With the sound of the door’s catch releasing, Jaydn replaced the pot of coffee back to the burner, steam rising from the mug he had set on the side table. Slipping his hand through the handle of the mug, he turned to face his guest. ”Welcome back, Ms. Al-kohen.” It appeared as if a hint of the annoyance he had suffered in the early morning hours escaped in his tone but he was quickly shutting it away.

Professional, was the thought that crossed her mind upon hearing Jaydn's greeting. "Thank you, its a pleasure." Molly stood just on the other side of the door assessing the interior of the office. the blatant ambiguity of the little work space gave Molly a feeling of neglect.

Making his way back to his desk, he placed the coffee on a coaster, the caramel colored liquid rippling from the movement. His cool grey eyes subtly assessed Malika’s movements, focus flickering to each detail, his mind immediately picking up on traits that he both approved and disapproved of. Entirely within his business mindset, Jaydn gestured to one of the armchairs that were in the room, offering, ”If you would take a seat.” Though phrased as if it was a request, it was said more as an expectation. Often, Jaydn toed the line between courtesy and adoption of a condescending nature that was typically associated with those who held any form of power, prone to slipping more into the latter than the first. His upbringing had created this habit of his.

Taking Jaydn's offer, Molly seated herself in the left middle chair. "Thank you." After straightening her suit she added, "Where shall we start?"

Malika’s straightforward style suited Jaydn just fine, being a person who preferred to spend as little time as necessary on idle talk when it was not appropriate for the situation. Sitting down in his own chair behind the desk, Jaydn flowed very easily into the conversation, ”Why don’t we begin with how you’ve come to this decision to join us? I’m also curious as to how much you already know.” He slipped his right hand back around his coffee, bringing the cup back to his lips and drinking from it occasionally.

"When Mr. Matsui. Your uncle, Han Matsui summoned me to come apply for this job, I felt it only obvious that I would accept it. That is virtualy what I know. Mr, Matsui summoned me, told me to come see you, I packed my bags and well..." Molly looked down at herself dramaticly, "And here I am." Offering up a small smile, Molly put her hands down with a light slap in a very final fashion.

“I see.” Jaydn watched Malika as she spoke, curious as to what type of person she was. “May I ask why it was ‘only obvious’ that you should accept a offer from us? As I’m sure you’re aware of, we are not the safest of clients.”

Molly was glad Jaydn asked this question, giving her to opportunity to make herself clear. "I am not sure what position you think I am applying for, and I do not know if you have looked over my resume. But my line of work is no more dangerous here than in a firm. I do not break the law Mr. Matsui, I bend it." Molly slipped a sly grin onto her face to look as coniving as she sounded.

Jaydn returned the grin, “That’s good to hear. I’d prefer to have as little trouble as possible with the law. Now do you typically work on your own?”

"I dont usually require assistance. The few times I have Ive gotten the assistance from a very short list of specialists I knowin a... lets say 'personal' copacity." Molly gave a short pause to let Jaydn consider what she said, then added, "I will obviously need to work in a more classified manor here."

Jaydn nodded. “As many who know me will tell you, I will very rarely work with those outside of our groups if I can help it. I’m afraid trust is hard to come by, I’m sure you’ll understand. Should you ever need assistance, feel free to call upon Maddox. In the case that he is unable to help you, he will be able to find someone who can.”

"I see, so Maddox will be available to assist me at any hour? I was under the assumption that he was your personal aid?"

Jaydn scoffed, "My personal aid?" He gave a short laugh. "No, Maddox will help me with what I need but he is also available to whoever else needs it. In conflicting times for tasks, it is simply a matter of who has the higher priority."

Molly was unable to conceal her surprise at what Jaydn said. "I see, and Maddox does this by himself?" Molly realised she had asked the wrong question and gave Jaydn no chance to answer before asking, "You trust him to be involved in every aspect of your oporation?"
