Mathias (-1)

He did not see Delilah - He thought he caught a glimpse of her for a moment - but it was too dark and smokey to be certain. Which was annoying - but what could he do at this point?

He pressed on, and as the wind began to pick up, he brought his arms up in front of himself, walking forward with deliberate steps as he grunted, forcing his feet to move forward against the wind, leaning into it.

He would not let this stop him - oh no. He would not.

Phrygia (0)

Phrygia was not expecting a windstorm indoors. He didn't even have a chance to buckle down against it before the rough rush of wind sent him sprawling backwards onto his a**, swearing loudly as he attempted to push against the sudden gale and right himself.

By the time he got to his feet - more people were coming down the stairs and he knew he'd lost valuable time. Time he needed to regain.

He broke into a sprint - hoping it would be enough...

Sharatan (0)

Sharatan spun, puting a hand on Itsuki when she heard the voice behind her. "Ah! Zeta! Over h-"

The wind picked up and she pitched forward, the cat tumbling off her shoulder and sliding across the polished floor to the downward stairwell. "Itsuki!" She called after him, but she saw the rush of the ground behind them and she shook her head. "Run!"

She looked to Zeta as she stood. "Run, Zeta! Run!"

Regaining her feet she spun, and tried to make it back across the narrow pathway - she didn't know how much time they had left...

Lt. Cuprite

Cuprite nodded in acknowledgement to the name. At least it wasn't as impersonal as using his cousin's rank and it was less of a chance to slip up and call him something as personal as Tink. His eyes darted around for a moment to take in the stairs but turned his attention back to the other blond when he spoke up again.

"Have you seen any other's you recognize here? I haven't yet but then you would know more then I would." There weren't many that Cuprite knew outside of Benitoite's group, beyond his boyfriend anyway and he didn't see Layne anywhere nearby, powered up or not. Though a minute later he was pretty sure that his cousin knew at least one person as a Negaverse Lieutenant sent a wink and a kiss in their direction, most likely aimed at Benitoite. The taller of the two men gave her a quick, amused smile but since she was going down another path he didn't stay looking at her long.

"Several days? It didn't really feel like it but if you say so then it must be true. I was pulled into a room with no escape, for a while there I was on my own but later I was joined by some civilians. I didn't feel hungry or tired, or anything else for that matter. I didn't even need to power down at all during the time." Cuprite said with a thoughtful frown. "And no, no fights broke out." Just after he said that, a wind started to blow around them and Cuprite had to brace himself a bit better against the wind but thankfully wasn't blown around. He did however keep his grip on his cousin to hopefully keep the smaller, lighter, man from blowing around.

Faustite, Captain

Faustite lacked time to think. He pressed forward because backward was no longer an option. He pressed forward because the path was too narrow for lateral motion. He pressed forward because the universe funneled him in this direction, confiscating his agency and subjecting him to unknowable forces.

He knew not how far ahead he was, but he imagine the path still cracked and shattered behind him. But he lacked time for a glimpse back; a strumming pierced his ears with pervasive heaviness, and in its wake, wind forced him to the floor. The gust itself sent him sliding a few inches and the pipes in his back jostled against the floor painfully. Slowly he righted himself, ever aware of those who fled like gazelle in the wake of lions, and sought surer footing to fight the wind.

He knew not what he heard, but gnawing metal and wrenching throats promised no easy reprieve.

Ochre, Corrupted Eternal Senshi

"I have no idea where this is going," Ochre confessed outright. And um -- wow, s**t!" The senshi startled as he slid backward beyond his control by a few inches. A gust worked up from further beyond them, billowing his hair out behind him and likely whipping anyone in the immediate vicinity. The gust pulled his clothing taut uncomfortably and threatened to remain constant.

And the sounds in the distance seemed equally foreboding. "Jeez... Where is this wind even coming from? I thought we were inside of something." His footfalls grew slower, more surefooted against the wind's aggression. Moving quickly would land him on his a**, much like some of the others in their area. He wanted to retain at lest some grace in front of the squire - especially if there was chance of converting him to the winning side.

"Kinda looks like we're running outta the frying pan and into the fire. So if this goes tits up, try to remember me as the most awesome corrupted senshi you ever met. Even if it's a lie. Just... Do me that favor. And, uh, I'll do the same for you. Only as a squire. You know."

Sailor Lacerta

The metallic humming was mildly irritating at most. The dissonant sound set Lacerta on edge but that was merely it. Feeling the wind kick up was alarming. Knowing that at that precise moment if her attention wavered just one little iota then not only would she fall but so to would Mel. The glint from high above was fascinating but Lacerta had a mission and that didn't involve falling off this strange pathway.

Crooning softly to Mel Lacerta pushed forward against the strange wind and found a spot that seemed to offer next to nothing in resistance. She did wonder what would happen if she put Mel down but considering that she wasn't having a hard time getting past this odd wind she continued to carry him. "I know you said you can walk and it might be easier on me afterwards to let you do so but this wind might toss you off at the moment. I can let you down once the wind lets up if that is ok?"

Even if Mel wasn't okay with her idea the senshi wasn't sure she'd put him down just yet. There was also the sounds of twisting metal and inhuman shrieks from up ahead and the red-head felt a shiver run down her arms. Something ahead wasn't in a good mood. Taking the next few steps two at a time she continued upwards, not willing to give into the burning sensation that the exertion of stair-climbing was beginning to present itself.

--

8 - You were fortunate enough to land near the pathway and manage to get a good head start.
7 - You choose the stairs leading upwards. Maybe higher ground will grant you a better vantage? You are met with only darkness, but it is easy to skip two steps at a time and hasten your trip.
10 - Though a breeze pushes at you, you find that you have reached a weak patch of it; it pushes you back just slightly but barely slows you down at all.

Eternal Chaldene

As he and Antares continued walking down the path he had picked, he was really surprised she hadn't just dragged him in her chosen direction, he wasn't surprised when something decided to try and push back against them all. It wasn't something physical, at least not really, it was wind which picked up out of no where.

While he wasn't having as much trouble as some he worried for others, worried other people might get pushed right off the path they were on. He had gotten lucky it seemed and could move without much resistance. he didn't move to run though, not wanting to slip or out run the super senshi with him.

"Do you hear that, Antares?" He was sure he could hear something, he didn't' have the wind howling in his ears like it might be for others. "maybe something is out there...a cause for this wind?" He questioned, prodding and toying with the backing to one of his lip piercings. It really was a nervous habit, one which the super senshi would know. It was a habit he hadn't ever bothered to try and break, didn't plan to either.

"I don't like this...I-I really don't..." He called towards the blond.

General Benitoite

"Mmm, no, one I know." Though he did miss the white haired female wink at him and the blown kiss, or he would have mentioned knowing her to his cousin. He also would have wondered why she was darting off elsewhere, rather than joining them. Had he seen her he might have even dragged Cuprite with him to the Lieutenant, she was part of his team after all, as he would want to keep her safe. "I do hope no one else from our team got pulled into this." If any had, and he spotted them, he would bring them as close to himself and Cuprite as he could, wanting to keep them safe and close at hand. He knew their skill sets, or at least had a good idea of them, and would want to watch out for his group.

"You weren't hungry....or in need of the basic things...interesting - but good." Very good actually, it meant his cousin was in good shape to handle whatever might have dragged them all here. He had no doubt they would wind up having to fight something, he just didn't know what. "We're likely to have to fight something....I don't know when...but I know it'll happen. It's good you are in good condition." Not because his cousin would be a burden to him, that he'd have to watch out for and keep him safe, but so he could fight as well and wouldn't be winded too soon into things.

"I'm glad no fights broke out." As he spoke a wind picked up, though there seemed to be no source of it, he was glad this was all that was happening right now. Yes, he had to brace himself and slow his pace so he could push through the wind but it was better than other options. He could picture a lot worse to deal with than wind - he'd accept this.

"Keep a hold on my hand. I'm not losing you."

Irkalla, Page of Cosmos:

Sounds of metal twisting and monstrous shrieking could only mean that something up ahead was most certainly a foe. Perhaps even the same foe that was responsible for the wind that was gusting at the Cosmos Page. Gritting her teeth and pushing her feet to continue down the stairs was no easy feat. At one point though the wind slackened just a little which enabled Irkalla to move more easily down her chosen path. She could feel the path vibrating beneath her feet and was one-hundred percent certain that the crumbling pathway hadn't stopped at the three-way split. Slowly but surely it seemed as if everything in this strange place was breaking up into fragments. What of those that were unlucky enough to fall? What would happen to them?

Pushing away the thoughts of even the possibility of falling Irkalla pushed forward, using the slackened breeze to her advantage to gain more distance from the crumbling path and drawing closer to whatever lay in wait ahead of her.

Super Sailor Myrrha

Whatever was causing the annoying humming sound in her ears Myrrha wanted to find it and preferably destroy it. The Super senshi was not having the greatest time walking the straight and narrow. Cracking a small smile at her own turn of thoughts Myrrha flicked her hair back from her eyes and continued to watch the path in front of her carefully. The sudden wind that sprung up was daunting but she crossed her arms in defiance and pushed forward ... with surprisingly little resistance. That was really really strange. Lowering her arms Myrrha placed one foot in front of the other as she picked up the sound of metal being twisted from someplace in the distance. Knowing that she could not retreat Myrrha doggedly moved forward towards the whatever lay down the path.

Sailor Hamal

Relieved that Athene didn't mind having her company, she really was worried about being a burden or something, she was pleased to keep at his side as she let him lead the way. He was more experienced and whatever he was most comfortable with she would follow and deal with, she was sure she could adapt to whatever might come at them. Even if she wasn't sure she would try her best, she had to do this...

"Thank you for letting me follow you. I'm glad I know at least one person here. I don't what I'd have done if I knew no one here." She spoke softly. Her hands were folded neatly in her lap as she walked along with the other, looking over to Athene every so often, otherwise her dark eyes were kept straight ahead in case anything came towards them.

When the wind came she was glad she didn't have heels like she saw some did, though slippers offered her no traction against the wind. She wound up trying to make herself as small as she could in order to try and help herself, give less for the wind to push at. It was, for her, a struggle to get through and to take each step. She was doing it though, just slowly, she wasn't going to turn away...not that she could anyway. She was fairly certain the ground behind them was still vanishing.

Eternal Sailor Athene

"There's truly no need to thank me" Athene said quietly to Hamal his booted feet carefully stepping over a couple of steps as as he continued making his way up the steps "I'm glad that I'm not doing this alone too."

It wasn't bad going upwards, despite the darkness, as it was relatively easy to skip some of the steps - at least up until the point where the wind started to pick up forcing Athene to brace himself as he continued to make his way upwards.

"Watch out for the wind" he said quietly to Hamal, because whilst he was sure that the two of them could both handle it, it wouldn't do to lose concentration - not where they were.

Captain Reinerite

As it happened Bloodstone was the one to find her first and whilst she would never admit to it out loud, a part of Reinerite was relieved that the other had made it out from the platform okay.

She shook her head at the question, "I'm fine" she said as she followed him towards the straight, narrow path that was the closest of the three paths.

It was not her first choice of path - the path a little too narrow for her tastes–

Although it was not something that she was going to admit to openly either.

Instead Reinerite banished her weapon back to subspace before stepping out onto the path and carefully making her across and whilst a part of her mourned the sensible shoes that she had had as a Lieutenant, she was glad that her Captain uniform at least came with flats.

She was even more glad when the wind picked up, the gust strong enough to knock her back a few paces, causing her to stumble and fall backwards...

But mercifully she landed on the path, butt first - but still on the path.

She gingerly picked herself up carefully, because the edge was far too close to her liking glad that she had had the sense to banish her weapon first, because if she'd been carrying the staff to hand then it was likely that she would have fallen, before slowly pushing onwards.

Mauvian Liryn (human form)

The stairs that wound their way upwards had been lacking in railings of any sort, although Liryn wasn't particularly phased by their lack.

Nor was he particularly worried about the way how they seemed to disappear upwards into darkness.

Instead he followed after Tomlin and used the longer legs of the cat-human form to take the stairs two at a time whenever possible as he hoped that the top of the stairs would help to afford the two of them an advantage–

The wind picked up as he continued follow Tomlin upwards, but whilst it pushed him back slightly, it wasn't enough to hinder.

Eternal Scylla

She thought she caught sight of someone waving as she rushed down the path, perhaps heard a hint of her name on the air, but the rush of people and bodies tore her away from trying to identify who was calling out for her. There were a few familiar people in the crowd, and there was too much panic- and things were crashing all around them.

Her hand tightened around Kallichore's as the transcended senshi reached out for her, delicate fingers wrapping tightly. Supernatural strength, but the other woman could take it- she had her own. The wind shoved at her, and Scylla shoved back, taking advantage of her smaller body and momentum to try and shove her way through this trial.

The shrieking of metal made her think of gears. Tick-Tock; what goes around, comes around. Whatever Chaos wrought here, she would not allow. All of the people here were trapped because of a long-ago failure that she took personally. If she had been a better friend, less self-involved with her own trials, perhaps...

But perhaps didn't matter. If wishes were horses, beggars would ride- and this lot of beggars were certainly running for their lives.

All paths progressed in the same general direction; they remained three separate paths, but they were all affected by a sudden, strange wind. The breeze was accompanied by an odd, metallic hum pushed against the three groups as if trying to repel them towards their goal. The force wasn’t enough to cause harm, but something was clearly trying to stop them from moving forward.

The faster they ran, the stronger the wind blew. In the distance before them, while difficult to see, the sound of twisting metal and monstrous shrieking echoed.

Behind them, only blackness; the path they had come down already was crumbling. Something glinted high above the group but there was no time to examine; they needed to fight against this wind and try to cover more distance if they didn’t want to wind up falling.

8 or higher: Though a breeze pushes at you, you find that you have reached a weak patch of it; it pushes you back just slightly but barely slows you down at all.
