Colors:Last time we had people starting to write in colors. And to avoid confusion, you will have to stick to the colors that you were using in the first RP. If you are new, you will have to find a color no one has. Once you find the color, please let me know which it is.Kyrin: Indigo James: Red Nori: Hotpink Jaydn: #3399FF Ian: Olive Xavier: #FF0066 Maddox: Blue Miles: Orchid Charles: Dark Cyan Levi: #6600CC Karma: #333366 Nina: Green Caiden: Orange Riley: Brown Remember: Your color CAN be an HTML code number. [Supplied chart: Here ] If you pick one of these, you need to write it like this ---> [ color= # (Insert your numbers here) ] [ /color ] .
Without the spaces, of course. If it doesnt make sense like that, then send me the number you want and I will do it for you the first time so you can see it. Please don't pick a color that is going to blind us to read, or that is going to be too light against white, savvy? biggrin Colors for Different Languages:Since a lot of us have characters that speak other languages, when you character speaks in a certain language, I would like you to place that part of their speech in the corresponding color, and very importantly, I want it in ENGLISH. Also, I dont want everyone going around having their character suddenly speaking a different language a whole lot, so let's keep it to a minimum please. I will add new colors for languages when I see fit, or when they are going to be used. Please don't pick your own color, I am trying to keep them a certain way. Thank you.Japanese: Gray German: Tan Russian: purple French: #33FF66 Spanish: #CC6699

The brothers sat across from one another, Jaydn watching his younger brother from behind his desk, rolling a pen in his hand as he listened to Maddox.
"They're going to need more funds to be able to put down. They may not last long enough with just what they have already on hand." The twenty year old man sat forward slightly in his chair, a stack of manila folders and various papers in one arm. His grey-blue eyes flickered back and forth between looking at the papers he occasionally shuffled through, out of habit more than anything else, and meeting momentarily with the cool grey of Jaydn's own. Though they had always been fairly close, the transfer into this new city had brought the brothers even more together. Maddox regretted slightly that Xavier wasn't around to share the moments of bonding with the two Matsui boys. With some time to consider it however, it was probably best that Xavier had returned home to Japan and their parents. The chance that they would have had the smooth transaction into the new city that they did would have most likely been greatly compromised with the presence of their mischievous little brother. For how relunctantly Xavier returned home, Maddox expected to see the return of their youngest brother as soon as he became eighteen and their mother couldn't legally hold him to her. This thought however made Maddox neither excited or apprehensive but instead rather confused to his own feelings.
A moment of silence came between the two as Jaydn took in what Maddox was telling him. He allowed his eyes to wander about the toom that was now his office. It was perhaps the smallest office he has created from himself in a long while but with their current situation, that was something he was willing to sacrifice. Besides, it accomadated the necessities for him to function properly. His dark wood desk and chair were accompanied by four other armchairs, fairly comfortable and dark blue. Soft ticking carried time forward. It was mid-day and the two men had been conversing for about an hour now. Jaydn brought his attention back to Maddox, who waited patiently for his brother's direction. Giving a nod, Jaydn answered, "Talk to Charles. He's aware of our current situation and knows what to do." Maddox stood, papers rustling as he rearranged his hold on them, and made his way toward the closed door, pausing when his brother added, "Send Ky and Miles in." The leader of the mafia had paged them earlier, requesting their audience. Jaydn and his men had arrived fairly recently, three months, and, while they had found residence and other basic means to survival, they had only just begun their work in establishing their power within the city.

Ky took deliberate steps down the hall, causing her hair to sway behind her and the scent of her strawberry shampoo to trail behind her. Kyrin had long since given up her blue dyed hair for natural black and in the months before had let it grow out; Slightly layered, it fell just above the small of her back. Hearing voices coming from behind the wooden door, Ky recognized the Japanese accents that belonged to her cousins and stopped in the hall. Ah, they are still on about it. Sighing, she turned and examined her appearance in the elaborate mirror that hung in the hallway. She wore her old trench coat, with its pin stripes and embroidered butterfly, and jeans. Nori had fixed it up for her and sewn in the lose ends that had littered the seams. He had also started to make her other clothing, which now accented her ever growing wardrobe. One of these items she was wearing now. The black silky material draped over her form and accented her neck, where she wore a thin silver necklace with a small diamond attached. The material crossed over her front and tied in a droopy bow on her left side near her waist. She liked the item, and she liked that it had been made just for her. Kyrin and Nori had become a lot closer since Kyrin’s little endeavor and Ky was grateful to have someone to be able to confide in again. With all the men around, Nori was the closest thing to a girl that Ky had around. Well… There’s Nina but… no. Kyrin straightened the shirt and smoothed her pants, more out of habit then actual need, and stared at her reflection. Brown eyes stared back. Ky scowled, she really hated the contacts, they were awkward. Jaydn had all but ordered them on her, but she suspected that the actual idea had ventured from Maddox’s mouth. She tried to remind herself to get back at him for it later, but Jaydn had added, ‘I’m personally not in favor of endangering this mafia, but if you are, then go home’ and although it had irritated Ky, she had to drop her grudge. She would admit that her eyes stood out, but they were one of her favorite features. They were her mother’s eyes, and though genetically it was amazing that she’d got them, she loved them. Rummaging around her jacket pocket, Kyrin’s hands fumbled to grasp the small contact case. To hell with these. She thought as she took out the case and examined the letters. Ky set it carefully on the table and unscrewed the side that was labeled ‘R’. Gazing into the mirror she tried a few times to pull the plastic from her eye, it irritated her that it was so hard for her to do, but eventually she got one out, and then the other. Blinking a few times, Ky looked into the mirror to see herself as she should look and she felt content in that. The echo of footsteps in the hall reached Ky’s ears and she snapped out of her thoughts immediately. Her hand went to her gun under her jacket. When she noticed a familiar suit clad figure she relaxed and called a hello, which was returned. Kyrin hadn’t been at the new city for long, a little over a month, and was still a little tense as she was growing accustom to her new surroundings. Ky missed the comfort of her mansion, its familiarity, its comfort. And she missed Izzy. It had been so long since she had seen the younger girl that she almost wondered if Izzy was the same girl that she had left behind. It pained Ky that she wasn’t able to tell Izzy where she was going, or even that she had left, but she knew Bella would protect her, or, she hoped. Ky also missed the security of knowing her father was watching out for her, but in a way she reveled in that thought. She was finally going to be able to show her expertise. Not only that but the experience had already started to bring her and Jaydn closer together; Ky had realized that they hadn’t been having as many arguments as they used to, snide remarks still, but the arguments were slowly subsiding. Ky figured that once everyone got into their routine and began to really settle down that they would benefit from one another’s company and experiences; and hopefully that they would fight less. They would have to, in any case, or they would fail. And with failing meaning death, Ky was pretty keen on watching her tongue. Ky knew that humans were meant to have drama, but she really did hope that they could decrease their fighting, or at least quickly resolve their arguments. Grudges weren’t a particularly good thing if you were supposed to be watching someone else’s back. Being away from her old home did have some perks, though, to go along with the minor tragedies. She no longer had to see Craig with his blonde hair and playful gaze. She no longer had to see the man who stole her heart, made her feel giddy, and then threw it in a blender just to see her squirm. The last time she saw him she ignored his existence and left the room; he’d been trying to apologize for overreacting. The time before that, she’d cried. Ky didn’t think about him much anymore, in fact, it was rare that a thought of him even cross her mind. A lot of things that Kyrin used to think about didn’t cross her mind anymore. She had new things to pay attention to. Miles was one of these things. During the cold nights of the oncoming winter the two had shared the warmth of one another’s beds, often doing more ‘sharing’ then actual sleeping. Ky sighed and pulled a strand of hair from her eyes, just in time to see Miles approaching her in the hall. Speak of the devil. She thought, as the familiar smell of cigarette smoke wafted down the hall way.

The sound of expensive Italian-brand shoes could be heard approaching the hall with a soft step. There was no cigarette in his hand, but the smell was around Miles as he approached the door he was called to. He was anticipating the meeting that Jaydn had arranged, considering it was an uncommon event. Miles was always ready to start a new project, or at last be able to show his worth while on the job. He was used to the building by now, so it was easy to find his way there quickly. As he advanced he noticed a black-clad figure sitting beside his destination. Kyrin looked complacent, and rather peaceful. She must have been called out to the meeting as well. Without saying anything, he stood on the other side of the door, not wanting to interrupt her thoughts. He imagined that he looked rather ragged in comparison. He was always in pressed, clean clothes of course, but he had just come from his room after an all-nighter. His eyes were even darker than usual, almost sinister, and he didn‘t have the time to shave. With hands in pockets, he patiently waited, and turned his head to stare at Kyrin a bit shamelessly. It was silent, but not awkward. Despite knowing each other as business relations for many months, the most time they had spent together included late-night rendezvous of un-guilty “fooling around”, which Miles did not only share with her alone. After ungodly hours of work, there was play, which was his past time of using his social talents to get some entertainment for the evening. But changing women as often as he changed his tie was also a notorious talent. Besides, his time belonged to his work, not some other nameless person.

Opening the door, Maddox saw Miles and Kyrin waiting outside silently. Wondering briefly if perhaps he had interrupted a conversation, he nodded toward the pair. “I’m sorry but Jaydn would like to speak with you now.”
Stepping out and holding the door open for the two, Maddox gave a small smile as they passed. Over the time that Kyrin had joined them in the new city, Maddox had come to notice something very peculiar about her. Other than her own mafia members and family, his cousin often didn’t talk with anyone else beside Miles, which Maddox found curious. Even more so, Miles seemed to enjoy Kyrin’s company. That couldn’t be said of very many people, Maddox included usually with the group, seeing as how Miles was anything but a social butterfly. Knowing what Kyrin had been through recently though, the middle Matsui brother was happy that she was opening up to someone new and so he wasn’t about to say anything lest it ruin the opportunity. Considering what he knew of Miles, Maddox was sure that Miles understood what he was getting himself into and so would not be treating Kyrin as one of his other nameless and insignificant bed women.
Letting the door close behind them when they entered the room, Maddox made his way down the hall and towards the elevator. I hope Charles isn’t busy at the moment.
As Kyrin and Miles entered the room, Jaydn nodded his acknowledgement of them, waiting for them to be seated before beginning. The both of them had proven to be what Jaydn expected of them as his top leaders. Jaydn had faith in Miles, he had always been a reliable member of the Coyotes. Kyrin would have been taken up a important role in the running of the mafia whether Jaydn had wanted her to or not. Fortunately, Jaydn had no qualms with the idea, believing it time that Kyrin stepped up to their name more seriously than she ever did with her play mafia.
Once they were settled, he spoke, all business, “I’ve just spoken with Maddox, as I’m sure you know. We’ve decided upon our course of action concerning our establishment in this city. I’ll share the details of it later. For now, what have you found out concerning the tasks given to you?”

Kyrin settled herself in the dark armchair and cast her blue eyes around the room as Jaydn talked. Her eyes lingered on some papers on his desk before her eyes settled on Miles as he sat as well; he looked exhausted. Must have stayed up again. Watching him for a moment more, she shifted in her chair. Jaydn’s questions lingered in the air and Kyrin waited to see if Miles would speak first, but when he didn’t, her voice filled the small room.
“I’ve been around the town, talking to a few people here and there. Mostly at a couple of our bars.” She stood and set a stack of files in front of Jaydn. “All the people there would be useful to us in some way or another.” Sitting back down, she motioned to the top file on the stack. “Caiden and Riley Flynn. They have lived here all their life and know this city and its important people like the back of their hands. They can use a hand gun pretty well and aren’t connected to anyone who would harm our business.” Kyrin shrugged, “The rest of the information I have on them is in their file. I have met with them no less then five times now and have had them watched for the past couple weeks. The others there I have met with once or twice; they are being watched as well.” She paused to see if Jaydn had any questions.
Pulling the stack of files that Kyrin had placed on his desk towards him, Jaydn flipped open the top folder, skimming the papers as his cousin spoke. “You say that you’ve met with them, do you know if they speak any other languages besides English?”
“As far as I can tell, they’re clueless when it comes to other languages. When I made a phone call to Maddox, I spoke in Japanese, as you requested with important matters, they seemed disinterested.”
“Hm…” Jaydn closed the file and placed the stack in a corner of his desk. “Seeming disinterested though doesn’t mean they don’t know.” Giving a shrug, he nodded to Kyrin, “We can figure that out properly later. Good work.” Looking at his cousin, he furrowed his brows slightly, “You took the contacts out?”
Kyrin shot a glare in his direction, “Yes. I hate them.”
“Oh good, then we’re going to have to wait another hour as you put them back on, you’re going back out.” Turning to Miles, Jaydn moved on, impatient to finish business so that he could get out of his godforsaken windowless room for some fresh air. “How are things for you Miles?”
Miles rubbed his tired eyes while the two bickered and rested one hand behind his neck. Adjusting his glasses, he now turned to Jaydn. “Well,” he sighed, “for starters, there’s a lot of gang activities in the eastern part of the city, but it’s mostly just young kids with security issues and a gangster complex. There is, however, a local business involving themselves in underground drugs and illegal boxing. Sad to say that they are probably the biggest threat at this time. I figure it’s nothing we can’t handle.” He moved his hand to the cigarette pack in his pocket, but realized that he was out.
A faint smile appeared on his face as Jaydn heard Miles’ news. “If they are indeed the biggest threat then this city will be easier than we thought.” A moment of silence filtered through the room. After what seemed like a period of contemplation, Jaydn spoke, adopting a serious tone, “Alright then. Miles, if you wouldn’t mind, have some of your men switch shifts with Kyrin’s at the bar. Make sure there aren’t any problems.” However subtly, when he turned his cool grey eyes to his cousin’s, Jaydn’s look softened. “Ky, gather whatever information your men might have picked up from the customers and hand it over to Maddox. And if you happen to see Nina about, let her know I want to talk to her. And Ky, keep the contacts in.” As much as he knew what a bother the contacts were to Kyrin, Jaydn also knew that her eyes would attract too much attention. Pulling Kyrin’s files to himself once more, Jaydn dismissed the pair of them, not looking forward to the pile of papers that now sat in front of him.

Kyrin left Jaydn’s office feeling slightly irritated about the idea of the contacts going back in her eyes. Walking quickly down the halls, her boots made noise on the granite tiles as she made her way to one of the elevators that led upstairs to the living quarters of the large building. Appearing on the outside to be a large, twenty two story business building, their head quarts was actually quite elaborate inside. The bottom floor was open for public access and the next five floors or so were full of offices. Without an access code, the elevator would not go higher then the third floor. Reaching the seventh floor, Kyrin exited the elevator and made her way to her room. Pulling out her keys, she undid the lock and turned the knob. Her room was quite spacious and well kept, probably more thanks to Nori then Ky. She had clean white walls and a dark wood desk and vanity, as well as a California king sized bed with large comforters and a good number of pillows. On one of the walls near her walk in closet she had a large full sized mirror. Another door in the room led to the a bathroom that joined Ky’s room to Nori’s. A door on either side of the bathroom allowed each of them access to it, as well as to the others room. All of the rooms were like this, with a shared bathroom between every two rooms. Kyrin spent about twenty minutes putting the contacts back in her eyes before dropping the small case back in her pocket. Sighing, she looked at her reflection and frowned again, Brown doesn’t suit me at all. She really disliked them. Smoothing her clothes once again she retrieved her cell phone from the night stand next to her bed The phone was slim and black and the metallic coating glinted slightly in the rooms light. She dialed a few numbers and said quickly to the man who picked up the other end, ”I need a car at the front, I’m leaving to the bars.” Once the man confirmed her request Kyrin flipped her phone closed and moved back down the halls to the elevators again. With so many people moving around to complete their daily tasks in such a large building, the elevators sometimes took a while to reach their destination. Kyrin waited patiently for the next one to arrive on her floor. A driver was waiting next to a black Lexus when Kyrin exited the building and opened the door for her as she neared. She thanked him, and once they were both settled, listed him off the bars in the order of which she would be visiting them. The driver smiled and started to drive, so Kyrin pulled out her phone again to call John, the ‘bartender’ at the first bar she’d be going to. When he picked up she promptly began, ”John? Okay. Miles will be sending a shift change out soon, please inform the others.” She paused as he talked, ”Yes, within twenty minutes I’m sure.” Another pause, ”No, I think he’s coming with them to check on the status of things, so he should be around after me. I will be around in ten minutes. Yes. I need that information that I asked for last night.” She paused briefly, ”What? Are you sure?” A smile lit her face. ”Well don’t let him leave.” Pause. ”Oh, by the way, have you seen Nina?” Her voice had a slight distaste to it when she spoke the other woman’s name, “No. Jaydn was looking for her. Well let me know if you see her. I’ll be there in a few.” And with that she snapped her phone shut. The ride wasn’t long, and just had Ky told John, she arrive in ten minutes. Ky stepped out of the bar and felt under her jacket for her gun. Her fingers brushed against the cool metal and she relaxed. ”Twenty minutes.” She said to the driver, as she made her way into the bar. Even at midday, the bar bustled with activity. ”Kyrin!” John’s voice called to her from behind the bar. Kyrin wandered over to him and asked, ”Where is he?” When John pointed, Kyrin’s eyes followed in the direction and fell upon a familiar figure. What luck that he happened upon one of our bars. She thought as she moved through the tables to get to him. Once she reached him, her voice held concern and almost uncontained happiness, ”Jamie?”

He had found no one at the mansion when he had finally returned, so the running had begun again. Rather than do the obvious and call Ian, Kyrin, find out where they had gone, he had run. And James had enjoyed the solitary running as much as he had enjoyed feeling almost accepted by the mansion, and by the people he had been staying with after.
The running had taken a detour to a bar some lovely lady had bought him a drink at. And one drink had turned into two, alone, and three. He still didn't even feel inebriated yet, but it wasn't as though he was talking to anyone, or trying to do anything that required higher brain functioning. He may be very, very wrong.
The dim light almost hid how thin he had gotten running. He was wearing an oversized black hoodie, faded jeans, and a t-shirt from a Nirvana concert years and years ago when he had lived in New York. All of this hung loose on his frame, and the black dye in his hair had long since grown out to its natural brown, remaining black only at the ends, framing his face. Blue eyes that were his most intense feature were dull with the alcohol. James resisted the urge to order another drink, hearing his name.
"Yes?" Without even turning, or taking notice of the nickname.

Ky’s brows knit together in concern and she bent to his level, taking his face in her hands to make him look at her. ”Jamie? Are you alright?” Even in the dim light, he looked, to Kyrin, like he’d been through hell and back. Oh Jamie, She thought sadly, Where did you run off to? For all the time that Kyrin had ever known James, she knew that he needed his alone time. She hadn’t tried to contact him the whole time he was away because she knew this fact, but also because she had gotten busy and completely lost track of time. Seeing him now made her feel really bad. I should have called… She thought warily. Looking into his now dull blue eyes sent a pang of guilt through her. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him close. ”Jamie.” When she hugged him, she was slightly taken aback by how skinny he was, My god…he needs to eat. She then back away and put her hands to his face again, looking him in the eyes, ”Jamie, did someone do this to you?”

Jamie returned her embrace. He knew he should have called, made sure they weren't worried about him, but she knew about his moods, his need to get away sometimes. But he hadn't noticed how small he had gotten, it wasn't something that had seemed important to him, so he gave a small laugh when she brought it up. "Only if you count me as someone. Actually, I feel fine, don't worry." He moved back, looked her over. "On the other hand, you look great, but you're far from home. Why?" He wasn't going to lie to her, he had been very worried when he had found her mansion abandoned.

Upon hearing that no one had treated him badly and that he was fine, Kyrin relaxed a little and released him. She sat in the unoccupied chair next to him. Pulling some loose strands of hair behind her ear she smiled and said, ”We actually live round here now. I’m sorry we didn’t tell you. I should have called.” She paused and looked at him, ”To tell you the truth, you were gone so long that I thought maybe you’d gone back to your father’s place. Not that I would blame you with all the drama and stuff, but at the same time it just didn’t seem like something you would do.” She shrugged, ”I worried about you but I’m glad to see you are in relatively one piece. You need to get some food in you though.” Kyrin sighed softly, ”Have you got a place to stay? Or are you still wandering. I would understand either way, but if you need a place to stay we still have plenty of open rooms.” Kyrin seemed like she was going to go on, but then she stopped suddenly, ”Wait, where have you been this whole time?” When it left her lips, it didn’t seem rude to her, she was just curious.

Jamie smiled. "Can I get you a drink, by the way?" He was glad to see his friend join him. "I've got nowhere to stay, though. I was kind of looking for you guys, to be honest. I missed you. And Nori," Jamie looked down and smiled, "Even Ian, though I really shouldn't." He had heard the last bit of conversation, her asking where he had been, but Jamie chose not to answer. He didn't want to tell her the truth, and he didn't have enough time to think of a good lie. "I'll take you up on the offer of a place to stay, if you'd really like for me to, though. Thank you, Kyrin."

Kyrin realized his choice to not tell her where he had been immediately but knew better then to push. Her friendship with Jamie was always such, he had certain things that just couldn’t be shared, and so did she. “I’m glad that I found you then, well… happened upon you, but just the same.“ She smiled, but upon the offer of the drink, Kyrin shook her head, ”Sadly, I must decline. I am actually working at this moment.” She nodded to the bartender. ”John there is one of our men.” She ran her hands through her hair and sighed again, ”We’ve been really busy lately, I could really use a few hours to rest a little.” She admitted. Since they were in a new city and had to establish themselves they had very little in the way of leisure time and Ky hadn’t been getting much sleep. Unlike Miles, Kyrin slept at least a few hours a night to make sure that she would be able to complete her tasks for the next days. Kyrin knew better then to complain to Jaydn, or any of the other men though, because she knew that Jaydn would decide that he was giving her too much to do and then not let her do much of anything, and that wasn’t her goal at all. Kyrin had been so busy that she really hadn’t seen much of Nori lately, even though the two shared a bathroom. Realizing that she was getting lost in her own thoughts of work, Kyrin brought herself back to the conversation. ”I’d love you have you stay.”
