Upon realizing that Ky had herself restrained, Jun released Charles' handshake. "Enough" Jun responded to Ky, giving her another wry smile showing how funny he found the whole situation. " I... eh, Belieave? Mrs. Kyrin-chan was pre-pair-Ing to departe." Jun held his ground, just on the other side of Charles, and watched Ky. "I hope you have more time later, we should get something to drink." Jun's smile had grown uncontrolable, his cheeks burned from the strain but he found himself unable to release the grin.

”As it is, yes. I am going. I have to do my rounds.” She eyed Jun, seeing the smaller man seem to hid behind Charles. Yeah, that’s right, you ought to be afraid of me. She thought before meeting his eyes. The thought of a drink actually enticed Kyrin, but the idea of going with Jun made the appeal lessen. We have only just met, what is he playing at? Replying with a level voice she said, ”Perhaps you should meet with Jaydn first and see if he will keep you.“
Charles cast a look between the two before settling his dark eyes on Kyrin. ”Will you take a message to the barkeep on 4th for me?” When Kyrin nodded, he handed her a folded sheet of paper. ”Thank you Miss Kyrin. Enjoy your day.”
Kyrin smiled at Charles and stashed the paper away, ”You’re welcome.” She motioned to Jun, ”Jaydn is in with Miss Al-kohen . He will ask for Mr. Kato in a bit. I will inform Jaydn that you are with him.” And with that she said a goodbye to both men, her dark hair swinging lightly behind her as she exited the room.
Once she was out of sight, Charles looked to Jun, ”Would you like something to eat? I can show you to the kitchen.” Since Jun was being allowed this high in the building, Charles figured that he was definitely staying. What did he say to Kyrin to make her say that? And suddenly, Charles felt like he was missing too much, but he knew he didn’t have the time to learn another language.

Jun's smile faded noticably at Ky's responce, but flashed brightly once again when she said her goodbye. Turning to Charles, Jun took his first real notice of the man. His size would be quite daunting if not for his overly pleasant demenor. "I would like food, yes." Jun replied with a polite smile. "But I not sure about american food?" It was true, Jun had never been to america before today, and even in Japan, his mothers ideals on food had stuck with him, even if her ideals on culture had not. Offering Charle's the opportunity to lead the way, the oddly matched pair headed down the hall.

With a sudden entrance, Nori turned his head in time to see the eccentric new strangers. The female counterpart seemed completely at home, even for never having been seen around the building before. With the abrupt commotion, Nori was at a loss for what to do. He watched their exchange for a moment, very curious about the newcomers, who were instantly heavily engaged in conversation. They jabbered away in Japanese, and Nori felt the familiar feeling of being lost at sea. He picked up a familiar name between their rapid japanese sentences. "Felix?" So was this the Matsui cousin that Ky would occasionally mention? Nori almost wanted to drop into the conversation, but perhaps they only spoke Japanese... forgotten in the fray, he decided to remain the wallflower, not wanting to interrupt their assemblage. With a shrug and uncertain smile to Jamie, he placed Katzchen down to sit on the floor, inching towards the stove with a silent plea for Jamie to follow. He wondered if it was okay to start cooking, what with the clamorous sounds the cooking pots brought with them. A little voice on the inside wanted him to go ahead and make as much noise as possible, but he settled for seating himself on the counter instead.

Jamie kept his eyes down shyly, looking only up at Nori briefly. He didn't want to call attention to himself, he wasn't sure if he was still welcome, and he only understood perhaps three words of Japanese. Most of them were dirty. He stood, near Nori, to free up a chair for one of the newcomers and to be close to something familiar. He hadn't looked at the newcomers yet, so he didn't recognize Felix as the one who had let him into this mess in the first place, god only knows how long ago.

'Pinkys up'...? The jab was lost to Maddox who did not understand the statement for what it was meant to be. Perhaps it was a new Japanese slang expression? It would not surprise Maddox if that was the case, he had never been one to stay on top of the trends.
He did, however, catch his brother's grin and, reflexively, he felt his insides give a nervous twist. Maddox knew from years of experience that Xavier only flashed an expression like that when something , typically of the not good sorts, was about to happen. But if Uncle was not coming then... Oh! Maybe Xavier was only saying that Uncle was not going to come when, really, he is and this is a part of his plan! Oh no... Maybe, just in case... Yes, just in case, Maddox decided he would prepare for his Uncle's arrival. And in case he was reading into it too much, he would keep it to himself. Yes, he would let Xavier and Felix believe that they had him so that Maddox could stay one step ahead.
Following after the group as they filed into the kitchen, Maddox gestured to the table, realizing minutely that James and Nori had migrated away from it, but offering to the company, "Please take a seat."He flowed into English, not wanting to alienate the other persons within the room. Turning to address Nori, he asked with a smile, "May I help with breakfast, Nori?" But with this question to the young man, Maddox realized his lack of manners. "Oh, excuse me. I have been rude. Nori, James, this is my cousin Felix and her co worker, Eleck. This is Nori and James, they are our friends." His apology was accompanied by a short bow of his head and smiled warmly at both parties, hoping that he had no offended either.

The group in the kitchen made small talk, had a delicious breakfast, and made light of their morning. Maddox and Nori cooked a meal that left everyone feeling at least a little satisfied and Charles informed the groups that he would clean up so that he could wait for Jaydn to call for Jun. As the group dispersed a few people at a time, Charles and Jun were left with Maddox as company who help him clean up as well. Xavier, Eleck, and Felix, who had caught up during breakfast, had run off like excited children to play in what Xavier told them was the “greatest room of electronics ever”. Shortly after they left, both Jamie and Nori took their leave as well, making plans together for the rest of the day after they departed, [Meanwhile…Pretty boys go shopping. ].
While the group was convened in the kitchen, Kyrin had called Jaydn to inform him of Jun’s whereabouts and expressed her distaste in having to play babysitter once again, seeing as she had other work that she needed to get done. Jaydn, after some consideration and the want to not have Kyrin and Miles too irritated, told Kyrin that the two were to take the rest of the day off after Kyrin finished her rounds. Kyrin, finding that the work would get done a lot fast with another person’s help, enlisted Miles and the two went about doing the rounds for the day, going to all the bars for new information. The note from Charles made it to its appointed place with no trouble.
Jaydn, meanwhile, was stuck in his office, talking to Molly and getting to know his newly ‘acquired’ associate. [Meanwhile…Interview with Molly. ] After his meeting with Molly, he moved on to Jun and Charles was left to go back to the work he had to get done before he left.
Once finished with his work, Charles was off to find Miles, whom had told him of a poker game that might be of interest. [Meanwhile…Relationships. ]
The rest of the day was filled with work to be done as Maddox and Jaydn went through what they had learned of the newcomers. Molly, who’d been shown to her room earlier, went to organizing her belongings and getting herself settled. Jun, after his meeting, had milled about, trying to find something to entertain himself. Xavier, having left Felix and Eleck to their own devices, found Jun and Levi the three went about town to find some fun together. Kyrin had spent a good while in Miles’ room before wandering back to her own.
The day seemed to drag on for some and was relatively productive for others, and then before they knew it, the clock told that it was 10:30 PM.

The sun had gone down a while ago, leaving the piles of papers and files boxes to streak long shadows on the floor of Miles' room. He was standing in the bathroom now, pulling off his tie. He had put it on out of habit, but he would want to be less formal, yet classy tonight. He stroked a hand through his hair and decided to leave like that. Women seemed to like it when he had an air of apathy about him. Making sure he had the essentials with him -cellphone, wallet, smokes- he grabbed his designer jacket and made his way out.

At ten thirty, Kyrin sat in front of her mirror, curling iron in hand, as she wove soft curls into her hair. The light scent of her perfume gently accented the air around her as she finished with her hair. She surveyed her appearance, as she sat in a light cream colored shift, still not having chosen what she would wear. Happy with what she saw, she moved to the bathroom to apply her make up. She chose to keep it fairly simple, a line of black eye liner and a hint of eye shadow. She lined her lips in a color that was slightly darker than her own lips and applied a slightly darker shade of lipstick. She smiled. It would do. For long minutes after that she stood and stared at the clothes in her closet, not knowing what would be best to wear. She pulled out a few items and tossed them lightly to the bed. Her eyes swept over them and she was impatient with herself when her phone sounded that it was time to leave. She stopped on a black dress and as she held it up to her body and felt the material against her skin, she knew she’d found the right outfit. Pulling off the slip and pulling on the dress, Kyrin’s smile widened. This should be fun. Grabbing an expensive coat from her closet she completed her look with a simple silver necklace and grabbed her guns from their normal hiding place. Slipping on black heels, she made her way out, careful to avoid as many curious eyes as she could as she got into the waiting car.

10:30? That's it? Only 10:30? Jaydn gave an exhausted sigh. The day had dragged with him spending a large portion of the time cooped up within his own office. While he had gotten a lot of things done, it wasn't everything. He was feeling rather sour still about the day's events, knowing that they had caused him to fall behind on the schedule he had created. And now, because he was behind, he had not spoken to James today as he had planned to. That meant that, much against Jaydn's better judgement, James was to stay for at least another day. He frowned, feeling his blood begin to boil simply at the thought of how things could pan out for the worst. This is pointless. No use getting upset over it. I'll just talk to him tomorrow morning.
Jaydn pushed back his chair, standing and making his way to the door. He realized he was thirsty. He could get something in the kitchen. He ran a hand through his hair as he opened his door and made his way down the hall and into the elevator.

 ...At Marigolds
Miles rubbed the water over his face, taking a shower to wash off his own blood. His shirt lay crumbled on the floor, (it was done for) but the rest of his outfit was salvageable. Which reminded him that his jacket was still with Kyrin. His mouth and nose had stopped bleeding a while ago, but there was still a flushed cut on his lip that was still very visible. It was unusual for Miles to get in a fight, but the others could brush it off. Kyrin on the other hand…it would not be easy for her to pass off a large black eye. It wasn't good at all, and if anyone found out they would be in trouble, but he couldn't help but smile bitterly at the whole predicament.
As it was getting late, Nori waited a while beside Ky, wondering if she had anything else to say. When she didn’t, he looked at her a bit sadly before turning around and whispering a good night.

...At Marigolds
Kyrin watched Nori walk back to his room before making the move to shed her dress. There was nothing she could do for the material, which made her a bit sad. As the dress had been a gift from Miles, she had come to treasure it. Grabbing her phone from her jacket pocket she typed out a text to Miles and sent him one word, “Sorry.” Draping the dress over her bed rail Kyrin grabbed a towel and took a hot shower. The water rolled over her face and for a long while she just stood in it. Once she dried off she quickly threw on a silk night gown and fell asleep the second she hit the bed. She’s been awake since six in the morning, and the time was nearing one thirty.

Xavier yawned and stretched out in his bed. It was eight in the morning and he hadn’t gotten much sleep. The mattress he was sleeping on was so much less comfortable then what he had at home and he figured that he would have to go buy something to replace it soon. Swinging his feet off the side of the bed, he found it hard to believe that he had only arrived at the new base the day before. Having entered the States days before, he had managed to curb his jet lag, but was still slightly off, having to check his watch more then usual to figure out the time. Xavier dressed in black dress pants and a gray button up shirt. Yawning again, he went off to do his hair in the bathroom. Gelling his hair into his normal messy-but-well-kept style, he marveled at the black roots he saw coming in and sighed, it would be time to dye his hair again soon. As the gel dried, Xavier picked up some papers, a key card, and the bag with his laptop in it.
Making the short trip to his office, Xavier scanned the key card and typed in his twelve digit password. The door opened to reveal a room that matched the size of Jaydn’s real office and that held a few very large monitors on various desks throughout the room. There were papers scattered about on the floor and on the table on the far end of the room. Closing the door behind him, Xavier set to work changing all the security keys for the building and sending an email to all those who would give the new codes to the people that they managed. The task was time consuming and would keep him occupied for an hour or so. Clicking play on his laptop, loud Japanese rock music filled the well lit office.

The darkness of the room made it so that one could never know what time of day it was except by looking at the digital clock that sat beside the bed. As it was, right now, the luminescent numbers read ‘8:00’ and the clock was emitting a startlingly loud buzzing. The pile of blankets atop the bed could be heard shuffling about before a hand shot out, dropping hard on the snooze button of the clock. The hand rested there for a moment before slinking back under the covers. Though he always did hit the snooze button, Jaydn was never one to stay in bed again until it went off the second time. Lifting heavy lids, he scowled at the time on the clock. It had seemed only seconds ago that he had gotten to sleep. Giving an irritated sigh, he threw the covers off of himself, sitting up on the side of the bed and running a hand through his rumpled hair. After disabling the alarm on the clock and switching on the table lamp, the mafia prince shuffled his way into the bathroom that connected his room with Maddox’s. While he was set upon closing the doors of the bathroom, he couldn’t help but overhear his brother in the next room.
”Eh? But really, shouldn’t you go to bed? It’s already so late there. Yes, if you’d like. A text is fine.” There was laughter. ”You shouldn’t be so mean to your sister, she doesn’t-”
Once the door was shut, the words were lost. Starting up a showering and grabbing his toothbrush, Jaydn thought briefly on the conversation he overheard. There was no doubt about it, Maddox was speaking with that girl again from Japan. What was her name….? Right, Ichigo. Both Jaydn and Xavier had known of Maddox’s girlfriend for a while now but neither had met her. All they had was a name and the amazing discovery that Maddox had been able to get himself a girlfriend. Jaydn’s initial worry was that the girl would know too much but, after consideration, Jaydn had always known Maddox to be smart; Maddox wouldn’t tell anyone more than they needed to know.
Feeling much more awake after a shower, Jaydn got dressed in a pair of black slacks and a dark green button-up. Brushing a comb through his hair shortly and checking his reflection in the mirror, he considered his tasks for the day. Better check back on those twins. And have Novachek rally some men up to sweep the main street. Hm, Oriole‘s suppose to be back today, wonder what he has for me… As he thought, his body had gone on auto-pilot as he organized his bed and room. And then there’s James. He frowned minutely before moving on with his thoughts. Once looking around and deeming the room sufficiently neat, Jaydn left his room, making for the kitchen for a short moment of breakfast.

Kyrin groaned as she woke up, rolling over in her bed and then cursing as the right side of her face made contact with the pillow. She immediately grimaced and sat up quickly. What the… And then the sight of Miles’ coat hanging off the end of her bed frame brought the memories back. ”Ugh…” The pain in her eye had gradually increased during the night until it was enough to wake her up. She pet the small kitten that had curled itself next to her and smiled as she saw it continue to sleep. Shuffling her bare feet against the carpet, she made for the bathroom in search of pain medication. Flipping on the light she nearly gasped. Her eye, that had been progressively reddening the night before, was now a strange and almost repelling shade of purple, green, and yellow. Kyrin couldn’t hide the shock from her own face and she was disgusted and angry. If I ever see that son of a b***h again I am going to put a bullet through his head. And then Kyrin realized that at some point today she would have to face her cousin. Making her way out of the bathroom Kyrin imagined the lecture that Jaydn would go through and the talk of stubbornness and recklessness that he more often associated with Xavier. She scoffed, I should play sick. Kyrin played idly with her hair as she thought and then she wondered if there was a quick way to get rid of her black eye. In her life Kyrin had never suffered a broken bone, much less a black eye, and if she had ever been injured there was always someone there to make her better. Now, she was on her own. At her desk she flipped open her laptop and searched, ‘Black eyes’ and read through the results. Two weeks!? I can’t look like this for that long… She sighed in spite of herself and read through the page more. There were suggestions of icing for the first forty eight hours and heat packs for the days after that. Some pages told her that she might be rid of it in as little as a week. ”Ice…” Kyrin mumbled, disheartened. It looked like she was going to have to get Jaydn’s lecture anyway. She wouldn’t be able to play sick for two weeks and she had a lot of work to get done. Not to mention she couldn’t stay cooped up. In the end, Kyrin decided that icing and a lot of cover up was going to have to do. Slipping a black hoodie over her night shirt and locating flip flops, Kyrin grabbed Miles’ jacket and made her way to the kitchen. A stop for ice and then she would give him back his jacket. In her slightly disheveled state, Kyrin made her way to the kitchen and paled slightly when she saw that Jaydn was almost there as well. Turning, she started to make her way back to her room, but then the throbbing in her eye forced her to continued her way.
