Ignoring Eve's overdramatic lament, he emitted a thoughtful hum at her nickname suggestion for Seth. He turned to look at the dark-haired main up and down before breaking out into a grin. "Well, I must say that Lord Frownyface suits him quite nicely." As Lucien said--but would not repeat again the presence of the blond girl--if he was going to suffer, he wouldn't let himself suffer alone.

"Yeah. It should be no surprise that Eve was the one who pulled me into this," Lucien grumbled with a quick look to said girl, though he seemed more resigned than irritated, "I like kids, but...I'm pretty sure if I had one of those name tags, I'd have 'Eve's Helper' written beside 'Lifeguard'."

And speaking of being a lifeguard..."Sure, come hang around and give us a hand if you have the time." The grin returned on his face as he gave Seth a friendly slap on the back, something that was rather uncharacteristic for the blond, "I just hope you know how to swim. I'm sure the last thing Eve and I want to do is have to save you from the deep end."

Okay, so maybe the camp was already doing him some good, considering that he was loosening up enough to do some teasing. Then again, the only people he had conversed with were Eve and Seth, along with one of the children. As for all the other counselors who were milling about? He eyed them quietly, but make no effort to introduce himself or even greet them.

Griffin blinked as she heard the phone's shutter click and take a picture of her. That'd be flattering, she looked awfully surprised. But eh, she didn't really care. She wasn't going to ask him to take it again, that was for sure. When Peter began his barrage of questions, she looked at him with wide eyes. Precocious, this one.

"I'm Hawkeye, one of the junior counselors of Azalea cabin. I'm 18, and a sophomore at Sovereign Heights Preparatory..." I'm also a Taurus and my phone number is... She didn't keep going on, not wanting to patronize him, she just thought he was funny. She'd almost started off by saying 'I'm Griffin!' but she probably would have caught herself mid-word and then had to make up a new counselor name sounding like Grocodile. That would've been inconvenient.

It looked like he was going to leave and look for someone else, but she had his attention at least a little bit still, right? "Do you need us to take your bag too?" she asked while picking up the biggest and closest bag to Sam. She put her finger to her lips while looking at Ainsley. "Now I don't think we'll get in trouble just for helping, but we won't tell anyone, right? We won't go inside and we'll make this fast!"

Breaking her gaze from the kids, she saw another counselor, blonde, who was looking around at the other counselors. She didn't think she'd met him yet or introduced herself, so she gave Lucien a friendly smile and a wave from where she stood.

Coralie stood towards the back of the crowd, her two neatly packed bags in various shades of pink and white tucked near her legs as she absorbed information. Everyone was speaking so rapidly, in so many voices, that deciphering the instructions shouted over everyone's heads was becoming somewhat difficult. Maybe this had been a mistake?

Perry had latched onto the idea almost immediately. Out of the city, out of harm's way, in the great outdoors learning all sorts of useful things? It was her science teacher father's dream come true! He'd kissed her forehead, dropped her off, and gone off grinning to himself. Hands slipped into her pockets to finger two things -- her henshin compact and cell phone. She could easily call him back. If he didn't want to drive, Kurma could come get her.

Her name was caught from somewhere to the left of her and then, pulling attention away from leaving as with immense relief, Aitana was spotted moving in that same direction. "Aitana! Wait for me!" Bags were snatched up and the girl with the odd pink hairstyle started wading through the crowd, apologizing in two languages vaguely as she went.

Huffing and looking a bit annoyed by the time she popped out in front of Aitana and Jennifer, Allie dropped her bags and threw her arms around the darker-skinned girl. "You are here! I am so happy!" Turning her face for a moment she grinned at the older Jennifer and said simply "I am Coralie."

Alright, this was a nightmare. Vicky had told him this would be the opportunity of a lifetime though Blake was starting to strongly suspect she had liked through her pretty white teeth. Well it wouldn't have been the first time. Hadn't he made a promise to stop agreeing to things when she was in his lap and doing...well things that Victoria Collins did in boys' laps. He wasn't entirely sure what it was but just sitting there made him a bit more pliant to her evil will.

She was at least doing him a favor and placing her pretty self between the vast majority of very small bodies and his own. There was some mousy girl in glasses urging the counselors to introduce themselves and it wasn't until there was a lull in adult voices that he realized that he hadn't bothered.

Dammit Vicks.

From where Blake was perched on a nearby wooden cross-tie fence, he gently nudged his oh-so-pretty (girl)friend out of the way and shouted. "I'm Blake. That's my area there though if I'm not there check the lake. It's da...uh. It's really hot out so if the ball field is empty check down there." There. He'd introduced himself, albeit late.

Hands moved on Victoria's shoulders and put her right in front of him again. She got him into this mess, she could be his body shield.

"See! Lord Boring approved Lord Frownyface's title!" Eve clapped in delight, grinning impishly; it was always good to have accomplices when you were trying to persuade someone to do something. Of course, not that she needed accomplices to do what she did best! Especially when the target was Lucy or Rea. At the thought of the latter, her smile dimmed just a bit, wondering if her roommate would be alright without her there for two weeks. What if Rea got into some senshi related trouble? Ugh, she hadn't thought this through properly! How about the Princess?

But Serenade had said she had to get ready for a piano recital and politely declined. And told her to have fun. Eve sorely needed fun, away from how serious Flora could get at times.

"You make it sound like you would have left me alone if I even gave you a choice." Eve whined, folding her arms in mock protest. "But, of course I would never do that, so you can't escape from me. Ever." She remarked confidently, back straight. "And Lucy is my helper. Don't be fooled by his resistance." She directed this at Seth with a waggle of her eyebrows. Then again, Lucy had brought up a pretty good point... maybe she could get one of those name tags. And stick it on his back.

"You should!" Eve breathed, tugging at Seth's sleeve. "Of course, unless you uh, like Lucy says, know how to swim. If not, we'll teach you! And oh, I bought a cute red swimsuit just for lifeguarding!" She couldn't very well use her normal flowery ones, of course. Unless she wanted to sneak down to the lake for a dip in the middle of the night...

"Hey Lucy." Eve said suddenly and quietly. "That girl's waving at you. Do you know her? Do you like her? I think she's pretty!" Wink wink nudge nudge, attempt to back away with Seth in tow.

Aitana's harrassment of 'Jennifer' and Talia was put on hold when Coralie appeared, and she shuffled the weight of her bag and body as she was suddenly latched onto. She didn't mind as made obvious by the wide grin on her face. She'd been looking for and trying to keep track of her ever since she'd heard her name announced as another camper.

"Coralie!! We are in same cabin and everything! That means we can do EVERYTHING together!" Perhaps that was a bit of an overstatement. They might want SOME time apart. But as far as Aitana was concerned she'd even put up with some of the more boring arts and crafts if her pink haired friend would atleast watch her beat the crap out of people in dodgeball and volleyball.

And if they DID have bed sandwiches then they'd totally be sharing one! She wondered mildly whether her friend would like the top or bottom. The top was cooler in her opinion. She could dangle upside down and bother the little princess that way!

"I am not your helper." Lucien protested, reaching out to ruffle the girl's hair. He knew that would bother her. "It just so happens that we're both lifeguards, okay? Seth can be your helper." He emphasized this with another friendly clap to the man's shoulder...or as friendly as it could be when he was essentially offering Seth up as a sacrificial lamb in his place.

In his defense, he dealt with Eve a lot. He found it kind of ironic that his biological younger siblings never irritated him in the slightest, but Eve--his "honorary" little sister--took it upon himself to do it for them.

Lost in his own thoughts, Lucien had almost missed Griffin waving at him. As it was, he thought that she was waving to someone behind him until Eve suddenly spoke up, jumping to conclusions as usual. When she tried to escape with Seth, the blond man was quick to grab them both and yank them back. "Stop that!"

Turning back to the young woman, he managed to offer her a polite nod of acknowledgment before waving back hesitantly. T-there, that would do, right?

The Oleander counselors would probably learn to absolutely love Allie. Not that Aitana was really annoying but she had a strong personality and more energy than a herd of horses on a good day. On a bad day it was more like a herd of horses on crack. The princess was more than able to keep up and would more than gladly run interference for everyone else. Bubbles of delight rose up through the teen as she was summarily claimed for every minute of the rest of camp.

It was becoming much easier to say, more and more often, that she was not alone! It had her squeezing her taller friend again with endless gratitude and adoration. They may have been in another time and her name might be different, but Juno was always Juno and could always be counted on. "Everything! You can teach me how to throw better. I am only good at the disc." Swapping languages, she nattered unconcernedly in Japanese.

"I was so worried I'd have to call dad to come get me, you have no idea! Do you know how to swim? That's silly of course you do! You should teach me how to play all sorts of things and imagine how much working out we can do here. No city to get in our way, just all this room!" Sometimes, Coralie forgot that she wasn't a princess anymore. When she did, she tended to disregard all authority and go off to do her own thing.

It didn't always end well, but it was almost always worth it.

He really should have introduced himself but the thought of having to get in front of all the campers terrified him. So he had decided instead to task himself with taking pictures of the campers as they got off the buses and found their stuff. Someone would want to make scrap books or something and he'd be the one to make sure that there were pictures a plenty.

Lucien did eventually start paying attention to which kids were which so he could figure out which would be in the cabin he was taking care of. Also those who might be interested in his activities later. At last he'd be easy to find in the wonderful shirt that clashed perfectly with his hair. Oh well.

For now he stood back to get some more pictures of the campers and the little groups they'd made and some of the counselors helping.

"You are so my helper!" Eve protested. And if Lucy was clever, he would know that she would adamantly stick by her claim for the rest of the camp... and probably never let him forget it even after camp was over. "I mean, I'm responsible for you because I got you to sign up, y'know? And Seth has his duties; I don't think he'd take very kindly to one of the kids accidentally splashing water onto him or something. No offense, of course!" She just said things as they seemed, and she knew that she was probably quite right about Seth not liking kids very much.

Ah, boys.

"You are an idiot." She admonished Lucy, hanging on to Seth's arm in case they had an opportunity to creep away again. "You seriously need a girlfriend. I'm trying to help you here." Eve stood on her tiptoes, scanning the crowd. There was a familiar pink-haired figure... Coralie! And Aitana too, and she was glad they looked happy. There was another agenda on the list now, to make sure Coralie was safe! Especially if she was in the lake while she was on lifeguard duty!

Anyway. "That's not how you treat a girl, Lucy." She said impatiently and then waved at Griffin. "Hi!" There! What would Lucy do without her?

Istas picked her up her bags and paused when she noticed one of the zippers was opened, her butter yellow eyes stared at it curiously before checking to make sure everything was in there before zipping it back up. She looked at Hawkeye, "I think someone went through my stuff..." there was a small frown but then a shrug as she helped Ridley find the rest of her stuff. She actually carried them too so that Ridley could keep up with ********* were a bit heavy but the child didn't seem to mind much as she beamed, "So where's our cabin?" Out of one eye she noticed pink buns wading through the crowd, Istas' eyes went wide, Allie was here too!? The child almost wanted to run over and say hi, but there'd be time for that later, right? She looked a little torn though, she'd have to go visit the princess there was no question about that. It'd be nice to let Allie know she was there and that there were more chibi senshi, and to tell the pink haired princess all the stuff shes' been doing and that she was a super senshi now! Ohh she couldn't wait.

Once the megaphone was back in her hands, Gently flashed a grin to the other Counselors.

Alright, thanks counselors,” she said, into the megaphone, mostly to get attention back to herself. She got back up on the platfom before glancing back at the crowd of campers, “I think that about does it for the introductions and waiting around, don’t you guys? Let’s get to what you’re really here for.” She hopped down off the platform, really wasting the effort of getting up there in the first place, motioning for them all to follow her.

Come on, this way! The tour waits for no man, woman or child,” of course, she set out at a very easy clip, making sure all the kids followed along and no one got lost in the shuffle. The other counselors would help in keeping them organized. She switched into ‘Welcome to Jurassic Park’ mode, motioning up to the long arch of the camp sign as they passed under it and officially into the camp groups. The path beneath them kicked up a rustic sort of dust as they walked over it, the smell of earth and plants filling the air. It was somehow different here then ten feet away in the parking lot. Suddenly, they were in nature. The paths split off in various directions, and Gently explained which led to the cabins, which to the lake and swimming area, the recreational buildings, the various latrines around the camp, the office in case of emergencies. She walked them to a very large building that looked like it was very much aware of its own importance.

And this is ol’ Messy,” she said, motioning to the building, looking back at the campers, “The Mess Hall is where you’ll come for food and for a lot of your craft oriented endeavors. Attached on the side here, you can see around the corner, is a washroom each for boys and girls, complete with running water. You can take showers and wash your hands, so don’t worry about taking your shampoo to the lake.

She looked at her clipboard and nodded.

Now! We need to get you all settled into your cabins. As some of you have already learned, you will each be assigned to one, and you will have daily tasks, as well as chores, assigned to you. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time for fun, but we want to make sure you learn a thing or two, as well. You’ll learn to cook and will prepare a meal, one each cabin, for the rest of the camp. You can impress your parents when you get home. So! We have lists posted for you all to look at, to figure out what cabin you’re staying in or just refresh your memory. Once you find it, you’re free to go looking for it, or to explore a little bit! Thank you for your attention, and I hope you guys have a blast while you’re here!

Clicking the megaphone off, she motioned for the kids to check the lists. The Counselors would be all over the place while the kids were exploring, to make sure no one ran off into the forest without supervision. No lost kids at this camp, that was the goal.

It would ruin the whole plan if the kids went missing, after all.

User Image ((LP made this gorgeous map! Visuals make everything better!))

As the everyone walks through the camp, the layout becomes fairly obvious. The paths spiral out in multiple directions, but originate from a large campfire pit just in front of the Mess Hall. There’s wooden benches all around the large fire and seems large enough for 50 people to gather around it. Big fire is big.

The real center of camp is the very large Mess Hall. This hall has pretty much everything. Inside the main part of the hall, is a large open room with many tables. Most meals and craft activities are expected to be there. Just off of the main hall is a large kitchen, with cupboards packed full of food (healthy and the kinds kids like). Attached on the left and right sides of the Mess Hall (accessible both from inside and out) are washrooms. These washrooms are fairly cut and dry, nothing too fancy. However, the crowning jewel of these washrooms is the fact that each has a large communal shower area (like you find at a pool) with curtains to create privacy. Thank god there’s running water! Campers who prefer getting a real shower instead of jumping in the lake are glad to know they can.

To the south of the Mess Hall is the girls’ side of camp. That’s where their cabins are located. Closest to the Mess Hall is the Jr. Counselor’s set of cabins. There is also a set of washrooms nearby. These washrooms are not outhouses, HOORAY. However, they are really only one step above an outhouse. They have running toilets, and real sinks, but that is it. No amount of bleach is going to removed the distinct mixture of smells that surrounds the washrooms. The boy’s side is nearly identical but it is on the opposite side of the Mess Hall and closer to the lake.

Almost directly next to the Mess Hall is a large cabin for the seniors. This cabin is two stories tall. The top floor of the cabin has 6 rooms, each contains 2 or 3 beds. It seems the Sr. Counselors have semi-private rooms. The Sr. Counselor’s cabin also has semi private washrooms. There is still a men and women's, but they both have 3 private shower stalls.

One the bottom floor there is also, thankfully, a small laundry room. The sr. Counselor’s have also lucked out and have a common area with couches, a small kitchenette and a very old black and white TV. The senior’s cabin also houses ‘the Office’. Two large desks occupy a large room with it’s own private entrance. Campers who wish to speak to a Sr. Counselor can come in through the Office door and wait for a Sr. Counselor there.

Behind the Mess Hall is an old tool shed. It’s medium sized, large enough to fit perhaps 10 or 12 people rather comfortably. There are no windows only one door that is shut tight and under lock and key. Who has the key? A set of keys has been distributed to all Negaverse Counselors. As far as anyone else knows though, only the Head Counselor, Genlty, and her assistant, Claudia, have a set of keys.

On the lake front, there’s a long dock, fit for jumping off of! Next to the dock is a boat house, which is where all the swimming supplies are kept. It contains canoes, life-vests, paddles, and a variety of water toys.
Beyond the Girl’s cabin area there is a large clearing. That area is the sports and games area. It have a soccer field chalked out, with two goal posts. There is also a rudimentary baseball field, similarly chalked out, with a high fence around the batting area. It is very much like an average junior high school or elementary baseball diamond; nothing fancy.

A large path through the woods leads to the Ranger’s Cabin. It’s a bit of a difficult walk, going up a somewhat step hillside. Anyone who feels the need to go there can reach it within a half hour walk.

Her Japanese was rusty.. not so much more than her English. Certainly she'd learned it better than she had english back in Brazil, but it was a language she rarely used. She was far better at listening and interpreting it then in actually forming the words themselves.

But she was starting to get slowly better thanks to a certain young girl. Usually she would respond in english to Coralie.. but something about the camp experience had instilled a bit of mischief in Aitana. They could have their secret language and talk about whatever they wanted! It was unlikely anyone else around would know the language from lands so very far away.

"You don't know how to swim!?" The surprise was evident on her face. How someone her age could get by so long without swimming was beyond her. But the expression quickly changed, too excited by the offer. "Ohhh sure!! I'll show you how to do anything you want. We can just practice and play and.. well whatever"

She simply grinned, equally delighted. The thought of a whole two weeks without senshi work.. without school.. just as a girl having fun was so amazing. Ellie had been wrong. Sucky was just about the last thing camp was going to be.

The megaphone crackled and the tours began. A visable face was made at the word 'chores', but it didn't distract her long from trying to check everything out. By the time these two weeks were up her and Coralie would know the whole place by the back of their hands for sure!

It took Griffin a second look to notice the blonde girl standing next to the blonde boy, and it seemed she nudged him, and he ruffled her hair. Oh crap. Was that his girlfriend? That would be awkward. 'Yeah, hi, I've never met either of you but I was just waving at your boyfriend no big deal'. But what if she said something like that and then it turned out they were siblings. They didn't look much alike besides their hair color. Hmm. At Lucien's shy wave back, she couldn't help but smile a little bit brighter. How sweet! Not that she'd ever say it out loud, she didn't want to offend him.

For a second she looked down to answer Istas. "Oh, is anything missing?" She looked genuinely worried. She'd make sure to check in with her later that night to make sure everything was okay. She watched her walk away with Ridley and shrugged, Sam's bag still under one of her arms. When Eve spoke to her, she jumped a little bit, looking surprised, but then put back on her smile. Meeting people! How fun!

"Hi, Eve, right? Lifeguard?"

As the tour began, she kept herself somewhere close to the kids and their bags, but in talking distance to Eve and Lucien. She stayed there until the tour had concluded and peeled off to take her own things to the cabin where she'd be staying.

((lol emily switf))

As the tour started, 'Emily' caught up as may of the young girls bags as she could manage, and assuring Griffin that she would take care of it, began the slow process of moving Azalea Cabins residents luggage to its home for the next two weeks.

By the end of the children's circuit of the camp, all the bags had been placed in the centre of the cabin, allowing the girls to battle out bunk positions at their own leisure. Brushing her hands happily, 'Emily' went to find something to drink, confident that Griffin seemed to have been able to manage watching over the girls. And playing pack mule was a very thirst inducing activity.
