Cyndal:
Cyndal was apprehensive and had been for awhile now. Her mate did not seem to notice as busy as he was with his career, knowing how difficult it was to perform as a firefighter she decided to wait to speak with him at the right time.
Each day she was getting more and more unsure if she should even broach the subject with him but it was something she had decided a while ago she wanted.
A child of their own! Oh how she adored Volos and treated him kindly she was still so new to this mothering thing and her mother was not exactly a role model but she was determined.
Ever since she met Qadim her life changed for the better, gone were the days of the runway, make up, clothes, shoes and cameras going off in her face. The fame and money were gone but she felt a peace she never felt before. She knew this was what her sister, Callie Mae kept trying to tell her but she refused to listen.
Hearing Qadim come in she quietly walked up to him and took him by the hand and asked if he could speak with her for a few moments. She smiled at him and before she could lost her nerve she blurted out "I want a child of our own" and looked at him with tears in her eyes.
Qadim:
Qadim came home tired. There had only been a small fire during his shift, a grease fire that got out of hand but only caused a little property damage. There was still some ash smudged on his cheek, however. He felt Cyndal before he saw her, lacing his claws with her fingers. Her presence always brought a smile to his face, especially after a long day at work.
Turning to his mate, his smile turned down at the corners when he saw her tears. It took a moment for her words to sink in and then he chuckled softly. "Don't cry, love," he murmured and curved his claws over her cheeks, gently brushing her tears away. "It's alright. What brought this on?"
Not that he was opposed. Not at all! He adored children, and was glad to have Volos. He was also glad that Volos and Cyndal got along so well. Qadim supposed the little sprog might like to have some siblings.
And if he were honest, he would absolutely love to have little versions of Cyndal running around. He smiled and leaned his forehead against hers. "Let's do it," he said. "Let's imbue..."
