The fluctuations in Reiatsu from different people registered on his mind, but it was not until the ground around Hei had burst, that Vesper’s gaze lingered on the resurrected Captain once more. This Captain was, to say the very least, dangerous, but there seemed to be two things that were impeding him at the moment – the fact that there was some sort of inner struggle going on inside and he had been dead for a while. Even coming back to life took quite a bit of energy. However, he put that out of his mind at the moment. For now, he would need to concentrate on his opponents, of which he was not intending to include the new arrival – a girl Captain, by the looks of it, and that Hollow/Shinigami’s daughter – and definitely, not Hei even if he had been weakened. He scanned over Black Star, Hibiki and Tadashi as his eyes twitched slightly in annoyance. This…Black Star, or whatever, was really being rather annoying at the moment, with his loud voice and troublesome manner. At least the others didn’t seem to put up too much of a fuss. As they debated over what to do and how they would do this, Vesper replied quietly to Cornix, “I won’t let you down now, Cornix.” He had been meaning to say more things, to make this occasion seem a little more meaningful but at that moment, Black Star had shot forwards towards him. “Idiot,” Vesper mumbled under his breath.

He teleported again, before appearing behind Black Star. There was no sign of effort in his movements, since his Spiritus had been restored, there was nothing for him to worry about for now. The power boost had been effective and he felt as if he would be able to continue, to be able to beat these Lieutenants. “Foolish, BLACK STAR!” he whispered before yelling the last two words and using Sonito to direct a powerful wave towards Black Star. It would be humiliating to be attacked with one’s own name, or at least, that was what he was intending for now. Teleporting again before the others could get a hold of him, he appeared a few feet away from his original position, a sorrowful look upon his face as he surveyed his enemies.

At the very appearance of Tsukiko she knew something was coming and without wasting any time at all she opened her mouth to release her Zanpakutou. "Kyooka." Instantly a mask formed over her face just seconds before Tsukiko shot forward with a slap aimed at Asami. The gravitational force exerted from Tsukiko's palm was caught by the mask and forced Asami backwards quite some distance, throwing her out of the field of gravity that Tsukiko quickly put up. "So the daughter comes to save the day." She chuckled as she spotted the two Exaequare began to fight once more since being healed. No use getting involved with the small fries. After a shorter scan of the area she found her lieutenant who seemed to be entertaining himself.

Suddenly she disappeared from her spot, appearing next to her lieutenant, the mask gone from her face. However no sooner than she appeared next to him Hei's insane reiryoku covered them, once again instilling a feeling of being choked with no way to escape it. After a few moments the feeling subsided and Asami was able to breathe freely once more. Taking in a deep breath just as her Lieutenant did just before he disappeared. With arrows coming her way. "Lovely." She said with a smirk as she released some of her reiryoku creating a circular area around herself with it, deflecting the arrows away from her. A smirk remained on her face as she looked to the Exaquare. "You seriously do not want to piss myself or my Lieutenant over there off." She said as she nodded towards Nana and crossed her arms across her chest.

"...He didn't hear a word I said," Tadashi muttered to himself. If Black Star did hear him, then he missed the part about them working together. Taking a fighting stance himself, he readied himself by taking a deep breath for one moment. Then, he flash-stepped near Black Star and prepared himself for Vesper's renewed assault.

Rolling his head around to look at Suzume as she began her thanks, he flashed her a wide grin, which quickly turned into an expression of pain as her foot met his shin after she quickly switched from giving thanks to yelling at her. "Ara? I don't think ya are, darlin'. I just have a hab- Aho!" He had started trying to explain himself to her, but he was cut off by his own insult towards her as she kicked him. His eyes bugged and his mouth popped open as a squeak of pain escape his mouth, just before he fell over into the grass and twitched comically while most of his body remained rigid. "Ahochauka... was only... bein' a gentleman." Twitching his left eye, he sucked in a breath before hopping to his feet and waving his hand from side to side in response to Daisuke's statement.

By this time, he was already watching Cornix fire an arrow towards Daisuke. "Ara, I couldn't possibly. I'm not strong enough." Though he made this statement, he quickly proved it to be either a lie or him being modest by shutting his eyes to Cornix's assault and snatching the arrow out of mid-air just before Cornix could change it's trajectory. Opening his left eye, he peeked at Cornix and spun the arrow in his fingers as Cornix fired more arrows towards himself and the others, most of which he dealt with head on by letting them strike his Heirro-like skin, make tiny puncture wounds that barely drew any blood, and then fall to the ground. Flipping the arrow to a reverse hold, he flicking his wrist backward, throwing the arrow towards Sokyoku Hill, but not before using Daikōshōshin on it to give it a delayed teleportation time.

His eyes then followed Cornix to watch him fire two arrows at Black Star, an act which Nanashi responded by smirking and letting out a laugh. "Non non, your opponent is me now, ya' arrow b*****d." With this, he teleported towards Black Star, stopping just in front of him and performing a back flip, accidentally using Black Star's face as a stepping stone to complete the flip, snatching the two arrows out of mid-air, though sustaining some cuts on his hands due the arrow's power. Once more, he applied Daikōshōshin to them both, flipped both of them to a reverse hold, and flicked them into the air, then landed on the ground, cracking his neck as he touched down. "Ararara. Stay with one opponent and stop dartin' around like a dumbass, it's makin' me dizzy. Or if ya like, both of ya could fight me. I don't mind, I've been needin' to flex my muscles for a while now."

Grinning widely, he looked over at Daisuke and unhooked Sōshin's saya from his back and flung it at the Lieutenant. "Ne, if you're tired, hold on to that for me." Nanashi's hand went to his headband and adjusted it, grinned even wider than before, baring his canines. Crouching, Nanashi put his hands out in front of him and rotated them over one another, then quickly snapped his hands away from each other, spreading his arms apart. All of a sudden, all three arrows he had thrown earlier vanished and, as per Nanashi's coordinate mapping, reappeared about a foot from Cornix's neck from three sides in a triangular formation. Each still held their speed and piercing power and were flying towards Cornix's neck with that speed, with the intent to stab him in the jugular from three sides. "Daikōshōshin: Shinkūidō."

Suzume was fuming inside at the moment, firstly from the fact that she had been literally saved twice by this long-haired punk and secondly, because of the fact that he kept on calling her things like darlin’. Nobody, nobody at all had ever dared to say something like that. Alright, people had called her ‘milady’ and ‘miss’ before, but that was out of sheer politeness. From this person, she was getting the feeling of impudence and to tell the truth, she didn’t know what annoyed her more – his sleek, flirting manner or the fact that he didn’t look that bad for a guy. She let out a frustrated and exasperated sigh, her attention completely diverted from her Hado at the moment, before she attempted to get herself back into line. Getting pissed off by this guy was not something that would help her at all. She narrowed her eyes and looked at Cornix as she noted the fact that her Kido had not worked. Maybe something stronger might be better. While Nanashi seemed to be fighting Cornix at the moment, she’d just join in for now. She called out, “Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens. Hadō #73: Sōren Sōkatsui!” Hopefully, that might either distract or hurt Cornix a little bit.

Tadashi watched with some amusement as Black Star's head was used as a stepping stone - funny, really, it could have been his head if he was in Black Star's place.

"Heh...he left before I could say thanks," Tadashi said to himself, referring to Nanashi. He could have, of course, flash-stepped out of the way like always, but this way he could keep focused on Vesper without having to switch positions.

Tadashi listened as Vesper somewhat emotionlessly insulted Black Star's name. What an odd thing for the enemy to say - that is, to suggest Black Star would have a life to live after this battle. It just seemed strange for someone who seemed ready to end their lives without much remorse to talk of the rest of his opponent's life. Another thing that Tadashi noticed was odd was that moments before, Cornix had forsaken Vesper and told him to die, and yet now they were cooperating better with each other. Tadashi had even felt sorry for Vesper at first, to have his life almost ended and have his partner give his blessings to such an end...this race of creatures was certainly strange.

"Hey, if you want, you can go charging in," said Tadashi to Black Star," but that's exactly what he wants. If you want your stardom, you have to be alive to bask in it. Why don't we attack together?"

Asami chuckled as Nana said he probably couldn't take both of them on. "Don't be so modest, Nana. You're in the eleventh, why don't you show them what you can really do?" She smiled and then turned to look at Vesper and frowned. "I'm sorry but..." She disappeared in the middle of her sentence, via shunpo, instantly appearing next to Nana. "Give everyone an entertaining fight to watch." She smirked as she simply stepped back a few feet. She wanted to fight, but these were small fries and she fully intended on going after Caelum and Dolor when Hei was in tip top shape once again, so there was no sense wasting energy here.

As she was stepping backwards she spun, turning in the direction of the hill and stopping, turning her head back towards everyone else. "I'll be back once the big fries are taken care of, Nana, you're in charge until I get back." She winked before returning her gaze to the hill and continuing her walk. She needed a good fight, she hadn't had one in awhile and she was starting to grow bored. She hadn't even had a sparring match recently, if anything it was possible that she was slightly rusty. She chuckled at the thought. It wasn't even a possibility considering she trained every day for hours.

Lost in thought it seemed that she arrived atop the hill in no time, moving to Tsukiko and Hei she placed a hand on Tsukiko's shoulder. "You act like you thought he wouldn't find a way to cheat death." She turned her head towards her now and smiled, showing a bright and heart warming face that was unusual for an eleventh division member, before removing her hand and diverting her attention to the battlefield her Lieutenant was on.
