Autumn found yet another game that she was completely unfamiliar with. She had to watch what others were doing first before she tried to play. They were placing bets and watching a screen, and sometimes there'd be a payout. The grovyle didn't quite understand, but placed a bet on ... something. She wasn't even sure. Luckily, the Rapidash she happened to pick got second place, and she was rewarded 5 tokens. Next up was something that seemed more simple. Bobbing for berries. Unfortunately, she only managed to get one Razz berry when she dunked her head in. Better luck next time, she supposed. Autumn tucked the berry and single token away before trying to find a place that she might be able to get some maple candy.

With something to look forward after the fair Olivia sat in the train in appreciative silence, trying to create a list of the towns and places of interest they could visit during their time in Hoenn. Obviously, they couldn't see everything the region had to offer, so it'd be important to just think on the most convenient, area wise, and what would actually interest Vince. Cayenne bobbed her head up and down, glad to hear that Huang Chen also believed that Lin would assistance them-- she was just that nice of a pokemon! "I bet you'll be off punishment in a blink of the eye, with both me and Lin helping you!" she proposed, still cheerful. Upon their arrival Olivia headed off the costume stall with Vince's direction, assuring him that she would return within a timely manner. She'd noticed a few games, however, and before her departure she suggested that Poppy and Cayenne try a few of them, they looked like they'd be fun and pokemon friendly. As she'd promised it didn't take long for Olivia to return to Vince, donned in her new knightly outfit.
"Why thank you, sire." Olivia bowed at Vince's comment, unable to help but grin. "Of course not, your dragons aren't terrorizing the town or trying to kidnap the princess." She straightened back up and brushed a stray strand of hair out of eye, giving her shoulders a glance when Vince pointed out that her exposed shoulders weren't the most.. practical. "Who knows, maybe a bit of exposed skin might distract my enemies long enough for me to deliver the final blow," she suggested jokingly, giving her shoulders an experimental roll. Even if it wasn't the most convincing, she was rather glad her costumes didn't cover her shoulders, it was a bit too hard for complete coverage. "I did." Olivia confirmed his assumption with a nod of the head before looking out, trying to spot the duo amongst the few game stalls available. When she spotted them both at a bean bag toss she looked away, satisfied that they were safe and, from what it looked like, having fun. "They have a prize booth here? Huh, that's cool. Maybe I'll let them buy a gift if they earn enough," she suggested and then moved off to the side to look at the prize booth Vince had mentioned. To her surprise they didn't have the medieval themed stuffed animals she'd expected, but rather a large quantity of trainer items, all useful. While she looked it over she listened to Vince explain both the area they were in now and the few others the fair had to offer, perking up when he mentioned a stage area. "Why don't we head to the stage area?" She imagined a few plays and performances would be there for them to see, and she was rather interested to see both.
While waiting for Vince's answer Olivia turned her gaze back to the prize booth, this time noticing that there was a lottery in place and items could be traded in for tickets. Intrigued, she gave some thought to her options before she withdrew a few items from her sack-turned-makeshift-bag. There were those chocolates that trainer in Viola's gym had given her, and although it was a rather sweet gesture she knew never to eat anything given to her by a stranger, and the Infestation TM Viola had granted her after defeating her; she didn't have any bug type pokemon on her team, so as generous as the photographer had been the disc ultimately took up space. That, coupled with a heart scale she managed to pull out, and Olivia managed to come up with twelve tickets to place into the lottery.

Things were starting to turn around, at least in Poppy's eye. Since Olivia hadn't specified how many games they should play she and Cayenne were simply returning to the same games to try their luck at them. Much to Poppy's pleasure she'd managed to make a comeback in the bean bag toss and was now back at it with the shatter the platter game, able to get her aim just right and with enough force behind it to break all three plates. Feeling rather mighty the mini caregiver swaggered to the crossbow game, able to... well, she was able to hit the target each time! And! One bow had even almost hit the center, she was really getting better!

Of course, with such good luck going for them, it was only a matter of time before their luck ran out. The first sign of such an epidemic was when Cayenne went to make another bet on a race, this one featuring humans with.. very long sticks, and only came back with two tokens, as her choice had gotten last place. Unfortunately, Poppy didn't have much room to brag after she returned with only four tokens and four, still wet, Lum berries. She still held tightly to the three Rawst berries she'd received from her earlier attempt, which left her with virtually no room to hold anything else, or even see ahead of her. "Let's head back," Poppy decided and then gingerly began to toddle back into the direction she believed Olivia was in. Cayenne nodded before she followed after, directing her teammate so that she wouldn't bump into anything or anyone.

Sylvia's eyes narrowed when Kai took it upon himself to make himself taller than her, which she of course took as a challenge. It was going to take some time getting used to, since she'd lost all her limbs at this point-- something she was displeased in, since that meant she couldn't punch--but she managed to coil the rest of her body up and bring herself taller. After she had added another few inches to herself she turned around to look at Inari, unsure of the... odd fox creature's intentions, but disapproving either way.
Apollo nodded when Leon confirmed that his girlfriend had yet to arrive, something he wasn't necessarily pleased about but not too upset either. He agreed to his suggestions of playing a few games while they waited, in the process mentioning finding a costume to wear, and then stepped over to said game, able to win a good amount of tokens from just the two he tried. Before Apollo tried his luck he turned to the spare Eevee he now found himself with, intended to determine just where it'd come from. "Hey there, did you lose your trainer?" he questioned, figuring that if this was a domestic pokemon he'd try and find its owner. Eevee shook his head then flopped onto Pearl's tail playfully, surprising the other fox. Apollo pursed his lips gently at the response, so did that mean this was a wild Eevee then? Had it followed Pearl onto the train when it'd saw another Eevee?
While Apollo pondered this Sylvia took it upon herself to try the same two games Leon had, hoping that this brief exercise would help her get used to her new form quicker. From what she could tell she'd now completely reliant on her tail, which was rather responsive and dexterous. With a satisfied hiss she was able to sink all three bean bags into a hole, her efforts winning her seven tokens. Lifting the very tip of her tail Sylvia gave it an experimental flick and then roll. Satisfied with the control she was able to display she moved over to the catapulting game and, with a bit of difficulty, managed to wrap a good portion of her tail around the catapult and pull back, releasing it and then watching as it flew a perfect 10 feet, earning herself another 7 tokens. Oh man! She was good! This was almost as fun as battling-- almost!

Sylvia moved on to the next few collection of games, trying to ignore the way her underbelly slid across the ground. It was uncomfortable per se, rather... it was just difficult to get used to the feeling of moving around on the ground, and what happened if she ever got to a particularly rough or jagged surface? Back when she had feet she would've been okay, maybe it'd be a bit uncomfortable but she'd been able to imagine, but now with this... serpentine body of hers, wouldn't she just get scratched up and cut? That didn't sound too pleasant. In an attempt to distract herself from her own thoughts Sylvia tried her hand-- or rather tail-- at another set of games, unable to get a as many tokens as she had with her first two games, but had more than made up for it, in her mind at least, when she tried a crossbow game; which was... far more difficult than she could've imagined. It'd been a rather odd position too, holding the bow in between her mouth and using her tail to draw back the string, it'd certainly made the attendant raise an eyebrow. But her accuracy hadn't been too off, surprisingly, and she managed to slither away with 11 tokens.

Unsure what to do with the collection of tokens she'd managed to collect Sylvia slithered back over to Apollo long enough to deposit her winnings, giving them to the bright-haired man before she was off once more, determined to try a few more games before Apollo himself became invested. At the sound of hooves stomping and cheers Sylvia found herself moving towards a race track, where a few Rapidash were waiting eagerly to begin... well, running she assumed. It took some time for her to process it but eventually the Serperior figured out that she could place bets on a certain horse and, depending on where their placed after the race, could win even more tokens. Going on a whim she picked one horse that seemed particularly fired up--pun intended--and with her tail indicated that that was the Rapidash she wanted to bet on. There must've been something in her eye, however, or perhaps she'd mistaken determination for laziness, it had to be one of the two considering that her pick ended up in third place.
Disappointed in both the horse and herself Sylvia moved away and began moving through the crowd until yet another game caught her eye. This one seemed simplistic enough, dunk your head into a barrel and try to collect as many berries as you could. With her new height she reached the barrel with ease and when the whistle was blown she shoved her head in, sending out quite a bit of water sloshing out onto the ground in her eagerness. When the time was up she'd managed to grab six berries, all of which she ate when she found out that she could keep them afterwards.

Chansey could feel her pouch getting a bit heavy. Now that she thought about it, she wondered where Dustox had got off to.... Holding her hands near her belly, to help alleviate the weight, she turned back to Tye, who was looking at her curiously. "... Are the coins getting too heavy for you?" he asked, and managed to sound surprisingly polite at it. Chansey seemed to consider the question a bit. "Well... Perhaps just a tad, but I'll manage," she replied. He continued to consider her a moment, then nodded, turning to continue on. She deflated a bit. So sweetening up to him didn't work, and trying to be tough didn't work... Just what did work with this milotic?

Lin certainly hoped that her friends could help her with this stupid punishment. ("Absolutely! That's what friends are for right? Helping each other out~") Huang Chen smiled. After sending his pokemon off to earn tokens and taking a look around at a few booths, Vince turned to look over Olivia's new costume once she'd emerged from the costume changing tent, complimenting the new knight's armor she wore. The pinkette seemed quite pleased with herself and Vince's complements, giving a bit of a bow and calling him "sire". At that, Vince glanced away with an embarrassed chuckle. "Still pushing that are we?" He asked with a sheepish, lopsided smile. He shook his head, but wasn't really objecting, amused as she insisted that she wouldn't be trying to slay his dragons, since they weren't terrorizing the town or kidnapping princesses. "That's true.... For now." He grinned mischievously. No, he didn't plan on causing any sort of trouble, but it would be funny to imply that he would even consider doing anything of that sort. "....You know, there's a lot of misconceptions about that sort of thing." Vince mentioned soberly. "Dragons might be an aggressive race, but they don't usually target and attack areas or people without reason.... Humans for the longest time hunted dragons to near extinction because they were powerful, and to defeat one was a crowning achievement amongst certain groups of people, but in reality, it was little more than a massacre for grisly trophies, masquerading as something to be proud of." Vince said with disgust. "They attacked cities to protect their homes and families from the onslaught of human invasions, they captured princesses and other nobility because they were people of importance to use as bargaining chips." He suggested.
Vince blinked, realizing he was getting a little dark and deep for what Olivia had proposed as just a joke, not that he expected her to know. "....Sorry, I didn't mean to dampen the mood. Don't concern yourself over it." He apologized, since looking at Olivia she looked rather lost in thought, her brows knit in concentration. It was just a bit of a sore spot for him, and it didn't really matter anymore. Those times had long since passed, but as a dragon tamer, and given his family's history, he couldn't help but look back on it in distaste. Instead, he pointed out her lack of shoulder coverage, but of course Olivia took it in stride, suggesting that exposed shoulders could distract her enemies long enough to deliver the final blow. Vince chuckled at that. "Fair enough." He agreed, amused. He made sure to confirm that she had been the one to send her pokemon away game hunting, and with that settled, Vince relayed the information he had gathered by looking over the various booths nearby. Olivia seemed to have not noticed the prize booth, so Vince let her take a look, nodding as she suggested that she could let her pokemon pick out a gift if they earned enough tokens.
Next, he explained the different attractions around the fair, offering Olivia the choice for where to go next, since he didn't really have a preference. It all sounded good to him, and they would likely visit it all at least once, he just didn't have a preference where to start. After hearing all the options though, Olivia seemed interested in going to the staging area. "Alright, feel like seeing a play then I presume?" He smiled. A play did sound nice. First she noticed the lotto however, which was fine, he needed to go flag down his pokemon and make sure they were aware where they were going. Once Olivia was done submitting tickets to the lotto, and his pokemon were following to the next area, he started on his way.

After having sent Autumn off to play some games, Leon found himself searching the crowds in case Isis happened to show up. However, he decided after a while that he'd keep that in the back of his mind. For now, he was accompanied by Apollo, who was trying to figure out the whole second Eevee thing. Looking around, he noticed there were a few vendors that were selling costumes and various other articles of clothing. "Apollo, let's check out some of these places over here. Maybe we can find something nice to wear that better suits the fair." Leon suggested to his new friend, motioning over towards said vendors.
Autumn was having poor luck this round of games. She only got one bag in the hole with the bean bag toss, and the froakie only launched forward to about 5 feet. She collected her tokens, all the same, but was disappointed in herself. Hopefully she'd get more next time.

Cheria blushed a bit when Marx corrected them. Well, that was embarrassing. Shaking her head, she decided to not think about it too much. "I don't think the leagues would approve of trainers just trading gyms like that, but hey. Who knows?" And, just like that, the subject was changed and Marx was expressing his excitement for just about everything. Prize booths, the different attractions; he clearly didn't mind where they went so long as it was fun. Skye mentioned Nevermore and not wanting to steal him, though Cheria got the feeling that was exactly what he wanted to do. Oh, please no. If Skye teamed up with Nevermore, the flattery would never end. "Alright. Prize booths first then." Hearing Skye mention how easy to please they were, Cheria smiled at him. "That just means less work, doesn't it? No need for any extensive planning!" Cheria looked down when Qukoh'ya suddenly barked, jumping into her arms to avoid Lhilei. The Vulpix huffed and glared up at both him and her trainer irritably, taking a seat in front of her. "...Qukoh'ya, you should be nicer to Lhilei. She's our teammate now." Besides, the two clearly knew each other. What was up with that? "Vul." Qukoh'ya gave a surprisingly stern bark to the Vulpix. Almost as if she had said something rude. Had she? Cheria needed a translator like Pepeki. Oh, speaking of Pepeki, where was the little bird? She didn't think Skye would hold him in his ball. They seemed so close to each other.
Cayenne grinned and nodded. "Yup yup! That's exactly what friends do!" If she ever had a problem she'd certainly turn to her friends, though... at this point that was only Huang Chen, maybe Valerian too. Olivia reemerged from the changing tent with a confident stride, as any knight should hold, and upon approaching Vince inquired about her costume, then bowed to him when complimented, referring to him as 'sire' in the process. She laughed and then grinned in reflection of his own, lopsided, smile. "But of course, gotta be authentic." After moving to stand straight again Olivia assured Vince that she wouldn't be slaying any of his pokemon, they were well-behaved dragons after all-- well, except for that Tyrunt... but he was a work in progress. The pinkette smirked and quirked an eyebrow at Vince's teasingly foreboding remark. "Well, if they do do anything make sure it's towards the end of the fair, can't have them trashing the place when there's still time to enjoy it-- and expect some sort of punishment from me." She didn't believe for one second that Vince would ever allow his pokemon to run wild and destroy property, but it certainly was funny to think about. "Is it?" Olivia allowed her expression to relax as Vince began to explain how, in medieval times, dragons weren't the aggressors in their fight against man, as all her childhood storybooks would've led her to believe, but were simply defending themselves against the hunt of their kind. It was a tragic tale, and certainly a believable one, humans were known for their violence against... well, everything.
"Hm?" Olivia looked back up at Vince when he apologized, his comment jarring her out of her thoughts. "Oh, no. It's fine," she assured him, not even fully aware of the contemplative look displayed on her visage. "It's always nice to learn something new." Even if they hadn't known each other for very long it didn't take much time for Olivia to know that Vince felt passionately about the subjects on dragons, he was a dragon tamer after all, especially the ones that portrayed them in an ill light. Thinking too much on that portion of the past wouldn't do them any good, so for now Olivia put the new information in the back of her mind and turned her attention back to her costume, Vince having pointed out her bare shoulders. With a smile she turned what would be her armor's weak point into a, horribly inaccurate, tactile advantage, suggesting that the little skin that she did show was enough to distract her enemies-- which Vince agreed to. After checking in with her that she was indeed the one who sent her pokemon out Vince told her about the information he'd gathered while she'd been trading, the mention of a prize booth drawing her attention.
Olivia made a note to return to the booth station right before they left, hopefully they would've earned enough tokens by then to actually cash them in and collect an item or two, and at the same time listened as Vince explained the other areas available to them. It was all rather exciting, though at the moment the one area that truly jumped out at her was the staging area, and after turning to look back at Vince she suggested going there first. "You know it~" Olivia confirmed when Vince asked if she wanted to see a play. Though she wasn't the biggest person of skits and the like she was interested in seeing just what the fair could offer. Before they left the pinkette turned in a few tickets to the lotto, and in that time Poppy and Cayenne managed to find their way back to her, brandishing gifts in the form of tokens and berries. Olivia raised an eyebrow at the latter but took them nevertheless and slipped them into her bag before she picked them both up and followed after Vince.
