Henna wanted to stop Grant from leaving but knew she did not have the authority. She sighed and Sat on a stool next toe the work table. When the maid came back with her meal she thanked the girl and drank straight from the pitcher, not bothering to dirty the glass cup she had carried along as well. The food was sparse but well made. She was usually not given much when she skipped Banquets only because she was so post to be sitting at the banquet along with the rest of the major members of the court. She hated having to make up meaningless conversations with old men when she should be working. She tore off a chunk of bread and stuck it in her mouth before getting back to work on Grant's suit.

She picked out a few Silver buttons with the crest embellished on them and sewed then down the front, then took out the jacket and started to sew piping along the bottom hem. It was then that she realized that the bead she was eating was moldy. She coughed and spat out the disgusting stuff onto the pale from whence it had came. She looked horrified. “Who’s Idea was this!?” She yelled, knowing the maid was long gone. She huffed her breath and stood up. She would have to go down and join the rest of the court if she wanted to eat, and that meant having to dress nice.

She Dressed in a nice elaborate gown, with detached sleeves and many bells and bangles, the colors ranged from silvery grey to a reddish purple, and she combed out her hair before tying it back at the nape of her neck. She painted her face quickly, then slipped on a pair of beaded sandals. The sandals made clicking noised as she rushed down the hallway towards the banquet hall. She had an annoyed look on her face until she walked though the door, once in sight of the court she brightened and smiled warmly, greeting people as she passed them. She made a straight line towards the food and saw Grant there as well. “I really don’t appreciate It when you ditch me in the middle of a fitting.” She said under her bread, taking up a hand full of grapes on her right hand.

((OOC: I wish I could be logged on more, but my brother takes up a large amount of time on the computer and doesn't like getting off every hour and a half for me to check the RP.))

Alexander was calm now, but still not in the good mood he was in before seeing the Inheritance papers. Alexander wondered if his confused mind would be able to concentrate long enough for his performance tonight. The act he had planned was very precise and any mistakes wouldn't be accepted by those at the dinner. When thoughts of what he planned on doing came, thoughts of hatred seemed to break through the emotional wall Alexander tried constructing in his mind. Instead of thinking of his performance, Alexander thought about the well dressed fools that would be clapping and having a wonderful time while servants bowed and did they're every whim like get them drinks, get desert, while after the dinner they would be stuck with left overs. One last thought of hatred crept forth from the broken emotional wall and spoke.

This is why all Tou are equal to one another; because inequality creates hatred.

Alexander realized this to be true and finally pieced together why the Tou didn't allow impure bloods; it would create inequality in Tou society. Alexander understood why now, but it only helped lessen the hatred for a time. Things would work out for better or for worst and Alexander needed to accept his fate was not his own to decide. Taking a deep breath then sighing, he stepped into the great hall and sat down in a chair beside the archway. Alexander didn't know what to play as he waited for the dinner to start, so he started to play what he was feeling: uncertainty. Levitating his fiddle to his right hand, Alexander began to play a slow song. The notes seemed to echo, but not go farther than a regular violin's sound would go. All the notes he played were low notes at a steady pace, like nails grinding on a chalk board, but not in a way that was painful to the ears.

{I know....or I do now... I'm going to say I knew that and You can't prove I did not...sorry. Henna just wants to snag a bite and beg for more funding from the high ups.}

"My apologies." Grant responded. "But I had matters that I had to attend to immediately. When is the next available time for us to finish?" He asked as he looked around the room. He had yet to make eye contact with Henna. Not because he didn't want to but because as usual there where people he didn't recognize and needed to check them out before they where allowed to do anything that mite jeopardize the safety of the guests. Grant looked to two guards and motioned them over to himself. "Excuse me a moment." Grant and two of the guards walked over to a lady in a dirty green dress. After a few ill words from the lady and the head Maid coming over and explaining about the few people Grant hadn't recognized Grant returned to Henna. "Sorry about that."

"What's the matter?" She asked popping a few grapes into her mouth. "Did they use the wrong table spreads?" She smiled. "I'll bring it to your chambers tonight after you are done with your work. " She grabbed an apple from the beautifully laid out center spread that was meant as a decoration not so much to be eaten and took a bite out of it... it was very sour. She swallowed hard making a face, And coughed. "Gods, why do they insist on putting these out when they know I can not resist." She said and put the apple back bite mark down. Hopefully no one would find it until after the event was over. Hennas hand grabbed a silver pitch of wine and she poured herself a tall glass. She was intent on getting her fill before the banquet started so she could leave during the first half.

Alexander stopped playing; he didn't feel like playing his violin anymore, he was sick of the damn thing. It was like a mockery of his life, basically telling him that if he didn't play music for the somebodies, he would be a nobody. Alexander just placed his violin along with the fiddle on the right side of the chair. Now Alexander wanted power, because people -rich or poor- recognized power. Alexander's gift of magic was squabbled over the years since his masters often restricted him from using it. The King allowed Alexander to use Levitation since Alexander needed it in order to play the violin excellently.

Alexander needed something else to take his mind off the dinner coming up, so he raised his right hand and point it at one of the servants that was running back and forth between the kitchen and the Great Hall. Alexander levitated a sweet roll from a plate the servant was carrying and this didn't go unnoticed by the servant. The servant immediately stood over Alexander with a look of impatience as Alexander took a bite of the roll.

"That isn't for you Alexander, that was for the dinner."

Alexander just kept eating, but rudely started to speak with his mouth full. Alexander’s voice seemed uncaring about what the servant had said, but he had heard what he said.

"What are you going to do about it? You’re going to get behind if you keep talking to me."

The servant knew this would be true and decided to leave Alexander with the sweet roll since he was already eating it anyway. The sweet roll was just what Alexander needed to get his mind to calm down and relax, basically comfort food. Despite his relaxed state now, Alexander still just wanted to stay in the Great Hall; he would only say something rude if he left and met other people.

Grant looked to Henna. "I'm afraid that I will not be staying in my quarters here in the castle tonight. I will be going home after the banquet. I will return before midday tomorrow." Grant said as he looked at his time piece. "I must get ready for tonight's event, excuse me" Grant bowed and sent his men off.

Henna shrugged and waved as he left. “See you then." She called and walked to find some one else to entertain herself with...She spotted a minstrel not to far away and she cringed when she saw that the bottom hem of his left pant leg was fraying, his outfit had clearly not been made by her hands and she itched to fix it. With long deliberate strides she walked over to the boy and pulled a chair up to sit next to him. "You play Violin?" She asked wanting to start a conversation before ordering him to let her fix his pants. If he would be performing for the royal family it had to be done in only the finest attire "I wish I could play an instrument, but I fail at music. According to many I could strangle a cat and It would sound better than my attempts with a bow." She laughed and tilted her head to the side, eating a few more grapes out of her open hand.

Jewlet delivered the lest order. She looked at the letter with her name on it. Openning it carefully, she began to read the letter. Her mind was quite in shock because of the letter. She pondered over it for sometime and nodded her head. She placed the letter in a safe place and headed for her mothers. 'Mother is going to love this.' She walked at a fast pace knowing there was not much time.
Once she was at her mothers home, she was greeted by one of her mothers helpers. The girl quickly pulled her in. "Jewlet, put it on please." Her mother said in a cheery tone. Jewlet did as told and fout it to fit almost right. "Hm." Her mother and her mothers help began to fix it to where it fit right. Unluckly, it was a long one. Once that was done, just little fixes were needed. "Done." Jewlet mother said with a smile. "Your look very lovely in that dress."
"Thank you mother." Jewlet responded and the took the letter out and handed it to her mother. She watched as the woman read it.
"Oh! This is great, Jewlet!" Her mother then looked at the name. "This name is..." But she then dismissed it. "Alright, lets fix up you long hair." Jewlets mother lead her to a chair and made her sit down. This was jewlets most hated part, the fixing of the hair, but a lest it would just be tied up and not in some very fancy up-do.

"Oh...It took me years of practice before I was able to play properly..."

Alexander knew who this person was; she was in charge of clothing for the castle's royalty, though Alexander had no clue why she was bothering him. Alexander didn't know much about the Keeper, but he assumed she only pay attention to those who got the money to afford her wares or attire.

"What brings you to speak to me? I'm sure they're more important people around the castle you would rather speak to then the Minstrel."

Alexander could only assume so many things she was here talking to him: Maybe she was going to ask where his mother was or why he was wearing something so horrible. Alexander wasn't around in the castle long enough for her to know him and even then she wouldn't even know him since servants didn't get to visit the Keeper of the Wardrobe for clothing unless they got a gift for excellence services to the King, which Alexander didn't get yet for an odd reason even though he had been playing excellent music every week he was at the castle.
