Feralis hadn't quite been expecting the reactions of Little-tooth from his own barrage of blows. From a dodge of his left hook by moving his body back to a block of his uppercut and his kick; stopping his kick before he could really get some momentum to add onto its power. He had to admit, begrudgingly, that Little-tooth seemed to know what he was doing in this kind of fight. 'Is this his own specialty?' He wondered to himself as he was momentarily finished with his own assault, and trying to think quick of what to do next, when Little-tooth seemed to take it as his chance to attack. Shark boy would then execute three fast blows to Feralis' chest; not being able to block the fast strikes in time as his black aura would flash from the blows and he would grit his teeth a bit. Holding firm in the assault as his mind was trying to keep up and he focused on being the defensive; just in time to block the uppercut and see the guy going for a direct punch to his face. Thinking quickly, Feralis would seem to collapse on himself when he was really dropping into a crouch rapidly to dodge the punch to the face. 'This guy is fast.' He thought to himself silently. While his blows weren't too powerful, in Feralis' mind, he was able to react and attack quickly. It seemed like it would be a match of strength versus speed. "Let's see if you can handle the power of a wolf!" Feralis would say as from his crouched position, he would try to spring himself into Little-tooth's abdominal region. Hoping their close proximity meant he wouldn't be able to dodge, Feralis' plan was to take both of them over the edge and down onto the ground below.
If it worked: Feralis would keep an iron grip on Little-tooth to make sure he couldn't escape, intending to slam him into the ground below with him acting as a cushion for Feralis as well. Assuming he kept the grip and could capitalize, he would try to keep the guy pinned beneath him and wail on him with punches. Maybe even going so far as to have a headbutt or two tossed in to keep the guy disoriented.
If it didn't work: Feralis would miss his mark, barely stopping himself from going off the platform/ not being able to push Little-tooth off, and would instead try to focus on sweeping on the guys legs with a sweeping kick followed by trying to knock the guys legs out from under him with his own arms and strength. After hitting his most successful combo Maokai felt proud of himself, his already smiling face became even larger, while Feralis blocked his uppercut Maokai said with a smirk ”you are facing the fastest shark around, get ready” but while he said it he took his guard down, giving Feralis the perfect opportunity to grip him and drop them both down from the stage. On impact his Aura flashed blood red as Feralis continued his assault, hitting 3 punches before Maokai finally got his composure again “oh knock it off!” he said before deflecting the forth punch and grabbing his arm and bit down on it, not enough to make real damage, but enough to hurt like a b*tch, using this opening he created to loosen the grip and springing back up while attempting to hit an elbow to the chin on the way up “sorry about the chip shot but its honestly the only way I could get out of this, you caught me real good there but I won’t let that happen again” his smile came back on his face as he went back into his stance, ready for anything Feralis will dish at him. "Would you like some candy Noah?" "Remember that gives me a sore stomach Nova... " "BOOOOOOORING!!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - - Nova Primrose & Noah - - Nova's eyes opened to what was a pitch black room, the lights had all gone off apart from one in the distance. The girl followed it as she covered her eyes slightly, the light becoming brighter as she got closer, "Is there someone there?" she would yell slightly, looking around she would become slightly nervous as to where she was. "Noah.. where are you?" she would stop and look around for her companion. Nova would feel her chest in the darkness, and for some reason couldn't find a heartbeat, she would then feel around her chest in a panic as she couldn't feel or hear her wolf companion anywhere - the tie appeared to be broken, her breathing became erratic until she heard a voice say 'hello' a few feet in front of her.
Novas eyes were filled with worry, however she would stop breathing as she looked up at the figure - it was Jessica. Nova stared at her for what felt like an eternity, "Jes-Jessica?" she would question as she took a few steps forward. Jessica was standing near the light, Nova let out a smile in relief as she reached her hand out to take hers and pull. "The others will be so relieved to see you're alive!! I can't believe you-" she would stop suddenly as her hand went right through Jess's hand, making a noise as she was evidently surprised and upset. Nova would look up at Jessica, tears starting to form under the girls eyes "I can't do this... we started this together.. I - I can't.." Jessica would put her hand out to Nova, a smile on the girls face "You can do it, don't give up.. you think I want to watch you fail?" she would say, that grin on her face that Nova always like to see, it meant they were going to cause chaos together - something Nova used to love.
Nova would begin to sob, wiping away the tears as they just continued to flow down her cheeks. "What will Ivory do? He adored you..." she would say as she continued to weep, "Feralis, he's left with two members of his team he hates!" she would yell, falling to her knees as she smacked her fists on the ground as hard as she could. It was only seconds until Jess was down beside her, continuing to smile "The fire inside you will light the way for the team.. you can do it" she would say. Nova would slowly calm down, and just as she would raise her head up to look at her, she was gone. The world would light up around her and she was back in the arena, taking part in the match from before. She was too late however, and she was brought back to just as the young students fists collided with her stomach, sending her flying back a good few metres, smacking against the ground as she went. On the second hit, she was able to absorb some of the damage with her aura, however she took a bad beating from the attack.
She would lie on the ground, trying to get her breath back. Looking around she couldn't see anyone, apart from Noah who was barking extremely loudly to gain her attention. He would race towards her, glaring his teeth at the student who stood still for a second. Nova would sit on the ground on her hands and knees for a few moments, her breathing becoming stronger as blood came from her nose. Noah went to defend her with an attack however Nova placed her hand out in front of him, "No.. I can do it.. give me a chance.." she said, struggling to completely gain her breathing back. Noah would whine however stood back, allowing the battle to be theirs. He knew this was only a sparring match, however the student fighting Nova evidently had it out for her, he wasn't fighting to just hurt, he wanted to kill.
Nova would focus herself as she was on the ground, she would close her eyes and stay silent as the student became impatient. He yelled at her, "Alright then.. I'll just kill you when you're down!" he shouted as he raced towards her again, his fist in the air ready to punch her in the face. "I want to be able to protect them all.." she thought to herself, and just as his fist was about to connect Nova would do something astonishing. With her sharp reflexes, she would move her head out of the way of the hit and swipe her leg under his, taking him off of his feet, within the same move, Nova would end up behind him and smashed him in the back with a powerful kick from her right leg. The boy would make a groan as he flew forwards, into the ground also, right on his sorry face.
Nova would return to standing up, a glow would overcome her for a brief moment as she would then smirk towards the boy. He had a hard time getting back up, however managed to. He was evidently shocked at the counter attack, and even more shocked by the sudden change in her attitude, she would stand ready, appearing more confident than ever before. "People of my clan don't understand failure, and a pathetic hothead like you isn't about to change that.." she would say, angering him even more. He would yell as he raced for her, another attack with his fists aimed for her chest.

{[Cecil Roydon]}
α в ¢ ∂ є ƒ g н ι נ к ℓ м η σ ρ q я ѕ т υ ν ω χ у
With a good night off for once after the time spent in Survival class thanks to Azura, Cecil had asked the teachers earlier in the day to borrow the arena for some training, offering anyone else to join in. He had spent some time already, swinging in the air to get used to the weight of the current Reiterpallasch, the arena having been turned into a forest to give him a clear idea of combat in a obscured area. He collapsed the Reiterpallasch into a short blade, swinging it quickly at one of the trees, timing his aura each time as he was taking the lessons from the first aura class he had. Each cut, had left it's mark and with the shorter reach, he had to be almost personal to the tree for each slash to count. The people who had left for the other mission on his mind as he wondered what the mission was about when he heard something click. It was the obvious set up for targets as he brought his left hand up, conjuring an Ice Crossbow as he swung it around, shooting a quick 5 shots in a row with a back-handed attack. It didn't do well as each icicle that shot out hit a branch or missed by a wide margin, all failing to hit the three targets hidden in the branches.
"Tch..... I need to work more on my attack accuracy when relying on my reflexes..." He told himself as he stood up straight, looking down at his crossbow. He then looked to the reiterpallasch as he flipped it around and stabbed it into the ground before he soon closed his eyes. 'Or maybe I'm over thinking my attacks..... I should be more reactive to anything that pops up and start focusing on my body rather than hoping my reiterpallasch will help.' He thought to himself before he opened his eyes, dashing towards another tree as he took a hard right step, following with a low duck as he stepped forth. He bright his left hand out, striking the tree hard with an aura-covered fist, grunting as he punched the bark but the tree itself shook slightly. The icicle he shot into it wriggled out from above, falling towards him as he pulled his left hand back, bringing his crossbow up and shooting the icicle above, breaking both and causing it to rain ice dust upon him before he shattered the crossbow against the tree in another strike. The tree shook, and Cecil had finally noticed that his muscles had been slowly tightening, developing better than when he was in judo class and with that in mind, he brought his left hand and right hand before him. He flexed the fingers to that of curled claws as a memory played in his head. A book about fighting styles and martial arts teachings he read in signal, and one was sticking out. The style of the Dragon, of fluid movements and powerful attacks, he closed his eyes as he took a deep breath in, remember what he glanced over the books and moved his hands slowly.
The hands moved around, his aura slowly trailing behind them as he recalled how it was suppose to work and thast his attacks need to be fluid... hard to counter, and with his own semblance, designed for him. His eyes snapped open as his fingers curled into a proper fist before he thrusts both before him, hitting the tree hard and causing the bark to break, but he then swiped his hands out to the side, his head ducking low as more bark broke and claw marks were noticed in the tree itself, his hands had conjured his ice claws mid-attack and so suddenly, he was surprised himself. 'That's..... it! I just need to work on this style!' He thought to himself, jumping away as he looked to his hands, the sap-covered ice claws extending past his fingers as he smiled at the sight before he looked to the tree, bringing his hands up as he shook the sap off and onto the ground, a new idea in his mind in how he could fight and adapt his weapons to the situation, even if he knew the limit to how much he could summon at a time.

   ☠ 𝙋𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝘾𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕 ✗ 101 ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ☠ 𝑪𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 ✗ text x ☠ 𝙎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 ✗ text ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sinn would arrive the night before class, files in hands for the students of his upcoming class. His manner of walk, as he travelled the length of the arena, was methodical and practiced. This was not the first time he had walked it's length and perimeter, and it may not be his last depending on Professor Anderson. Her hiatus was yet to be determined, so he would treat this combat class as the start of many just to be prepared. Along with the files of his class tomorrow, he also had reports of the past classes Anderson had taught; both when it was just combat and when it was combat/survival class blended together. A lot of those classes, save the big Grimm battle, relied on people being at a disadvantage semblance wise or weapon wise. All valid lessons to teach the future slayers of Grimm, though he planned to do something different this time around. 'The students need to also learn how to use their own abilities to the fullest, as they shall not always be at a disadvantage,' he thought silently to himself as he reached the end of his circuit of the perimeter. It was an interesting mix for his class, especially given two of the students that would attend, primarily because of the variance in ability and what roles records seemed to say they filled. It was fairly evenly split; The frontline fighters of Narx, Aeralin, Aoibheann, Rey and then the more varied in ability Pyrve, Narky, and Danae. At least in theory; he trusted the dragons to grow formidable in time and Danae was no spring chicken given her experience. Depending how well his plans go, the class should be interesting and challenging for the students.
Circuit over, the current professor of combat would head to a podium and begin to mess with the controls for the arena. A wide display of terrains opened up to him, but he already had a particular one in mind. While appropriate environments could resemble that of Vale or even Atlas as was the current goal, he would choose a different one. An environment that all but three would be foreign too; even those three he was unsure would be accustomed to it. 'Let our nation and home not be forgotten, and our legacy one day reclaimed,' he thought quietly as he set the new terrain in the arena. His purpose was two'fold in this class; train the students to combat the Grimm and others to reclaim their home, and to ensure the future dragons would be ready for the harsh wilds of their homeland. He had to keep in mind the tournament and his own stake in this; he had to do as much as he could to preserve his cover and meet his own goals.
All students would get a message on their scrolls the following day that class began at sunset and to arrive with all their gear expecting full on combat. No dust allowed however. The students would find themselves in a arena full of sand; spanning across the entire region it would seem. The terrain for the day was desert; with dunes and everything. In truth, it was hard to see too far into the arena itself cause of the height of some of these dunes. The environmental controls would also be altered so they would feel the heat of the Vacuo deserts on a normal day; even if it were sunset and the temperature, along with weather, would be changing soon enough. They would also find themselves in front of Sinn (wearing the attire shown in the post format) who stood impassively watching with arms crossed and waiting for all of them to arrive. Once all who would show had gathered, and he would be told not to expect Rey, he would motion them to follow him into the desert and begin. "Now that you are all here, we shall begin the lesson. I am Professor Sinn, and I shall be filling in for Professor Anderson for the immediate future. I understand she has had a reputation and way of teaching this class; focusing on what to do when out of semblance, weapon, or both. That shall not be the case this class," he would say slowly and methodically, pausing for a moment as he looked everyone over. "This class, you all shall be unleashed to your full potential in a fight. You shall fight with aura, weapon, and semblance in tow; the only limitation is dust," he would finish while taking a breath. "To pass this class, you must give your all for victory. Should any of you be found lacking you will fail; treat this like an actual battle for your life. Given the numbers of students we have left, with the absence of Rey Yagi, we will be doing it a bit differently than planned. Rather than a free for all or Beacon team versus Beacon team, you will all be paired in duos. Danae and Aoibheann will be team 1, Narx and Aeralin will be team 2, while Pyrve and Narky will be team 3. In your duos, you must try to best and beat, or outlast, the other two teams. You have five minutes to prepare for the match; use it wisely," he would finish as they stopped in the center of the arena. Sand would shift and sink from there passing, and dunes standing tall, as they were left at "ground level" with tall dunes surrounding them.
During this time, he would walk back out from the sands and make his way to a spot he had picked out the night before; for part of the lesson he had not made them privy to. He would travel to the stands of the arena, taking out his baseball bat as he began to fiddle with something there. He would begin his own preparations, keeping track of the time and watching the students, before they all would hear an announcement. "Let the melee begin," would be all he said as they heard him over the loud speaker of the arena to begin the brawl.

Aeralin woke up to the sound of her scroll beeping as she got a message which seemed to be from the teacher of their class ’ so, bring Maha and myself at sunset, this should be fun she thought with a smile before slowly getting out of bed, she was quite tired from her experience lately as she sighed her way to the shower, she definitely wasn’t her usual excited self today. The day has passed after not too many things going on and the sun began to set which meant it was time, Aeralin picked up Maha and turned to her team “come on, we will be late if we don’t start walking now” she said with a small smile before getting out of the door, waiting for both Narky and Pyrve as they began making their way to the arena. Getting to the class Aeralin listened to the professor who introduced himself as Sinn, the more he talked the more her usual fighting spirit began to come back to her ’ fighting in a desert arena together with so many people?! Oh, it will be so fun!’ Aeralin practically squealed in her head before Sinn announced the teams, Aeralin immediately looked at both Narky and Pyrve with an evil Grin “round two huh Pyrve? Try not to lose this time. But most importantly have fun you two! I know you’ll make a great duo” she said as she walked towards Narx and shot her right arm at him for a handshake while her left hand held Maha “good to meet you, the name is Aeralin though I’m sure you know it already. Guess we have some time to plan out huh?” she said as she stretched a bit, preparing herself for the fight “there are a few things I can tell you already. First of all, my weapon is Maha” she said as she twirled it around “it does not have any different form like other weapons so keep that in mind for when we fight. The second thing is Pyrve’s weapon, it is an axe that can extend into a poleaxe, she knows how to use them very well and also uses a shield on top. And third, is Narky, his weapon is… a weird one and I am honestly not even sure how to explain it so watch out. As for their semblances… I am not gonna ruin their fun so you’ll have to figure it out on your own.” she said with a laugh “now let’s get this started!” she said excitedly as she grabbed Maha with both her hands, she clearly was looking at her other teammates, eager to fight them. Out Of Combat: let the fun begin! Post count: 61

 Aoibheann had recieved the message to arrive for class at sunset for whatever reason, so, she'd taken the day pretty easy as it'd mentioned to expect full combat. It would be her first time really all-out fighting so, she was a bit worried. Around five, she began to get her things together, suiting up in largely leather armor with rivets shot through the surface, the only solid metal covering her upper torso ina sort of half-plate armor design with small functional shoulder guards. Functional, though, probably less advanced in design than whatever her classmates might have. But, she really didn't have much option back home. She even had her survival shovel with her. W#hile she had toyed with the idea of a collapsing shield bracer, she hadn't really managed to finalize it yet, so, she left it behind. She left early to make sure she could find the place as she'd never been to the arena before, but, used the school map on her scroll to guide her. Arriving, she realized just how badly she needed to familiarize herself with the grounds as she only just made it as others were arriving.
The sudden change of environment as she entered caught her totally off guard and she wound up just staring around gawking in amazement until the instructor spoke up, bring her back to the moment and began to explain the course and what they'd be doing...including a rather peculiar aside about the usual teacher. When he began listing off the pairings, she wound up in the first...and had no clue who the other person was. She was about to raise her hand to interject, worried that her unfamiliarity with her classmates might be an issue, but, he then mentioned they'd have five minutes to get ready. With that in mind, she could definitely take a moment to figure out who her opponent was. When he walked off, her gaze followed for a bit before remembering they had a time limit. She honestly only had one thing to actively do as all her gear was prepped that morning and double-checked around noon. She needed to figure out who Danae was. The only other she wasn't certain about was this Pyrve. It sounded masculine to her, but, she only saw two boys.
Shaking her head, she knew she was just wasting time trying to sus it out. "Oi, who's Danae? I dunno many people ere yet." From the limited experience she'd had, she was aware those around here seemed to think she was aggressive due to her strong accent and was trying to dial it back a bit, though, she wasn't certain if it worked on this occasion. She looked around, trying to see who'd respond. She then heard one of the girls nearby introduce herself and the same had mentioned another with the name of Pyrve. Considering Aeralin was approaching another, she assumed he must be who she was paired with. That helped. Down to one guy and one girl. Taking her chances, she started heading for the owl girl ahead of her.

Danaë's eyes were closed when the alarm went off. Normally she was an early riser, but today, she just wanted to stay in bed with Narx. He had stayed with her as she was molting. He had seen her without eyebrows. That was so embarrassing. After the alarm went off a few times, she would hit it, and then get up to shower...honestly, she wanted a dust bath, but that was too hard to get at beacon. The only place she knew that had one was in town, and they didn't have time before they went to class. Maybe she would go after....She then looked at her scroll. Oh, they were having a night class? She could totally go and get a dust bath!
She'd plant a kiss on Narx's head. She would then write a note saying where she was going. Knowing him, he would want his morning training. The note read: "My beloved, I am going to go take a dust bath in town. Enjoy your morning workout, and remember to shower when you are done. Our class is close to night this time. I'll be back in about 3 hours. Love and kisses, Danaë."
She would then put on a what equated to a sweat suit for herself. She would make her way down to a shuttle going to Vale. She would find the public dust bath. She would pay a small amount of Lein, and would go rub herself and her feathers in dust. The dust would get out all the dirt from her feathers. It was nice and warm under them. It took her half an hour to clean herself, and preen. A nice older lady, a Paradise Whydah Faunus would her the ones on her back. Danaë would thank the lady, and provide the same service for her. Once she was done, she would start to walk back to the shuttle. When she saw an outfit in the shop. She couldn't help but think that it was better than her current combat outfit. She would buy it, and then go back to Beacon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The owl faunus would come in, wearing a red tube top, with belts covered in feather shaped daggers. On the side, you could see that she was wearing a pair of shorts, In the front, it looked like a skirt, with two nasty looking daggers on them. Her arms were uncovered, showing the multiple shades of feathers on them. On her shoulders seemed to be a cloak with a hood. On her legs, there were leggings, some feathers showing on her legs, but not as much as her arms. in the end, they ended in boots.
When she heard that she wasn't with Narx, she was about to complain until the human asked who she was. "I am Danaë." The tone in her voice was not a friendly one. She didn't want to be on a team with anyone other than Narx, and she certainly didn't want to fight against him. Maybe they could fight against the other team, and then...let the others fight against each other? "I say we fight against the white haired boy first." She was ready to pull up her hood and set off her semblance, to ambush the two of them.
  Frist came the message on the scroll. "Weapons and yourself huh? I guess I have to leave my dust pouches behind. That is totally fine. No trip. Just one less trick in my bag." Deep down, she felt like she was losing her element of surprise. It was what it was. It was the professor instructions and she would follow them. she went about most of her day like any other day because class wasn't until sunset. Coming back to the room after lunch, she would end up taking a nap.
Her nap was disturbed by Aeralin saying they were going to be late for class. She quickly got dressed in her uniform and thought everyone was coming because they were all in uniform. Grabbing her shield and axe, she left right behind Aeralin knowing that Rey and Narky would follow. Getting to class, it stomped her. They were in an arena and the terrain was the desert. When the professor introduced himself. something in her rang. She's heard the name before. Sinn...As of right now, she wouldn't put her finger on it. Right now, she wouldn't wreck her brain about it. She'd listen to what he had to say. They would be placed into duos and that Rey didn't show up. Looking around, she would frown. "Of course he didn't." She murmured. That was strike one right there. The only good thing was that she was paired with Narky. She hadn't seen him in action. This was her time to see what he was made of.
Pyrve would pull Narky off to the side. "Okay...I need us to think of how we are going to take these other teams on. We know nothing about their skills and fighting style...well expect for Aeralin. That is our teammate and we were in battle together." Then all of a sudden, she hears Aeralin just talking. Going off at the mouth. "Excuse you." Pyrve called her out. "I understand we are supposed to be going against each other, but where is your loyalty? I guess anything to win huh?" That was strike two. Shaking her head, she would just turn back to Narky. There wasn't a happy expression on her face. "I am going to win with honor. Therefore, we are going to take these 5 minutes to do the right thing."
Wing!! Dreams of pleasantries better than ever. A full on wish, and a partial destiny come into being. Narky was ecstatic these days. Forgetting one important task, the life of school, his team, and most of all, his recently discovered dragon lineage was overtaking his whole reason for actually being at the academy! This day was another just like that, where his attention was on other things, rather than one thing. For one thing, it was about adjusting to his wings. Ever since he had obtained them, he had been testing them out a lot, so much to a point that rather than sleep walking, he was sleep flying against the ceiling at times. Luckily, due to the excitement of classes, he was spared from waking up to having the same predicament happen all over again. By the words of his team preparing to go, and the message on their scrolls speaking of their weapons, Narky was rather prepared for this class... Somewhat. To hear it was combat they were taking, he had repeated that question on their walk to the arena, the short term sufferings of his mind effecting his social cues. Bundle that up with his current mood, he was all over the place. Scattered, if one wanted to word it correctly. Even as they were preparing for class, he had been impartial to the academy attire, almost leaving it behind. He went no where without his over coat on most cases, but just what was this gear they had spoken of? Had that meant he was allowed to bring a book, considering it was something he used? Worrying over such details wasn't really his thing, but the book was uber important!! After all, if he could break a pencil in aura class like a cookie (thinking faeries helped him,) and have the belief he summoned the water nymphs to save all the princesses from the minotaur (water festival, Autrox actually cleaning the labyrinths,) then he could certainly carry about a lot! Long as the poltergeists weren't trying to trick him, he was fine! Or was he truly? He hated having to combat things, more so being a pacifist. It wasn't in his nature to want to outright harm anyone. Hopefully there was a way of doing things during this class. That was the expectation at least. The sun setting down upon their arrival to class at least had that added comforts he could look forward to. It was very pretty...Not as pretty though, as what fate was going to hopefully reveal through the class. He was expecting for something to happen, but who know what exactly was going to enfold. Only by class time would he have found out.
"Oh!" The beginning of class, Narky had been fine, unrecognizing some of the students. Most he had no idea of, but there was one in particular he had surprisingly remembered. Still struggling with her name, he simply thought of her as Miss Aoi. Aside from her on the students, he had no idea who any of them were. The teacher however... There was no hiding the surprise in his eyes. Sinn!? Sinn was a teacher!? The man who helped them discover what they were!? Wow!!!!! Wanting to greet him to the utmost respect, the joy in his gaze had changed into a shocking fear as the way to pass class had been described. "F... Fighting in duos against each other!? That sounds dangerous..." Mildly weary to the idea, the one thing he was glad about was being teamed with Pyrve. He had yet to see how she fought, and was looking forward to also learning how to improve himself a bit under her as a partner. What of Miss Aeralin though!!! He didn't have the heart to fight such a nice person!! "Aw... Fighting Miss Aeralin!?" Not even thinking about the other teams, Pyrve had intercepted his thoughts by pulling him to the side. "Oi! Miss Pyrve!! I'm sure with the pixies to guide us, we shall do well, yes!?" Wanting to say more, his eyes widened, by her words, he forgot they were fighting Aeralin. Her points were too true on the others, which sort of ruffled him up a bit. "That is truly disturbing yes, but certainly we can try to find a way to figure them all out as we go. Miss Arealin we know most of..." Looking to the other teams, his attention had shot back to Pyrve, who called out Aeralin for giving stuff away on them. What!? Shooting Aeralin a look of hurt, he had unsheathed his own weapon, gripping the weapon nice in both hands along the grip. The fact she was unable to explain his to Narx, he hadn't caught that at all. Lead to more surprise for them a bit more. "I like the sound of that! Winning with honor... I am a bit unsure about Miss Aoi's skills, … That bird lady looking... Er... Inappropriate for class?" The outfit made him uncomfortable, but the cloak saved the look. Not used to the style, he more just brushed off his discomfort, flapping his dragon wings slowly to stretch them out. Five minutes sounds like enough time~. Please allow me to tell you a secret~!... ER... What was it again.... Oh!!" Leaning forward to Pyrve's ear, he was quietly telling her his semblance, as he had yet to even reveal that to anyone~. Now it was their secret~! "Lead the way as always milady~. I shall of course, ensure my best we win this!! I'll just pretend they are grimm... Th-that's going to help with this..."
   ☠ 𝙋𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝘾𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕 ✗ 102 ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ☠ 𝑪𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 ✗ text x ☠ 𝙎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 ✗ text ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As the students would converse amongst themselves and begin to plan their strategies, Sinn would be preparing for his end of things. The arena, much like in the water festival, had hidden speakers that allowed him to listen in on them a bit. Information on the battlefield was key, and with him as the orchestrator of this match, it would only help him keep things on course. It was interesting to hear what was being said so far; one person immediately told of her teammates proficiencies to her new ally. 'Use everything to your advantage; you never know when those you trust may turn on you,' he thought silently to himself as he fiddled with a machine to get it working. It reminded him of a decision he made long ago; one that he was only seeing the fruits of now. She did not reveal everything though, wanting things to be a surprise. Her decision to speak at all, it seemed, was not appreciated by her original team. 'And now they know how quick one of their own would turn on them. A valuable lesson while off the battlefield,' he thought privately as they would then speak more though Sinn was no longer listening to them. Hearing more now Danae and Aoib finding one another and suggesting going after Narkyena; 'It seems the dragons will have a fight on two fronts,' he pondered to himself as he finally got the machine he desired running and smiled in satisfaction. It seems none of them made a move yet, so he would have the satisfaction of making the first one; after he announced the start of it at least.
Those with a special hearing talent may hear the sound of a collision, though those without (even faunus) would not hear anything. One moment things seemed calm if tense as the contestants prepared...and the next a baseball went flying into the arena aimed straight at Narx's head [roll a d100, look at ooc to determine results]. For now, it seemed like a regular baseball; and would hurt like hell without aura if it caught him by surprise given the speed it had travelled to him. If it missed, it would form a temporary hole in the sand before slowly getting buried. "Consider that the signal for the fighting to begin. You'll need to contend with one another while avoiding artillery in the form of these baseballs. And to keep things interesting...you'll slowly be fed information about your opponents. Aeralin has horrible aim, so if you keep mobile she will have difficulty hitting you. Aoibheann is blind if you manage to get rid of her contacts. Do what you will with the information...And may the best team win." he would finish, leaving it up to them to also figure out who was who. He just gave the information; they were the ones who would need to figure out how to use it. Loading the next ball, he figured this first match he would keep it tame. The real fun would begin in a future round. Getting ready with the machine, a baseball would be thrown to him and he would hit it with his bat to send it flying towards Pyrve. He couldn't play favorites for class, nor would he; the dragon's must rise to the occasion and not have things handed to them if they were to fulfill their destiny.
Aeralin would chuckle from Pyrve’s reaction as she would smirk right back at her leader “I gotta keep things fair you know? Come on! It makes the fight much more fun when there are things you know of your opponent while they know some of yours” she said before looking at Narky’s hurt face as she herself pouted from it “oh come on Narky don’t give me that face, how will I ever betray my veggie burger buddy? It’ll be fun I promise” Aeralin said as the baseball flew right past her towards her fighting partner, she wasn’t looking when she heard the hit so she didn’t know if it was the ground or his face that was feeling the impact, Professor Sinn then told everyone about her horrible aim which she would shrug with a smirk as a reaction “see? He gets me, it’s much more fun like that don’t you think?” she said as she set her eyes directly on Pyrve “ready or not, here I come!” she said as she began to run towards her, pulling Maha from her back while on her way, and once she was close enough it was time to strike, she would swing Maha from above, whether she hit missed or her attack was blocked she would duck into a spin, attempting to swipe her legs with Maha as she finished two full spins, Maha would be swung low from right to left twice. Aeralin was hopeful her attack would be stopped by Narky’s efforts somehow, she was very excited to finally see him in action and couldn’t wait to see his powers for the first time, and the fact they will be used against her makes it all the better. Out Of Combat: 3 swings in total towards Pyrve, one from above and the other two to her legs from right to left. While she focused on Pyrve, the weapon would probably hit other people if they were too close. Post count: 62
 Aoibheann cast a side glance at the boy indicated, suddenly remembering him as that rather odd boy from the festival who thought they were going to be fighting...mermaids was it? He didn't really seem all that bright and a fairly weak starting target. Aeralin seemed a larger threat with that large weapon. Probably more at home in mid-ranged melee. "Aye, the lad seems a bit of an eejit though. Probably gonna feck it up himself. If we're gonna tag someone, probably a grand idea ta start with that Aeralin." Just then, she heard some sort of impact behind her, whether something hitting the ground, or another student, she didn't know right off hand as, almost a the same time, she heard the teacher speak up, indicating it was the cue to start, while also informing everyone of her own horrible vision. She was glad she went with her contacts today. The moment the impact hit, her sword was in her hand and her defenses were up. Frankly, she'd still been trying to figure out if they were teams, or paired fights. Only six, so, frankly, the latter seemed more likely and this Danae, with all her daggers struck her more as a striker style fighter. She could work with her, but, given the circumstances, she felt it a good idea to keep an eye on her as well. There wasn't much mass for the girl to attack with so, if she could get her barrier up in time, the impact would be minimal to her. But, she was also reasonably certain she was the most inexperienced fighter here, so, pairing up would benefit her. She began to rush for the indicated boy as they hadn't gotten far into the plan yet, her sword extending as she gripped it with both hands. If she got to him before anyone else took a shot at her, she'd swing up in a diagonal slash, following through with an elbow aimed for the sternum if he dodged the initial blow with practiced speed. She kept her eyes moving however and, if she saw anyone rush her, she'd take up the defense, melee versus melee, or activate her semblance if it was ranged.
 「 🄽🄰🅁🅇 🄷🄴🄻🄻🄷🄾🅁🄽🅂 」 "Revenge is a confession of pain" ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Narx had awoken to a letter from Danaë, she had gone off to get some special dust bath, well no matter he would do his regular exhaustive exercise routine and shower. Plenty of time to relax between then and the class.
Narx was very excited for combat class and toted his massive hammer, The Crawlin, over his right shoulder. It made his body look small in relation to it. He would look around and scan the arena as he walked in and took his place in front of the teacher. What a unique setup..." He said to himself quietly. He had never seen so much sand in his life, well, except beach sand, but the beaches in Vale didn't have dunes.
Narx normally wasn't paying attention in classes, but in a combat class his we very alert. Sinn would lead them into the desert without a word to them. Once the journey into the sand began the new teacher, Sinn would explain that their old combat teacher had been replaced with him. Which Narx couldn't help, but agree with. They would be limited on dust only, which wasn't a problem for Narx. He may work part time at a dust shop, but he ironically didn't really employ it as much in combat as he should. Narx was ready and excited to fight beside Danae, but then Sinn announced that the teams would be mixed up. He was with some dude named Aeralin? Someone he had never met. "Aeralin... Team two..." He said with a contemplative tone as he looked over towards Danae and shrugged as if to say 'oh well...' Sinn then walked off, giving them a few minutes to plan. "What the hell?" Narx said aloud. He didn't even know who his teammate was, and they only had five minutes?! Then a white haired girl approached with an out stretched arm, and a friendly look. He lowered his hammer and shook it. This was not a guy like he expected, but it was Aeralin as she introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you Aeralin, I am Narx." He took a good look at her poleaxe, it was quite impressive. "I like your weapon! This is mine, The Crawlin." Narx felt a bit panicked, they only had five minutes and needed to make good use of that time, but he couldn't think of what to say.
He stood there in the middle of the dunes with Aeralin thinking of what was good to plan."My semblance heals, otherwise I am a bit slow with my hammer but a heavy hitter when I do manage a blow. You look sort of aggressive? Maybe you can be the point and I can guard?" He was basically spurting out his normal strategy. Back to back, he guards, someone else hits. He hoped Aeralin would match with that strategy, if not he would be at a loss and just follow her lead. "Don't worry about getting injured, you can afford to be reckless with my healing, just don't get hurt where you can't make it back to me. Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll just follow your lead!" He said fast as he turned around to be back to back with Aeralin. His eyes looked nervously at Danaë, he wasn't actually sure if she was more or less likely to target his duo. On one hand he'd think she wouldn't, but then Aeralin was another girl, and he knew how Danaë worked, she seemed to want to target the other group though, this would make life easier. As he was planning a baseball came flying out of nowhere towards him, fortunately he was alert enough to see it and activate his aura, he didn't dodge it, he simply headbutted it. His aura packed an equal punch and knocked it into the sand. He watched it sink into the sand and seemingly disappear. Odd. He looked towards Sinn with an expression of confusion. They had to dodge... baseballs? They were hardly dangerous if you had the aura to defend. Then again, he had more aura then most and Sinn had a strong arm. If anything, this was advantageous for him he thought. Before he could do anything else Aeralin was running off to attack someone. He was surprised and stayed put for a moment too long before running after her, keeping a small distance, but protecting her back and keeping eyes out for would-be attackers.
Five minutes were up, and what a short time that had been before all chaos began to toll itself. It was all by the use of a baseball, going onway towards the student with the eyepatch, who had arrived with the lady bird! The sand beneath his feet had his attention from it's interesting textural shift of the grains against the toe of his shoe kicking it gentle. This was all while planning with Pyrve, until his focus had shifted towards Sinn, who had spoken on giving out information about all of them! Starting with Miss Aeralin, he was surprised to hear her aim was horrible. Next was miss Aoi, who was said to be wearing contact lenses. Like he was going to remember this! Certainly he could try, but Aearalin had brought up veggie burger buddies, which brought the smile on his face back to her. "You are right. But I believe we are even, if our teacher is telling us all. Let's have a good match!" That was his full intent on confident words to his team mate. Certainly that was going to happen straightaway.
Aeralin had taken no time to charge at Pyrve, her heavy weapon being swung as if it was made of paper. What strength~! Wanting to assist his team leader, he had a problem of his own going straight for him. "Oh!" Like a switch in his head, combat mode for Narky was a go. Poor Aoi and Danae thought he was an easy target, or more so, a weak one, but of course... They didn't know how his mind liked to play along like a tune to the urges of combat. A pacifist in heart, having to play for the rights of a true huntsman.... "I summon forth the strength of the strongest dragon!" More of a mantra than anything else, Narky had gripped his 2 handed brass knuckle, preparing story time to meet the sword! Aoi's diagonal slash was met with Narky heavy blocking the sword, more so taking the blade into the center of his weapon, shifting hard of the direction downward to the right away from them both. "Gah!" Though he blocked the sword, there was no dodging the quick elbow movement to his chest. Coughing hard from it, Narky hadn't even bothered trying to cover his mouth, coughing in the direction of Aoi's face. "Tch.... Sorry miss... Brace your eyes Miss Pyrve!" With a laugh, he unfolded his wings, before quickly bending his knees slightly, pushing hard upwards. Flapping hard and fast, Narky had went up into flight, attempting to take Aoi or her sword with him, if she couldn't pull it away in time. In doing this, he took advantage of the sand, kicking it up with his feet and wings in the process, trying to get majority of the others with the little tufts kicked up. With his 30 mph speed, he went up fast into the sky, hoping to keep out of harms way.
