The cabin looked pretty normal from the outside, just like every day plain-Jane log cabins. They were square and had little square windows on either side of the door and windows on the sides. There was also no sign of a TV antenna or anything awesome like that. There was a small step up to the actual inside of the cabin. From the door you could see 6 beds total; actually four of the six beds incidentally were bunk beds. One on top of the other, then two singles off to the sides, though they could be made bunk beds too obviously.
There was a small den area that had six bean bag chairs and long coffee table, obviously for snacks or when the kids wanted to sit and talk, play games or do other such fun things. If nothing else but to keep the kids occupied when it was a rainy day and they couldn’t actually do anything outside.
Not far from any of the cabins were washrooms, not quite outhouses or port-a-johns; they were pretty nice for being in a log cabin type building and in fact it sort of reminds one of those fancy restrooms that theme parks, or stadiums, or even race tracks have, with toilets and sinks.

Leah Derouen was first to arrive and quite happy of the fact. The purple-haired girl looked around quickly for name tags and, seeing none, tossed her duffle onto one of the single beds. There! No one to complain that she was moving around too much at night, nor anyone for her to accuse of doing the same.
She began to rifle through her bag, setting aside a jumble of brightly colored underthings and tank tops, all wrapped up with two chains that might have been necklaces before they got thrown in with her clothes and hopelessly tangled. It was her guitar case she was looking for, and she found it.
She pulled the electric guitar out and plopped it on her lap. She began to tune it. This did not seem to help the fact that, once she began to play, she was simply awful.
All of the lessons in the world would not change the fact that, even though Leah knew how to play guitar well, she chose to play it badly, in the name of "irony."
She was playing something that might have been Stairway to Heaven while she waited for the other girls. (The tempo was all wrong.)

Hnn. Well, it was certainly rustic.
Guen pushed open the cabin door with her hip, looking slightly harassed. She took in the rooms quickly, before selecting a bottom bunk near a window and plopping down her bags. It looked like she'd beat the other campers here, by merit of the fact that she was probably missing out on some kind of tour. Oh well. She had a job to do, and only part of it involved having fun.
However, as a few twangy notes sounded out of the blue, she realized she might not be as alone as she'd originally thought. She stowed her bags under the bed, but grabbed a pillow out of one to mark it as hers. It had stars and moons on it, in a fairly gender neutral pattern that would probably be appropriate for someone a little younger than she actually was. Her dad didn't keep much in the way of spare linens.
Guen didn't know much about popular music, besides a few tunes she'd picked up off the radio, but something about the way the other girl played made her grit her teeth. She'd never been a fan of the electric guitar. However, that was no excuse to be rude, so she steeled herself and tried to stoll over as casually as possible.
"Um. Hi," she commented lamely, resting a hand on the bedpost farthest from the stranger. "You're the first in here, I take it? Did anything important happen? I missed the bus..." she trailed off, still a little embarrassed by the whole fiasco.
