Richard Vin Malsule The Lancer of DVNTX Currently Wearing: Suit
Listening to the description of one of her team mates, Richard cocked a brow a bit. Eira Winter's....he could of swore he had heard the name somewhere before. Perhaps it was due to simply having attended a class with her sometime within his time here. Yet white hair and a white dress to go along with it. Considering everything here was basically orange, it would mean that she would stand out. Like the rock he found! Would be easy enough. For the other one, it didn't really help much. A faunus with an ethereal attire...that one was tricky. Mainly cause he was having a hard time trying to visualize it, let alone recall what exactly ethereal meant. Still...it was something to go on. Find a faunus, an unknown faunus that looked...ethereal. Probably not going to be able find that other student. As for Sasselia's final little comments, it would make him smile a bit. Something about the way she spoke was a bit charming. "What do you mean you messed up? I don't see it." He retorted a bit quickly before looking through the crowds of students. Jeez did they really have that many people here in the first place. It was loaded...wait were all these people even students to begin with? Guess it didn't matter what the answer was. Though a familiar set of faces showed themselves through the crowd. Narx and Danae were together of course. Both of them appeared to be happy for the most part. When Narx noticed him, Richard gave him a two fingered salute across the room, seeing that his other hand was currently occupied with Sasselia's hand. "Those two can never part can they?" He kinda questioned aloud, yet he did so with a smile.
Garret liked hearing his arrogance mirrored in Yui's words, words that would assure there could be no failing in their tasks. They would beat any and all who stood in their path to victory, no matter the odds or how many there were. They were both bound by their honor and their own beliefs to strive to be the greatest they could, and combined nothing could stop that. It was a welcome change to hear from her from how she was so short a time ago. Even upon hearing how he would need to take the lead and that she knew very little of dancing did not dissuade Garret's confidence in their ability or success. He couldn't ever believe so until the moment of defeat came, which he never intended to happen. It would seem, strangely, that she didn't do anything that didn't involve a weapon. Though he spent a good deal of his short youth in his familial home training with spears, and admittedly being very bad at it, there had been room for more than just combat. Even in his escape and travels there had been a lot of history as well as other matters unrelated to combat that he was taught and picked up. Still, it was not something he would question quite yet, and as Yui seemed to have a matter to attend to he would be given time to try and think it over, responding politely as to hearing of one of her tasks. "It is of no bother, please do so now before we begin. You'll find that dancing tends to take up most of ones attention. And afterwards, once we have danced and practiced, we can go and deliver it then if you desire?"
Seeing her then begin to inform whoever it was she needed to make her delivery to on her scroll, remembering the convenience of such a technology even though he himself would never use one, he began to think of how to teach her. 'There is the simple yet plain way of doing so that anyone could learn from, but if its true that she never learned of it due to her focus on combat...perhaps I may be able to show why she should know it?' He thought to himself. He liked making things less dull and dreary, adding his own spin to things in order to make them more interesting or worthwhile in pursuit. Everything was a manner of perspective, so if you were able to shift it to interest you, a person would be more likely to learn it. Garret smiled to himself as he began to get an idea of how to do just that, a way to tie it in to the narrow focus her life seemed to have been so far. A sudden thought struck of him of why he was making such an effort for her. He could easily do it the simple to grasp method, one which she may learn faster, and if not, he could correct her in a manner of discipline. He could even motivate her by trying to make her feel she is failing till she got it correctly, like most instructors. But something internal was telling him not to, that being creative about it would work far better. He sincerely had no clue where that feeling was coming from, but he trusted his instinct. It may not have always led him on the right path, but he had survived thus far while listening to it, so it must be something worth trying. Worst comes to worse, he could always switch to that strategy.
His plan was finished as Dove finished her own message to whoever she had the scroll of. Though in his mind, it would be better for the person to remain departed from the scroll and thus the dependence of technology. But he was only one of a few individuals who believed as such, and it was not his choice to make in that regard. Dove would determine the fate of the student and the scroll, as she was the one who discovered it. Hearing her apology, and that she was ready, Garret would smirk lightly as he spoke. "No need to apologize, I understand the importance of the message. Now as to where we begin...I need you to close my eyes, trust my words, and follow my movements." His smirk and arrogance would grow a little at the thought. He could completely abuse that trust if he felt like it honestly, but he had no desire to. It was his word, and he was not about to tarnish his honor or name for something such as that. He also legitimately wanted to teach her in this manner. Seeing her consent...Garret would step towards her, grasping her right hand with his left as his right hand went to her waist. "Now put your free hand on my shoulder, keep your feet parallel to one another, and let your mind create an image. Imagine being under the blazing sun of a desert, the ever shifting sand beneath your feet. The wind lightly blowing the sand down from the dune to which you stood. Now imagine that you are in combat with someone of equal might, capability, and equipment atop this dune. Both of you locked in a battle for survival." He would begin to say, letting her own mind fill in the other details for a moment as he gave her some time. Then, feeling enough had passed as he too imagined himself in that scenario, feeling the familiar sand and heat of the desert once again despite all the years it had been. Eyes opening on his end to watch his own movements and their closeness, he would speak more forcefully now. "Now, no matter what, do not move your hands. Imagine, as I step forward with my right foot that it is me striking at you with a spear. Take a step back as my hand presses against your waist to move just out of its range and bring up your shield. Keep your right foot anchored to the ground so my attack does not put you off balance." As he finished speaking, he would take a moment before beginning to step forward and having his hand increase in pressure against Yui to help push her back just enough. This being a simple step with his guidance, he would ensure she did so correctly before he would speak again. "Now, prepare for your counter attack. Step in place with your right foot, and prepare to push my spear away." Garret himself would also mimic the movement, making his louder than necessary so she understood that he too did it. Salsa was a three step dance, and so he would take the lead to do the final step. "Now step forward with your left foot to push back my spear and take your original position, with both feet next to one another." He would finish, almost sounding like an instructor teaching her the basics of combat at the end of it. He would keep his movements and motions at the pace of hers to ensure she understood. Salsa was not a complex dance, it was all about finding the three rhythm beat and moving to it. However, learning the movements did take time. "Now open your eyes, and gaze at your opponent. So long as I lead, you are on the defense. Salsa is a dance of two combatants, one attacker and one defender. The roles may switch as one takes the lead from another, but so long as I am the attacker the basic moves remain the same. For each of my movements to you, you move back. For each of your movements to me, I move back. While the dances has more to it, it always comprises of three steps." Garret would speak, his arrogant tone completely gone momentarily as he took on the role of instructor and explained it, instead sounding relatively calm. He would pause before speaking again. "Keep that situation in mind, and let us try it again. This time, I will not say what to do. Just imagine the scenario of the defender: step back, step in place, step forward." With that said, Garret would go at it again, making sure to go slow as he did. He would repeat it with her till Yui could grasp it at a fast rate, having increased the speed of it with each successive repeat. ✘ Post count: 44 ✘Semblance timer: 0/5 ✘ Recharge: 0/5 ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

XXX... What an odd sensation. Glazed iridescent hues would gaze upwards as the wolfman approached, his mass towering over hers. To think so much time had passed, that so much had changed. It was hard to believe that there was once a time when Maria was the pinnacle of strength for their team. Fearless, merciless, something to aspire towards.. Something to respect. Unlike her, they never stopped growing. The two she held so dear, who she led the way for and trained with every passing day, had left her behind. As each day ticked by, Maria would be ever so slightly weaker. A fading presence, a soul that barely lingered in a husk that wanted so desperately to let go, to pass on. Despite a presence that seemed to radiate strength, his words would fall to pieces just as the tears fell from the corners of his eyes. A voice that was broken, pained and full of regret. Words that were begging for forgiveness, all while he began to fall to pieces. To think that the cat and dog were so much alike. When faced with the reality of one that the world left behind, it could strike at their very core. Expose the one weakness they had, the very one that they shared. Somber hues would continue to stare forward, his broken words clawing so desperately at her heart. Did she want to hear it? Did she want an excuse? Could anything he say truly makeup for leaving them that day, for the years of isolation? .. Kenna had her reasons, something that she accepted. Feralis... What did he have?
""Ev...every...one... l...left..."
Pools of iridescent would descend to look at the man that cried so intensely, something that Maria never thought that she would see. Pride was something that they all held onto so tightly, its what drove their team to such success ... Something that she had to leave behind so long ago. Now here he was, just as broken as she was, as broken as they all were... Looking back at those days, as everything fell to pieces. One by one, everyone had faded to become but a distant memory. Feralis was the first to go, to leave in a fit of rage after she failed to separate them. An apathetic gaze that watched him leave the door, not even looking back at them, at her. Another came to left, one that hurt just as well, but they had their reasons to move on. They might come back, they might visit, but they couldn't put their lives on hold for her. She respected it, because she would've honestly done the same. Then Kenna... Maria had long anticipated it, but that didn't make it hurt any less, no matter what she tried. Numbing herself, ignoring reality and telling her to go away. That maybe if she broke their ties, it wouldn't hurt either of them as much... That they would be able to move on. What a lie that was. Then all the others she knew ticked away in time, not that they really mattered. Even when Maria was in the spotlight, feeding off the attention and striving to impress, there were very few in this world that mattered to her... Two that when they left, they took what little pieces of her remained. It hurt, she cried, she felt abandoned in this world that didn't want her anymore. She cursed a cruel fate, feeling that she would never again be whole. Not without them. It was for that very same reason that she didn't have it in herself to hold it against him, against them. So slowly, her fingers reached to tap two buttons before causing her chair to jerk forward. It wasn't at all an elegant motion, it was abrupt and uncontrolled. A movement that forced her body forward away from the chair, her own frail frame falling against his. He would have only a moment to secure her, to capture her before she fell like the very day she left. ... If he was there for her, if he was willing to support her, her arms would so weakly struggle to wrap around him. Her body was trembling as she tried so desperately to embrace him, just as she did for Kenna... Even though she didn't have the strength to speak the words as she did for her, what could she really say?
'I never thought I'd see them cry... That even like this, I can try to give them strength.."
These two were truly something amazing in her eyes. To think that each passing day as she continued to dwindle, these two were growing stronger. Kenna had faced so many odds and ends, a body branded with scars as a reminder of all that she endured on her own, how much she had grown. Then Feralis, Maria didn't know where to begin with him, she didn't know what happened to him. All that she could manage to piece together was that he now towered over her, a presence all the stronger than her own once was. What had he done in all this time, what had he endured? The wolf hadn't known of the darkness that chased his once two teammates, the same darkness that drove Kenna away into hiding. What was his story? Surely it was one better than her own. The two of them had so much ahead of them, they had grown so much and continued to do so. All while Maria continued to wither away, a limited amount of time that one may surely be able to count on her fingertips ... Especially if she continued to push herself. She had learned a lot in these years of isolation, as her body continued to degrade with each passing day. She knew that her time was limited, so... She had to make the best of it all, and now... With them, she could.
'To think I've been graced to have them back in my lives... No matter how much it hurt, how much pain it caused me... I can't help but cherish them, as flawed as they are .. as flawed as I am. My life is far too short to not cherish every moment I can with them... But what will happen when I'm the one that leaves them behind?'

☆☽Miya Tsukiko Tora☾☆ ☆═━If you don’t enter the tiger’s den, how can you catch the tiger’s cub?━═☆
As icy-blue eyes met challengingly with electric blue ones, tension could be felt until their outbursts began. Growing ever still as the shark faunus seemed to be in some sort of stunned flashback or something. Tsuki was more than ready for a barrage of brisk and unclean words from the giantess; it was one of the things she begrudgingly admired about Rachel. She was not afraid of the giantess, nor would she be intimidated. Despite the intimidation tactic, the tiger faunus stubbornly stood her ground; either because of her boiling agitation or sheer disregard for the woman's fear attempts. It was only when the shark faunus began to open her loud mouth that she felt her anger grow.
"Again with this Hood person?!"She growled."No, I'm not! Quit comparing me to someone from the past! They aren't here anymore and I'm not them,"She snapped at Rachel. One could not get stuck in the past...it makes them unable to move towards the future. Oh, how she grated on the tigress's nerves! She did feel hurt, but the feeling was shadowed by an urge she had not felt in a long time...and that concerned her. Meeting the woman's eyes, she internally cursed. She needed to cool down, and she couldn't do it here."You know what? Fine. Just, quit following me,"She said curtly before turning and walking away once more."Stupid Rachel! Gah!"She growled, tail swaying swiftly as she made her way out of the ball.
Out Of Candles!: Posts Count: 16 Profile Location: Autumn Ball/Exiting. Outfit/Equipped:dresshairstyle Semblance Activation/Rest:
Feralis was nearly lost in his own grief and guilt for his reunion with Maria. He had never expected to truly see anyone again, her most of all. If he had seen kendall alone he would not have felt such strong emotions, their relation was tenuous at best even if he had felt she deserved an apology. He had long since hardened himself to her ways, and didn't get into any of that mushy talk so many people did with friends. In truth, while he was always open of his emotions he never showed anyone how he was on the inside. He never told anyone save this team even the briefest of his past, and none of them truly knew it. Not even Maria. He had long since learned to leave the past where it lay, he wanted no pity for it. But...despite that mentality, Maria was the one fragment in his past he could never completely get over or forget, no matter how much he tried. Mostly because he didn't leave voluntarily, didn't get to say goodbye...seeing her and his own mistake all those years ago felt as painful as the day he regained human form and tried looking for them. He wanted to let her know what happened, wanted to give her a reason...despite him feeling like it was only an excuse and she didn't deserve to hear one of those, that what happened could not make up for all those years.
So was his guilt he almost didn't notice a sudden lurch as he felt her shadow over him growing. Looking up instinctively, his reflexes still surprisingly alright, his arms would instinctively reach out and grab her to prevent her from falling as his eyes would look confusedly at her behind the wetness of his tears. He would feel her trembling intensely, her arms weakly wrapping around him yet the effort clearly very difficult. 'She feels so weak...Can she not even...How much has she weakened in this time...' Feralis wondered to himself. Where once her hug or grip could be felt immense strength and muscle, he could only feel the shaking of extreme effort, the weakness of her muscles apparent. Seeing her in the wheelchair, he had forgotten her arms were the first thing to weaken of her entire body...and only now truly feeling what five years had done to her. Where he had grown stronger in his life with wolves...time had only taken away from her. He almost felt more tears in his eyes as he felt the warmth meant by her hug, that she would do so in such a weak state...that without saying any words, she forgave him. But he resisted...thinking to all the berating Kendall would give him, thinking to why she would even do such a thing. 'As Kendall would say, I seem weak. Maria did this to...comfort me...' He realized to himself. She was putting herself through such strain for him...because he had been crying. He didn't want her to suffer as such. His own arms would tighten their grip around her, transitioning into a hug with all the strength he could muster.
He needed to be strong for her, hell he would have been whipped in the earlier years by Rachel for breaking down like this. Resolving his mind as he felt the need for tears slowly fade, he would keep hugging maria tightly to him before speaking softly, knowing he should at least say why he had been gone. "I'm sorry...the day I stormed out...I transformed...I didn't shift back for a full year. And when I did and went back to beacon, everyone was gone. I couldn't find any of you...No matter how much I tried. All your scents had faded." Feralis would say, keeping his voice from breaking or cracking as he forced the words out, resisting the urge to fall to the weakness of grief again a she had before. He couldn't be so weak, not in front of her or kendall, not again. He let out a slightly dark chuckle. "Hardly a good reason, I know. But...I'm here now. And I don't plan to leave again." He would squeeze her tightly once more before, while still holding her, rising slowly to a standing height. 'She feels so much like dead weight... No, I can't think of her like that. To be here, after all this...she is stronger than anyone else still, at least in spirit.' Feralis realized and reasoned to himself. He would not let himself think of her as weak and frail. None of them could ever stand for that in the past, nor for pity. It was not like predators to do so. Feralis would then take a step forward to place her back...but stopped midway. Looking at the giant robot by her, then at kendall, and finally at the wheelchair...
His gaze would solidly travel back to the irritable cat he knew to be Kendall. He didn't want to ask this of her, but he knew he couldn't do it himself as much as that alone irked him. She felt too weak for him to even attempt it, and he did not want her to feel worse by failing at his idea. Barely restraining a growl as he bared his teeth at the cat...he exhaled sharply before speaking in a begrudging tone. "I need your....help, feline." He would begin, pausing as he would begin the process already, not even sure if she would say yes. He would lower her down till her feet touched the ground, and move most of his hold of her to his left side. "I don't know about you, but i'm not letting her spend the rest of the night caged to that wheelchair. She is going to stand with us for as long as we can manage, but as much as I hate to say it, I can't do it myself. We can tear each other to shreds after, but until then will you...please...get her other shoulder and help me?" Feralis would ask, his tone so begrudging he almost wanted to eat the words rather than have them be heard by the mangy cat, especially at saying please where the displeasure and disgusting taste of the word almost made him stop his question. While he despised the cat, she was here with maria which was more than he thought she was capable. He fully expected for them to tear each other to shreds at some point tonight, but for maria, he wanted to at least do this one act before. And he still had to make that apology, not matter how much he would prefer shoving the cat out into the water of the stream outside. He would look up to her with a less than friendly look, but not as aggressive as he usually was with her.

§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ SasseliaArgenia TEAM: ACER SEMBLANCE:not activated ------------ Sasselia was observing the crowds while Richard was processing what she had said into his own thoughts. Little was known about either team member so it was as far as she could go. She did remember a small factor, snapping her fingers from her free hand. "oh! Eira used to be on another team as well before mine. Very positive to be around... If that helps a little better." Since she had never met Koryn quite yet the perhaps a faunus /perhaps a human was still an utter mystery. If only she could take a double glance to the dress again! How shameful of a captain to still take so long into learning about their mystery members! Of course they would be a mystery if they have never met. If the dress itself was perhaps her wings it would have been an interesting factor. Their hustle and bustle through the crowds showed the faunus/human ratio all around the ball altogether. The many different characteristics from horns, to ears and tails, to even claws and the odd wing here and there.. It all added color and culture beyond any other particular place. It made their search harder, but enjoying Richard in her presence made this search worthwhile.
Her demeanor remained unfazed until she was both amazed but quizzical by the compliment and reassurance. She was properly speaking afterall? She did alright?Sound the alarm! Sasselia did something right! The very thought brought a reddened complexion to her face from the sheer relief. His little smile about it made the butterflies in her stomach flutter more. Focus!! The attention shot back towards the ball itself. This was not the time to be a bashful maiden! It was difficult not to be as such. Considering the balls main intentions were indeed crystal clear by the scenery built and the growing number of couples gathering, every one that came stag would ten to one perhaps manage to get a date or such halfway. Speaking of couples though.... "Hm?? Which two did he speak of? Following his gaze she noticed his people of interest. A male and female around their age. One with an eyepath that seemed human with a female whose lovely feathered features brought out the obvious bird faunus in her. Watching their interaction a large smile crossed her lips. Their adoration could be felt from where they were standing, to most likely anyone who was really paying attention. The couple also stood together beautifully. They both possessed the unique physical quirks (eyepatch and feathers) they made them stand out so well, but also made so much sense. "They look like a very lovely couple. I can feel the warmth of their feelings from here as if they are the only two in the room. Are they always as such with one another?? So loving and warm in their presences? Are you usually as happy as them as well?" Her questions were dripping with sincerity and interest, hoping as well to get some ideas on how one should treat teammates.

The Insect Faunus had spaced out a little, missing a fair amount, trying think of remarks or even complements towards Lunia and Charlotte. Though what snapped her out of this deep thought was Ora bolting to find Felix. Which made Lena embarrassed because she didn’t even notice that he had slinked off. With things still a little awkward between her and Ora, Lena would stay with Jazz. "She's protective of brother is all." Trying to down play the fact Ora bolted. "Former team and new team meet... not awkward at all." Unfolding her fan before collapsing it once more. "So... are you guys liking the dance?" When she relooked at Jazz's former team it all clicked. She had seen them before in the courtyard fight. "Lunia! Long time, but he's been in a coma." Shrugging at the end of her comment. "It’s been more he's taking care of us. Lot of issues and such."

Ren slowly began to wake up after being out for a small while. "Hey, wha' happened?" He asked groggily, he felt hurt, one of his sides hurt because of being constantly held as his head felt like it got dinged on the table. He could hear some yelling nearby and before he knew it, he was facing the ground and eeped as he hanged onto the arm that held him, more skin-contact meant more exposion and it was rightfully so as his shirt had been lifted slightly due to friction of being jostled and carried so roughly that his bare abdomen was against the scaly flesh of Rachel. "Wh-Where am I?!" He had no clue as to what happen, except that someone seemed upset. "D-Did I do something wrong?"

Danaë would look Narx in his yellow eye, with his bright orange eyes. Something didn't seem right about the pills. If that were the case, why wasn't she on the same pill as him? Then again, she seemed to be the only one on the team that was actually recovering from their Amnesia. She would keep quiet about it tonight, there were too many people here, too many prying eyes, and for some reason, she knew that it would be painful to activate her semblence in here. Maybe the experience was locked in her head.
She would take his hand and smile, almost giggling at the fact that he was cold. Normally it was the woman that got cold, needing the man's jacket, but she was pretty insulated due to the massive amounts of heat absorbing feathers on her body. He would lead her inside, and she would lean up against his arm, trying to help him warm up. Cuddling would be easier, but they weren't in their room. If he was still cold, she would make sure that he would be nice and warm tonight.
She would then start to lead him towards her brother. She couldn't miss those big black wings in a sea of normally sized people. Though she noticed that she was the only avian faunus without wings. There were two with beautiful white winged faunus in the room. One was the head master, the seemed to be a student like herself. She always wondered what it would feel like to have wings, and to be able to fly. She however, was doomed to stay on the ground.

"I'll make you all proud of me one day.."

Lunia watched as Jazz gestured to an empty space beside him, indicating that his teammate wasn't there. She looked a little confused but let out a melodic chuckle, as she found it pretty funny. "I'm sure Felix will join us again soon, it would be nice to meet someone new, right Charlotte?" she said, giving Charlotte a look that she most likely wouldn't understand, it was quite a suggestive, mischievous look, not something that Lunia did too often.
Lunia smiled up at Jazz brightly, before she then heard what Charlotte had to say about Lena's dress, making her instantly turn to her and begin to cough, in shock. "Charlotte!" she said, taking her by the hand, giving her a look that definitely showed her it wasn't right. Lunia did look over at Lena, and to be fair, the dress was rather on the short side, however she just sometimes couldn't help but say how she felt. "What she means is.." Lunia said, scrambling for something in her head to try and alleviate this awkward situation as she looked at Lena and chuckled sheepishly. "Sometimes it's nice to show a little bit of leg you know.. or a lot!" she said, blushing as she looked at Jazz, 'help' in her eyes.
She watched as Ora walked away to find Felix, and could see her now speaking to who must have been him. Lunia was a little concerned, she didn't want her to feel awkward, did her and Charlotte know eachother? "Is she okay?" she asked, looking between Jazz and Lena. Lunia reached out her pinky finger, and took Jazz's pinky in hers so they were loosely wrapped with each other, showing a bit of affection towards him, her stomach was still in butterflies, she was so glad Jazz could make it.

Eira's blue eyes sparkled as they took in the dance of colors on Koryn's wings as they fluttered about in the other girl's excitement. It was very apparent that Eira was rather taken with how pretty they were. It might take a while to get used to that but eventually she should recover fully. She would at the very least not end up attracted to them all the time like an old raven fond of anything that glints in the sunlight. Either way Eira wouldn't be stealing Koryn away and adding her to a stash of shiny objects in a nest somewhere. "A question, sure go ahead..." The white haired girl said when Koryn replied to her. As expected it was about her wings. "Well my wings don't really let me fly. At best they seem to be able to let me hang for a short while... They release feathers too. As for where they are, they only show up when my semblance is active. See." Eira turned her head to look over her shoulder. As the word 'see' was uttered she activated her semblance. The power of her aura pulsed and coursed through her body. A moment after the word faded into the dull chatter of the other students around her a golden glow began to spread from Eira's back. The glow of golden light formed thin membranes of light which gradually spread out and danced behind her as a many winglet like panels were formed. They all grouped together to form wings that reached up high over her head and down behind her legs. Depending on how the panels of light arranged themselves the wings danced between looking like a birds as if she were an angel or like a butterflies. Either way Eira arranged the energy they looked like transparent wings bearing glowing gold spots to pattern them which seemed oddly fitting when arranged in the shape that matched Koryn's own wings.
Eira turned her head back to watch Koryn's reaction. Letting the wings linger for a handful of seconds before the light would vanish like a switch had been flipped on a lamp. She continued on to address the others surprise at the height of children she had specified. "Yep. They are children after all. Most faunus, and all humans bear young that are immature physically. A babe is very tiny!" She held up her arms before her chest as if she were cradling an infant. "As we mature we grow. Isn't it like that with you?" Eira took the chance to ask the question that had been lingering in her mind earlier since the conversation seemed prime to pose it now. As for the tribes she mentioned Eira just waved her hand. "I don't think I can remember the exact tribe name, but I don't see how anyone could mistake you for a moth. Most moths don't have such vibrant wings, right."
Equally surprising was that Koryn wasn't familiar with a team. "You don't know about that either? ... You have worked with others before to achieve goals. That would be a team. It means we are partners in a basic sense." She explained.

Remus gave Ella a short grin in response to her thanking him for getting her chair for her. She also tagged along with him to give Henryk a bit of a hard time in regards to getting them to spill all their secrets. What came up as the perfect gift to bribe Ella into doing something was unsurprisingly a book. Perhaps he should look into what the title of that book was later. While he may not be able to get it for her in time to trade the gift off for his own book when Ella finished reading it he could still give her a book more or less whenever. As a gift it would be warmly received by Ella in a similar fashion to how Chloris took to that basket of natural bounties. Remus turned his head back to Henryk as he responded to their joking. Henryk chose to pick out Remus's comment for response. Their leader implied that he had spotted some coffee beans inside the the venue that he could use. Remus chuckled softly. "I am not sure if those would be the highest quality though." He said skeptically. After all if selling off his deep, dark secrets he would have to sell it for a high price.
At that moment a music sound drifted across the table. Remus changed to focus his attention onto the source of the chuckle. As his gaze settled upon Chloris she spoke up. Remus smiled and nodded his head at her. "Agreed. Our coming together seems like it will prove to be a very good thing. At the very least I can foresee every regretting it."
As the subject of the dance continued it seemed that everyone professed a level of skill that was below par. Ella had only danced to the extent that could be achieved while sitting and enjoyed the tunes coming from a headset. According to Henryk Chloris knew some, but only local dances. Chloris filled in some more details about that to their captain. Evidently they were festival dances that she could teach him. the situation seemed grim as Remus could picture that the unique dancing that Henryk mentioned would fit any better to the venue. Though he did have a point. Remus placed his elbows on the table and leaned forward as he spoke. "So basically what he means to say is we won't be the only ones making a fool of ourselves out there. Because he is likely correct the plenty of other students don't know or have much experience with dancing. What is different between us and them is they will probably avoid the dance floor like it is the plague. Plus those that do know what they are doing will make those that don't all the more noticeable. Either way it all relies on you Chloris. Make sure you keep our esteemed leader close and dance your dances. If he gets away from you his unique performance may steal the spot light from the good dancers and draw it's attention, and all the students, unto ourselves."
Remus wasn't fully convinced that that would be the case. It was a possibility. But nothing more than that. It all depended on how much everyone wanted to cut loose tonight. Wrapping up Remus sat back again and polished off his drink. He set the glass down on their table and looked over to Ella. "I wouldn't call having a partner as pretty as you tragic by any stretch. Beside, you might come out the other end with a little more skill than you went in with. Think of it like reading a book. A big, real life, more hands on book..." Remus paused and he frowned a little as he pondered that. Eventually he added, "That probably makes no sense. Either way we are aiming to have fun so no need to stress I suppose."
__They rate me at (13) Level 0. ______My aura is.. inactive, and my semblance is.. down. ______I fight with teamDECO. ________My status is.. content ___I am at.. Beacon Ball_______Currently I'm in the company of.. Yennefer?, Calista, and Eli
___ Before Yenna joined them the group reached the end game for their earlier conversations. Cali seemed to not understand the reason why they couldn't bring Eli along with them if they they all went out for a girls night. Mean while a quick glance to Eli and the expression he had was very telling. He understood it perfectly, and more over he was clearly rooting for this outcome. Eli spoke up about him finding something to occupy himself with. Only after a bit of theatrics of course. So typical of him. Nox giggled softly and pinned onto the end of his assurances. "See Cali. He will be fine for a night here and there. We can do so much too. I'm sure Yenna would have ideas too when the time comes." In regard to hot spring visit they both seemed to be sold whole heatedly on the matter after how Nox had described it. Though to be honest it might not be that glorious for them, but it is still lovely. Nox didn't add any more to that discussion verbally. Rather her focus was mental. Outlining the schools projected agenda. The schedule had classes to follow tonight but there was free time around the holidays. What better time to visit the springs than during those cold days of the winter holidays. Her planning for that occupied her mind as she ate a few of the treats arranged on the table.
___ With Yenna's arrival Nox had asked if she was alright. Yenna hesitated. Nox tilted her head picking up on a small amount of pain in that delay. What's more her response to the question was contradictory. The nod of her head saying yes while her feeble voice denied it. "Really?" She asked the rabbit before her softly. Her voice was tinged with concern and doubt in her answer. It seemed that even that small amount of probing concern was enough to break the dam on the girls emotions. Yenna explained what was bothering her. Nox wasn't sure how to proceed from there though. Luckily another on their team stepped up to help her out. When Nox saw Cali step into view from the left and settle herself beside Yenna she was legitimately surprised. Even more so when Cali reached out and actually put her hand onto Yenna's shoulder comfortingly. Nox's head shot around to the left to stare at Eli. Her wide eyes screaming at the boy "ARE YOU SEEING THIS!" She was rather proud of Cali. Probably not as much as Eli was, but proud none the less.
___ Nox moved up to Yenna's other side. "No matter what we all don't want to be away from you. It's better when we are all around. After all who would I curl up with for warmth when it gets cold if you weren't around Yenna? Those two hog up their whole bed." Nox gestured at Cali and Eli with her thumb trying to add a little humor to a serious message to cheer up her partner. "Either way you will always have us to watch your back and stand by your side. So don't go thinking that you aren't wanted, you have friends in us." She said. She excluded any praise towards having a small stature. Being small can be a good thing. It makes one fast, makes it easier to take advantage of the large and of course to get around and hide. Nox sort of looked forward to the day she would be able to find a hiding spot for Yenna to make use of and then camouflage it up for an epic ambush. These were all truths, but their little crusading bunny didn't seem to be in the right mind frame to view them as positives right now. So they stayed in Nox's head.
___ Cali had offered up her heels and some of her dresses to Yenna. This love of fashion she had might of been partially responsible for this surprising confidence she displayed just now. Unfortunately what she said when she showed Nox her gloves while they were talking about having a dance was displaying itself across all her clothing now. What was more unfortunate though was that Cali could turn her powers onto words and have them just fade away. Some words like those that Yenna had been hearing earlier would be better off if they could be after all. Cali was starting to panic a little but she repressed to to help tend to Yenna. Eli was right there to help guide things to a positive conclusion. He collected the other girls and started to take them to the changing room he had arranged for. Nox followed a step behind him. "Are you implying I am a mouse?" She stated at Eli's back in a voice she tempered into sounding displeased. If she recalled that story right the carriage was a pumpkin, the driver and horses pulling it were all mice though originally. If he wasn't joking around the snake probably would be acting out displeasure at being implied to be such prey, but for now it was all in good humor. When they arrived Nox peered at all the dresses Eli had mentioned before. "Eli... Just how are you not bankrupt?" She asked in bewilderment at the huge assortment of clothing hanging in the closet turned dressing room for their team. Come to think of it, this was a good question. Cali kills off all her clothing, so how do they afford to constantly replace it?

Narx tilted his head sideways like a puppy at her expression before she took his hand and produced a giggle that would make his heart skip a beat."Thanks." he said as she snuggled up to him. He smiled back brightly just before she pulled him along towards Asger. Narx was curious how Asger was doing. This had to be his first big social event. Hopefully he was making some new friends."You think Asger is enjoying this sort of thing?"He asked wondering if this was his sort of scene."What is that..."He head jerked to the side as they passed the headmaster talking to some scantily dressed girl. A teacher? No. Must be a student. Too young. There seemed to be several females around that area."I think the headmaster might be a bit of a perv..."Narx said aloud. He hadn't really talked to the headmaster ever, but he didn't make a good impression on him. He straightened up stiffly as the headmaster's eyes passed by their direction in a sly manner. He wouldn't speak again until they were clearly out of hearing range."Well, maybe he isn't but he is surrounded by women whenever I see him."He shrugged continued on."Sorry I am so easily distracted! Its crazy being around so many people. I could just watch them for hours. Its nice to know the school is so big. We got a whole army just at the school right now. Makes me feel safer everyday knowing that all of us are becoming more skilled at combat to fight the Grimm and The Tribe."Just saying 'The Tribe' left a bitter taste in his mouth. Eventually he would eradicate that group. Someday. He shook it out of his mind and cheerily approached Asger, but awaited for Danaë to say hi first.

XXXAs the two parted, it became all the easier and more possible to actually type an array of text to inform this "Maria Sinclair" of her presence. As she typed away attentively, her pale blue hues would dart towards Garret on occasion, displaying remarkable accuracy in her keystrokes despite her divided focus. "That sounds like an excellent course of action. If they arrive before we finish, then they can be onlookers to our performance. ... Unless they too decide to challenge us." The woman's tone was always one between moods. While the statement itself sounded to be one arrogant in nature, the tone was utmost serious.
It appeared that Garret was ready to begin the moment the scrolls had been slipped away. How fortunate she was to have such an understanding escort for the evening, especially after all the complexity she displayed earlier. Her head began to bob in a nod as he begun his instruction, only for blue orbs would narrow as a sense of suspicion rose. As two combatants, closing one's eyes and putting their faith in them was a most dangerous gamble, something that Yui would in most cases avoid. However, narrow pale blue pools would gaze into a softly shimmering gold much like the polished amber jewelry she once saw on Lafalle's mantle. The reflection of light of the ballroom fixtures danced between the two without the faintest sense of ill intent in such a gaze. Narrow eyes would begin to ease, before falling shut at his request. Garret had already proven time and time again that he was a trustworthy individual, something that Yui was willing to gamble on. "If that is the best course of action, then I'll place my trust in your capable hands." With her words, a soft breath would escape her lips. Muscles would ease as tension escaped her body, leaving her limbs loose and ready to follow Garret's instruction to the T. In a world of black where she stood alone, a hand would appear as her right was taken ahold, another on her waist. Following his instruction, her left hand would rise as delicate fingers traced up his chest, acting as guidance until those same fingers rested listlessly atop his shoulder. To his words, she'd inhale deeply once more. In through the nose, out through the mouth. As the breath was held in her lungs, the sound of jazz would begin to dull and fade to silence. All she could hear was his voice, so crisp and clear with words that began to paint a most vivid landscape in her world. As the air left her lungs in a silent exhale, the darkness would be cast away by an illustrious burst of light accompanied by a wave of heat from a most blazing sun. The sky would flood with a shade of blue that matched her own eyes while the earth beneath her feet would blow into cascading dunes from the desert breeze. Before her appeared a man, the same that fueled her imagination with such vivid details. It was he that held her in place, though his mental figure would separate from her and bring up his spear. In the outer realm, her hands were still occupied by his own, but in her realm, they would stand off against one another as combatants. "... You must be describing Vacuo. I do wonder if my mental creation comes close to mirroring the real thing.." Not a tone of arrogance or serious nature, but one of genuine curiosity... The girl had a powerful imagination, the ability to create a most detailed scenery only to warp the reality of it.
Now though, the true lesson was about to begin. The tone of his voice had changed, though her eyelids wouldn't so much as tremble. Yui was locked in her mental world, relying solely on his voice to press forward in the task at hand. In her reality, as he said, it was a battle for survival. Each word held such an important, and she had no intention of missing a step. Following his words, there would be a brief pause before she felt a pressure against her waist; that was her cue. Her outer world hands remained steady, her left foot stepping back while his right took its place. In her eyes, a spear would come so close to her side, only narrowly escaped the bladed tip as her iconic embers of an azure hue ignited to form a shield she'd raise to her side. Her right foot stayed anchored in her defensive, continuing to follow his words and listening for his oddly echoing step as it sunk into the sand, allowing her to mimic the same motion as she prepared her counter. Continuing to listen, she would hesitate for but a moment as she pushed her mental shield forward, though in reality it was her left foot moving forward to take back its position next to her right once more. The motions seemed so simple, a flow that came naturally in terms of defensive combat. Defend, prepare, then counter. A course of actions that were second nature when playing an active defensive role, going with the motions until it was time to push and strike. A parry. Her movements were not so smooth, acting in a reality that had to impact on the world around her. To his instruction, eyelids would open slowly as pale hues once again locked with eyes of gold.
As her imagination was so overreactive, a sense of hyperreality would take place once again. Though her eyes were open, staring into those of Garret's, they still stood among the breezy desert dunes. In her mind, there was no jazz, but a fiery beat that acted in rhythm with their 'combat.' His words were that of an instructor, a tone that matched a majority of her childhood and in turn was one she learned to recognize the authority of. Thus, this improved lesson would be taken far more seriously than it was likely intended. As such, her words were limited to only acknowledgment. "Understood." It was another side of Yui once more, a serious tone with a look of determination. These steps would be repeated over and over again, until it was done in perfect unison with his own, at a speed that would mesmerize all that watched. Perfection was the way of the Lioncourt in each statement, in each movement. Anything less would be considered disgraceful and must be repeated until the motion was etched into their being. Among the desert dunes with her left hand resting on his shoulder, her right hand in his grasp, their sequence would begin once again. Pressure on her hip indicated a striking spear, to his step forward was her step back. Her right foot would step in place, holding her ground as the spear collided with her shield. To his step back was her step forward, the counter-attack began with her shield forcing away his spear as her left foot reclaimed its lost position beside her right. A sequence of three steps that would be repeated over and over. Though sluggish at first, each step would begin to pick up the pace with her partner, each set becoming more smoother and natural. However, what Garret may not have anticipated was Yui's dedication. Not a word was spoken, but her eyes remained locked on his through each sequence. Even as the steps neared perfection, she showed no intention of stopping. For her, practice under instruction did not end until the instructor was ready to move on. So until then, each motion would be repeated. If he wasn't careful, they may be at this three-step pattern for the rest of the night.
