Tebiki's attention focused solely on the person she heard drawing nearer. At a certain point, she was able to actuaslly see the blurr that was the person, getting closer and closer, though not with any haste. Then, when the woman was finally close enough to stop, as she seemed to do was stare for the moment. Not that Tebiki could tell... because she couldn't. It just felt that way. So... she nearly heald her breath, and waited for an interaction of some sort. When she got it... she was actually surprised. Her voice was quiet, pretty, and... older? It was almost the way she spoke that the girl could tell this. After all, the different generations, or different ages, had different ways of carrying themselves. The rarity of her clan was commented on, that was interesting. "Though rare, It's an honor to actually be recognized... thank you... ma'am?" She tilted her head to the side. "I'd greet you more... properly, but... I don't recognize you at all." Carefully chosen words. If this woman truly knew of her clan, she should know of their sight, though she may not know of the youth in the clan's inability to see until they start their shinobi training. However, despite this ability or inability to see as the clan does, it was common knowledge that they did not see as normal people do. Furthermore, if the other standing with them did not know of her or her clan, she was not just going to blur out she was practically blind. People either had a way of wanting to pick on or coddle such people, and she didn't like either.
Pushing that aside, she asked with more curiosity. "Child of the Sage?"

"Hold one, hold on, what's a Sage? Like Sage of the Six Paths, Sage?" Shinzu asked, honestly having no idea what the chilly girl even meant by that. He'd grew up a regular member of the Mist, and had then focused on perfecting his Taijutsu abilities after becoming a ninja. So beyond tactics, he had very little knowledge of the wider ninja world. Which was why he had put his name down for a mission that would allow him to further explore the world which he knew so litle of.

"Yes. Myaku and my Fubuki Ichizoku are distantly related." Came her serene reply. She had heard children not of the aristocratic families weren't as well-versed in shinobi history, and it would seem this was true. But she did not comment further on this and she returned her attentions to Tebiki.
"My name is Hatsuyuki. It is a pleasure to meet you."
Her blue-gray eyes slightly widened then.
"Ah..." Her right hand flew to her mouth, and her eyes lowered. The color of her long black lashes stood out sharply against her snowy skin, making it seem even paler and more unmarred. She looked visibly embarrassed.
With a graceful movement, her hand shifted down and rested lightly over her collarbone, in a simulacrum of a formal bow. "Ah, gomen..."
She paused.
"What are your names?"

Ahhhhh, so that explained it. Somewhat. She did not know that the woman was of the Fubuki clan. That was interesting. The girl almost wondered how she felt about this, how her clan had distant relatives around them as well. Part of them probably wouldn't care. After all, the further away the family ties are, unless you're close for a significant amount of time, the less likely you are to care those people existed. Well, caring wasn't the right word. Probably notice was a better one. Still, this meeting was very interesting to her, and seeing as the Fubuki were much higher on the totem pole, she would give them the respect they held claim to. She bowed. "The pleasure is all mine, Lady Fubuki." She raised her head, and then paused. What should she say now? Would it be polite to ask questions? That would depend on how personal they were. Perhaps about the academy, since she had yet to attend..? Her thoughts were interrupted by the woman's apology. What was that for? "Ah... no need to apologize... my name is Myaku, Tebiki..." Then she glanced at the other. "And I don't know who he is."

Shinzu Akara Hp: 224 Cp: 168 MHp: 196
"I am Shinzu Akara." Shinzu said somewhat arrogantly, he'd grown to have a relatively poor opinion of Clans. Well at least ones that thought they were better then anyone else. In his experience that wasn't an issue too much with Fubuki, but he'd only had to deal with two, and both were younger then he was. "So, you're both part of a clan? Well different clans?" He asked. Obviously the Fubuki was part of a clan, but he didn't know the other girl was. She certainly didn't act like it, in his experience every clan was hardcore about thier members going to school, ninja or civilian.

X X X H A T S U Y U K IX X X X X X X X X X X f u b u k i XThey had interesting names, that was for certain. Tebiki for "divine guidance" and Shinzu for "God's gift". It was not surprising that the Myaku fledgling was given such a name by her family... The children from the oldest clans were often given names either related to their family's unique ability, or names that link them back to the Progenitor. But for the boy, who does not appear to be from any Ichizoku she could immediately name... Hatsuyuki studied him steadily. She wonders: what could be the motivations of his parents to give their child a burdensome name? Were they perhaps hoping one day he would become of significant value to the village?
That was why names were interesting to her. They reflect a part of the whole, giving the first insightful look into someone's very being. Of course, since children had no part in choosing their own names... What interested her more was how someone would present themselves. The boy had a lot of pride, self-assertiveness, he was destined definitely for greatness. But the girl, just as the first outlook of her chakra levels implied, was a variable as of the moment: a wildcard for Kiri. The boy already had been molded this way and that by the whims of the village. The girl was not, an open-minded fledgling who will one day become of importance to Kiri.
"Yes." Hatsuyuki replied to the boy. "And no. The ability to use a unique sixth affinity is what connects our families. In essence, the same type of kekkai genkai."
She looked to the girl then.
"Myaku-san, your family may stand few in numbers on Kiri's lands, but you are always welcome to study what little Fubuki Ichizoku knows regarding the mechanism of Elemental Creation."

Yebiki didn't like the tone he was taking, but whatever. Maybe he had something on his mind that was grating at him, like she had previously. At his question, assuming it was directed at her as well, she shrugged it off as no big deal. "I'm a part of the Myaku clan, the first of my clan born in this village." What else could she say about her clan that didn't outright tell something about how they did their shinobi business? Was she even allowed to talk about that sort of thing outside the family when she wasn't even in the academy yet? Besides, it wasn't like it meant anything until she could do it herself. However, the offer that was made to her next... it perked her up quite a bit. "Oh? That... that sounds great. I would love to learn what I can, though... I haven't even started the academy yet. I'm supposed to any day now, when the new teacher gets in, but... well, I'll have to take you up on that when I reach that phase. If I ever do, that is..."

Shinzu Akara Hp: 224 Cp: 168 MHp: 196
Shinzu was mostly lost at this point. Words like elemental creation, sixth affinity, and Myaku, were mostly lost on the clanless taijutsu boy. He did know what a kekkie Genkai was, and figured sixth affinity and Element creation were connected to that. Afterall he knew the Fubuki were able to able to make ice, which wasn't one of the core five elements. "So the Myaku can make a new element, like the Fubuki?" Shinzu asked after thinking for a moment, and putting all the pieces together. So the girl was supposed to go to the Academy, they should be in session about this time. "Hey maybe you should go to the academy..." He said.

Stage 1: Studying the weapon's internal chakra systems. DC: 50 d20 + Samehada [40] 07/10
d20 [20] + Samehada [40] = 60 (pass/fail) [08/10]
Now having grasped the basic mechanism beehind the scale's chakra system, the next step was to understand how they all fit together into the weapon's main body. To this point, it was clearer than ever to Hiru that calling Samehada a weapon was probably a semantic mistake. It was now certain that this particular organism was very well alive, and even sentient, making it a creature first, and a "blade" second.
d20 [20] + Samehada [40] = 60 (pass/fail) [09/10]
Hiru planted Samehada in the ground, the top of it against the earth, to examine more closely the creature's handle. It's texture, though clearly organic, was not of the same color or texture as the rest of its body. It had a yellow color and almost felt smooth to the touch. Still, its shape was irregular enough for the handle to generate sufficient friction for it not to slip from the hand of its wielder.
d20 [03] + Samehada [40] = 43 (pass/fail)
It was clear that the handle's chakra system felt very different from the scales that covered Samehada. Instead of being made for sucking in chakra, it appeared to have a natural affinity to transfer it, easily allowing the wielder to absorb chakra it would drain through combat. Its chakra system was extremely condensed along the center part of the structure and seemed to evacuate along the slits of the handle.
d20 [02] + Samehada [40] = 42 (pass/fail)
Hiru could still feel an irregularity in the chakra system of the handle. If at first he questionned himself as to what it might be, he quickly realized what it was. Very specific points of the chakra system, if he focused sufficiently, felt like the scales' chakra channels. He hadn't seen them in action very often since he was very rarely disarmed by a foe, but these were most likely the spiles that protruted if Samehada diagreed with the wielder who tried to wield it.
d20 [14] + Samehada [40] = 54 (pass/fail) [10/10]
After nearly an hour of studying the blade, Hiru felt a deeper connection to it than he had ever before and felt as though he was ready to give a shot at mastering what had so far been the ultimate technique for a wielder of Samehada: the complete merge. This was an extremely delicate and complex maneuver, however, it could prove an extremely efficient tool for combat, especially given his particular skill set.

d20 [17] + Chakra Control [45] = 62 (pass/fail) [01/10]
Hiru was fairly convinced he had more than a working understanding of Samehada's complex chakra system. Learning its basic functionning had certainly been a challenge; however it was a necessary milestone to mastering the extremely complex technique he was now preparing to realize. Anything less and all of his efforts would have been in vain; something he certainly could not allow.
d20 [17] + Chakra Control [45] = 62 (pass/fail) [02/10]
Hiru was just coming up with ideas as they porpped up since there was no instruction manual on Samehada techniques and none of its previous wielders were alive today to tell him what to do. Still, as with most merging techniques, the basic principle is to synchronize your chakra system with the other organism in order to make them nearly indistinguishable. This way the two physical forms would more easily be compatible.
d20 [20] + Chakra Control [45] = 65 (pass/fail) [03/10]
Hiru reflected for a while on just what that would mean. Samehada itself, though it was alive, was not a shinobi by any means. This meant that unlike other fusion techniques, Hiru had to do all of the work on his end instead of being met halfway by a partner. Therefore, he needed to duplicate all of Samehada's unique traits and to adapt to them himself, this way becoming one with the creature.
d20 [20] + Chakra Control [45] = 65 (pass/fail) [04/10]
The first and primary characteristic Samehada's chakra system has is it function to absorb all outside chakra. From any source actually. Hiru needed to find a way to reproduce this particularity in his own chakra system since it would be the cornerstone of the merge itself. Not exactly sure how he would proceed, he took a second to reflect upon it, realizing this would require extremely delicate chakra control.
d20 [17] + Chakra Control [45] = 62 (pass/fail) [05/10]
Lucky for him, Hiru had spent extensive time studying the Ckara Kyuin Justsu (Chakra absorption technique) which meant that he was familiar with the process by which a host can suck out and absorb external chakra. Not only had he learned the technique itself, but he had also worked on his own variation of it by integrating it in a signature combat style that had been his trademark over the years.
d20 [11] + Chakra Control [45] = 56 (pass/fail) [06/10]
During his time working on and develloping the technique, Hiru had understood that, in order for his chakra system to suck out chakra, he needed to have it maintained at an extremely low level everywhere on the edges of his own chakra system. This gave it the tendancy to attract chakra in order to balance the chakra levels throughour his entire system, thus attracting chakra towards itself from anywhere it could.

d20 [06] + Chakra Control [45] = 51 (pass/fail)
Reflecting upon it, Hiru realized that the same basic principle probably also applied for Samehada's chakra system. The only difference was that Samehada was in a constant state of chakra absorption unlike the basic technqiue which was activated for brief periods of time. Based on his assessment from earlier, he seemed to have noticed that the scale's chakra levels were always lower than the core's.
d20 [17] + Chakra Control [45] = 62 (pass/fail) [07/10]
Luckily, Hiru had trained extensively on keeping his body in a constant state of chakra absorption so the transiition would not prove too difficult. His signature style, Hiruken (Leech Fist), applied the same basic principle to physical combat, both unarmed and with weapons. He would simply need to reproduce this state while preparing for the merge and the most arduous part of the training would be done.
d20 [11] + Chakra Control [45] = 56 (pass/fail) [08/10]
Once Hiru had put himself in Hiruken mode, the next step was too reproduce the blade's chakra channeling trait. Indeed, even though Samehada's main characteristic was to absorb the chakra, Hiru had long since realzied it also had quite unique capabilities to channel this chakra and use it to various ends, such as healing, recharging chakra supplies, growing, and most likely many other uses that had not yet been explored.
d20 [09] + Chakra Control [45] = 54 (pass/fail)
Still, even though this aspect might have first looked to be more complex than basic chakra absorption; it really wasn't. To all extent, the blade simply did what all shinobi do on a daily basis: ninjutsu. Indeed, the act of using stored chakra to various ends was the very definition of the technique, and, even though Hiru could not use Samehada's ability himself, would know how to activate them once he was merged.
d20 [16] + Chakra Control [45] = 61 (pass/fail) [09/10]
However, this did not mean by any extent that the process would be simple. In fact, even though the basic principle was the same as ninjutsu, the unique abilities Samehada posseses are dependant on its even more unique physiognomy. This meant that before a full merge is completed, Hiru would not be able to even grasp what physiological structures are sollicitated for each of its specific abilities.

d20 [02] + Chakra Control [45] = 47 (pass/fail)
There were basically two techniques that would need to be figured out. The first part would be the unique healing jutsu of Samehada that could, to all extent, heal absolutely any wound; even deadly ones. Hiru was certain that no shinobi could do such a thing with standard healing ninjutsu, which meant that there must have been a unique organ or chakra channel inside the blade that made this technique possible.
d20 [17] + Chakra Control [45] = 62 (pass/fail) [10/10]
The second would most likely be its increase in activity as it absorbed chakra, which translated physiologically for the blade when it absorbed chakra as an increase in its size. For this aspect, Hiru wasn't sure if their merged form would grow or if it would simply become stronger and more athletic, but he certainly knew that, save for a few specific clan hijutsus, no standard ninjutsu could mimic such an ability.

Now that he had a working understanding of how he would prepare his chakra system, all he needed to do was put this well thought out theory to good use. Of course, this meant that now, the physical aspect of the training would start and all of this focus, concentration and meditation would be put aside for, too put it mildly, the good old blood sweat and tears. This would certainly not prove easy...
Cp: 623
d20 [09] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 28 (pass/fail)
Hiru started out slow, he gradually adjusted his chakra system in the manner he had previously established. Exactly like he did during his Hiruken, he slowly migrated his chakra from his peripheral channels to his core channels, creating a significant imbalance in his chakra system. Even though this was not a feeling that was particularily pleasant, it was a discomfort to which he was used.
Cp: 608
d20 [03] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 22 (pass/fail)
Now that this first step was done, Hiru paused for a second to feel his resonance with Samehada. He needed to be exactly on the mark; otherwise, the creature would identify as a foreign host and would oppose the merge, making it impossible to complete. Very gradually, Hiru forced a small fraction of his adapted chakra into Samehada to see how it would react to it, crossing his fingers that it would not spit it out.

As his chakra slowly trickled into the blade through the chakra channels that coursed thgouh his palm; Hiru felt a slight tug from Samehada. His first reaction was to think that the chakra was too different from its own, meaning it would simply consume it as it would any other foreign chakra. However, Hiru had felt Samehada's drain in the past; heck, he felt it constantly as he was its source of nourishment...
Cp: 578
d20 [06] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 25 (pass/fail)
This time, it felt a bit different. Samehada's initial reaction had very clearly been to absorb and digest the chakra; however, it quickly changed to a more passive drain which was not forced by its forever hungry chakra system. Even though this was but a first step in the process, Hiru was overjoyed that it showed, to say the least, very great promise, something he was delightly surprised to see.
Cp: 563
d20 [20] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 39 (pass/fail) [03/10]
Even though this first attempt had been succesful, now wasn't the time to start slacking off. The quantity of chakra Hiru had poured into Samehada was an infinitecimal fraction of his chakra reserves, and the full merge would require that the entirety of their chakra be flooded into a common recipient, making them indistinguishable one from another and adding to each other to be put at the wielder's disposal.
Cp: 548
d20 [20] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 39 (pass/fail) [04/10]
The theory behind the merge now haing been proved to be sound, Hiru could now focus on adapting his entire chakra system to be compatible with Samehada's. This would certainly turn out to be a chanllenge despite his relative ease with the technique since, even though he was used to the chakra conduits in his hands to absorb chakra, he now needed to adapt his entire body to it.

Hiru therefore channeled the chakra drain technique, first, through the rest of his arms, all the way up to his shoulders. He thought this would make an efficient transition from simply channeling inside the palms of his hands. This proved to be a great challenge since these chakra channels were barely ever used for ninjutsu since very few techniques required body wide channeling of chakra.
Cp: 518
d20 [11] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 30 (pass/fail) [06/10]
Hiru pondered for a while on how he would be able to facilitate this process. He tried to think of a jutsu he had already learned which sollicitated his entire chakra system and could only think of one: the Mizu Kawarimi (Water Replacement Technique). For this jutsu, he very quickly and very efficiently had to use every single last ounce of his chakra to turn his entire body into water.
Cp: 503
d20 [13] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 32 (pass/fail) [07/10]
This technique's principle could probably facilitate a full adaptation of its user's chakra system since, for this jutsu, forgetting even a millimeter of flesh irrigated by his chakra channel could have disastrous results. Indeed, if his entire body turned into water but not his left knee, the result would prove extremely messy and painful. This way, he knew he could use it as a framework for this part of the technique.
Cp: 588
d20 [08] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 27 (pass/fail)
Very gradually, Hiru's entire system adapted to its temporary form. As he did, Hiru flet the strangest thing. Bit by bit he could start detecting foreign chakra coursing through his own system. It was very subtle since both were so similar, but he quickly came to realize that just as he had sent chakra into Samehada, Samehada had started pumping chakra into his system by instinct.
Cp: 573
d20 [01] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 20 (pass/fail)
As both chakras slowly mixed Hiru could adapt to Samehada's energy, making the difference between them less and less palpable with every passing moment. Very soon, he could start feeling the surge of chakra through his entire arms, then his feet and his legs. Gradually, the chakra which only coursed through his peripheral system started flodding his central system as well.

Slowly, his internal chakra system overflowed with chakra. At this point, saying if it was his or Samehada's was practically impossible to do, since not only had Hiru adapted his own chakra sytem to be similar to the creatures, but it appeared that the very contact between the two intitally different chakra flows made them even more similar than they were at the beginning of the merge, something he had not anticipated.
Cp: 543
d20 [19] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 38 (pass/fail) [09/10]
This however, was not so surprising as Hiru reflected further upon it. Samehada and him had been in so many battles together and had trained so arduously that it was inevitable that, at some point, their chakra imprints would become nearly indistinguishable. This also explained why a very level of compatibility was required between the two organisms for this to work, something not all wielders had achieved in the past.
Cp: 528
d20 [10] + Chakra Modifier [19] = 29 (pass/fail) [10/10]
After a few seconds of trading chakra, something very sudden and powerful happened. At the very same moment, Samehada's chakra entered Hiru's heart and Hiru's chakra entered Samehada's core, making a direct link between the two. The feeling was so unnerving that it took Hiru a few seconds to gather his spirits and realize that he was now ready to start the merge.
