After Melethia cough settled down a bit she went to get a drink. She poured a little bit of wine in a glass. Melethia wasn't much for wine, but she had it before so she could stand to have a little sip.

"That's a bit better." She said, "Maybe I should stay away from the food for a bit." She walked to a corner of a room and stood there. She felt a little out of place at the moment. Eh maybe something will happen to her.

Now Leon too was imagining it. Large would not be tall enough to fit inside that dress so it would drag on the floor, and whenever one of Eyris's finest, the supposedly "tough" men of the city were parading around in drag, it was humiliation of the purest kind. And the pure kind was the best. The young man tried to cover his mouth to stifle laughter. He really did, but failed miserably.

He hadn't laughed like this in a while. Maybe it was time he remembered how. "L... Large... In tha'... getup... no... wonder it t'was... too hard to pass up!" Leon said, between fits of giggles that usually never came out of him save the weekend nights where he'd indulge in spirits. That wasn't true happiness, true laughter either, but one brought upon by alcohol. What he had now was genuine, and he didn't want to let it go. "Heh... sorry...I know... I'm s'posed t' respect 'im... Charice... Annis... but tha' image... I wanna see it. As for why I'm 'ere... I'm 'ere for both, really... keepin' them in order an'... tryin' t' enjoy this place. You... tellin' stories like tha' makes th' sec'nd job eas'ier I think."

Victoria recognized the... journeyman, was that what they called those axefighters in training? She couldn't quite recall, she hadn't spent her time in the company of those who wielded axes very long. The Holy Guard of her Elimine Order was consisted of the snipers and archers called Sharpshooters, and the most elite of bishops. None the less, the few... axe-wielders she did know where decent men... and boys.

"My name is Victoria, remember." she reminded Arashe's (apparently friend?), but she didn't say it in a snide tone like usual. For once, she was acting like she wanted to be nice. Maybe young people just had that effect on her. They did say every missionary had a soft spot for the small ones. And of course Dietrich was a decent person to be in Arashe's company.

User Image”Of course I like it,” She said softly. “It shows how proud you are of your hgi-val heritage.” Aruna flashed a small smile for a few seconds. It felt good to interact with someone else of reptilian descent. However, she felt a little guilty for not embracing her own culture as much as she probably should.

Suddenly a quicker tempo began to play and Ganon had a wide grin upon his face.

“Shall we show these people how snakes can dance?”

The female naga forgot her insecurities almost instantly. She looked over her shoulder in the dance floor. Spotting Lance and Ed watching them from the other side, Aruna could take a good guess about what those two were talking about. “Let’s give our fans a good show,” she responded with a smirk as she turned back to face her date.

Ziaram soon walked off after a slightly akward silence so Joshua turned back to Roy. "Joshua." He grinned at the young lord. After a touching moment that Roy had with someone who was apperently his mother Joshua stepped back it wasn't his place to speak yet... he knew the bond between a mother and son was something that nothing could break.

He knew all too well.

Ah, the man was right! He'd hardly even been against that wall for a couple of minutes before people gravitated to him! It must have been the elegance he was carrying himself with, or at least he thought so before he saw who was coming over to him. Victoria, and some pink-haired woman. He only smiled at the Bishop, expecting her to show up sooner or later. But, this new woman was kind enough to introduce herself. "Ah, so your name is Tristai. It's a beautiful name, I must admit, one much befitting one of your appearance." He gave her a bow, giving her a light kiss on the hand before returning to a stand. Well, as much of a stand as he could manage at the slight loss of composure at Dietrich's... entrance.

"Dietrich? What in the world are you..." He'd have said 'doing,' but he was more surprised to see the man at such a formal occasion, to be sure. He rolled his eyes, sending a hand through the hair drooping over his face before giving a little chuckle at the man's outburst. "I see you're as predictable as always." A sly smirk slid onto his face as he kept talking, a subtle hint of sarcasm creeping into his tone. "Well, I've been avoiding you for how long, now? Blast, I'll have to restart the tally, I'm afraid."

He'd have continued humoring himself at the man's expense, until the axeman chose to respond to the Bishop with marvelous... wit. It was rather awkward, until he noticed the glass in his hand. "Ah, I see you're up to your old devices." Arashe shook his head, as if he were some sort of disappointed parent. "Please don't make a fool of anyone tonight, if that's the case. And in case you didn't know, because you seem to have met, this... 'blond lady' here is named Victoria." He pointed towards her, making sure that the man would be able to connect the face and name. Reinforcement never hurt, did it?

W-what?

Bozo was flicked away by an unknown hand. "Boyooo~!" Bozo squealed with Bozo's eyes closed as she flew away from the food. Bozo locked on at the humie that knocked her away. Blue-haired, red lips...this humie was Bozo's enemy! Bozo puffed out Bozo's cheeks as Bozo pouted. No one interrupts Bozo's dinner!

With that said, Bozo reared backwards, and then darted towards the humie that had knocked Bozo away. With full speed, Bozo tackled head first into the humie's face.

...and was helplessly knocked backwards, and bounced a few times on the table. Bozo puffed out the cheeks even more. Bozo does not like being small and light as a feather!

Bozo charged at the humie again, this time latching on to the humie's face with Bozo's small pads. Then, Bozo started slapping the humie with Bozo's big ears. Bozo was mad and humiliated. And Bozo had forgotten what Bozo came here for in the first place.

Ganon

Ganon grinned and glanced up at Ed and Lance, to whom he waved before taking Aruna's hand in his claw and leading her to the dance floor. Once the music started up, it was cake for Ganon to find the down beat and the two reptiles began to dance, first reaching up to intertwine their fingers each with the other, and then they began to twist and weave around one another, releasing hands only when necessary, until Ganon was twisting and sliding in between Aruna's coils, and she draping herself around him in a dance that bordered on the erotic.

Of course, when you're that flexible, virtually anything you do can be considered erotic. It was, at the very least, appropriate to the song, which was quick and driving, intended if not for erotic dancing snakes, then at least for dancing with an ending in mind.

"Fa understand big brothah."

The mage nodded to his adopted sister, taking a moment to gently smoothen out the girl's hair. Ah, she hadn't changed a bit. Not one bit...

"Fa went out to find Sowen's Goddess! Look!"

Casually, Soren bowed his head as Fa motioned to draw something from her dress. He halfly expecting some innocent trinket of some sort when light glinted off of crystalline petals, iridescent in the atmosphere of the celebration, fragments of emerald and sapphire dancing across his eyes. A shadow flickered behind the glass-like screens.

"It's Fa's new dragonstone! Goddess Ashera made it for Fa."

He gazed darkly upon the dragonstone, seeming to watch something far away in its transparent composition. Something that no one else had any knowledge of. Something that no one else could read.

"Ah," he suddenly said, lighting up with another smile before Fa could catch on, "it's a beautiful thing. Mother Ashera was most gracious." He again smoothened the manakete's hair, the girl beaming back, and then he observed as Fa proceeded to close her eyes and rest in his lap. Yes, she certainly seemed to be tired.

All around the partygoers continued in their own business, their own lives, suppressing their memories and reveling in the present, pretending that this would last forever, for eternity. Unending bliss — was that what they wanted? To dance, sing, laugh every night, share embraces and warm kisses? To eat until their bellies burst and reap a never-ending supply of a bountiful harvest?

Soren raised his head, the light glinting off of his earring and amulet. He watched the celebration in silence...

((Reply to Lance))

Ed raised onto her toes as Lance made mention of Ganon, spotting the hgi-val over the heads of others in the crowd. Of course, it wasn't hard to miss him. He was freakin' tall. She noticed that Ganon had joined with the naga and wondered if that was his lady-friend for the night. She grinned rather wryly, amused by the thought.

"'Course they're human," Ed replied almost unconsciously, not bothered by the thought. The people before them cleared slightly and she saw that Ganon and his friend had taken notice of the two. She waved back excitedly, frantic to make sure he knew that she was watching, and then she let her eyes follow whatever they were doing. "They're walking, talking, living and breathing, aren't they? Human enough for me."

Ah, everything was so...simple to her nowadays. Whatever happened to the old times when she was so much more reserved and awkward? Ed thought rather innocently on those memories, and then she felt something drain from her as she remembered more. A presence in the crowd distracted Ed for a moment and she found herself attempting to figure out what it was. She glanced over the crowd, an old friend lost in her mind, and she stared as though expecting to rediscover him among the partygoers here.

"Ganon's a good friend of mine," she went on to say, trying to make it seem like she wasn't distracted. "I can't really pronounce what he is, it sounds kinda funny in our tongue... But I know him pretty well."

"Hm? Oh, thank you, Victoria... you look... elegant as well. I actually prefer to wear skirts, they just don't work efficiently while riding." Honestly Tristai wasn't sure what it was Victoria was trying to pull off with her outfit, something like a queen or some form a royalty? No matter, it did look nice on her.

She immediately regretted her formal introduction when the vibrant blonde man took it upon himself to come close enough to kiss her hand. While she was wearing black silk gloves, she couldn't stop her reaction of snapping her hand away faster than what anyone would consider polite.
"Thank you for the compliment." She said it rather coldly, but thankfully the entrance of a new loudmouth distracted from her statement.

She stepped backward, putting some distance between herself and the now two men in front of her. "No, we've never met, Dietrich. I'm sure I'd remember meeting someone of such... presence..." she instinctively rolled her eyes, crossing her arms in front of her subconsciously.

The paladin was unsure what was it that was among the food. Surely, it couldn't be rodents. They had always kept the castle cleaned, especially the kitchen. So what was it that the paladin picked up? Not to mention, how did it get inside?

Before the paladin could find what was it, she saw something white and blurry heading her way. Startled by the scene before her, Isadora shrieked and lifted her face to block it. She felt something hit the plate. What it that thing Isadora saw earlier?

Isadora lowered the plate and took a look. On the table was what appeared to be a small, white creature. It looked like a bunny, but at the same time, it was the size of a mouse. Isadora blinked. Never had she saw a creature like that before. What was it doing here?

Suddenly, the creature latched itself to her face. Isadora let out another shrieked as she felt the slapping against her forehead. This was not what the paladin had her mind about the party.

Isadora grabbed the creature's body and pulled it from her face. As the creature struggled within her grip, she looked around. Not far from her was a huge salad bowl. Ignoring the biting the creature was giving to her, she rushed over to the salad bowl.

Isadora placed the creature into the salad bowl and flipped it upside down. She placed both hands on top of the bowl, fearing that it might escaped. The bowl was shaking underneath her hands, but she held it firmly against the table. Although she had ruined Tibarn's salad, at least the creature had something to eat. Now if only she could figure out what to do with the creature.

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!"
"The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!"

"Outta my face, you buzzard!" Vaida's voice yelled back. "I'm gettin' my dish to be served, and you're not gunna stop me! Got it?" She put her hand into the bowl she was carrying, and took out one of the meatballs. "Don't make me use this on you!" She threatened, despite having a massive deadly spear with her, that would have been much more useful to threaten with.

Mihira lay there motionless, on the floor of the ballroom. However, things were not so motionless inside her mind. With the passing out, came along with it, dreams. In them, she was standing there, grooming her wyvern. Suddenly, Captain Vaida came out, and delivered a part for her. Except, this wasn't a captain. This Vaida was Mihira's servant, and Mihira was the captain. Heath was there, too, twice as muscular than in reality. He came closer to Mihira, and leaned in. He got closer and closer to her. Their lips were almost touching. Then suddenly, Heath turned into chocolate cake, for some reason, and Mihira screamed. Startled, Mihira woke up, and opened her eyes slowly, groaning lightly. As her vision cleared, she saw a figure standing over her. Her vision cleared, and she was able to make out just who it was. "H-h-h-hea...! Eeeeeeeeeek...!" And just like that, she was out cold again.

And so Arashe and Dietrich were chummy with one another. For some odd reason, through her travels, Victoria was able to discern when people were actually bonded. Nothing like connections to soften up the blow of suddenly waking up in another world.

"Well, I suppose, this might sound a bit cliche, but..." Victoria grinned towards Dietrich, again sincere. "Any friend of Arashe's is a friend of mine. I'm just glad I found you before those Learanian ruffians could do a number on you."

[ X ][ O ]Blossom[ O ][ X ]

Blossom nodded once. She drew in a deep breath and held it for as long as she possibly could, keeping perfectly still as Sophia carefully stitched and hemmed up the dress for her. Blossom had to get air back a few times through the process, but when Sophia was done, Blossom sighed and expelled the stale air from her lungs, shaking her arms just a little. Better, much better. And now she could see her feet! Granted, they were still her pirate boots, but... she could call it personal flair.

People got away with that kind of thing, right?

Blossom smiled and nodded energetically at Sophia. "Uh-huh! It fits great! Thank you!" Blossom hopped over and hugged the lavender-haired woman, taking care not to jostle the pin cushion or cause her to drop it--or worse, stick herself with one of the pins!--and lifted her skirts a little as she rushed out, taking care not to trip.

There were certainly more people in the ballroom now, along with Songhua chatting rather affably with Alihi. Blossom felt uncertain now who to approach, if anyone was un-busy enough with friends to talk to her. She noticed Arashe's head of blonde hair and decided he was as good a person as any to approach; at the very least, if he told her he was too busy, he'd be polite about it. Right?

Blossom hurried on over, slowing to a gentle walk a few yards away so as to not trip into him. Not a very good impression, oh no! "Hello!" she chirped, her smile wide. "I don't remember if I actually introduced myself before... I'm Blossom. You're Arashe, right?" she questioned.

Annis nodded once, smiling a little. "Well, you're doing a good job of it, at least. I kind of shudder to imagine what Captain Ghis might be like over here; he'd probably eat half the food and booze up the dance floor. It'd be plenty entertaining, though..." Annis looked up and to the side, musing. "Or he could surprise us. You never know, really."

Annis nodded slowly, seeing Charice's face grow mournful. There wasn't exactly time to question her, though; already she was asking about the nature of her bet, and Annis' face turned a bright, embarrassed pink. "I-I don't think..." she started, then looked over at Leon.

"Well, it's a good thing I'm here to cheer you up, then, sadsack," Annis grinned. She noogied him again, but she looked friendly, not patronizing.

She sighed, rustled her wings, and leaned her weight on her right foot. "So... Charice, right? What exactly is Ghis like? I've only seen him once or twice, and beyond that, I've only heard stories of the whole boozing thing, but if he's your captain, I figure he's got to be pretty responsible." Somewhere in him, at least. "If I'm overstepping a boundary, lemme know, but I'm curious here."
