Giulia ( Rapunzel)
She would have to tell him about the Lurchies later, and the little pills that made the watery, itchy eyes go away and the sneezy stop. But it seemed that would have to be much later, or as they tried to get out the door. Her hand stayed tight to his own, trying not to tremble- she was going to be okay, it was probably just- Maybe a tree had fallen? But then they got to the door, and her voice rose in a shrill, childish shriek of terror.
There was webbing! EW! And webbing meant- spiders! And for there to be this much meant that there must be a lot of them! Or really big ones, like the one in the Hobbit book! And Giulia was about the right size to be a hobbit, but she didn't want to be eaten! She fought the webbing, screeching as she went. "Farmer Nat!" she wailed, "Help me!"
She couldn't get out alone, probably. The webbing clung to her Rapunzel dress, and petals from the flowers ticked into her hair were left behind once she got loose.

Jada (Mother Gothel) - metal stake
She couldn't see Giulia, but she shoved her way through the webbing, clawing at the webbing, frenzied with worry. There was screaming, and terror, and Giulia was only a child, damn it all. As she got past it, she took a moment to try and consider the area, where Christa and Genevieve had gone, if there was anyone else she recognized. Or if there were some nifty metal stakes she could grab and use to brain the enemies, since her henshin pen was inaccessible for the moment.
Jada reached out with a hand, jerking the implement up, gripping it. She didn't really use weapons, but damned if she wouldn't give it a try.
"Giulia!" she called again. Wasn't Yvaine supposed to be here- good lord, let the other woman think to keep an eye out for a free-wandering 7-year-old.

Tobias Liebel - STAKE Tobias kept one hand on Evan’s head, trying to provide some level of comfort by trailing his fingers through the younger male’s hair, all while letting his horror video game strategies take over his instincts. When his eyes landed on a crate full of…well. Something shiny and vaguely weapon-ish. He darted over towards the box and scooped up two of the objects, holding one out to Evan. “Here. We might need them, and I can only do so much to protect your back and my own, I know you’re afraid, but we can be afraid after. We can be afraid when we get home…but right now, I need you to help me help us. I need you, Evan. I know you’re terrified, but I will not let anything hurt you.”
His words were strong as he continued to tear through the revolting, sticky webbing. <******** spiders.

Lavender BurninghamHad the situation been different, Lavender might have enjoyed seeing how far Virell would try and stretch how much he really knew, pretending to play dumb…it might have been funny. But had this been a different situation, she wouldn’t have been talking to Rhona to begin with so…that was something. And she really wouldn’t have grabbed for her hand, clutching it tightly out of fear and concern and worry…that would not have happened in a normal situation either.
…but. This was not a normal situation so her hand clutched at Rhona’s, needing to know that she was there. That she was well. “Now’s not the time to get to know one another…we have to get the hell out of here…I knew I should have just stayed home.
…Staying home was perhaps the only safe thing to do anymore…safe, but boring.
As she ventured further outside, a big piece of the web covered her face and she screamed, dropping both hands to claw it off of her, shaking her head and looking rather like a crazy person. “Oh my god, no. Disgusting!”

Toby Yates (Collected Metal Stake) Those are some big spiders, Toby thought worriedly as he realized what he was seeing. He managed to struggle through the webbing without too much trouble, just getting a bit of it stuck to the edges of his coat, and a wad hanging off one of the elf ears glued to his head. He lost his grip on Michi's hand, which caused him to stop and look back. "Michi! Hang on!" He looked around again, and spotted a box of...rail ties or something, he really didn't know, but they looked sharp and pointy enough to help with whatever was going on. Quickly, one was in his hand, and he moved back to Michi, using the stake to tear off some of the web holding her in place. She probably would have gotten out on her own anyway, but faster seemed better, even if there was a lot of that stuff around. "C'mon," he said urgently, taking her hand again. "This is crazy, but...I think we can get away okay!"

5 If you roll a 4-7 you manage to tear through the web minimal difficulties, but the web clings tightly and forces you to expend some energy to tug away. You may wind up sticking to the web, yourself, or someone else as you struggle free.
...Jack Burnett (dressed as Disney's Peter Pan)
8 If you roll an 8-10 you manage to tear through the webbing with minimal difficulties! You get a good look at the area and have a few extra seconds to plan what you’re going to do next. You spot a crate of loose metal stakes and have the option of grabbing one! (You can only grab one in this post and if you choose to pick one up, please indicate in all future posts that you have retrieved a metal stake by including that information next to your character’s name at the top of your post!)
...Leiko Shuuya (can't afford a costume)
3 If you roll a 1-3 you wind up having a bit of trouble; the web clings to you and your clothes. It is itchy and uncomfortable and you will expend a lot of energy struggling to get free. You may find yourself sticking to the web, yourself, or someone else; patches and ropes of web cling to you even after you tear through the barrier.

Julian White (dressed as a bear) Roddy's strong arms held Julian in place, despite the young man's panic and desire to rush forward with the rest of the crowd. Together, they pushed their way through the crowd as they made their way to the exit. The doors burst open and what looked like fog had rolled in as a wall before them. The first few people screamed and shouted as they were adhered to the fog... no... it was a web! This meant giant spiders must be here. They couldn't stay trapped in the room with all of these panicking people. Julian was pushed forward by the crush of the crowd and became stuck in the webbing. One hand gripped onto Roddy's costume as he struggled, finding the web clung to his hair and shirt. Knowing Roddy was behind him did wonders to keep the young man calmer than he would normally be in this situation. Still, there was quite a struggle to get through the web and into fresh air. Once free, Julian stayed nearby to make sure Roddy was okay. "Roddy! Roddy, can you make it through?" Julian moved forward to reach out to him, to provide help if he could.

Christabelle CallowayThe rush the crowd was to be expected. Who wouldn't run when the lights suddenly flicker out and strange noises abound in a room with only one exit? It was only natural, though she wished they were in private so they could power up. It wasn't safe here to do so - who knew if the Negaverse or Dark Mirrors were lurking among the crowd? Keeping up with Genevieve was no easy task, considering how many people were attempting to leave simultaneously. All at once, Christa found herself stuck not in fog, but a web. "Lovely. Just lovely." she muttered, straining to free herself from the sticky, gooey strings. She didn't have a fear of spiders, but if the size of the web was anything to go by... "Genevieve? Jada? Giulia? Are you alright?" she called behind her as soon as she was free of the damn webs. How could civilians fight something like giant spiders? This could be a death trap. Evren Porter
Working her way through the exit she realized she had been pushed into something but with a stroke of luck another person bumping into her had managed to cause her to slip through the webs with minimal effort. “Guh…” Walking over to the crate she reached in and picked up a strange metal object… “What in the world…” Opting to hang onto it as she began walking as the panicked crowd began to get themselves out of the stick situation.

Anxo - Dressed as a Scarecrow
"Ow..." It didn't take long for the stampede of people to push them along every which way, but Anxo did his best to keep his arm around Saffy and his hand gripping on to Arian's wrist. They all seemed corralled into one single direction, and before long, he could feel those nasty webs clinging to his skin, his hands, his hair, and it sent a shiver down his spine. And it looked like Arian didn't fare much better.
"It's alright, It's alright... Just... Just webs..." He whispered softly into the other man's ear, gently pulling off some of the web with a free hand, though remaining holding onto Saffy. "It's going to be just fine. We just need to keep going, okay?"
litian Sorry! I jumped the gun with that one! biggrin ------ Roddy – dressed as a lionman COLLECTED METAL STAKE
Surprisingly enough, despite his large side, Roddy seemed to have been very deft in his avoiding of feet, elbows, and webs. And while they did slow his roll for a while, it wasn't enough to deter the man, not when he still had Julian's body against his own.
After a moment, he managed to get through, no worse for wear, and even managed to spot the box of spikes, picking one up and holding it in a defensive stance, just in case there really were youma spiders nearby... Hopefully Julian would be able to look away, had he the need to dust a few to keep his roommate safe.
"I'm just fine. Look, I even manage to find this. We'll get out of here just fine, you'll see. I promise." The offered hand was taken and he used it to make sure they weren't separated this time, and he tried to slow his own stride to make sure Julian didn't strip. There was no time for fear. Not right now when they had this task at hand.
-------------- Nischal -- Dressed like Most recent iteration of Aquaman
The blush that crept across Nischal's face was hot and he stammered a bit, clearing his throat to look away, smiling but embarrassed by the attention. And maybe, just maybe, he flexed just a little bit. He could be sure to give a good show if he wanted.
Then the lights went out and he froze on spot, the sounds and the screams of people quickly overwhelming his senses as a elbow after elbow and hit after hit struck his poor skin. But Jason was still there, his fingers laced with his own as he pulled the taller man along. "I-I won't... Don't let me go.."
His voice trembled. No matter how large he was, he still struggled in moments like this, where he couldn't slip into that comfortable form of Avior and be the protective wall he tried so desperately to be. Right now he was only Nischal, a boy who was neither clever nor brave at this moment, and who's anxiety was quickly creeping up to him. He could feel the webs on him, the feeling of something fuzzy creeping over his feet and he had to stifle a frightened gasp in the back of his throat, only showing how frightened he was by giving Jason's hand a tighter squeeze.
"Is there a way out...? That way? We've been through worse... We can make it.." He whispered again, more of a reassurance to himself than to Jason. He had to be brave... He just had to..

Yuuri Matsunaga (not in a costume)
”Not really,” Yuuri breathed in response to Adrien asking if he was okay. No, he was not okay. He was scared because he couldn’t power up and teleport Adrien to safety.
There were people screaming and pushing at him and he was feeling like he was being crushed and his heart was pounding and he just wanted to get out and go home and never leave the house again because stuff like this always seemed to happen.
And there were spiderwebs in the way now. Yuuri swallowed back what anxiety he could and pushed his way through, all the while trying not to be trampled by the crowd looking to exit. --- Michael Lyons-Gallo ( dressed as Obi Wan ) - Picked up a metal stake.
Michael was not slowing down, and he wasn’t going to stop until they made it out of the building. He kept his hand tightly around Caspian’s, pausing only a few times to make sure he was still on his feet, pulling him upright if necessary.
It was easier for Michael to push his way through the webbing once they reached the doors, and he still refused to say a word to his husband. Not until they were to safety. He didn’t want to distract himself.
Luckily, it looked like there were some metal stakes in a crate (why??), so he grabbed one before pulling Caspian further away.
If Caspian wouldn’t heed his warnings about being careful, Michael would just forcibly drag him to safety. --- Ilian Jones ( dressed as Jon Snow )
”Hell if I know,” Ilian responded to Seth’s question about what could have happened. He certainly wasn’t informed. “Probably Obsidian ******** stuff up again,” he growled, really hating that guy. And he’d never even met him.
Getting through the spider web was disgusting, and he was having a lot of difficulty pulling the sticky mess away from him long enough to move forward.
“You’re doing a pretty good job ruining whatever respectable reputation I have already,” Ilian paused to hiss back at Lovely, not at all amused by his attitude. He knew there was very little respect for a child playing as a General, but he tried, damnit.
It was the damned rug that kept getting caught in the webbing, so he gave up on trying to save it and just shrugged it off his shoulders. It was just a cheap rug, anyway. --- Chris Gallo ( dressed as Captain Hook from ONCE )
“It’s not that bad,” Chris said as he followed Paris through the crowd, knowing very well that it probably was a horrible situation to be in, but it could be worse, right? “We could probably fight off a youma,” he reminded her, trailing along as he held onto his coat.
“I think it would be very exciting if it was something new. Maybe it’s not as horrifying as we think it could be. I mean, yeah that’s a lot of… is that spiderweb?” Chris asked with a somewhat uncomfortable expression when he realized that the fog was actually web.
“Okay, well… it could be worse,” he said, although it wasn’t as believable as he’d like it to be. The web itself was difficult to push through, but luckily Paris was holding onto him so they wouldn’t get pulled apart. Well, the web was sticking them together, so… --- Peter Gallo ( dressed as Indiana Jones )
”Woah hey,” Peter sputtered as Haven reached into his pocket for his phone, but didn’t fight her for it. If she needed to find her phone, then that was fine. More light once they all had their phones out.
He could practically hear Vi’s teeth chattering, so quickly shrugged off his leather jacket and dropped it over his friend’s shoulders. Haven was at least in a warm looking costume, and was used to the cold as a skater, but Vi was clearly a summer child and probably got very cold very easily.
And no, he didn’t bother asking if Vi wanted it.
“Yeah I’m fine. You saw Briar and Kirra, didn’t you?” he asked Vi, knowing that Haven probably knew the two as their powered selves, but wasn’t sure about civilian. “We should try to get out and meet up with them,” he suggested.
"Did you find your phone yet??" he asked Haven, trying to peer down at the feet of people, but he had a feeling she would need to get a replacement. "Hang onto mine, but don't lose it."
The only problem was getting to the exit and through the web. Which was easier said than done. Even with Peter’s height, he couldn’t quite manage to push through without the web pushing back, and he got part of his arm stuck to Haven’s for a few moments before he could pull it free.

Rhona Lee -- Winner Sanderson -- Iron SpikeRhona, having lived through one disaster too many, accosted the webbing spike first. She had been attacked by a giant mirror wraith, a giant crystal queen, and a chaos-maddened Dark Mirror Senshi and she'd be god damned if it was spiders that offed her on Halloween. Each time the webbing clung to her, Rhona tore at it with the spike, breaking its hold on her. Whenever she got stuck, she pulled harder. The only struggle she seemed to have was her hair. All up in curls and spirals, it was like a magnet for the webs, constantly pulling and tangling her hair until he was a rat's nest of sticky good and ruby curls. She cursed when she got out and was about to try and mitigate some damage when Lavender exclaimed her distaste for what happened to her. It was a little funny, or would have been in they weren't under constant threat of something happening to them that was more nefarious than what might have been a very elaborate Halloween prank. As it stood, however, there was no humor to be found in that moment. Rhona abandoned the mess in her hair and returned to Lavender's side, hacking at the webbing with her spike the way she had done for herself to free the other woman. "You alright," she asked breathlessly as she worked, "You're not hurt, are you?" She didn't see any blood, but that didn't really mean anything in term of injuries. "And what about you," she asked of Lavender's companion. "How are you holding up?"

Shikora MjoliThere was probably some small part of Shikora that was tempted to ditch him, but her overly concerned heart won out without even a fight. When she heard Steele call her name, she called out in response, "Steele!" moving through the throngs to grab at his shoulder. At least everyone seemed to be safe so far, though the echoes of the screams were still banging around in her ears. "We need to get out of here," she stated, like that wasn't already obvious, as she pushed herself out of the exit. She had been expecting to step into a wall of fog, but it didn't take her long to realize that what she was stepping into definitely wasn't fog. She coughed as if it was in her mouth, immediately moving to swat the webbing away from her face. It was relatively easy to take away from her face, but she found it was sticking a little hard to her dress. Grousing under her breath, Shikora began to pull at the webs sticking to her, having to put in some effort to force it off. Why were these webs so stubborn? Who had even made these webs? As she got the last bit of it off and stepped out of the wall of spiderweb, she began to realize that was likely the bigger problem, here...

Arian Laith - dressed in jeans, polo neck and a sweater Saffron Laith - dressed as a witch - metal stakeArian gave Anxo's hand a gentle squeeze back before letting go - well at least he tried to, but Anxo's grip on his wrist was firmer than it looked and in the end he settled for angling himself in such a way to take point. He did so quietly, not wanting to draw attention to the action, because there were times when Anxo could be a little too observant for his own good - but Arian did not want either his boyfriend or his cousin up front just in case - because he had bad feeling about all of this– Not that it was hard to have anything but a bad feeling about all of this - not given what had happened so far - but at least up in front he could do his best to keep an eye out for both Anxo and Saffy, even if he couldn't help but wish that he was doing it as Athene rather than Arian. Somehow the three of them had managed to make it over to the exit - the swell of people heading in that direction pushing them along towards doors that were wide open by the time that they reached them. Arian stepped through still in front and found himself even more glad that he had shifted to be the one in front when the white stuff that he had initially assumed to be fog had turned out not to be– Instead he had ended up getting tangled up in what appeared to be some sort of spider's web, managing to cut back the startled yelp that tickled the back of his throat as the stuff stuck to clothes and hair both. Both Arian and Anxo had been slightly ahead of her as they exited the Reception Hall which had at least given Saffron a little forewarning about just what was waiting on the other side of the door.
She tried to suppress a shudder, although it was hard to tell just how successful she had been, as it dawned on her that she was going to actually have to go through the stuff in order to properly get outside because - whilst Arian didn't seem to mind spiders - Saffron had never personally been a fan of the creepy crawlies.
She managed to get through without too much trouble, although the hat on her head had managed to get the worst of it but then found herself almost stumbling over a crate that someone had left lying around on the ground, her hand slipping from Anxo's grip as she fought and managed to keep her balance.
Something rattled from inside the crate, something metallic and as Saffron reached down she found her hand closing on what appeared to be a metal stake of some sort.
She scooped it out and turned to try and give Anxo and Arian a hand with getting themselves untangled, but by then her cousin's boyfriend appeared to have mostly gotten the two of them free of the webbing.
"We need to continue on" she agreed with a nod at Anxo's comment that they needed to keep going because she really, really didn't want to come face to face with the thing that had created the web.======================================= Briar Mackenzie - dressed as a vampire hunter The trip over to the exit hadn't been the easiest, but Briar had managed to make it over without too much trouble managing to avoid stumbling over chairs or anything, although a few people had bumped into him and he'd had to push someone out of the way before they could stumble into Kirra.
"Let's keep together, 'kay" he told her with a small smile that was hidden by the darkened room as he reached out to try and hold her hand.
It was pretty stupid that there was only the one exit given that this was Destiny City and weird things had a way of happening, and not just things related to powered superhero stuff, but at least the doors were open - well at least they were by the time that Briar managed to get over to them.
He remembered thinking that he'd seen Peter and Vi earlier, was considering trying to see once if he could try and find them once he and Kirra was outside, a part of his thoughts also on Scott–
Which meant that he only realised that the white stuff outside wasn't fog after stepping into it and got stuck in it.
He yelped, startled as the stuff stuck to both him and his clothes, struggling to get free as he managed to eventually get free enough to half turn and call out "Kirra watch out for the white stuff! It's spider webbing."
