So much. Going on. Maple just kind of stood there petrified. First Andrew had made his way back closer to her, making her worry that he was going to destroy all that self esteem that everyone else but him were beginning to build back up again ... to somewhat safer levels and then yet another large Shadow Creature arrived (of course!). Her brown eyes were the size of saucers. Because, again, of course they weren't done.

That dread wasn't there for nothing! Horrible things were possible at every turn, and her senses were always open for them.. expecting them.

And she hated that it was. Any sort of smile, just fell as she clutched her keyblade even closer to herself like some sort of security blanket. And she watched everyone scurry about, attacking this new thing as she sort of... stepped a little backwards making the biggest unhappy face ever. Should she try to heal someone again?

(- wait, were those two making out?! REALLY? AT A TIME LIKE THIS?)

While Andrew hated dogs, right now the bigger threat was the giant shadowling. Thatchey’s unspoken protection was more than enough. He paused and summoned fire into the blade and in the air around him. A wave of extra heat rolled off of him as fireballs formed and shot out at the giant shadowling, crashing into it in volley of rounds.

Andrew was a coward, so he was very impressed with himself to say the least. “How did I do that?” he looked at the keyblade a bit perplexed.

He might have been able to muster enough strength for one last hurrah against the monster but the boil couldn’t seem to make his legs work. Or more likely, he didn’t want to. What was the point? So tired, he just wanted to sleep.

His ears perked weakly, someone was approaching. Judging by the shout he’d just heard, he guessed who it was. The boil braced himself, opening his bright green eyes to confirm his suspicions. His gaze was low and he didn’t dare make eye contact. He just wanted to see what the boil would do. His stomach turned a little as Gabby sat down in front of him, in an obviously defensive pose. He was... Protecting him? It was unexpected, and kind; Efflo didn’t know how to take it. He wasn’t good at dealing with feelings, wasn’t good at all. Tears welled up in his eyes but the boil quickly brushed them away. Don’t be stupid, he chided. Get a hold of yourself.

Unfortunately, he didn’t really know how to do that. He was exhausted, again all he could think of was sleep. He wanted to curl up somewhere warm, somewhere comfy. The floor was cold and hard, it wasn’t at all like his soft straw bed. He looked up again, maybe… The boil inched across the floor with discernable effort towards the dragon. When he reached him, Efflo nestled against Gabby’s back, snuggling up with a sigh. His thoughts were still a mess, and he wasn’t sure how to feel about the boil but he was so sleepy. And he couldn’t help it, Gabby was a...

“Good pillow,” he whispered softly, before promptly falling asleep. Even the gentle hand that patted his arm did not rouse him.

Lattice was not impressed by her earlier attempts and thus she stuck by the boil she was trying to help. As he moved she quietly shifted and lightly brushed her fingertips over his cheek in a almost motherly fashion - at least for her.

For whatever reason she was putting in a lot of effort to help this poor boil. Probably because in a fashion he was similar to Petro in terms of specie or perhaps she just wanted to put in more effort to help.

Unfortunately for Lattice she was taking quite a beating as well, but she seemed to care very little when it came to the needs of others.

"Thanks, I'll try not too..." Andrew didn't question heals... heals were good. he would remember cookie girl though. She was nice. He was back to normal. He popped up, and summoned another couple fire balls, landing them square on the boss.

And was promptly knocked down onto his back again. Maybe he should just not get up. Sounded like a great idea.

This was really not the time for sweet romantic moments, but Siddie figured that she'd have been pretty upset if Sammy got badly hurt, so maybe Gabby kissing his boilfriend in the middle of everything was a natural reaction. Relatively, anyway. And they both looked pretty sore and tired.

She hurried over and tapped the horse boil on the shoulder with the blunt side of her key-sword. The now-familiar sensation of healing flowed out of her. "Are you going to be okay?" she asked worriedly.

Out cold, Efflo didn’t catch Gabby’s reply or his reaction. He was vaguely aware of being shifted but as his pillow remained, the boil did not stir further. He was indeed very useless and had the boil heard the frosty dragon, he’d be hard pressed to find any convincing argument against that fact.

But then fingertips were trailing across his cheek, the undead noticing only because their touch immediately left him feeling renewed. His unbearable sleepiness dispersed as quickly as it had gathered and the boil sat up, rubbing his eyes. He’d only been out a moment but his slumber had been so deep, he had completely forgotten what was going on. And though he felt much better, he couldn’t shake the feeling of drowsiness that lingered. Slow realization dawned on him as he also noticed his close proximity to Gabby, and the fact that he’d just been sleeping on his knee. There was a ghoul there too, staring at him with concern. He surmised that she had been the one to wake him; he couldn’t imagine the other boil performing such an intimate gesture. Not that he wanted him too! The very thought had the boil blushing, his dark cheeks rosy with embarrassment. But the dragon had defended him…

But before he could dwell and make a further mess of things, another ghoul hurried over, tapping him on the shoulder with her blade. There was that feeling of renewal again and the boil felt even better. At least, he did for a moment, until still unwittingly leaning against Gabby he felt the other grimace. He frowned, and gave his head a dismal shake. This was his fault, it always was. He had to fix things.

“I-I… Thank-you!” he spit out, getting to his feet with a sick look on his face. How could they be so nice to him? Shouldn’t they know? He wasn’t worth their time; he should have been left for shadow fodder. They were strangers and he shouldn’t mean anything to any of them! Just leave me alone he wanted to scream, even though they were being so kind. He wanted to punch his own brain. He didn’t know how to handle it. He didn’t know how to handle any of this, despite the fact he’d brought it crashing down on himself.

So he ran away from them. Ran straight towards the boss. He didn’t know what else to do, so he was going to hit something. And he was going to hit it hard. He spotted Gabby’s keyblade lying nearby, and the horse boil couldn’t help but shoot a glance back at the dragon. What had he been thinking? Never mind that, he thought, grabbing the blade and swinging it at the boss.

When Efflo came back, looking sort of wobbly again, Siddie poked him again with the keysword and said, smiling, "You're welcome." She didn't really dare try hitting the creature herself, but she could heal creeple right now, and every little bit helped, as hard as the big thing seemed to be hitting. She was unaware of the boil's inner turmoil; as far as she could tell, he was getting tired and low on Fear, and that was explanation enough for his expression.

The outflow of energy was stronger than she expected, and she wavered a little on her feet herself, her lips pursing with surprise. "Um. I'm not sure I can do that again," she admitted in a very small voice. "I'm sorry."
