Speed was key but Mitsu was becoming more and more unsettled by the cats presence with every passing moment. Again it was up to her panda to counter and block while Mitsu squeaked trying to avoid claws. The beast seemed intent on fighting back, and Roch was torn. On one hand he wanted to pull this off properly--on the other, he jackin' hated seeing his Buddy get hurt. "Hit him again, Buddy, he's tougher than that," he said. He hoped. The blob rushed forward, turning and slamming into the beast with his side. Roch had to jerk his leg up so it didn't get smashed between the two beasts. But he didn't care. It was a great hit! Buddy had lost his temper. Roch couldn't really blame him, well, mostly because he was too busy hanging on to do much about anything. The blob slammed hard into the beast, opening a mouth that Roch hadn't realized he had and biting down on it. Roch tugged at the reins, hauling him back before he could eat the other beast. "Whoa, Buddy, WHOA!" he said. "No EATING it!" But this definitely was his creation, he thought with reluctant amusement. It also explained the blobby body. The cat was relentless, circling and stalking before it would come in for another attack. Mitsu finally snapped out of the stupor she was in to help defend the panda's back from serious damage but the cat still managed to make a hit. "You do this right, Buddy, and I'll draw you up some snacks if I ever get the chance," Roch swore. Buddy perked up, then swiped out with a paw, hitting the beast and smacking it back a bit. He jerked as the beast took a bite out of him, and shoved him off again. Roch cheered, reaching behind him to get one of the nets. It was almost time, he figured. Buddy must have taken him seriously, because even though the beast bit him again, he only swiped at it gingerly, sending it back a few feet as Roch dug out one of the nets from the basket. Roch almost fell off of the blob as he dragged the heavy net out of the basket. He wasn't paying much attention to the fight, because he was struggling to figure out just how the hell the net worked in the first place. He ah... wasn't much of a hunter, TBH. I battled and I PASSEDRoch hauled the net up, giving up on figuring out exactly how he was supposed to throw it--and threw it. The net dropped down over the beast, tangling it up more as the beast tried to get free. Soon the beast was tangled up so much that it couldn't move--was just laying there whining pathetically. The moment he finished the capture, Roch was sent out of the painting and into the class. He looked around for the professor, but saw no one. Instead he dug through his pocket and pulled out a sheet of paper and a pen. "I don't think this will work," he admitted as he sat on the ground and doodled up a pile of snacks. Tacos and pizza and chips and fries were piled high. Then he took the paper and laid it next to the painting. "Thanks, Buddy," he said. "Sorry I don't got the stuff to do this right." Then he headed out, leaving the classroom behind. Rikki stared wide-eyed at his blobby beast. How has they gotten a harness on it when he'd failed to even tame it? That just made him feel lame.
At least they were fighting today, though. That felt like a useful skill. He tried to pat his beast in good nature, since they'd be working together, but it only hopped away again, proving that while it may be harnessed now, it was still far from tame. It wasn't hard to find a wild beast. They came out of nowhere, and they were quickly picking up opponents.
A beast came at Rikki and his blob, and Rikki shouted some encouragement his creature, which seemed to help a bit. Combined with a well placed kick from Rikki, the two were a decent team. Didn't stop the opponent from biting him though.

Tamed or untamed, Rikki and his blob were a pretty kickass team. They rushed their opponent and his blob bit the beast's snout just as Rikki punched it's neck. It let out a creepy snarl-snort and shook it's head until it was free of the blob's grip. It then proceeded to ram Rikki's blob in the shoulder.

His blob was fired up. It obviously wanted to do some damage. Before Rikki could even get a hit in on the beast, his blob charged forward. It his with a double strike - a bite to the cheek and a kick to the stomach - that almost made Rikki tear up with pride. His little blob. Doing so well!

Rikki's blob hadn't turned around by the time their opponent rushed for another attack. The beast snarled and leaped onto his blob and his blob let out a screeching growl. Rikki, at a loss for whatever else to do, jumped it and kicked the beast in the face and then pried him off his blob. He took a quick second to check his blob over for any serious damage before turning back to the beast angrily. He could see the beast getting weaker, but he still wasn't satisfied with it. He patted his blobs side and together they rushed off. Rikki slammed his fist into the beast with a sweeping punch. Honestly, it kind of made his knuckles hurt. His bloob tore at the opponent's ears - large, floppy things like a bunny's - and growled menacingly.

I battled and I PASSEDRikki paused and looked over his opponent. It's breath was getting ragged, and it looked weaker than when they'd started. His blob, however, was far weaker, and wouldn't make it much longer. He made the decision to end this here and now.
He took the heavy net and tossed it. It landed on the beast, knocking it off it's feet and causing it to squeal. The more the beast flailed and freaked out the more tangled it got until finally it stopped moving and laid, trapped. He had just successfully captured his beast! He turned to party with his blob, but before he could he was sucked out of the painting.
