sand, too! Frustraited, she tried rubbing them clean on her pants. This was ridiculous. It was pathetic. Why am I always the one beign accused of something? Why is it always my fault. It's not fair!
She grabbed another shell and gripped it tightly, making an impression in her own skin. "I have done nothing but try to be nice to you and all you've done is get angry at me because you misinterpret what I say. You started this and you damn well better finish it!" She was angry now. Sure, he'd helped get her out of the grove, but she fed him when he really needed it. Now he was attacking her. She knew the odds were against her in this one. If it were a straight up fist fight, she'd beat him down real good.
It wasn't that, though. However, she wasn't going to wave the white flag just so he could get a little ego boost and thik that he taught her a lesson/ She wasn't going to give up. She didn't have to put up with him. He wanted to fight? Fine. It was on his terms, but he was going to get as much of a fight as she could give.
Fury in her clouded eyes, she threw the shell and ducked down again.

Y A M A N A K A I don't care what the village wants. All I want is not to die without leaving a trace. Oh. Great. She was going all theatrical on him now? Inori looked nervously from left to right, as if to doubly make sure they were alone on the beach, before turning his attention back to her. She sounded like she was close to crying and hell, okami-sama knows he was not good with crying girls or rather crying anything. Big beads of sweat began appearing on his head, and it certainly had nothing to do with the scorching afternoon sun on the beach, his mind was frantically going off about what was the best way to calm her down before the fountain came.
And then she got angry. He blinked. Wow, she certainly changed moods fast. Was that what all girls were like? He did distantly remember his female teachers being fussier than the gee-... A shell smacked him straight on the cheek.
A vein formed on his temple.
Why that sneaky little vixen!
Before the shell even fell down to the ground again, he snatched it midair, and without losing an interval, he hurled it back at her.

At top speed, the shell was returned to her, smacking the top of her head and skidding of into the sand behind her. "Ow, damn it..." She took a second to rub the sore spot and kept low. They were at a stand still. She didn't want to give up, and obviously neither did he.
This just sucks. Why can he just admit he was over reacting. Throwing stuff at me to start a fight is not the way to go... and not because I suck at throwing stuff. Which she really did. He was the one to start it all, so if he wanted it to stop, he had to stop first. Wait... didn't he just stop a mo- yeah just to accuse me, that doesn't count! That was it, she had to keep herself angry. Had to keep it flowing. If she didn't, then all that sadness she felt... at having thought she might have made a friend... but it turned out he still, after all this time, hated her...All that... it would just make her tear up more than the sadn could, though she was glad she had the sand as an excuse.
The point was, she couldn't allow anyone to see her cry. She, too, had pride.
Back to business, Tebiki had scooped up another shell fragment, but right when she was about to let it fly, loose grains of sand filtered into the corner of an eye as she blinked. Groaning, she dropped the improvised weapon and did what somebody should nevr do... she rubbed it. She muffled another moan of displeasure and she tried to get the evil grains out. This was not going so well for her.

Y A M A N A K A I don't care what the village wants. All I want is not to die without leaving a trace. This time he didn't bother to stick around and probably observe with raised brows as to what she would do next. Meh, he was sure she would only do the same thing anyways. Madly hop in place. Start screaming at him, probably. And then continue on with their little war. And then rinse and repeat. Soooo. If there was going to be no difference anyways, he certainly won't let her get an edge again.
So he might as well get a head start right? Thought Inori happily. Now, what to do about shelter... He was definitely being over-arrogant before thinking he wouldn't need to resign himself to driftwood and she managed to get him. Well, true, he also did stop to talk to her, and that also was his mistake. Anyhow, as far as shelter went, it would seem as the wise men would say: certain hard times call for certain compromises. There was no shame in applying naturally available resources!
He spotted a well-sized piece of driftwood, and a slow smirk lazily crossed his face. Without losing a moment, he grabbed up a piece of shell from the sandy beach, and hurled the weapon at her, before he made a break for his new base.

There was a short pause, a break in the flinging as it might be called. She continued to rub and grmble, even though it was doing her no good at all. That's when another one hit her shoulder. Still going at it, huh? What a jerk... She seemed to like using the word jerk. The shell had bounced off it's target and landed in her lap in an uncerimonious manner. Her eyes, blurred more than usual, couldn't even see the light colored object on her darker clothes. She felt it's weight, however, and with a fit of annoyance, swiped at it... back-handing it away from her and into the sand a few feet away. This just sucks! She was going to associate sea shells, and anything that included them, with getting sand in her eyes for the rest of eternity. She'd probably never go shell hunting again with her family. Not that she was any good at it, but it was supposed to be one of those fun things that people do together...
I could just end this... right now. I could just stop and just sit here... I could at least focus on cleaning my eyes out, or something. I could just ignore him. If he wanst to blame me for "starting fights" then whatever. It's not my problem if he wants to be an angry brat all the time. Hypocracy. Of course, just because I stop doesn't mean he will. Heck, if I just get up and go home, he'd probably still throw stuff at me as I left...
Why should she just sit there and take it, though? It wasn;t her fault, and he threw the first shell. He had no intention of stoopping and being nice, and it wasn't like they were friends or anything. She was going to keep going, after all... she had to "finish it" like she yelled at him to do. Would be rude to just walk out on him after telling him that, right. But first... her eyes.
She practically pulled her shirt over her face, just to get a clean spot where she could wipe the threatening and tratorous tears away, along with some sand, but not much. She rubbed her eyes on a few more dry spots on her shirt before uncovering her face... After that, they still stung, but she could at least see well enough to aim. And while aiming was something she was bad at... she knew what she was doing this time.
Looking over her log, she saw that he was no longer out in the open. A little disappointed, she glanced about the surrounding area. There was another large piece of drift wood... She smiled. So, he wanted to steal her idea, huh? Because the perfectly sighted one was too cowardly to face the blind girl. Yeah, that must have been it. Standing up, for once, she though she could see is crouched body, so that was where she flund that shell. It had better hit, otherwise she was going to not be very happy.
After a second, she realized she was out in the open and ducked down again. Why did she feel like she was forgetting something very important...?
