Now that her elephant was back to pounding on the bull, she could see that it was starting to get desperate with it's attacks. Stomping became a preferable action, as the elephant charged and then rose both of it's hooves up, stupidly exposing it's softer underbelly to the waiting bull before it came down on the animal with both of those front hooves and slammed it viciously. The attack left the bull prone on the ground, but now her elephant was bleeding from it's stomach, and she knew that meant it's time was almost up. Elephants had very tiny brains. She tsked at herself for not taking that into account when she drew it - but then again, she had no idea she would be actually using it to fight, when she'd drawn the wretched thing. Lost in thought, she hadn't noticed that the elephant had come back to her tree, and she was jarred out of her reverie when it slammed into the trunk, trying to knock her out of it so it could stomp her. She grabbed on to several inky branches with her tentacles, and held on tight, as her mind cleared once more. I'm sorry. I'm sorry! You are a good drawn animal. Okay? Just stop that, now.The elephant slammed against her trunk one last time, before bumbling off once more. There was one thing Riley and her elephant had in common. When things seemed bleakest, and the elephant was finally on it's last legs, figuratively speaking - it was then that the beast began to show it's true power. An earth shaking bellow accompanied the elephant as it charged the bull one final time, slamming into the creature so hard that the bull flew backwards, landing several dozen feet away on it's back. The elephant lifted up it's trunk victoriously, before it's front hooves finally gave in, and it crumbled to the ground. At first, it was simply on it's knees, but after a moment it tilted to one side, and fell with a vibrating thunk onto it's side. Riley jumped out of her tree immediately, bolting over to her elephant's bleeding side, before walking around to the face of the beast, and reaching her hands out to pat it down between it's eyes. Her elephant's job was done, and now it was her turn. So she headed over to the basket and grabbed one of the heavy nets, just in time to hold it up at her side when the bull pushed itself up to it's feet. She looked like a matador, tempting it forward with her net - and sure enough, the bull flared it's nostrils, pawed at the ground, and charged at her violently. Instead of catching it with the net, however, the bull rammed right through it, breaking it instantly. It skidded on it's hooves after it had outrun her by several feet, and turned, ready to charge again. Oops.Maybe matador style was not the best idea. I battled and I FAILEDRiley picked up her final net, and backed up, holding it closed behind her. She didn't want the bull to charge her again - not when she'd already established that it wouldn't work. This was her final chance to capture her prey, and her first instinct was to attack and subdue it herself. Unfortunately, she knew that wasn't what the professor had asked for, and she would be penalized for breaking the rules if she attacked herself. Riley was a fan of rules, but not necessarily of following them. Nevertheless, she moved away, preparing to wait for the perfect moment to strike with her net. The bull looked ready to charge, but it was waiting for something. She refused to hold the net up, and it wanted to charge the net. So it pawed the ground angrily, and huffed at her, waving it's horns and shaking it's head in shows of aggression meant to tempt her into giving her what it wanted. None of them worked, and she only continued to move further back, until she found herself with her back to a tree. She flattened against it for a moment, before her tentacles rose up their full height, and wrapped around several inky branches. She waved a cheeky wave at the bull, and pulled herself up quickly enough that it seemed to the beast as though she'd suddenly disappeared. All the signs of aggression stopped, and the bull just trotted forward, sniffing the ground curiously in search of her. When it got to the tree, Riley opened up the net, and dropped it right on the bull's head. And angry wail bellowed from the animal, and it huffed and hawed, bucking it's front and back legs in an effort to get the net off. Unfortunately, it succeeded - and it ran off into the field, away from this place that tormented it forever. Riley dropped down off the tree in defeat, and sighed as she felt her body pulled out of the painting, and reformed on solid ground in the classroom. She bowed respectfully to the painting itself, as her teachers were inside of it, and hoped they could hear her when she said her goodbyes. My apologies for my failure, professors, but I do hope the lessons you have attempted to teach were learned, regardless. Thank you.And with that, she left, just a little more dejected than she had come in. Heeerrreeee we go again! As soon as Mei walked through the door she suddenly found herself strapped into a harness. Upon furthur inspection it seemed she was riding on the back of her beastie from previous classes. The basket behind her full of nets caused the beast to sway ever so slightly.
Listening to the professor speak from their seat, she bit her bottom lip. They had to capture another beast? Well...that seemed easy enough.
Scanning the field she spotted a lone beast, its head snapped up to eye her as if it knew she was looking at it. Giving a kick to her own beast's sides she clicked her tongue. "Lets go!"
The wild beast charged instantly, its head lowered as it ran. And in a sudden flurry of beastly bodies they collided.
