Kayne hummed when Patrick mentioned that he was a Diviner. "Ah, that's quite intriguing, to say the least," he replied, having a hint that he may be not as always as what he may seem to be. The further questions about the raiment may wait if the student would feel a bit more comfortable. At the question about Lerato, he grinned sheepishly. "I have to say, he has a lot of stuff to do aside from being a music tutor. You may say that his schedule's full," that was all he could comment about Lerato. Mainly, it may be to keep his mind off the emotional distress. Still, the chef was hoping that the court mage would be okay.
But now, as time passed by, there were further discussions for the arrangements for the potential show, depending on whether the performer would agree or not. But nonetheless, most of them were on common ground, and it would be a good thing for Kayne. No matter what the decisions, the chef would respect them, for the sake of future business proposals.

Patrick Lockheart ~ The Jolly Tavern and Inn ~
With his violin already packed away, there was little more for Patrick to do than hear what Kayne had to say - the man hadn't exactly introduced himself by name, but having overheard one of the female refer to him as 'Kayne' Rick presumed this was what he was to call him.
With the show over, Rick would bow his head in gratitude to the chef, picking up his violin and taking his leave to make use of the day whilst he had it before making his way back when the daylight started to fade - he needed time to set up and would do so as the inn started to fill.
Rick had only a few things that made him uncomfortable and performing to a crowd certainly wasn't one of them. As the Patrons filed in, he would start off with a few instrumentals, getting the crowd ready before breaking into his favourite songs. They seemed to be real fans of stringed instruments and the night would pass by so quickly that Rick was almost disappointed that the Inn had to close.
He wasn't entirely sure when Kayne would expect him back, but as he'd mentioned about it being the start of a 'Blossoming Career' he hoped his services would be called upon again soon.
If the relative parties had remained until the evening show had ended, Rick would bit farewell to Emma and Philia before heading back to the Academy to rest.

Philia spend most of the day in the Tavern, some of the time conversing with the Bar Maid, Emma, as well as buying the odd drink. the atmospheric music from the strange boy sure distracted the woman from the flow of time at least. The sheer amout of people would flucuate throughout the day, most drawn by the music or the alcohol... Regardless it was a rather simple, nice day. Not to mention she at least gained some new information, most notably just advice on getting around the City... Shouldn't be much trouble now.
Once ready she would take her glass to the bar to hand it over, give them one less table to clean up. Beside the glass she left her usual payment for her room before heading away, flashing a wave to the staff while she went to turn in.

"Just another day." Ishitari huffed. She lied in her room for the time being. Stretched out ok the bed as the body of the young refugee and her many supplies and drops from many people. Without anything to do with her newfound freedom life appeared quite boring and uninteresting. All she could do was to roam around after volunteering at the tailor shop and be bored. Her feet kicked the air as her back sunk into the mattress. Entef was perched on his roost, which was actually just a small rack where clothes were normally hung upon. Ishitari's eyes moved to a sleeping bird and then outside as she felt her eyes begin to close. It was a valiant effort but soon she nodded off.
She came to back in her "home", standing beside her Mother as the two would be helping prepare a feast of some kind by the looks of it. Her hands moved in a rythym that was known to all but her. "You're falling behind, Nanu." Her mother said in a frustrated tone. Even if she sounded so angry, it felt so heartwarming to hear it after all this time. A flood of emotion flowed inside of her. Had she the power and ability, she would wrap her arms around her mother and embrace her for the rest of the day. "Y-Yes, Mother. Sorry." She apologized and continued from where she had left off. Hands prepared the dough which was fluffed and made soft by tending to it. Her mother would pass her the cooked and ground meat to place inside of the dough. It was frightening how much she got back into habit of this. Still, she didn't want her Mother to get annoyed with her. They continued on for a while before Ishitari would drop the dough and hug the woman. Her mother returned the hug as the two were stuck in a warm embrace. "I miss you. Alot." Ishitari admitted, hiding her tear ridden face in her mother's clothes. She could feel the gentle touch of her hands stroking her head as she used to do when she was young. "I know, Nanu. I know." The hug lasted for what felt like an eternity until the sounds of armed people came from the dining hall. Ishitari's heart fell at the realization that they would be punished. She hid behind her mother just as they broke down the door. The guards approached as she closed her eyes and waited...
Ishitari opened her eyes to be greeted back by the sight of the room she was in previously. Entef still remained perched and napping. "I-It was just a dream." The girl slowly sat up and noted the remnants of tears on her face. She wiped them away and scolded herself for letting her guard down. Ishitari stuck the glove back in its place on her hand and gently awoke the sleeping merlin prince. With him awake on perched on her hand as always they moved outside to see what they could find.
Emma yawned wide as she leaned against the counter at the bar. Her tea was cold, and she was still groggy even though it was approaching mid-morning. Groaning lightly, she sighed as she slipped from her seat and grabbed her empty plate and half full tea cup. Heading around the end of the bar, Emma walked into the Tavern’s kitchen and over to the sink to wash her dishes.
Emma took her time washing them. The Tavern wasn’t very busy, and it was her day off anyway, so she could do whatever she wanted without having to worry about her customers. With the Academy’s classes resumed, the city was a little less lively, since the students were seeing to their studies, at least during the day. At night, the Tavern was its usual, lively self, which meant lots of money for the tavern and Emma. Her savings was growing steadily, much to her delight. She didn’t know how long it would take, but she hoped to open her own business within a year or two.
Drying her dishes, she replaced them on the shelves and headed back into the main dining area of the tavern. Giving Kayne a little nod and smile, she headed for the door, hoping that a little fresh air would wake her up better than her tea had.
Today, the tavern was less busy thanks to most students being busy at the academy. With Emma departing to the outside world, the place was less hectic; his mother was feeling better thanks to the remedy, so it was back to the usual business in the establishment. While Kayne would be busy cooking for the patrons occupying the rooms, which was only few in numbers, the lady was busy doing the laundry, and the father would carry barrels and boxes of ingredients. So far, there were no orders since the kitchen was well-stocked, so for now, everything was in good hands. Such tranquility was a rare feeling indeed, with no people instigating a brawl within the premises, or even the smell of puke wafting all over the place. The chef was just done cooking for his parents alongside the customers who were waiting for the food, since they were now hungry, and even served them the tea.
He then washed the cooking utensils and pans since there were no more orders aside from the breakfast he cooked. Kayne then stared at the sky through the kitchen windows as he wiped his hands with a towel. Definitely, it was a perfect day to head outside, but right now, he was content with staying inside the confines of the kitchen. Maybe he should visit the bookstore tomorrow for a recipe book since he hadn’t been in there for a long while.

((entering from the academy courtyard)) --And as it turned out, that was actually the reason why the titans they feared so much were appearing within the walls the entire time. Azura would say to Nora as the two would walk together into the inn. Here, the place would have its usual faces of the chef Kayne. He knew of Azura and his friend's recent escapades, and his many apologies for his friends getting drunk over the summer break. Usually Emma would be here too, but she would sometimes be off with that one guard who was extremely muscular to the point where it somewhat threw Azura off that she wasn't a Shifter Knit. Still, Azura would greet Kayne. Good morning, Kayne. So I'm guessing we're your early birds? Azura asked, as he would go in.

"Woah, that's really interesting!" Nora said with a smile as she listened to Azura's story as they entered an inn. The inn had countless windows that filtered in natural lighting around several tables covered with food and different kinds of drinks. As Azura walked towards someone with dark hair and red eyes, Nora followed behind him and smiled politely at the man. "This place is really cool," Nora mumbled as she admired the layout of the building. "Is it normally busier than this?"

Truthfully, yeah. Well, it's only morning after all. Azura would say as he sat at a table. As he would sit, azura would then talk to Nora about his life on the island, the very few friends he made, all that stuff. The only thing he would never mention is his knit, as all he would say, is that it enhances his durability. If anything, Azura didn't want her rp be so distant on him about his raiment being that rare and somewhat deadly. But Azura never experienced anything that life threatening before. Instead, Azura would usually talk about the funny things thst happened to him in the academy, while listening to Nora. It was great he could make a new friend this time. Still, as she would talk, Azura couldn't help but think how cute she was. Although, Azura would hold off on doing anything like that due to past events when he was younger. Time drew near, as Azura would have to go. Anyway, it's getting late. I had a lot of fun. Azura would tell her. Want me to walk you home? Azura asked, as he got up and went with Nora back to the dorms. ((Exits to next day))

Nora listened attentively to all of Azura's stories, adding her own commentary here and there or telling her own stories of when she would go to the trade markets with her parents and all the stories people would tell. She was curious to know what his raiment is, but she didn't push it any further when Azura said it increased his durability, as she didn't really want to reveal hers either. After a while, Nora glanced out a window and noticed that it had gotten dark quickly. "I had a lot of fun, too. Thank you for showing me around today, Azura!" Nora smiled as they both stood up to leave the Tavern and Inn. "U-um, yeah sure." Nora blinked in surprise and reached up to scratch her nose with her whole hand, mostly to cover the blush that was creeping onto her cheeks. Back home, Nora wasn't really given any special treatment or treated 'like a girl' whenever she played with the other kids so she was taken aback when Azura offered to walk to her back to the dorms. "That's really sweet actually..." She thought with a shy smile as they started walking towards the dorms together, happy from making a new friend today.

The days had begun to blend together. Emma wasn’t even sure how long it had been since she’d last seen Sarai or spent time with her beloved guard. It saddened her to think that so much time might have passed without so much as a word from her loved one. Emma understood that the guards were very busy, but at the same time, she felt a bit neglected. Emma would periodically stop by the barracks to see if Sarai was available, but she’d been having some very bad luck. Once, Sarai had been in the middle of drills, another time, out on patrol and yet another time she was gone on an assignment. It just seemed like it wasn’t meant to be, as sad as that thought made her.
Pouting to herself, Emma sat at the Jolly Tavern and Inn’s bar, looking into her empty tea cup. Today was supposed to be a day off, but Emma didn’t really feel like leaving the tavern and exploring the marketplace like she normally would. No, maybe a nice long bath and a nap would be best…she needed time to think.
Sarai is dreading coming to the tavern. She cannot recall the last time she has seen Emma, but she knows it has been far too long since they last spent time with each other. How many times can she do this to her? It should not be this way, and she cannot keep bringing gifts and act like her confident self to earn her forgiveness. Today will be a different approach. She will go into the tavern, find Emma, and own up to her mistakes. No cute words, no compliments, no gifts. If this shall be the end of their relationship, Sarai has no one to blame but herself. She has no time to waste, so she made her way to the tavern soon after training. The guard did not take a bath nor change out of her armor. Her training pushed her to the limits, so some parts of her body had some visible injuries, such as a bloody nose and a cut on the left cheek. She had to wait outside for a minute to catch her breath and build her nerves. Once she walked into the tavern, her eyes scanned the room for Emma. When he found her, she slowly approached her and stopped when she was about two feet away from her. At first, the guard said nothing and nervously scratched the back of her head. Then she took one deep breath before saying what she had to say,
"This would be the part where I say something clever or cute along with presenting a gift to hopefully ease my way into your good graces...but I don't think that is a viable option anymore. As important as my duties are, it should not keep me away from you for so long. I have no one to blame but myself for this. I do not expect you to forgive me...but I am sorry for not being with you as often as I should. Please...please understand that I truly love you and I think of you always."
﴾.I am a strong woman. My strength is not my muscles Nor is it my skills But the heart of a warrior within. 2ND|LIEUTANENT﴿
The last person Emma expected to come into the tavern was Sarai. But even so, as she turned to face the guard, she couldn’t help but gasp in alarm. It wasn’t that she was surprised to see her beloved, no, it was the physical state that her beloved was in that made her gasp and her eyes go wide with shock and concern. Even as Sarai spoke, all Emma could see was the blood on Sarai’s face and the various cuts and bruises. What the hell had happened!?
As Sarai spoke, Emma shook her head slowly her mouth hanging open slightly. “Sarai….? What happened to you?” Looking up into her eyes, Emma didn’t give off a vibe of irritation, hatred, or distrust. No, all Emma felt was concern and the need to help. Reaching out, she took Sarai’s hand in her own.
“Come with me…” When Sarai looked like she might protest, Emma shook her head and placed her index finger on Sarai’s lips. “Shhh…we’ll talk when Im ready.” Emma stated firmly as she led the way upstairs and towards the bathing chamber which housed several large tubs. Stepping inside, Emma shut the door behind them, taking care to lock it for privacy.
“Strip down and get into the tub. I won’t be persuaded to forgo caring for you, so don’t even think about it…I want you cleaned up and bandaged, then we’ll talk…” Tying her hair back, Emma rolled up her dress sleeves and began to fill the tub with warm water for Sarai to soak in.
Sarai should have known that Emma would have this sort of reaction upon seeing the guard in the state that she is in. For her, the blood, bruises, cuts, and scars were all normal. They are a part of her life, be it training or actual times were she is forced to get physical. That is not the norm for someone like Emma. When is a barmaid asked to do the things that Sarai does? She can't imagine it ever happens, but there is a chance on extremely rare occasions. Emma's current attitude does not leave any cause for alarm from Sarai's perspective, although that is most likely due to the barmaid's concern for the guard's wellbeing taking priority over their relationship problems. Before Sarai can refuse Emma's offer, her soft index finger was placed upon the guard's slightly chapped lips. Together they went upstairs and into the bathing chamber. With the door shut behind them and locked, the two of them have plenty of privacy. Sarai was asked to strip down and get into one of the tubs. They already come this far, and trying to refuse at this point will not work. After a deep sigh, she removed every piece of her armor until there was nothing but the bandages that bound her chest and wrapped other parts of her body such as her thighs and forearms. The cuts, bruises, scars, and other injuries that could not be seen before were now revealed. Years of training and fighting are on display, along with tribal tattoos on her back and right shoulder to right forearm and a flower tattoo in front of her left shoulder. Once Sarai was made completely vulnerable, she dipped herself into one of the bathtubs, breathed deeply once, and said,
"I...I meant to do this earlier. I just feared that I was running out of time...again...so I came here just after my training...I will admit that I been pushing myself beyond my limits recently...but I am doing it to get stronger...It's something I need to do. Otherwise...I would be letting everyone down..."
﴾.I am a strong woman. My strength is not my muscles Nor is it my skills But the heart of a warrior within. 2ND|LIEUTANENT﴿
Emma couldn’t help but stare as Sarai finally shed the last of her garments. She had known that her girlfriend had had tattoos, but she hadnt realized how extensive they were. She felt her cheeks pinken a little. Emma wanted a tattoo…Luckily for Sarai, Emma was too distracted by the ink to see all of the bruises, cuts, scars, etc. that littered her once perfect skin. But Emma wouldn’t fail to notice them for too too long…
Moving to the side of the tub, Emma helped wet Sarai’s hair and put some shampoo in to begin gently washing it. Frowning a little at Sarai’s words, Emma shook her head. “You act as if you aren’t already the strongest warrior in the barracks. I know that the men call you… ‘The Demon Drill Sargent’. They come in here moaning and groaning about the drills you put them through and I can tell you, you are a demon, Sarai.” Emma said only slightly teasing.
“You aren’t going to let anyone down…The only person that you could possibly let down is yourself, Sarai…and maybe….me too.” Sighing, she washed Sarai’s hair, her fingers gently scraping her scalp as she washed away the dirt and grime. “You seem so concerned with things that hardly need worry and yet you neglect things that do need your concern…like us.” Not just ‘me’, but ‘us’. To Emma, if they were a couple, then they were a team. To neglect one of them was to neglect them both and that wasn’t fair at all…
