Kain-Nigel's had... well a more simple life up to this point. Prior to meeting Bethan, he hadn't needed to do much in the mysterious world of Gaia. But now, well... he needs to do something with his time.
What does Bethan choose for Kain-Nigel to do? Work? Go to school? Save a kitten? Does Bethan's suggestions work? Is Kain-Nigel ready for something new?
Why does Bethan choose that? What is Kain-Nigel's reactions? How do both of them cope with this "need" for change? Did something bring this about?

Name: Kain Nigel Meaning: Gender: Male Age: Teen DoB: Unkown Occupation: N/A Work Experience: N/A Hair colour: Pitch Black Eye colour: If we could see them, i could tell you. Hes blindfolded Skin: Pale Likes: writing, exploring, unkown, unkown Dislikes: History, memories, unkown Favourites: Presents, friendship, love Strengths: Reflexes, sight Weaknesses:Strong light Clothes: ~ Work - N/A ~ Casual - So far he only has what he came in, blindfold and some sort of top. ~ Formal - Bethan forces Kain to wear a jacket but on a couple of occansions to hide the mist he as been bought a dress and cloak - something long enough to cover where his feet would be. Personality - Kain pretty much accepts whatever situation hes in without questioning it. He has learned to make notes on the past but often hes up spending too much time on it. Tamuril often finds him left outside thinking about his childhood, blank and emotionless on the outside. Since moving in with his guardian, Kain often finds rushes of emotions but can't understand or control these getting longer every time it repeats but it dosn't seem to bother him. After being alone for such a long time he seems to like being alone, maybe along with the company of animals, although there are quite a few animals he is scared of. Kain Nigel has a calm attitude to life and hardly ever looses his temper without good reason. (to be edited/continued)

Name: Bethan Gender: Female Age: Shes an adult...thats all i can say [DoB: If you had that you'd have her age too Occupation: N/A Work Experience: Survival skills, Hair colour: Dark brown, almost black when wet Eye colour: Green Skin: Pale to Tan Likes: Being alone, quiet, animals, sushi, boys clothes, Dislikes: Humans, dresses, 'demons', (not so certain) Kain Favourites: You'll find out later... Strengths: Bravery, foraging, hunting, running and dodging. Weaknesses: Being surrounded by humans, loud noises. Clothes: ~ Work - N/A ~ Casual - Loose baggy clothing, jeans, shirt, hat, leather jacket and so on. ~ Formal - Suit with or without chains etc. Personality - Lonely, bad tempered, defenseive, outgoing, caring, physical. Past - Bethan started off as a boyish Human very playful and full of energy. She was quite social we everything and everybody. She didn't belong to a rich family but she loved them all the same. Her house was on the edge of town near the woods where she often played (,you know, climbing trees and such). At around 9 or 10 she found an old factory building with vines growing up it. Bethan always went there to play because it was so interesting. She was always alone though except a few animals and her parents were busy, this was her secret. ((The next bit is why Bethan has a thing about humans etc. making mistakes.)) About a month after finding it a young man invited into the building. He showed her around and made her feel safe, when she was worried she broke things. It looked like a medience lab with all tubes and such. She came back the following day and the same thing happened. But after that the man lead her a different way around and trapped it what seemed to be a glass case. She was knocked out just as she heard the hissing of gas. In the morning she awoke to find herself half mouse with all those features and the man studing her and something else. Also within the 'case' was a smaller dying version of a rodent with no tail and standing up like a human. Its fur and been shedded. Bethan was the sucessful experiment. She was horrified and acted in instint smashing the glass and running into the woods hiding away from the world. She lived the same way the animals did and often slept with rats and forgaged with mice. At the age of 18 Bethan was brought out of the woods by friend and lover Tamuril. She was slowly brought back into her orginal life without any of her family, friends etc. Over time Bethan slowly found Tamuril falling for her and her own heart seemed to sway. She now lives in a owned aparment bought for her. Its quiet spacious but everything in one room. Bethan often uses the roof for extra space being on the top floor since no-one else has the ability to get up there.

Bethan's apartment: After years of complaining and rejection of gifts Bethan was forced back into a humanish environment. Not that shes happy apart this but if your stuck with it, make the best of it right? As it happens Tamuril's family funding managed to buy half of a block of apartments - unknown to the family of course. Bethan has promised to pay back the money from their loan but that has yet to happen. The money provided from the students and so on downstairs was enough to keep Bethan alive and many a few others but the whole place was made by other people. Pulling strings really help. When Bethan doesn't appear for awhile, even her place is rented for the money. The last few weeks there have been 3 people living within the room yet there are still times when the flat is empty. No books, at least as far as Bethan knows has ever made into the few rooms she had truly call her own. After all they are just scribbles right? The apartment is on the top floor of a 3 story building, as this is the case Bethan was also 'gifted' the roof. The rooms, bathroom and living room are the only she has access to except the roof. All the furniture was donated over the short time Bethan had been forced into arriving. Some even stolen from lab that changed her life for 'the worst' as Bethan puts it. No-one else truly agrees with her but then, no-one but two in the world new the whole story. So, the bedroom back of the room is really the sofa and side sofa leading to the roof. With guests around Bethan often moves out onto the roof meaning the window is almost always left open. On good days Bethan leaves seed out on the 'bed' while she eats breakfast, the problem is that it never all goes... The Kitchen could never be further away from the sofa, its practically sitting on it! There really is a only a few basics for this part of the room. Sink, fridge, freezer and loads of cupboards. Of course there is a icebox and mini microwave hidden inside there....oh and along with the kettle. All of those are kept away for hygiene sake. Bethan earned most of the kitchen herself so is not always happy with people using it. The food cooked here generally turns out to be sushi or cold foods with a hot drink of some sort. With chilling you can't burn the food!Dinning area is the sofa in the morning and the 'C' block at any other time. Chairs are shattered around just so you have somewhere to sit and more often than not moved to suit the occasion. Examples of this would be having guests around, people moving in, people moving out, fights in the household (no not throwing them!) or even the type of meal. Bethan studies with only the computer, even then she has help. Books are not allowed up on the top floor, due to people reading. The computer has it own desk and chair unlike most of the rest of the room and of course there is internet. There are normally a few notes on the desk with pictures and words and Bethan catches up with the education she was never able to get.Well the others are mainly for leisure. Pictures on the wall are a mix of Tamuril's or Bethan's work from day to day, hardly ever a bought piece. Plants to make Bethan feel more relaxed in the new environment. The odd stereo and speakers for music from time to time, around the corner the other room....the bathroom. Not much to it really.

Forest outskirts:Bethan grew up on the forest outskirts a little while off the town of gaia. Scattered about are a few villages all continued through a series of paths within the forest itself. The village Bethan grew up had a small primary school, houses, trade point with the speciality of breeding track horses and training dogs. Not too far into the forest is a working lab its uses almost unkown. From the outside it looks abandoned but on the inside it looks very high tech. Alot of care had been taken into hiding the lab with srubs, tree etc. but for anyone curious it was easy to find. The forest light is almost all light green and yellow due to the crowding leaves.Sakurky:The country that Tamuril grew up in. The goverment and expectations are still those expected of the victorians but with simular technology to mordern times. Here, females can still be traded though unlike the Vic's. There is no middle class available here, just the very rich and very poor, if you were born rich you stayed that way, same with the poor. The country itself is still quite small and is often missed off the maps. It has a long coast line and a good connection to the land yet seems uneffected by other places.Town:The town of gaia where Tamuril and Bethan now reside. Its a strange place were winged being walk around without being questioned and no-one seems to have to work to survive here. Parts of the town explored by the girls would be the park, the mall and highstreet, anywhere else is yet to be discovered. Of course Kain Nigel certainly knows his way around, he grew up in gaia.Shrine:Bethan and Tamuril were invited to the shrine to help repair it within the storms, but due to the harsh weather were not able to stay that long. All that seems to known about it is that the three girls Eri, Pyper and Bethan's favorite Shino go to fequently. The outside is beautiful but neither of the three have managed to step inside.

Sacrifice: Stained glass window (typical one shown to the right)Reason given The reasoning behind this is very much unknown to the Current Guardian Bethan and her friends. Though Kain Nigel seems to know something of his past. When he first fell to earth he landed somewhere near a broken down church in which his first guardian was rearching into. The Scarfice itself was a complete mistake but enough to give him life. His guardian found the Kain and thought in shock he was dying, in the process dropping the glass she was holding onto the him. It disappeared completely taking its secrets with it. Where you might find one/some: Stained Glass windows can be found almost anywhere in the modern world though so not as elborate as others. Orginally stained glass windows were only used in churches, cathedrals and other significant buildings as it was expensieve and hard to do, making it an honor to have there. Though now, you may find them still in those places as well door windows, schools, shops and even gardens.Uses To be filled in toMaking Stained GlassQuote: * The first stage in the production of a window is to make, or acquire from the architect or owners of the building, an accurate template of the window opening that the glass was to fit. * The subject matter of the window is determined to suit the location, a particular theme, or the whim of the patron. A small design called a Vidimus is prepared which can be shown to the patron. * A traditional narrative window has panels which relate a story. A figurative window could have rows of saints or dignitories. Scriptural texts or mottoes are sometimes included and perhaps the names of the patrons or the person as whose memorial the window is dedicated. In a window of a traditional type, it is usually at the discretion of the designer to fill the surrounding areas with borders, floral motifs and canopies. * A full sized cartoon is drawn for every "light" (opening) of the window. A small church window might typically be of two lights, with some simple tracery lights above. A large window might have four or five lights. The east or west window of a large cathedral might have seven lights in three tiers with elaborate tracery. In Medieval times the cartoon was drawn straight onto a whitewashed table, which was then used for cutting, painting and assembling the window. * The designer must take into account the design, the structure of the window, the nature and size of the glass available and his own preferred technique. The cartoon is then be divided into a patchwork as a template for each small glass piece. The exact position of the lead which holds the glass in place is part of the calculated visual effect. * Each piece of glass is selected for the desired colour and cut to match a section of the template. An exact fit is ensured by grozing the edges with a tool which can nibble off small pieces. * Details of faces, hair and hands can be painted onto the inner surface of the glass in a special glass paint which contains finely ground lead or copper filings, ground glass, gum arabic and a medium such as wine, vinegar or (traditionally) urine. The art of painting details became increasingly elaborate and reached its height in the early 20th century. * Once the window is cut and painted, the pieces are assembled by slotting them into H-sectioned lead cames. The joints are then all soldered together and the glass pieces are stopped from rattling and the window made weatherproof by forcing a soft oily cement or mastic between the glass and the cames. * Traditionally, when the windows were inserted into the window spaces, iron rods were put across at various points, to support the weight of the window, which was tied to the rods by copper wire. Some very large early Gothic windows are divided into sections by heavy metal frames called ferramenta. This method of support was also favoured for large, usually painted, windows of the Baroque period. * From 1300 onwards, artists started using silver stain which was made with silver nitrate. It gave a yellow effect ranging from pale lemon to deep orange. It was usually painted onto the outside of a piece of glass, then fired to make it permanent. This yellow was particularly useful for enhancing borders, canopies and haloes, and turning blue glass into green glass for green grass. * By about 1450 a stain known as Cousin's rose was used to enhance flesh tones. * In the 1500s a range of glass stains were introduced, most of them coloured by ground glass particles. They were a form of enamel. Painting on glass with these stains was initially used for small heraldic designs and other details. By the 1600s a style of stained glass had evolved that was no longer dependent upon the skilful cutting of coloured glass into sections. Scenes were painted onto glass panels of square format, like tiles. The colours were annealed to the glass and the pieces were assembled into metal frames. * In modern windows, copper foil is now sometimes used instead of lead. For further technical details, see Lead came and copper foil glasswork.
