On the outside Skaalbjorn is a good hearted person who doesn't want to hurt people, on the inside though he is a cold blooded murderer who doesn't hesitate to make a meal of someone. He used to eat fish and greens until a Kalona taught him what he was and he followed his blood heritage. It started with small animals, rabbits and squirrels and then one day he killed someone and fed upon them. This scared him silly and he ran away from the corpse once he realized what he'd done. Still to this day he will not talk about it.

Skaalbjorn was born to a loving fluttercorn mother who doted upon her three children as often as she could without spoiling them. What he knows of his father could fit into a thimble. He only knows that he hates him with a passion, and that if he ever finds the stallion he will give him a peace of his mind.
Skaal was 'adopted' by a Kalona who taught him all he needed to know about the breed that made up half of him. This Kalona gave him knowledge and he eagerly drank it all in until he became something entirely different from what he was as a colt. He became a monster. Though his good self is mostly in place if he goes too long without flesh he becomes cranky and annoyed until he gets it.
