((Refill, reboil))
She nearly lost the pot because of a minipet thinking it was a game.
Nope.
Can't boil with this much water.

((Refill))
Slightly better this time. The pot was at least definitely cooled off, though Junko was rather wet. Sigh.
She returned to Ginger, looking sheepish. "I-I promise I don't normally have problems like this. I don't know what's wrong with me today. I'm so sorry!" Junko apologized, nibbling nervously at her lip. Boil, boil..

((Boiling.))
It didn't boil quite as fast. Maybe she'd just let the water sit too long. This was okay.
Junko sighed with relief when it didn't immediately boil over. She didn't have much time.

((Adding various spices and the meat aw yeah))
She looked through the spices, the broth, the seasoning. What to use for this apparent pork stew. A little of that...some of this...and a bit of that. Ohhh and this! Yes! Perfect! She eyed the sickly mushroom. She'd include that, too. Ginger had suggested it added flavor nicely.
The meat was added last, stirring it all together with the happiest hum. Okay, things were going better.

((LET IT COOK)) Junko kept a very close eye on things. She didn't want to mess this up. She needed to get it right. Get it perfect. Junko had cooking experience darn it! She looked very dejected as she stared into the pot. It didn't look right. It didn't look right at all. "I-I um..." Junko frowned, kneeling by the fire. "I've never...cooked over an open flame before." She tugged at her hair a bit. "I'msorryIcandobetterthanthisIpromise." Ohhh! She'd messed up so badly she was sure of it! And this was their first lesson!

Disregarding the ghoul's flustered panic, Ginger dipped a laddle into the pot and filled a bowl full of stew for each of them. "Here ya go luv. Ye've worked hard an'could likely use a bit o'nourishment. Let's see 'ow well ye faired." The lunchlady didn't speak again for quite some time as she ate. Sometimes with big spoon fulls, and other times with small, slow tasting bites. She made a few pleased sounds and several thoughtful sounds, and her expression remained roughly pleasant throughout. The stew itself was definitely flawed, the scent and texture were definitely off, but it didn't really taste bad. And in fact, the more Junko ate, a pleasant feeling began to fill her. It wasn't dramatic, but it was noticeable. Finally finished, Ginger placed her bowl to the side and clasped her hands on her lap, giving the ghoul a long, considering look. "Ye wasted quite a bit, an ye'll 'ave to work on that. Ye need to respect the food more, even when it's a bit less than perfect, ye ken? Now, the meal itself served it's purpose well fer this lil'outing o'ours. Ye'll note yer feeling a bit better, at least physically? Thass in part because o'the special spices, and in part yer own efforts, imbuing the stew with extra FEAR." The large lunchlady beamed, "Sometimes ye might yerself in a situation where being able to fix a nice, healthful meal can make a great difference fer the better. Even if the taste is a bit lacking," she gave a gruff chuckle and lit a cigar. "Ye c'n keep the spices with you, eventually ye won't even need 'em. Practice this cooking when ye can, an eventually ye'll make food thass both good and good for ye." Eight Junko had learned Campfire!Campfire is an ability that can be used outside of battle, at times when she and others may believably take a moment to sit down and eat. To use: Roll 1d12. This is the amount Junko's cooking will heal up to four people at once.

Junko sat quietly, watching with wide eyes and flushed cheeks as Ginger served them each a bowl of what she was dubbing 'failstew'. She accepted her bowl with a quiet thank you, giving the lunchlady a little smile at her words. She did work hard, but she was still worried. Junko watched her at first, waiting to see if Ginger collapses or gagged or threw up or made that 'It tastes horrible but I don't want to admit that to you' face. It didn't happen. Junko felt a little bit of relief and finally dug in, surprised by how it tasted. It wasn't terrible! It was okay. And she felt..funny. A good funny. She blinked, giggling quietly as she ate some more. She finished shortly after Ginger, smiling again. Junko felt..lighter? Not literally but she did feel good. She felt okay. Less panicked for sure. Junko was quiet as Ginger watched her, swallowing hard and almost feeling anxious again. What did she th--oh. Yes..she did waste a lot. And she felt terribly about that. Respect the food more? Um..okay. What did that actually mean? She'd learn, she was sure. Feeling better? Well, yes. Her eyes widened a bit at the explanation, and as Ginger gave her that big smile. "I can...make people better with my food?" Junko looked to the pot sitting above the fire. She'd been cooking food because she was hungry, or to feed the other students during events held by the Student Council to keep them happy and accommodate them if they got hungry. But she could do good with her cooking? She'd practice, definitely! She'd find herself a bomb, look up other ways to start fires. Practice, practice, practice. "I'll do it!" Junko grinned up at Ginger again, looking excited. "I'll respect food more, I promise! I won't waste anything. I'll work hard~. I'll practice!" She clapped her hands together just beneath her chin, feeling excited again. "It's something I have to love, right? Not just because it's something I have to do?" She wiggled a little where she was sitting, picking up one of the spice bottles and reading it. Oooh! She was so excited! She was going to practice right away! Er..once...prom was over...but then after that! Definitely! "Is there anything else that needs to be done, Miss Ginger?"

Ginger nodded sagely and knocked ashes into her bowl, "Jess so me dearheart, jess so. Now fer th'time being I want ye t'practice cookin' outside o'the kitchen. When ye ken how t'make do with what ye 'ave, ye'll rarely be helpless t'the whims o'Fate."

At Ginger's instructions Junko nodded her head, eager to please. "Yes, ma'am! I'll do just that!" She clapped her hands again, squealing with excitement and wasting no time in beginning to clean up. She could wash the bowls and other utensils in the river. And bring back some water to put the fire out! "Ohhhh~! Thank you so much, Miss Ginger!" Junko paused in cleaning up to throw her arms around the lunchlady in a big hug, bouncing a bit. She hadn't been this excited in ages! She soon released the hug to get back to cleaning up, humming a cheerful little tune as she collected her bowl, the pot, the pan, the knives and spoons and forks and other utensils she had used. She let Ginger keep the bowl she was using as an ash tray for now. She would come back for the tray after she'd put out the fire. "Will you contact me again when it's time for my next lesson? Or do I have to come to you? I'msorryifI'maskingtoomanyquestions. I'm just..excited! This was so much fun, Miss Ginger!" The dirty dishes were carried in her arms with surprising ease for a ghoul who announced she didn't have much strength in her. Apparently she had the strength of ten boils when it came to housework. It's totally a thing.
