DMC Sailor Quetzálcoatl, Senshi of Cataclysms

Quetzálcoatl stared up at the giant monster as it forced it's way through the large rift the monsters had been trying to get to. She stepped back in fear of the titanic monster, she had no idea monsters could get that big. She also didn't know how they could defeat something of that size. As a gale force wind much stronger than her own magic raged around her the smaller monsters and even some of the crowd began to attack the huge monster.

Quetzálcoatl swallowed her fear and steeled her resolve as she rushed to attack the giant monsters with the others. She had to help bring down this monster. She called on her magic to bring her storm to batter the monster. Surprising to the young Dark Mirror Senshi the monster soon began to fall. It seemed that the combined assault of the group and the monsters was having an effect on the giant.

Soon enough the monster fell its crystal shattering and clearing the way back to Destiny City, Quetzálcoatl knew she had to move fast to get back however because the rift was closing. She moved fast putting all of her effort into running as she raced for the rift back to safety.

Howling Doom Storm
Quetzálcoatl calls out the name of her attack as she holds her hand up in the sky a violent and cataclysmic but localized storms forms over her. Wind and lightening strikes at one of her opponent. If hit by the lightening her enemy feels the sensation of minor pain, including first degree burns, for the duration of the magic. Players can choose to take damage that persists after the magic ends if they prefer.

Super Sailor Beira, Senshi of Loneliness

Oh, she was horrible. Craft, quick witted, but horrible.

Beira would have helped her even if she wasn’t using him as a launching board, but he supposed this worked too. For her.

The force of her kicking off of him sent him stumbling back just slightly, and if it weren’t for the wind buffeting his back he might have fallen down.

…She was getting closer to the exit, though.

He wasn’t going to get stuck here.

Even with all of the hectic movement around him, he was going to get out, too. He didn’t see anyone else that looked like they needed immediate help, so he focused on himself.

The giant was down–thankfully–so he didn’t have to worry about how they were going to get past it but…

There were all these other monsters–and the only way out looked like it was shrinking.

-

Starlight, Squire of Polaris

“We can get another one,” he insisted quickly. Like, he definitely knew where to find them. And he wanted to get out of here, fast.

“I’m okay.”

Just, jumping because there were monsters, and–even if they seemed like they’d been distracted for now he wasn’t going to get reckless. “We have to go. I see a way out.”

He grabbed her hand tightly and began to pull her as fast as he could towards the exit–past the monsters, past the dissolving giant, past the trembling ground beneath them.

His ankle hurt; it rolled once while he was running and he almost went down, but he quickly caught himself and kept pushing on. It didn’t matter if it hurt–they just had to get out of here.

Yomi-no-kuni, Squire of Saturn

Yomi was fighting the monsters when that terrible wind began to stir he had to cover his eyes to keep the force of the wind from blinding him. He turned to look at the large rift just in time to see a titanic monster force its way through into the dimension. Yomi realized fighting it was not the best idea, no getting out the realm while the smaller monsters were busy swarming the giant one with the crystal.

He looked around for a rift to step through back to Destiny City. He began running towards the first rift he saw, out of the corner of his eye he saw the flying monsters attacking the giant one as well as some of the crowd that had been brought there. He saw the giant begin to fall as the crystal shattered. The monster began to go after the shards and the rifts began to close. Yomi redoubled his efforts and raced through the rift back to the relative safety of Destiny City.

Meninx, Squire of Mars

“Not dead yet,” Meninx answered but sounded like he definitely could have been doing better. The ground seemed unstable, even when he pushed himself up on shaky legs.

…He wasn’t so sure that he’d be able to claim that for much longer though, not if the monsters kept swarming.

Not if the portals kept shrinking.

It took a few seconds for him to look around the platform and figure out where he wanted to go, but it wasn’t like there were that many options. There was one portal. Past the giant. Past the people, past the monsters. His head was pounding but if she was fine, he was going to have to be, too.

“Look, I don’t know what’s going on–” And she didn’t seem like she knew what was going on, either. “–But I’m really not going to stick around and find out. Are you coming?” he said, and took a few steps forward before he paused to make sure she could come.

…He wondered if the world was spinning as much for her as it was for him.

Dark Mirror Eternal Sailor Acubens

Later on, Acubens would weep over the bravery of her team. She would hold them all close and tell them how proud she was of them. Even Morpheus who had been so suspicious and distrustful of her at first. Yes, she decided in the back of her mind, she'd embrace him too if he'd let her.

But that was for later, and she had to hold herself together for now. She ran with them instead, channeling the knot in her throat into her legs as she did so. Still defenseless as her held onto the senshi on her back, Acubens relied on her team without question to do the bulk of the work.

As the creature fell and the crystal on it's chest shattered, Acubens faltered. The hold on her that the crystal had did not weaken... in fact it only got stronger. The crystal was within reach. It was accessible. It was hers for the taking. It was only Protogenia shifting in her back that brought her back to her senses. The crystal could wait. It had to. She had to get everyone else out and then maybe she could go back for just a little bit of the crystal.

[SENSHI] Anniliese Mathieu//Super Sailor Tjilaki

Tjilaki reached out and squeezed the other senshi's hand. "Deal. We are getting out of here one way or the other." She was just so fed up with all of this. She wasn't so sure about fighting both the monster and the gargoyles but after seeing that she wouldn't be alone. Seeing that she wouldn't be fighting on her own and that she had support was what made her change her mind.

"Yes I do feel...." She didn't get to finish what she was going to say. The monster was falling. She guess the others that were trapped here and the other creatures had something to do with it. The monster feel one the ground and the big crystal came down with it.

She looked up at the opening where the monster once was to see the hole was closing. "I think we need to get out of here before we end up here forever."

Captain Atheneite

Atheneite was absolutely delighted with the situation as she continued to fight the monster she felt a surge of adrenaline with every cut and scrape she received and every slash or stabbing she delivered. She felt the violent wind whip through her body threatening to knock her down as she grit her teeth making sure to stay on her feet. Then the huge monster arrived and Atheneite felt like a fire was lit inside of her. She needed to fight that monstrosity. She needed to drive her spear deep into it's flesh and see the color of it's blood.

She turned away from the monsters who seemed equally as uninterested in her as they also raced for the huge monster and more specifically for the giant crystal that seemed imbedded in its body. She raced for the monster slashing and stabbing at it's legs. She continued her assault almost manic, she wanted to kill this creature not only for her own personal satisfaction but for the energy she could sense coming from it. Soon enough her wish was achieved as the monster crumbled under the combined assualt of the monsters and the other individuals who had chosen to fight it.

She watched as the crystal shattered and the small monsters swarmed the shards. She was tempted to follow suit but then she noticed the rifts were closing. If she stayed she might be trapped here forever. That thought sobered her up and sent her racing for the rapidly closing exit.

Rainier - Page of Mercury

Rainier watched in stunned horror as the large giant fell and the crystal in its chest chatted upon impact. The ground rippled beneath her, threatening to send her toppling into the Knight again if she didn’t shake off the disorienting sensation.

It was like being on a cruise in open waters and she, for one, did get seasick. Fortunately, the only waves here were the gargoyles swarming the fallen behemoth of a monster or flying towards the rifts.

The Rifts- she watched in horror as not one or two… but four of the smaller tears closed suddenly while the passageway the giant had been seemingly guarding was becoming noticeably more narrow. Some of the monsters fled, either seeking refuge in Destiny City or to keep them from leaving. Either way, Rainier was not inclined to stay in this chaotic place of rubble and ruin.

“Don’t need to ask me twice,” she stated, and from her wrist, she pulled her weapon, revealing a fiberoptic wire that attached it to her uniform. “Let’s get out of here.” Acrucis hadn’t been forgotten, but given the situation at hand, all she could do was hope that the Senshi of Prayer hadn’t been pulled into the Rift and was still safe where she’d left her.

Corrupt Tristan, Senshi of Trust

Of course they could get another one. That…that was a stupid thing to worry about, and Tristan knew it was stupid but.

She was more than a little shaken up.

The corrupt gave no protest when Starlight began to run with her, and finally when she managed to get back to her own mind she began to run a little faster. “Okay. Yeah. Wow. This. I wasn’t expecting any of this. Does this kind of thing happen often in this city? I mean. I know it’s a battle zone sometimes but…this is a little insane.”

When he stumbled she tried to catch him and after a moment reached over and tugged him onto her back. “You stumbled and now you’re limping a little. I’ve got you, Starlight. I’ll get us both out of here.”

Maybe he wouldn't have stumbled if she had been paying more attention, if she hadn’t been so utterly shell shocked by everything that was going on but.

But it wasn’t the time to focus on that. It was the time to get out of here, to get back home and then to catch their breath and wait until the terror passed and they could laugh about this together.

“We should make plans to meet up again, I can bring more eclairs. We can work hard to just make sure that we don’t get sucked into any more strange wormholes, okay?”

Tristan adjusted her grip on Starlight and continued to run, her eyes focusing and locked on one of the rifts.

They were going to make it.

They were going to make it and everything was going to be okay. They were going to be okay.

Corrupt Super Fulgurite

The monsters swarmed the crystal, and between all the attacks from them and the monsters alike, the giant monster fell. Fell, and pulled.

Nothing really surprised him anymore, and yet, there was something about pulling a whole hole in reality that still gave him pause. It was a good hole, it let them leave, but it also seemed like it could let whatever these smaller monsters leave. Some were paying attention to the fallen larger monster--dimensional god evidently--but others were looking at that exit way too closely.

The last thing Destiny City needed was more creatures causing problems. Between their own youma and their own agents and whatever the dark mirror or the white moon did--although on their part, he suspected not much, considering Sylvite now Nectaris--that was plenty enough. Fulgurite knew he needed to leave, but before he took that exit, he entrapped a few more struggling monsters in a ball of freezing water, as was his specialty.

Hopefully, that held them up long enough...

Well, he was more interested in living, and he had a feeling that waiting around much longer to make sure they didn't escape only guaranteed his own death, and to be honest, if he was going to die, in an inky dimension where Orah and his dad had no chance of finding him ranked just as low as the Rift and its anglerfish youma.

It was that thought that accompanied him right out of the portal back to the city.

----------------------------

Super Sailor Hydor

It looked like Hydor was going to get his wish.

Well, one of them, anyway. The giant monster was going to stop. Its attacking fiends weren't really doing the same, swarming as it stumbled and fell, seemingly after something in particular. Whatever that ******** crystal was, probably...

Wait.

Did that giant thing just tear its way through time and space? ********, Hydor wished he could do that. Could have already left this dimension he had gotten randomly sucked into, honestly. Hopefully, wouldn't need to deal with people either, or the monsters now trying to swarm to get out and chase what was left of what they had been trying to get at.

Were those ******** gargoyles? They looked like the statues he had sometimes seen on older buildings and reminded him of one that had appeared a few years ago. He hoped not, the youma were irritating enough, and he had no interest in adding a thing he couldn't even sense as s**t to watch out for on his ******** patrols. At least youma had the thinly there courtesy of being sensible. But what the hell were these, then, if they came with no detectable aura? Didn't seem to be Chaos--

Would the gargoyle monster things get away from the portal? Hydor didn't want to beat through them to get home.

Not that he had much of an option.

Son of an a**. Alright. He didn't really want to get stuck here or find out what happened when a shadow dimension full of gargoyles fell apart so--

"Get out of my ******** way!" Hydor shoved one or a few of them, which was surprisingly cathartic and easy when he was no longer on their radar. It made it a bit easier and faster to make it to the hole in reality that the big monster could apparently just tear. What the ******** was it? -- did it matter? enviable ability or not -- he jumped out of the hole and left this strange experience behind just as quickly as he had entered it.

Felt like he had dodged a bullet, there.

Cadet Vaylin

Vaylin ran with the others for the quickly closing rifts, at least the largest monster had fallen it's crystal shattered into countless fragments. The smaller monsters seemed too preoccupied with the shards too chase after the escaping crowd. Vaylin prayed everyone made it through the rift in time.

She wished she had a firearm at this moment, melee was her preferred method of combat but at moments like this she felt truly helpless at least if she had firearm she could provide covering fire like Vyn was. But now was not the time to think about that, she could think about how to make up for her short comings in combat later, now she needed to focus on escape and making sure no member of the Vanguard fell behind. She raced through the rift back to safety.

Sparrow Riley
Loathe as ze was to admit it, this guy was saving zyr life (probably, anyway), so when he pulled Sparrow to zyr feet, ze stopped openly complaining. Thanking him out loud was a stretch too far, though.

Chrysocolla's magic - burned. It was the emotional equivalent of acid reflux, zyr mind not sure if it should turn that aggression outwards or inwards or inbetween -- ze doubled over, clutching zyr arms so tightly zyr nails were leaving pale indents in zyr already-pale skin. It wasn't fun. It wasn't anything but painful - it was too hard to think, only just enough self-possession retained to remember ze was civilian and mortal right now, and running into the fray would be ill-advised -- but it hurt like a b***h all the same, desperately trying to claw away that self-righteous fury that would just get zem killed.

Corrupt Eternal Chrysocolla
Good! That was good. It was so nice to watch it hit people, watch them shift and change under their own skin, their minds betraying them: she was immune, because it was her own magic, and she'd never had to worry about it hurting her. There was a Dark Mirror Senshi with over a foot on her who it hit hard, he was almost slavering with the rage, abandoning all magic and delving in fists-first: she respected that, as much as she was going to respect some basic senshi who she could throw through a window without a second thought.

And the two behind her, of course, but who cared about them? They weren't anyone. Except maybe the Corrupt could be hers, if she tried, because... she needed to start making her name, sometime, if she wanted Laurelite to look at her the way she wanted to be looked at. Like she was competent, and special, and something new. But she'd think about that later.

But Kamacite - that was his name, right? She was pretty sure that was his name - was calling some sort of command, and it didn't hurt her to follow it; she drove her elbow back into the skull of one monster without looking and kept going from there, just kept going, just kept going - it was easy. It was simple to relax into the rhythm of that violence.

Dark Mirror Super Narcissus of Rejection

If Nataniel was surprised by Narcissus' adrenaline-fueled strength, it was nothing compared to the shock and horror Narcissus felt himself. Nothing he or Nataniel had done had helped them e space at all, and it just painted in stark relief how worthless Narcissus was in these situations. He'd wanted Rakovanite here- still wanted Rakovanite here.

But it didn't matter how helpless they'd been, because the end was in sight, right there! They just had to bolt for it.

And as much as Narcissus wished it wasn't true, he couldn't carry Nataniel that far- or anywhere. "W-w-we're..." His teeth chattered, breath stuttering out of him so roughly that any attempt at speaking was even less fruitful than usual. It was always especially bad when agitated. His mouth absolutely could not get any words out, even if his mind was screaming that they were going to run as hard and as fast as they could until they reached that rift, and then if they collapsed immediately after, fine. Narcissus would care for these wounds and hopefully nothing would pop out right behind them and snatch them back into the void. They just had to make it that far- just that far-!

But he couldn't say all that, so instead he just squeaked and stammered out a pitiful, "R-running- run."

His grip locked hard around Nataniel's risk, and Narcissus took off with every single ounce of his power. Rakovanite could outrun him without breaking a sweat, but Narcissus could outrun Nataniel, and they were not going to be separated. Narci used everything he had to sprint and drag the heavier man behind him.

Lieutenant Feldspar

There weren't really that many reasons Feldspar could conceive of to fight for survival, but Weissite standing there looking at him, trying to help and protect him- Well, it was a good enough reason, anyway. Feldspar wasn't exactly keen on being another loved one's dead body on his friend's hands...

He let Weissite help him up, and despite feeling like a horrific burden, he also allowed Weissite to hoist Feldspar up on his back. Yeah, it was embarrassing, and yeah, Feldspar wished he was a faster, more coordinated runner, but at least he wasn't delusional.

He didn't try to insist that he could make it on his own, and he didn't try and tell Weissite to go on without him.

Given that he wasn't going to do either of those two things, this was just... the best option.

He thought to apologize: 'I'm sorry I'm not fast enough. I'm sorry I'm broken. I'm sorry you have to do this. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry...' But a needle of defiance reared its ugly head, and Feldspar forcibly reminded himself that literally none of this situation was his ******** fault. He wouldn't be here if he didn't have to be. So he didn't apologize, just hooked his arms around Weissite's shoulders and his legs around the other's hips and instead said, "Dinner's on me after this, right? I love you so much, man. I'm so glad to see you. So glad you're alive and okay..."

Page Sawtooth of Saturn

He kept what he could off of them, away from the two people he cared about more than the entire ******** universe. The creatures were faster than him and could fly, which was generally more problematic than their ferocity. But Sawtooth didn't care if he was hurt, if it meant Regal and Zero had to face one less monster. Claws shredded the heavy fabric of his coat, pierced skin where they connected, but at least these little thingies weren't that sturdy. If he was agile enough and fast enough, Sawtooth could snatch them right out of the air as they flew by- snag them by anything he could grab, and then whip them into the ground.

He'd do it as many times as it took.

And it was... many times... The enemies were endless, how were they gonna get out of this mess...? The answer was probably that they wouldn't have, if the massive central creature with the crystals hadn't torn them an opening right back to the city in all its desperate flailing. And then it was going down, fast.

Sawtooth turned back quick, stumbling a few steps away before whipping around. Zero's glyphs had imbued him with speed, and he needed that more than ever. They glowed as he passed over them, and he snatched up Regal's arm in one hand and collected Zero tucked beneath his other arm.

"C'mon!" He shouted over the commotion. "If we don't beat it now, I don't figure we'll get a chance to later!"
