+3 cartography: cartography is the ability to make and read maps. This skill can be used to mark down paths through dungeons. Using the skill in a dungeon does not require a roll, but it does require a post dedicated to marking your path down on your map, usually after you clear a room, since the skill can only be used outside of combat. You can keep track of as many rooms in order as you have points in cartography. When turning in your experience, you will be awarded a map that contains the path that you discovered. This information can be freely traded to other characters. You can have multiple maps of the same dungeon.

+3 hide: a combat skill. If used as the first action of combat, you roll against the enemy's roll3. A successful 'attack' will be calculated like a damage roll, but with a /8 divisor instead of a /4. This will deal no damage, but instead will be granted as a bonus to your next roll1 attack on the chosen creature. Failure to hide from even a single mob in the encounter will result in your character being found, and they will receive no bonus for that encounter, the post being treated as a normal combat post against the monster.
Important to note is mob behavior during this check. Your roll1 will be checked against the mob's roll3+roll3 modifier. The monster's behavior will be treated as a non-issue, and will not be calculated unless this check results in you being discovered, which will recalculate the monster's roll3 and roll4 as a standard combat post, using your hide roll1 and roll2 as your rolls for that round.
Should you successfully hide from a monster or encounter, you can leave the combat with a single action, and without provoking an attack. This works in all cases that escape is possible in a combat. If used in a dungeon, you can proceed to the next room, but you will not get any rewards for clearing the room. Choosing to leave combat in a dungeon will spare you from combat in that room for as long as you stay inside it, allowing you to use a post to employ cartography should you choose to.
While using hide, any bonus or detriment that you would normally receive to evasion (excluding actual points in evasion or evasion artes) will be added to your roll1, meaning that you receive a 25% bonus in light armor.

+2 suspicious candy: This candy has no smell, nor does it have taste. In fact, it has no texture or appearance. Despite this, it still functions as candy
The Ranger looks at you appraisingly. "You move well, and you learn quickly. I do have one more tool that you might be able to make use of. It is a skill that we Rangers strive to perfect, and is the reason that we are such talented hunters. If you are willing, I would like to teach you how to find and exploit weaknesses in your prey."
Quest acquired!

+4 scan: a combat skill. By using an attack action, you can study a monster for weak points. Areas that will be weak to your attacks will be highlighted, and will remain visible to your character until the monster is dead. You can only scan a single monster once. The attack roll will be treated as normal, but will have a /8 divisor instead of a /4. This bonus will be added to all your roll1's and roll2's against that monster until it is dead.
Using this skill does not break a successful hide check. That means that you can hide with your first post, scan with your second, and then make an attack. Each scan only targets one monster.
New skill total: 38
+3 suspicious candies: There once was somebody who was not suspicious of these candies. There is now not that person.
