Lieutenant Rakovanite Rolls: 10 + 2
Fettelite's arms wrapped around him the second the captain's eyes landed on him, and Rakovanite blinked, circling an arm around him in response to pat his back. "There is nothing to fear," he murmured. Besides uncertainty, he supposed, and knowing that something as unruly as magic could be behind this certainly opened up a lot of alternatives beyond 'live' or 'die.' Still, Rakovanite expected those were among the most likely of options. And one over the other mattered little, in the grand scheme of things.
It seemed as though there were many glowing beacons fumbling around in the darkness, besides just the two of them. And as far as Rakovanite could tell from this distance, they were all targets.
"I have not been hit." But as the words left his mouth, the world lurched to the side, and he stumbled, sinking low in a futile attempt to keep his balance. Futile, in that for all his efforts, it was nothing to contend with the pressure of something grabbing and yanking on him, dragging him down as though if to pull him into a deeper abyss and Rakovanite could not even see to fight it.
He fumbled, lashing out with an open hand as if to knock... whatever it was away before clambering messily back toward the same level as Fettelite. But there was something behind him, something near and snapping as if herding him forward, and there was nothing to do to prevent it besides obey.

Gryphon Tate Rolls: 10 + 3
He hadn't known what to expect when he scooped Landry near to him. That earful he'd been about to get just a few moments prior, before they'd been dragged away, probably. But for just a second, the smaller man buried in closer to him, and Gryphon gave him a tighter squeeze and a much softer kiss to his temple in in response. They were alright. Even in all this weirdness, nothing too terrible had happened yet. "S'alright, Lan..." He repeated, dutifully setting blondie back on his feet and giving him a quick 'dusting off' down the back of his spine.
Before his bright sunny gaze found the form of another girl standing with them. "Oh. Hullo." He'd always been told how little Landry preferred almost anyone's company, but the girl did know blondie's name, so, he grinned. "You one of Lan's friends?" One of those ones he always said he didn't have, but Gryphon knew better than to believe all that after Winter. "You can call me Gryph if you want. And ah. Yeah." He couldn't see anymore now than he could before he'd found Landry and Daphne, but it certainly felt like there was more than just people glowing in the dark lurking around.
It was hard to ignore the sensation that his Lan was some variant of nervous, though. He blinked down at the other man, reaching a hand to brush against his arm. "You wanna go see if we can meet up with a couple others? Seems like it might not be as dark if there's more glowing around."
But whether he wanted to go somewhere or not, it didn't seem to matter. The ground shifted beneath them, ripping open to whatever degree darkness could open and dragging at him as though he had something it wanted. He snatched his hands away from Landry and scrambled over- over weird shadowy blackness objects? He didn't know. He couldn't see. Everything looked like nothing.

Landry Croix Rolls: 8 + 9
"Friend? Not quite. That girl is just some... Friend with benefits of Lori's. You know how she is. I have no interest at all in her, nor her friendship, but... I suppose since Lori is fond of her, we shouldn't simply let her die." Even as he was sat down, Landry had no sympathy for the girl that was with them. Lori wasn't here to tell him otherwise.
And Gryphon... Well, he was still Gryphon, it was hard no to feel some sort of comfort with a man as large as he was around. A man who seemed to roll with the punches, no matter how strange and terrifying it seemed. The kisses and those gentle words helped alot too, if only because it made his face flair up red and temporarily forget about the darkness around them.
With his best effort given, he stood up straighter, though remained very much close to his 'protector'.
"Calm yourself down, Daphne. Panicking and freaking out will get you no where. But I agree, the more people the better so let's--" Out of no where the ground began to shake. Trembling, crumbling all around them, and Gryphon pulled away as it began to separate between them. Somehow, Landry maintained his footing, holding his breath before reaching out to grab the larger man's arm and pull him steady, closer to him with as much force as he had.
"Steady now, Get back up on your feet! I most certainly won't let this disgusting darkness swallow you whole!" Daphne was far from his mind at this point, but surely she'd be fine.
After all, roaches always took immense efforts to kill.

Captain Fettelite Rolls: 3 + 10
"You haven't...? Good... Good, I'm glad..." Having Rakovanite so close was incredibly reassuring, and after only a few moments, Fettelite found himself able to pull away. Not that he wanted to, but... It seemed to be the best idea.
He needed to get better at standing on his own two feet! How else was he going to protect his friend after all that he had one for him already? That thought alone pushed him to summon his weapon to his hand again and use it to better steady himself.
Before he could say anything else, the world seemed to open right beneath their feet! It crumbled bit by bit away, but luckily for Fettel, it seemed his area was sturdy.
"Are you--" those creatures were after his dear friend, and panic came first, then action, with the Captain swinging his hammer at the weird shadowy things that were grabbing at Rako. He wasn't quite sure if he hit them or not, but it seemed enough to push them away, and in the next moment, Fettle grabbed the Lieutenant and pulled him safe into his arms again.
"I don't like this place!"

Guardian Cat Brioche Roll total: 6 + 2
"Being terrified isn't going to make things easier to deal with. As long as you can somehow keep that under control, then you'll be fine. And hopefully make judgments as neatly as possible." Judgments, specifically, that would keep her safe.
He was just a simple ol' cat.
Emphasis on old, for when the ground began to shake, he simply found himself scrambling and jumping upwards. Something grabbed his tail, yanked it hard and he hissed, gnashing his teeth at it before making a mad dash towards his small group.
No, he could not say he was scared, just incredibly offended that something could be so rude!

Squire Susquehanna Roll total: 7 + 10
No matter how hard he tried, it seemed the lights were going just as fast as he was. It was a little discouraging but... They moved and had the shape of other humans but so... He was hoping that sooner rather than later he'd finally get to see them up close.
Susquehanna did not scream exactly when all of a sudden a voice spoke to him out of nowhere. He grew very silent and still, his heart stopping in his chest before his mind registered just who exactly was speaking to him.
And when he did, he found himself able to breathe again, and even smile just a little bit.
"I'm - " He stopped, recalling Alexei's frequent scoldings of him apologizing too much. "I'm happy to see you, Mamertine, it's been so, so long... But it's a little scary knowing that I only get to see you like this.."
From his first fight against a monster to protect Alexei, to being caught in the mirrors. Each time felt like he was only causing trouble for the man, but he was always there. How very strange that was, but right now, he wasn't going to question it. Instead he desummoned his weapon and gave the man a small hug.
"It's really... Really good to see a familiar face here..." Just as he let the man go, the ground began to rumble, the very foundation quaking beneath his feet. And it moved, much like... much like a carousel.
But atleast those shadow creatures that brushed his skin, and scared the wits out of him were gone.
"... I'm fine, I swear just... It'd be really wonderful if you could stay by my side while we go through this... I trust you."

Anxo wanted to be the reassuring force he always aimed to be. Of course, right now he wasn't nearly as strong as Athene was, but, atleast he could try.
There was no helping the ground that crumbled under his feet, nearly sending him into that ocean of darkness below them.
Somehow he pulled himself up, and managed to return to Athene's side, but certainly more bruised and pained that he had been a few moments prior.
"I.. I think you're right. Let's keep moving. Lest something more dreadful than a tumble happens... Those hands that can grab you... It's quite terrifying, really." For his own comfort, he reached out to grab Athene's hand, and gently nudged him forward.
"Lead on, please."

RNG: 1 3Haven Sinclair
Haven did not get pulled into darkness on a daily basis, but she had enough experience with Destiny City’s many quirks to face their current predicament without much shock. (That, and she was very good at maintaining a blank face.) Getting stuck in the Negaverse’s lair with no hope of escape seemed infinitely more perilous than whatever this place was, and she’d dealt with that as a much younger girl. Sure, the near total darkness around them was a point of concern, as were the creatures that seemed to dwell there, but it was nothing to get bent out of shape about.
Not yet, anyway.
“Oh, I…” Haven paused, looking between Peter, Briar, and Sailor Lysithea as she tried to determine whether or not she wanted to reveal herself. There didn’t seem to be much harm in it considering Lysithea was clearly one of their own, but it was always awkward figuring out a way to say “lol you wouldn't know it at the moment, but I’m actually a Senshi, too” without 1) cluing more dangerous people into the information, or 2) coming off as slightly insane.
They really needed to figure out some sort of coded language to use in these situations.
“Yeah, we could use the help,” she said. “If I’d known we’d end up here tonight, I’d’ve worn my suit, but… I don’t know, I haven’t seen anyone else,” she added to answer Briar’s question. “Well, aside from us and all the other glowing people…”
Then the ground trembled and lurched, and conversation suddenly took a backseat as Haven tried to keep her footing. She braced herself against the quaking, but no amount of grace or fitness could keep her from stumbling around when the ground seemed to be splitting apart beneath her. She grabbed Peter’s arm for balance, only to stumble again and overcorrect, falling toward Lysithea next, before tumbling and landing on the ground as something grabbed and pulled at her feet as if attempting to drag her away. She kicked out but still couldn’t see, and struggling free took some effort, especially as she had to avoid falling pieces of something else in the process.
Somehow, Haven managed to haul herself back onto her feet, pulling up from the splitting ground, looking hastily from side to side to make sure her companions were still with her. The shadow creatures continued to draw near even as the world around them was in obscured chaos. She could hear their footfalls and their breathing, feel them nipping closer and closer.
“We need to get out of here,” she called to the others — which, okay, yes, that was totally obvious.
So she was great at seeming unaffected by things, and not so great at communicating anything. Whatever. She didn’t have a lot of friends.
“Come on,” she said, and tried to direct everyone toward the center of… wherever they were.

Captain Aquamarine
“We’re going to need something better than ‘don’t swing that around’ and ‘let’s get out of here,’” Aquamarine snapped back at Ilian — not annoyed so much as concerned by that fact that Ilian was powerless here, but as always with Aquamarine it was difficult to tell the difference unless you were… well… Ilian. Otherwise concerned and annoyed tended to seem like the same thing.
Sneering and scoffing, Aquamarine began to pick his way through the darkness as carefully as possible, grabbing hold of Ilian’s arm to ensure they remained close enough for him to be able to defend the both of them from the lurking creatures. He felt the ground shaking, but he didn’t slip or stumble, and the path forward remained clear. There was nowhere to go except for the center, which seemed to be spinning, but as the outer reaches of the area appeared to be in danger of falling in on them, Aquamarine saw no other option.
“The fact that I don’t even know who the ******** to blame for this makes it even worse,” he said, tone as close to conversational as it was going to be in this situation. “******** everything. ******** you. ******** me. ******** this city. ******** the Senshi. Especially the one who—…”
Out of concern and perhaps even a shred of some actual respect for Ilian, Aquamarine did not finish saying “the one who killed your brother,” though it was probably obvious that was where his thoughts were going. If it wasn’t for that b***h, he could have lived in blissful ignorance.
Or been dragged here as a civilian instead. Since that was a thing.

Daphne Emmerson4 + 7Daphne listened to Landry’s words with a frown and a feeling of deep loathing began to bubble up inside of her. This guy was a stupid p***k and if he got trampled to death by whatever the hell was moving behind her…then he damn well deserved it.
She didn’t say another word, but sped off, eager to be away from the shaking and quaking ground several times she reached up to rub at her eyes, blaming her own fear of the situation, and her own helplessness of being stuck here as a civilian for the hot tears that kept welling up inside of them.
This was something that could have started bonds forming but…whatever. All that mattered is that she survived this. Landry could choke on a marble so far as she was concerned. She had survived the loss of her twin; Lori could very well do the same.
There was a small glowing something ahead of her, and when she realized it was a cat she moved to help, scooping the large white creature into her arms. “Hey! I’ve got you…poor thing…”
She didn’t realize it wasn’t just a normal cat…she just knew she wanted to help.Kyuseisha no Hikari SORRY U NOT REACHIN UR SENSHI OOPS

Lysithea4 + 8Lysithea didn’t want to admit the wave of relief that she felt when the three civilians accepted having her help. It made her feel like she now had a reason to be here…other than the normal reason of the strange wheel of fate choosing her for this…trial of the city.
“All right. Well!” She hesitated as the ground shifted beneath her, and she tried to catch the dark haired girl and the red haired boy as they fell, worry all over her face, though everything was hard to see in this stupid darkness. At least whatever…whoever? Was in the dark didn’t seem to be there anymore, but…
She stared off for a moment, tilting her head as she saw strange lights in the distance, like candles going on and being blown out a moment later. Was it more strange shadow ghosts?
The senshi swallowed, wishing that there were more people that she knew around. What if these civilians didn’t want to listen to her? Or what if…
“I do believe we need to move right now. Are you all okay? Ah, Peter, Briar and Haven. If any of you got hurt by that, I don’t mind carrying you…though, Peter you might be too tall…if my eyes aren’t tricking me, over there looks as though it isn’t breaking up, and I think we should hurry…”

Tinaksite9 + 8Tinaksite had no idea where they even were, let alone having any idea of just how to get out of here…
But she forced a smile onto her face and reached to take one of Laven’s hands, holding it tightly. “Do not worry! We will get out, I do not know how, but we will get out! I am strong, and…” She glanced to Wolframite and gave an apologetic smile. “…he is also strong…I am very sorry for hitting you. I was worried for my friend…she is important.”
It seemed as though the world chose that moment to…to start to shrink, and the captain’s eyes widened as she saw cracks appearing in the ground around them, whipping her head around, so confused as to what was going on. There was strange, haunting music, and it seemed like things were…almost stable just ahead a little. “…We should go there…It seems like it is not shrinking there. I will protect you, Laven. I will protect you.”
Tinaksite worked hard to inject confidence into her voice and squeezed the half youma’s hand. “…We will protect you.” She glanced at Wolframite, hoping that he would agree with what she was saying, even though she had no idea what was going on.

Capt. Wolframite He looked over at her and breathed out. Laven wasn't going to make it long this way. She was already shutting down badly, but having another friend was an asset in keeping her moving and having an extra set of eyes incade something happened. It was hard to fight and also make sure nothing happened to Laven but with her between him and Tina then they had a much better chance.
There were still some measures he could do.
Taking off one of his earrings, he leaned over and tried his hardest to manipulate the tiny little object into Laven's ear. Usually this would result in failure as he had a hard time. Nothing successful and nearly dropping it, he gave her the earring. "Put it on. I want you to focus on me, okay? This isn't my first alien, weirdo, holiday craziness. We'll get through this."
And as soon as it was said, the ground started to split and there was a strange feeling as if they were in a chamber that was crushing in. Everything was turning from the center like a rotating gears and he noticed that this was all wood. The carousel music continued.
Carousel.
"It's a carousel." He said, looking around. He saw no horses though. Where those the dark shadows? But they felt more like beasts then horses.
Tina pointed at them to the center and he smiled to her. "Better there then here. We need to move." He watched them both. "Tina, get her other side. Laven, stick between us."
As much as he hated feeling forced to one place and how this could be a trap, there was no other choice now. They had to go.
Something moved against him, pushing his back, and he lashed out to find nothing. The creatures wanted them to move too and wished he didn't have to go that way and that there were other options. For now, they just had to comply.
