Personality: Despite his ninja style background, he forgoes stealth by shouting and making people aware of his presence. Black Star seems to illustrate some form of superiority complex, due to his constant need to be known as number one. His blundering of stardom is so great that he constantly gives out autographs that nobody wants. Black Star loathes it when someone gets more attention than him and will show them who the real star is. Black Star is a very self-absorbed person. His favorite quote is "I will be the man who will surpass God", even though Seireitei has never hinted at having a god; he possibly means the Spirit King (which means he's shooting high up), and Black Star's favorite number is 1, what he considers himself to be. His hubris does not allow him to take insults on his abilities, such as belittling or cruel comments; which also exhibits some form of inferiority complex, making it so that he doesn't back down from anything, even if it's the Sōtaichō. All of his methods of going about solving anything are generally headstrong and dependent on physical strength. From time to time, he will abandon Tsubaki (his Zanpakutō) if she tells him to hold back or run away, which ends him up in a worse situation. This might come from people mostly seeing him as a child/kid still. He fights with honor and will do what it takes to defend or restore respect to any fallen friends. He will risk himself and put himself beyond his own limits to follow his own path. He is seen training a lot and despite trying really hard, he always fails at tests of intellect regardless of the significant amount of time he spends studying. He is also anything but a quitter. Though, since graduating from Shinōreijutsuin (Spiritual Arts Academy), he's noticed that he isn't going to be able to be number one if he's always going about shouting at the Sōtaichō or even the Taichōs. He is very focused during battles which makes him a formidable opponent.
Bio: Being birthed into the lowest parts of the Rukongai; Black Star's family was a big time criminal origination known as the Star Clan. These people were assassins and even killed for sport. They would kill someone in any district of Rukongai if they were payed the right amount of goods. Though, after these killings starting happening, Soul Society dispatched Shinigami to rid Rukongai of this thorn. Black Star was the only one who managed to survive, though at the time, he was an infant, so the Shinigami spared him. Black Star knew about his family as he grew up, and was often looked down about it. Some Districts would chase him out and even try to kill him. He was chased all the way to the 80th district, and even there he was not welcomed. He soon started hating how everyone treated him and would have out burst of how he was going to surpass God and make everyone understand his motives. Black Star was always more spiritually aware then other souls; he always felt empty to his stomach and had a problem with people choking and falling to their knees when they became angry and started harassing them. He was told he needed to join Spiritual Arts Academy to learn how to control his Reiatsu. After getting into the Academy, he never had good grades, he was actually always the lowest in his classes. The only good thing he was really at was controlling his Reiatsu and Kendo. After graduating, he seeks to join the First Division, since the number one is his favorite number.

He has a long scarf around his neck which sometimes gets over his mouth and he has to pull down with his index finger.

Zanpakutō Spirit Appearance: Tsubaki wears a pale yellow outfit with a skirt end that has a slit down the side with a bright yellow star on the chest. She also wears a dark brown scarf and a tight dark brown stocking on her right leg starting just above the knee and white boots.

Speed☆Star
Type: Activated/Sustained/Mental or Verbal Callout
By concentrating Reiryoku through his body, Black Star can excel in speed/Hohō exponentially, basically making him be able to run faster and causing him to appear almost out of sight of the carnal eye. His offensive and defensive capabilities are also increased in speed; allowing him to perform attack in quick succession. This technique can be used in conjunction with Air Walk and his own personal Trademark move.
Shield☆Star
Type: Defensive/Activated/Sustained/Mental or Verbal Callout
By channeling his Reiryoku through his Zanpakutō, Black Star is able to generate a shield by forming the chain of the Kusarigama into a star with the use of his Reiryoku and the aid of Tsubaki. The shield is strong enough to withstand a Gran Rey Cero for just a few second, or enough time for him to escape. Yellow Reiatsu pulses through the weapon as it's being used.
Trap☆Star
Type: Immobilization/Activated/Sustained/Mental or Verbal CalloutBlack Star can use this ability just be place the chain in a star pattern on the ground via normal means. Or he can use Speed☆Star to quickly lay it out. This Technique allows Black Star to sense anyone who enters into the area above, below, or around Trap☆Star. As soon as anyone enters the field, no matter how fast they are, the chain will hunt them down and try to entangle them in it. The capture strength of this ability is around Bakudō #63: Sajō Sabaku (鎖条鎖縛, Locking Bondage Stripes) strength. The difficulty of pulling this move off is very high.
Shuriken
Type: Offensive/Activated/Mental or Verbal Callout
By forming a hand seal with his index and middle fingers pointed outward, Black Star is able to create this Shuriken. It is a very large 5 point star shuriken that has a strong cutting force. Black Star is able to throw it very fast and very hard. With keeping his fingers in the seal stance, he can keep forming the shurikens for as long as he has enough Reiryoku.
Kemuridama
Type: Concealment/Activated/Mental Callout
By forming a hand sign with either hand using his index and middle fingers pointed out, he is able to cause a sudden burst of smoke to billow out around him for an escape. Anything in the smoke has it's Reiryoku and Reiatsu completely masked.
Dummy Star
Type: Activated/Mental Callout
Most often used with Kemuridama (smoke bomb), Dummy Star creates an exact replica of Black Star, it has the same Reiatsu and is identical in every way possible. It doesn't usually try to attack, but it will distract the opposition. When Dummy Star is destroyed, it'll turn into dead leaves.

Puppet Shadow
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Activated/Sustained/Verbal or Mental Callout
This ability is used by Black Star in his Bankai, to control his shadow, in order to conduct pincer attacks. In its transformation from simple shadow to puppet; the shadow extends forth from the ground and gains a large rounded head, connected by a narrow linear "body" with two similarly fashioned arms projecting outwards, each with three sharp protrusions acting like fingers. Despite its vaguely humanoid appearance, the puppet is a very simple construct. However, due to the dictation of Black Star's will it can conduct rather complex collaborative maneuvers, that are perfectly synchronized with the movements of those being controlled. The body of the shadow is highly reinforced, even being able to withstand attacks preformed by most weapons of Captain level with relatively no damage at all. When this quality is combined with the ability to alter its form at will, the shadow can be effective whether it is used in either an offensive or a defensive role. Although, there is one constant that the shadow must maintain no matter how it is manipulated, which is its connection with the ground.
Puppet's Rain:
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Activated/Sustained/Verbal or Mental Callout
By using multiple shadows created through the Puppet Shadow technique, Black Star is able to restrain his opponent, so as to conduct further attacks against his enemy without being hindered. This ability is only available while he is standing still, where he can produce the numerous shadows required. However; as the technique occurs in such a location, they can emerge from the ground anywhere in the surrounding area, making the attack even harder to evade. They try to pierce the victim multiple times.
Puppet Thrust
Type: Offensive/Activated/Verbal or Mental Callout
By folding the shadow created by the Puppet Shadow technique onto the blade of his weapon form, Black Star can create a far reaching and highly damaging thrust. The ability more specifically wraps the shadow's "arms" around the blade initially, creating a distinctive zigzag pattern. When this is complete the user proceeds to execute a sharp and sudden lunge, resulting in the shadow rapidly extending down and past both of the sword's edges, before combining to form a swiftly growing hardened blade. At full length, this shadow extension can reach several meters beyond the actual sword tip, while still retaining the power of the original thrust. To achieve such a powerful lunge, the user must first adopt a rather obvious sideways stance, that can indicate to the opponent the very nature of the ability before it is even conducted. This can give an ample opportunity for the enemy to prepare themselves for the attack, which due to its relative small and narrow contact area, can completely negate any potential to inflict damage. However, this can be easily compensated for through the subsequent use of the technique, Split Branches.
Split Branches
Type: Offensive/Activated/Verbal or Mental Callout
Immediately following the extended strike of the Puppet Thrust, numerous large spikes protrude outwards from the shadows body, in order to skewer the enemy multiple times at close range. Each of the spikes carries a significant amount of force as they extend, piercing through a opposition's flesh without much resistance, causing an amount of damage relative to how vital the area is that is hit. Unlike the preceding technique, this ability gives no indication to the target that it will occur. When this is combined with the positioning of the spikes, covering all directions, and its immediacy, giving no time to recover, the attack has an unusually high chance of success.
Shadow☆Star
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Activated/Sustained/Verbal or Mental Callout
By forming a hand seal with his hand and using Reiryoku while Tsubaki is in Bankai, Tsubaki is able to manipulate and possess Black Star's shadow, in order to form it into a whip-like entity. This is subsequently used to repeatedly attack the enemy, with the intention of landing multiple crushing blows, that are also capable of slicing the opponent apart. He must keep one hand in the hand seal while using this attack.
Shadow☆Star: Gathering Cutter
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Activated/Sustained/Verbal or Mental Callout
Shadow☆Star: Gathering Cutter is a more powerful version of Shadow Star, that can only be conducted due to if Black Star is standing still. Using Reiryoku while Tsubaki is in her Bankai, Black Star and Tsubaki manipulate any shadows cast by Black Star, using them, initially, to restrain the target. When the target is captured, Tsubaki will pull the enemy towards Black Star, who will subsequently make a large slash that cuts through the trapped enemy. This attack was strong enough to easily restrain and cut through a Lieutenant if they're not paying attention.
Shadow☆Star: Zeroth Form
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Activated/Sustained/Verbal or Mental Callout
While using Shadow Star it converts Tsubaki's form in shadows that wrap around Black Star as a scarf. The scarf is able to solidify at will, meaning it is capable of cutting an opponent or even acting like another limb. Shadow☆Star: First Form - Chain of Blackness
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Activated/Sustained/Verbal or Mental Callout
While using Shadow☆Star, Black Star transmutes the sword into a wider sickle-like blade with a long black chain attached to the hilt. This results in not limiting the sword to solely its normal functioning but also allows it to be swung like a blade-whip. Using this technique, not only does Black Star gain even greater speed and strength (on top of his already raised Bankai stat boost), he also gains a vastly wider attack range due both to the chain of the blade and its longer sickle-like shape. Shadow☆Star: Second Form - Leaf of the Moonlit Night
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Activated/Sustained/Verbal or Mental Callout While currently using Shadow☆Star, Black Star transmutes the sword into a large, four-pointed shuriken, constructed from four ornately-patterned blades extending outwards from a wide circular ring acting as the weapons center. The technique itself is a direct progression of Tsubaki's original Shuriken form; this means that it retains its capabilities to be thrown with considerable force at a target, using the high speed of the rotations and sharp blades to easily slice through the majority of objects. However, the true potential of this ability lies in the significance of he large hole present within the ring. By inserting his hand into this specific section, Black Star's fist is immediately coated with a smooth black substance that is accented by ornate white patterns, which proceeds upwards with the shuriken to just past his wrist. After this process is complete, Black Star is able to release a substantially powerful blast of energy, which not only causes a distinct extension in the surrounding blades but also emits a significant conclusive force directed forwards. The extent of this blast is such that it can even damage a hardened layer of Reiatsu. While the technique is in effect, the shuriken remains in the same location on the arm but it continually rotates despite Black Star's movements. This action results in the ability having defensive properties as well.

Shadow☆Star: Third Form - Severed Shadow
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Activated/Sustained/Verbal or Mental Callout
While using Shadow☆Star, Black Star transmutes the sword into a large kunai-style dagger. Using this technique, Black Star moves with the speed of shadow creating clone-like afterimages. Unlike regular afterimages, these images still contain mass, allowing Black Star to pull off numerous blows to his opponent from all angles. This mass also provides a limited amount of resistance when the afterimage is cut, which can deceive an opponent into believing that they have struck the original. However, the disadvantage of this technique is due to the nature of moving at high speed, which often results in these types of movements following a typical pattern. As the afterimages aren't moving independently to each other, it means that the movements are related, thus if an opponent observes closely enough they can derive what the next move will be and where it will land. However, this problem can be solved through the use of Shadow Star: Fourth Form - Branched Darkness.

While using Shadow☆Star, Tsubaki takes control of one of Black Star's afterimages made with Shadow Star: Third Form - Severed Shadow. During the conduction of Branched Darkness the specific possessed image not only adopts Black Star's appearance but due to the constant retrieval of Reiatsu from Black Star, it also has full mass that allows it to attack and move in a similar manner to Black Star himself, making the illusion far more convincing and effective than the techniques predecessor, Dummy Star.

Skills, Techniques, and Kidō Immense Spiritual Power: This level of spiritual power corresponds to those possessing an enormous amount of spiritual power which is finely controlled. This level of spiritual power is reflected in its ability to enhance a user during combat as well as its ability to affect the surrounding environment on a controlled level, allowing the wielder to use it in combat to startling degrees. Black Star's Reiatsu induces people to look his way and see how great he is, his Reiatsu is very flashy and strong. It doesn't choke people, but it does hinder them. His Reiatsu takes a yellow hue when it becomes visible. He is very good at controlling his Reiryoku into doing what he wants.
Immense Durability: Black Star is known for having a high durability, though he ends up getting hurt, he'll almost always stand back up from the attack. He doesn't give up, and pushes himself to near death. While he still is effected by impalement or limb lost, he will still try to drag his maimed body back to its feet.
Enhanced Endurance: If Black Star felled at answering a test while he was studying in his academy days, he would force himself to do an X amount exercise activities. He can fight for a good amount of time without getting to exhausted.
Enhanced Strength: Due to his constant exercising he did, Black Star is a very well built young man; his muscles are well developed which help with his strength, even though he is a Shinigami and has some unnatural strength. If a person has an Enhanced Strength via Shikai, Black Star is about this strong just by himself.
Enhanced Speed: Though it took him a while to learn Shunpo, he is a very good practitioner of the trait. He is a fast runner.
Intermediate Swordsmanship Specialist: He may not be the best at Swordsmanship, but he knows how to handle a blade when it's needed. He knows how to use a Kusarigama better then a sword.
Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Having to go so long by himself, Black Star learned how to fight with just his hands and feet. He is a worthy foul with them. He doesn't have a certain style, it's mostly just stuff he's made up himself.
Certain Kill: Black☆Star Big Wave
Type: Offensive/Mental or Verbal Callout
Usually done from behind, Black Star send a large amount of his own Reiryoku through the opponent's body to stun them first, using his elbow. He'll follow it up with a strong punch that has a lot of Reiryoku surging through that as well, which will send the target flying and cause internal damage.
Successive Palm Big Wave - Three Extremes "Wèi" "Wú" "Shǔ"
Type: Offensive/Mental or Verbal Callout
A variation of the Black Star's Big Wave technique, that instead rapidly hits an opponent three times in succession, using the same fist. The attack inflicts enough internal damage to cause the target to bleed from the mouth even if they're a Lieutenant. A Captain will have bruising.
Two Palm Big Wave - Twin Waves
Type: Offensive/Mental or Verbal Callout
This is a variation of the attack Big Wave that instead makes use of both hands, rather than just one. The attack works using the same principle as its one handed version; that by concentrating their Reiryoku into their fist, the user can drive their Reiryoku directly into an opponent's body through a physical strike on them, causing strong direct and internal damage. However, due to the inclusion of an extra hand, the attack's power is greatly amplified and able to incapacitate even strong opponents.
Planet Destruction Cannon
Type: Offensive/Mental or Verbal Callout
Though the name is different, in theory, this is like Two Palm Big Wave, the users only using on hand, and make for an extra hand in case they need to block.
Tactician: When it comes to planing something by himself, Black Star fails miserably, usually. But he can follow orders just fine.
Intelligence: By no means is Black Star stupid, but he doesn't always plan ahead after an attack. And he sometimes tries the same attack twice, even though it may have not done anything the first time. He's very persistent. Non-KidōAir Walk

Description
A most basic technique that allows the user to throw him/herself to a certain direction using a certain angle of which way the the stance is directed and executed. Based on an individual's atributes, dashing can be quite a moderately fast move instead of running. Also depending on the distance, dashing can be quite useful if in closer range to the opponent.

Description
This demon art corresponds to a "haste" or "boost" skill, allowing a shinigami to move his or her body within a certain distance at super-speed. It is speculated that this art works in combination with foot combat, hohō.
