Salutations Members!
I'm pleased to announce that we will be bringing you all back to Hogwarts 2 weeks early! Why, you ask? Because this year you are invited to attend the Vernal Fair, a celebration of the start of Spring, which will begin on the Spring Equinox, March 20th!
Erik, the Hogwarts Express Train Conductor has kindly set us up so that you can set out to Hogwarts immediately! It's sure to be a quick trip and the train will be leaving soon, so don't dawdle and find a compartment quick, before they're all taken!
I'd also like to announce that we will no longer be accepting teacher applications after this Friday, March 7th.
Our Illustrious Mod Squad has helped me to compile a final schedule for the rest of this very busy Jam-Packed Month! March 7th-9th: HGWRTS EXPRS Arrives at King's Cross
March 9th: Teacher Applications Closed
March 10th-11th: HGWRTS EXPRS Departs King's Cross Heading to Hogwarts.
March 12th-15th: HGWRTS EXPRS Arrives at Hogsmede Station
March 12th: Sorting Hat Opened!
March 14th: Class Sign-Ups Open.
March 20th: Vernal Fair Event Begins!
March 21st: Sorting Hat Closed
March 28th: Class Sign-Ups Closed
April 1st: Vernal Fair Ends.
April 2nd: Spring Term 2012 Begins! Classes Begin!

Hello my friends!
I know it's been ages since I last addressed you all!
Forgive me, I've been quite taken up with this event we've been planning in Hogsmeade.
Yes, the one that was supposed to start over a month ago...
Yes, the one that was supposed to celebrate the start of spring...
Yes the one that the Hogsmeade residents asked for our help on...
Yes, the Vernal Fair, that's the one!
Well in our defense I think that the good residents of Hogsmeade couldn't have expected us to just throw something together could they? A great event requires time and planning and lots and lots of time. This guild doesn't run on magic you know! Well yes, of course, we have magic, yes, but good magic takes time and energy and time to cultivate.
Anyways, as we've got to get things moving, we've decided that come rain or shine we are releasing the event this Friday, May 4th!
Let me say that again…
We guarantee the Vernal Fair will be open to all students, elves, and beings in between on May 4th!
I apologize for the apparent inactivity, I assure you that the Chamber of Secrets has never been so full! It's just about ready to burst with the things we've got cooked up for you, our loyal members! I do hope that you will see fit to forgive us once you see the numerous activities we've set up for you!

ANYWAYS! I've got a few more announcements for you!
Firstly, Professor James has informed me that you still have a chance of getting into his Charms Class! Hurry now and join! I'm told that they've got dummies, monkeys, and a large supply of bananas! (Also, I'm sure if any students wanted to join any of the classes late, the professors are simply a Private Message via owl away.)
Secondly, many of you should know that classes have indeed already begun, if you signed up but forgot to check back for when lessons would be posted, I'm sure you and your professors will be able to work something out.
Thirdly and most excitingly, the 3rd Annual Quidditch World Cup is just around the corner! We'd like to do something with the referees similar to last year, so we're starting our Referee search a bit early.
For those of you who did not have the happy experience of witnessing last years’ epic and daring battle of Peru versus Ireland, a full commentary is available in the Summer 2011-- Quidditch World Cup topic.
Referees should have a thorough understanding of Harry Potter and be able to come up with either questions or riddles that are Harry Potter themed. We'd also like to do commentary similar to last years (see link above) once again. in the White Tomb you can find the different topics dedicated to each position to find out more! If you're interested in a referee position please post in the Suggestions, Feedback, & Questions (S.F.Q.) topic!
And finally what country would you like to see compete in the 2012 HPGoG Quidditch World Cup? Who do you think will win? Post your suggestions and weigh in on your choices in the Suggestions, Feedback, & Questions (S.F.Q.) topic!

Hear Yee Hear Yee!
I've got a lot of great news for thee!
1st Order of Business: Go VOTE for one of the lovely outfits made for me in "Keen Eye for the Old Guy." Seriously, stop what you're doing now and vote, it only takes a few seconds, voting last for less than a week, and I don't want to be stuck wearing that dress our illustrious Head Elf gave me. sweatdrop
2nd Order of Business: We've got a MASS SORTING coming up! Starting on June 4th the only requirement a House Elf will need to be eligible for sorting is a Minimum of 30 Posts!!!!
3rd Order of Business: Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, and I'm sorry to say that both Spring Term and the Vernal Fair will be officially closing on June 18th! This means that both the House Elf Cup and the Hogwarts House Cup will be ending on that day, so hurry over and rack up your points so you can win some prizes!!!
4th Order of Business: We will be having at summer term this year! Yes, Professor Vortrix Telemar has graciously offered to teach a summer charms course! The prizes for this term may involve more than house points, so be ready for it! If you're interested in teaching a summer course, please send me a Private Message via Owl!
Oh, and one more thing....
We're Going to the Quidditch World Cup!
Hogsmeade, as a way of saying "thank you" for our assistance with the Vernal Fair, has been gracious enough to foot the bill for all of our residents to attend the 3rd Quidditch World Cup!!! So we're booked some camp grounds, rented some tents, and are setting up some portkeys so we can all go there together, even our classes will be on the move with specially sealed practical learning tents! More information coming soon!
So, are you as excited as I am? Team Japan is a shoo in for the Final, but it seems there is one more game that will determine what country they'll be facing off with come July! Learn More!
