Abzu, Squire of Neptune

"Fair enough." There was probably more trouble on their wonders themselves, maybe. He honestly hoped not. Abzu wasn't exactly the most equipped to deal with danger. Leave that to other people. Like ... Basiluzzo, honestly, he was better equipped for it, but Abzu wouldn't say anything like that with Stromboli nearby.

He wouldn't let Basiluzzo throw himself into a deadly situation anyway--

"I'll have to find someone to watch Ibirapitá while I go code piece searching, I suppose. Not sure where my past lives thought it was worth setting, but it isn't obvious." Of course it ******** wasn't. Why would it be easy!

Abzu couldn't necessarily say anything about not having gone recently, but he could certainly shoot Stromboli a side-eye that was not malicious but was certainly intended to make a point. "Sounds like you're gonna have to go now." No more delaying with his myriad of stubborn excuses.

He was going and he was going to get his damn ring while he was there, dammit.

Aragon, Page of Pluto
(Thinking about things and talking to Bilskirnir.)

Aragon nodded patiently, having known Bilskirnir all his life so it was easy to decipher the gestures and vague comments. At least for the most part. It seemed as though his brother was pretty new to all of this as well. Or rather, he didn’t have the same experience as Valhalla and many others.

It wasn’t surprising that Bilskirnir wasn’t entirely sure about things, but his heart was in the right place and he was enjoyable to be around, so Aragon didn’t mind. If he learned things he was supposed to know, then that was great. If not, then he would figure it out.

He still wasn’t sure how he felt about being a Knight. It still felt like a trick. But there were so many others, and he knew his brother couldn’t pull off something as realistic as this for a prank.

Aragon glanced down at the watch on his wrist, and flexed his hand. It was strange, but it didn’t feel wrong. And there were obviously people from all walks of life there. He didn’t even mind the outfit he had. Some were quite… colorful. All unique. It was fun to see such diversity.

So this Code and the knights were supposed to have a symbiotic relationship. Okay, then that just meant he would have to listen to Bilskirnir and trust him when he says strange things like finding rings.

“I don’t suppose this… Wonder of mine is actually on Pluto,” he hummed, intrigued. If they were truly on the moon, then maybe there was some more magic involved for everywhere else.

Send up any Transcended senshi, huh? Xibalba made a note to have Chariklo come up as soon as possible to help the Code. Fortunately, he already knew where his own little piece of the Code resided in his Wonder, so he wasn’t terribly concerned with hunting it down. As for resonating with it… Well. He was a little rusty in that regard and wasn’t adverse to spending time righting things. He honestly hoped that his Wonder was in decent shape. The idea of it being otherwise was more than a little alarming.

Almost as alarming at the idea of some weird magical explosion coming from a supposedly uninhabited pocket of space.

The Mars squire sighed and closed his eyes in order to better focus on the Code’s words. He wanted as much information as possible before jaunting off to check on projected damage.

—--------------------------

Ogygia had just listened. She’d never come across a Code piece the few times she’d been up and she was a full knight. So anything that could help her to find it was welcome. At least, she thought wryly, she wasn’t entirely alone in not encountering bits of the Code hanging out at Wonders.

Still, she wasn’t going to admit her lack to anyone. She’d simply go one the meeting was done and do her best to simply do and be. She found it difficult to fully trust herself, but if that was what was needed, well. She’d do her best. With any luck, her search would be short.

She’d worry about potential damages later.

—-----------------------

For her part, Nis felt more and more worried the longer the Code talked. Magical explosions and threats from beyond. It was all too much. She just wanted to get to her Wonder and check it over. She’d even mind-meld with the Code piece there if it would help anything. The idea of anything there being damaged was enough to invoke the beginnings of a panic attack. Only the Code’s reassurances that any damage would be reversible kept her from flying into hysterics then and there.

Listening closely, she made mental note of every bit of advice the Code gave. Regardless of her personal feelings, she’d do as asked because she couldnt’ bear the thought of losing her Wonder.

Bifrost, Transcendant Knight of Chronos
[ Wiggling, giving energy to the Code, more wiggling ]

There was a lot going on. She followed the conversation quietly as the Code began to speak. So there was an explosion and then some sort of barrier and the Code was refreshing itself?

She excused herself from Connie and Belmont and Pieria briefly - "Going to give some of this built up energy to the Code, be right back!" - and moved through the crowd to where the Code was floating. The Code's sass brought a small smile to her face as she approached.

"Well you're already feeling better, the sass is coming out again," she said to the Code, before concentrating on transferring energy to it. She felt the itch under her skin begin to lessen and she breathed a sigh of relief. Oh the itching was gone! Thank the stars!

Bifrost made her way back to the small group, settling back into listening intently. Connie got kind of loud but all she did was smile at the squire.

"You are fine, Connie, don't apologize for your enthusiasm," she said, gesturing to the wiggling that she herself was doing. It sort of looked like she was trying to fluff her cape with her shoulders, while also wiggling her butt a little. Everyone showed their enthusiasm differently, Connie's just had some volume to it.

Crisium, Page of the Moon
[ Being kind of overwhelmed again, staying with Qinqcheng, Nalanda, Erytheia and Amsvartnir ]

Oh this was a lot, good grief all these people were so helpful it was almost too much. He held up his hands in slight surrender.

"I'm alright, thank you though. I just get overwhelmed, and with my wonder being inaccessible, I'm more on edge than my meds will ah, contain," he said, absolutely repeating himself just in slightly different words. The Code started talking - he gave a grateful smile to Nalanda as he gave him a bit of breathing room - and he fell silent to listen.

Well none of that sounded great, but explained why he couldn't get to the Mare Crisium right now. And he knew exactly where the Code piece was, given that he had to actually put it on his wonder to begin with.

It would be surprisingly easy, except maybe the meditation part. At the very least, he'd be alone? Hopefully?

Though maybe he didn't want to be alone in case something exploded at him? Yeah. Maybe he'd take a partner just in case.

Yeah.

"I know where my Code piece is, thankfully. I had to bring it to my wonder to connect with it in the first place? I get the feeling that is very much a 'Moon Knight' thing..." he said to the group, glancing around at the people talking softly around them.

Erebus, Transcended Knight of Saturn]

At first he hadn't noticed the pull, the call. Terry had been sitting nearby his husband but had his attention on his laptop as he wrote down a few ideas to follow up later foe work. It was only when Seung had nudged him that it had sunk in what he was feeling. The brunette set aside his laptop on a nearby surface and followed after his husband, not even bothering with shoes as they didn't seem as important when he knew they would be powering up soon. It was a relief to have that thought after the struggle it had been for the past week. The struggle to connect to his Wonder was something he certainly wasn't used to, especially after he had transcended so long ago.

He followed Seung's action in powering up and got a letter in return, nodding in response to Venice's words. When the arrived he had reached out to help stabilize Venice, though he had wavered himself. "Well, you aren't wrong there, we haven't been all that active outside of close circles huh?" Erebus nodded as he glanced at the dull looking code himself only for his attention to go back to Venice when he mentioned Havasu. The Saturn Knight was a step behind Venice when he went to greet Havasu and Erebus gave a smile in greeting himself but stayed quite to take in the rest of the room as well. Of course he quite willingly moved where his Husband wanted him and wrapped an arm around him in return.

His eyes went back to Hav and he gave another smile. "It wasn't as bad as it could have been and I'm just glad you are alright." Erebus' eyes darted over to the Code however when it started to speak, giving a frown at how tired it sounded. It made sense that the Code was having trouble, during the past week he had tried to use his summon only for it to act like a puppy and ignore him completely to chase butterflies.

A Venice Page was soon joining their small group and Erebus gave her a small smile and a hello. "It's Tuesday now." he said to Hav with a sympathetic look to add on to the date that Venice had given. His attention was quickly caught by the Code again as it started to explain why things had been trouble for the past week. A look of determination passed his eyes as the Code mentioned they had to personally help at each of their Wonders, something he would of course be willing to do.

Erebus had already found the Code piece housed within his Wonder years ago. It was kept safe underground, hidden under the heart of his Wonder where the Erebus of the past had lived so he knew it wouldn't take long for him to start on what the Code had asked of him. He looked over at Venice and gave a small smile. "Guess we have some work to do soon. Not sure how long it will take but my parents will be fine keeping the kids another night at least."

Regal, Squire of Chronos

"Eli," Regal chided softly, casting a sharp sideways glance to his husband for the 'inspired' questions he'd presented. It wasn't fair of him to be upset exactly- Sawtooth knew how unenthusiastic Regal was about much of anything to do with being powered.

But he definitely didn't appreciate the insinuation that he wouldn't do something. Just because he didn't want to, didn't mean he wouldn't.

Especially in a situation where everyone needed to lend a hand. One could probably argue that the whole war was a situation where 'everyone needed to lend a hand,' but... Regal doubted he had much to offer to anything so large a scheme. At least in regards to tending to his own Wonder, there was no one more suited to the task. ...Allegedly.

He'd spent so little time there, Regal knew next to nothing about his Wonder. He didn't know its history, he didn't know its layout, he didn't know where a 'safe space' to hide a Code piece could even be. It might be kinder to just 'lose the connection,' as the Cornerstone piece threatened...

But Sawtooth would be unimaginably disappointed in him.

Regal could probably live with that- one more disappointment upon the mountain of them that he'd offered to his husband in the last handful of years. Zero would be disappointed too, and he could tolerate that less. He sighed, raked a hand back through hair pink as the morning dawn, then offered a tiny, tentative smile. The best he could do in that moment. "I suppose we should all be very scared that this happened, but maybe something good will come out of it..."

If he could strengthen his connection to Regal, maybe it wouldn't be for nothing... If it could make him feel anything for some dead and distant world, whatever wrongness Sawtooth had suffered could at least mean something.

Sumner, Knight of Neptune

He was glad that Pendour had asked about what to look for when it came to finding pieces of their codes. He knew that in the times he had visited his Wonder he had never found anything like it, but most definitely wanted to see where it was now.

And he was glad that Pendour held his hand. It was a gesture of friendship and it at least felt like he wasn't alone in all of this. Yes, there were quite a few Knights here, but he couldn't help but still feel as if they hadn't connected. Perhaps this event would be what triggered it.

"I'll make sure to message you once this is a bit behind us about meeting up." He said after the Code was done answering all of the questions.

Alphubel, Knight of Polaris

In the time that it had taken for the Code to tell them a bit of what was happening, Alphubel noticed another familiar Knight, this one the same type that he was, Polaris. He would go and talk to them later. Right now he needed to figure out where his code piece could possibly be located. He thought that he had already explored all that the observatory had to offer, but knowing that finding his ring had also been a bit of a puzzle, he wouldn't be surprised if there were more secrets it was hiding, including where to find the code piece.

He should be able to go to his Wonder this time which he was happy about. A thought went through is mind that perhaps he should take some food and other essentials and make sure to notify his brother that he may have been leaving for a few days. He had no idea how long it would take to find the piece.

---------------------------------------------------------

Drombeg, Knight of Earth

Before he could even ask what they should be looking for code-wise on their Wonders, others had already asked the same question and luckily the Code didn't feel snarky enough to give them a sarcastic reply. Drombeg couldn't help but be a bit excited at learning that he would be forced to explore his Wonder even more thoroughly than he had already. It meant that there were possibly other things within that he hadn't yet found that may help him or at least let him grow closer to his Wonder. All they had to do now was actually get to their Wonders, but with all of the trouble they were having, would they be able to do so?

Belmont, Squire of Jupiter
(Chatting with Connie, Pieria and Bifrost)

Oh, no. They had to find their Code piece? That wasn’t an ‘end of the world’ deal breaker or anything, but Belmont had done himself no favors by not knowing where his was hiding. He winced and bared his teeth in something of a grimace. “Oof,” he said under his breath, and then his expression shifted as he cupped his chin in his hand thoughtfully. With his free hand, he patted Connie’s back reassuringly.

Good thing Sessrumnir wasn’t close enough to hear him admit, “I have no idea where my Code piece is hiding. Half the time when I show up, my Wonder’s repaired some hallways and broken others. I’ve fallen through so many different floors, I’ve lost count.”

He flashed a smile when Bifrost returned, more so because he appreciated how encouraging she was to Connie. Connie’s enthusiasm made him feel more honest about his own and she just wouldn’t be her if she was anything shy of ‘a lot’.

“Do you know where your Code piece is? Any of you, I mean. I’m sure that’ll be enough to fix your plant, Connie.” He didn’t know if it was safe to guess that Pieria was the newest of them, even if she was still a page. He assumed Bifrost was the most experienced of them, with her rank and given that she’d also Transcended. “I can help you look if you want company. Or just want someone to have your back. I’d invite any of you to come back with me, but Jupiter’s got some nasty weather and we’re not always safe from the elements back at Belmont. Oh, and I mean. The floors aren’t always reliable. No bugs, though.”

That he’d seen.

Poe, Page of Mercury
    (Talking with Cynthus.)

Oh, how could he deny his daughter anything? She was perfect -- usually. When she wasn’t reminding him of her mother. But everything perfect about her easily outweighed the bad. She absolutely deserved praise for doing such a good deed for the world, and if the Code choose her, then, well, that was obviously because she was the right person for the role.

“I’m so proud if you. I can’t believe you’re growing up so fast,” Poe practically sniffled with emotion he was overcome with. “Good, as long as you’re not doing this for boys then that’s okay.”

He knew he was being a bit ridiculous about things like that, but he also knew how boys were, and he didn’t want his daughter to have her heart broken or feel like she couldn’t go to her dad for whatever she needed.

Poe made a face when Cynthus suggested that the man with the winged helmet was Chris. It made sense, he supposed. If Claire was involved in this magic, then that would make sense that her children were, too. She probably even told him that, but he was so overwhelmed that he didn’t know what to think.

“Are you going to stay and take care of your… Code thing?” he asked after a little while, nodding to let her know he understood. “I suppose I can try to figure out mine.” It sounded like a daunting task but he was up for the challenge.

Paradise, Squire of Cosmos
(Lost in thought. Standing with Sessrumnir and Palatine.)

Paradise was maybe unusually quiet as she listened to everything the Code had to say. There was a lot to take in, and part of it was her own fault for not spending more time at her Wonder. Part of that was because once Beau had retired, she would have rather spent time with him.

He was gone now, at least physically, but he would always have a place in her heart. And his advice was always at the front of her mind. He was a good man. Someone who saw good in the world when others might not. She knew that was why he ultimately died, but it also wasn’t as if she didn’t expect that every time he went off to sea.

She knew he would have been proud of their children, both born and adopted. She knew he would have continued to encourage them to all go to therapy, which she couldn’t help but giggle over because those who needed it the most would be hard pressed to find a therapist that would understand and be safe for them to open up to. Ah, it wasn’t actually very funny, but she could imagine the expression on Michael’s face.

Paradise knew that Beau had gone to his Wonder, had spoken to the ghost that was there. Maybe she would find the same at her Wonder. Maybe it would help ease some of the loneliness she felt, even when her family was kind to her. She would just have to visit and see.

Mamertine, Knight of Pluto
    (Speaking with Irkalla)

“Ah. I don’t thinK I heard about that one,” Mamertine mused. He’d read something in the papers about a Sleep Treatment place, and while it had certainly sounded suspicious, he hadn’t immediately assumed it had anything to do with magic. Should have guessed, though.

The Code’s instruction did not intimidate or disturb him, but he didn’t like to visit his Wonder.

Mamertine itself was a dreary, desolate place. A ghost town. Only, sometimes it felt like the ghosts were still in town.

“Maybe it won’t be so bad. If all it takes is a trip to our Wonders…”

He let the thought trail off and shrugged. “I suppose if you like your Wonder, that isn’t such a terrible thing.”

Mamertine didn’t know how to feel about his. It wasn’t particularly beautiful or welcoming, and there was such a strange, overbearing aura that it felt more like something was trying to chase him out rather than welcome him in.

“What's your Wonder like” he asked casually. He didn’t think all Wonders were made the same, but he hadn’t heard much about Pluto Wonders to know if that was just normal to feel out of place there. He'd heard even less about Cosmos Wonders.

Meninx, Squire of Mars
    (With Antisana and Maya)

Meninx nodded to Maya, grateful for her own introduction. She seemed more energetic than either he or Antisana but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. He was hardly an extrovert, unless he had to be, but having someone friendly–or loud–enough to get the ball rolling could be a huge asset.

Still, he raised his brow when she said she’d never even been to her Wonder. Had she never felt the calling? He’d been before–not often, but he felt like he’d practically been summoned to the spot.

He’d been tired at the time, he missed a lot of it. Most of it felt like a dream.

“I don’t get a lot of free time, especially not at night,” he said slowly. “I’ve been to Mars, but I don’t think I’ve found any sort of Code up at my Wonder.”

He really didn’t have much of a guide for how he should be doing anything, so meetings like this often made him feel like he was underperforming. He’d find it now that he knew it existed, of course. He just hadn’t known to look before.

He didn’t want to interrupt Antisana’s offer to Maya, but when there was a silence between the three he asked, “How did you know to look for the Code at your Wonder? Did you seek it out deliberately or did you just happen upon it?”

Selenga, Page of Ida

Selenga hummed a bit as he listened to Sonora's reply, staring at the Code without really seeing it, deep in thought as he was. This was all... so much. But he'd have to handle it somehow. At least he knew Kaifeng outside of... work? Knighthood? If he went around saying that, though, he'd sound insane.

"Maybe I ought to figure out how to glow," he mumbled, tapping his chin slightly. "As for my Code piece, I've only been to my Wonder twice so far. I need to look for it. But that feels like something private to do—both times I went, I went with someone. I hope I could handle going alone now, though. It just... doesn't feel right, asking for help in this particular instance."

[Lanting, Page of Ida]

"If it's unusual enough that all these Knight geges think it's weird," Lanting said, not even really thinking about whether his companion would understand that word, "we'll probably be totally fine." As long as nothing else strange happened. As long as Lanting wasn't really some kind of broken failure or sometihng.

"....I'm packing some extra food anyway, though." Because the idea of getting stuck up there again....no, Lanting did not want to repeat the experience. "and the Code seems to really want to help us find it!"

Maybe this was for the best. So many of the other Knights didn't know this big, important thing--so maybe Lanting also wasn't a total failure for not knowing.

"Hey, um. We don't have to go together now, it might be weird, but I'd really like to see your Wonder, sometime?" That totally seemed like the type of thing you might do with a magical friend. Which this other Page totally was, now. Lanting was determined.
