Your Herald has been acting strangely all morning, sneaking around the house, and jumping at every small noise. The cause of this behavior is discovered shortly; you find that a priceless object has been broken and it would appear that it was your Herald that broke it.
What is the object and what is its importance? How do you react to this? Do you punish them or let them off with a warning? How does your Herald react? Was it your Herald that broke the object or maybe s/he was an observer to the act?

It was late afternoon as Shino made her way to the Church; the place that she used to once call home. After being adopted, she was brought to live with her new family in Nightshade Manor, past the far outskirts of the city of Gaia.
In her time at the house, she'd of course been given a new wardrobe, and lessons on all the school subjects, even music lessons; which had quickly become her favorite. It provided a whole new look at life, gifted her by her new loving parents.
To top things off, Shino was given free roam of the household of course, which meant she could wander wherever she desired. One day, she found the stairs leading to the dark and dusty attic. Amongst the spiderwebs, furniture, and white sheets, the little mouse girl found a chest of old toys.
Reaching in, she gently rummaged through, until she lay eyes on the most beautiful, wonderous-looking toy ever imaginable----to her at least. A marionette of a woman holding a violin. The woman's dress was frayed, and it was obvious she hadn't been played with in a long while, but this would soon change as she quickly became Shino's favorite toy.
Today, Friday, Shino had decided to visit her old residence where she used to play. She would bring her marionette which she lovingly named Anna Lucia with her, and pitter away the weekend, having fun in the Church Bell Tower.
Black heels clicked on the concrete as, a dolled-up Shino made her way through the Church Yard. In her arms hung Anna Lucia. Before going inside though, Shino wanted to visit the new statue that had mysteriously appeared in the Cemetery; a beautiful angel looking down at a silver slab.
Black hair fluttered in the breeze, curling around the mouse girl's ears. Her emerald eyes glittered as the sunset on the horizon. Something white had captured Shino's attention. Could it be? A herald! And it looked injured. Quickly, the little girl ran across the grass, falling a few times. But she picked herself back up, and didn't stop until she was at the fallen messanger's side.
The Herald gazed up at her, with soft-spoken eyes. Without a word, it seemed to be calling out for help. Feathers were scattered everywhere; the remanents of once elegant wings. It's stare, shifted from Shino to the silver slab at the statue's feet. With all the strength she could must, Shino helped the Herald to the slab.
She would need a scacrifice.
How did she know? A gut feeling? or perhaps something she had heard from the others during her search for the Heralds when they had all disappeared? She couldn't be sure. Taking Anna Lucia, she placed the marionette on the slab beside the Herald knowing full well that she would never see her favorite toy again. But it was going to a better cause. She could save this Herald.
A smile slowly spread across the Herald's face as it began to glow along with the marionette. When the light vanished, a very ecstatic, and much healthier-looking Herald remained. It immediately enveloped Shino in a warm embrace, wrapping it's small arms around her as best it could.
"You need a name little one." Shino's voice interrupted the silence. "How about....Locke?"
The Herald nodded in understanding. It was apparently pleased with her choice. And so pleased, Shino turned for home. Wondering if the herald would be all right on its own.

The lights from the chandaliers were dimmed. Candles lined the long dining room table with a warm glow that was pleasing to the senses. Shino sat at one end of the table, her parents at the other. She disliked this because it was impossible to hold an entire conversation while shouting back and forth across the room, but it was custom for them to set the party occupy both heads of the table. Though tonight, the young mouse girl wasn't thinking about the bothersome seating arrangement. Instead she was snuggling down in her chair, enjoying the warmth and serene peace surrounding her.
Outside on the other hand, she knew, was a raging storm. The loud thunder couldn't be heard in this room, but every once in awhile the lights would flicker. Rain was coming down in buckets, running down the sides of Nightshade manor, and beating against the tall but somewhat narrow windows. The trees in the courtyard were slightly bent from the pressure of the downpour and occasionally a twiggy branch or two would snap off.
Shino was about to dig into her meal when the lights flickered again. This time they stayed out for a good five minutes before coming on again. In the meantime the candles provided enough illumation for the time being. No one bothered to leave the table and check the circuit breaker. The hired help would of course attend to it if need be.
But for just that moment. Sitting surrounded by the illuminating glow of the flames dancing on their wicks, Shino had a thougt. A terribly unpleasant thought. That Herald. The one she had given the sacrifice too. Had it found a home? What if it was still hanging around the graveyard? This weather was horrible, and Locke, as Shino called him, would be caught in the stom. Possibly cold and alone......
She immediately lept from her seat and darted out of the room, calling back to her parents in the process. "There's an emergency! I have to go! I'll be back! Don't worry! Bye!" And with that she vanished in to the vastness of the house to find the tools she'd be needing.
Her parents were left stunned, and with no time to object. Quickly they sent a few of the staff out after her with flashlights.
Shino hadn't been lucky enough to find one of those. Instead she had found a lantern and a wad of blankets. She shoved the blankets into a sack and threw it over her shoulder. In her other hand she held an elegant looking black umbrella that matched her black lace dress, and boots. She held out the light and made her way to the stables, her heels clicking on the cobblestone.
After a long, and somewhat tiresome debate with the stableboy, he agreed to take her into town. Crawling back into the carriage was a task in itself. Shino folded up the umbrella and tossed her things inside coach, followed by herself. She sat herself down. Pretty soon she could feel the vehicle begin to move. The horse was obviously not pleased with her choice to go out in the rain, as she could hear it snorting and causing a fuss as it hauled her to town.
About 20 minutes later she had arrived all the way at the Church. It was the only place she could think of to start looking. Back at home the staff was searching all over the grounds for her.
She ordered the stable boy to stay there with the carriage until she returned. Hopping out with just the umbrella she ran off toward the graveyard. But it seemed empty. There was nothing there, only the large statue, where she had make her sacrifce to Locke.
Saddened she looked toward the Church. Maybe...just maybe...if she was lucky... For a split second she thought she saw a ghost like figure against the foggy glass of a window. But perhasps her eyes were playing tricks on her. Or perhaps not... Very suddenly the doors to the Church opened a pale figured dashed toward her. Within moments Shino found herself with Locke wrapping his arms as tightly around her as he could. It was miracle in itself. He was still there, and living in her old home. She would have to search no longer.
A tear of joy ran down her cheek as she hugged him back, holding him in a tight embrace. She felt so connected to him, like a mother, though she may still seem a little young for that. Locke was ecstatic to see her too. He was to weak to say anything before. He hadn't wanted her to leave. But words would not come from his mouth. He had watched in dismay as she left that day. But he wasn't about to let it happen again.
The rain was still falling, and now the two standing outside were both soaked. Shino sighed with a newfound content though and brought Locke to the carriage. She quickly got him inside. And began to use the blankets to dry him off. He tried to do the same for her as well, but she wouldn't let him. She was to busy fussing over the boy to let him play copycat. The carriage had started back home and soon everyone was safe inside.
Shino, Locke, and the members of the staff that had gone out looking for the mouse girl, were sitting on the floor, gathered around the fireplace, thanking God for cold medicine.

With Shino's heartfelt sacrifice, it didn't take long for Locke to absorb it, and begin his change. From a tired, wingless, genderless fallen messanger to a beautiful baby Herald. In a burst of white light, the change was sudden. It had only taken maybe a few weeks.
With the arrival of a baby in the household, a maid was assigned to personally help Shino take care of Locke, because she refused to let someone else do it. So after a long negotiation, Shino got to do it, WITH assistance; which was good enough for her.

The little mouse girl sighed as she watched Locke flail around desperately on the floor as he tried to reach his back. Shino couldn't help but think that he looked like a little wiggle-worm, trying to get free from something it had unfortunately managed to get stuck in. But for Locke this was not the case. He has an itch; a terrible itch. He growled irritably as he rubbed his back against the carpet. He scooted himself backward until he rammed into the sofa. He paused a moment and frowned, upset that something was blocking his path, but the room couldn't go on forever in one direction-but he was of course too young to understand this, and immediately began banging his little fists against the cushiony obstruction.
Shino giggled, and went over to pick up the little angel. He had changed so much since she had first brought him home. For instance the fact that he was...well...a HE. No longer a genderless, frail being. Now he was full of energy, and his bright blue eyes sparkled with wonder. His fluffy white bangs fell in his face as he hung loosely onto his 'Mommy-Shino', and she brushed them back. "Maybe it's time to put some more of that cream the doctor gave us on your back Locke. That strange red rash seemed to be disappearing....but I can't say it's really helped with your itching.... huh?"
Just then, Shino could feel a small poking at her arm, where she was holding into the baby. Her eyes widened in shock as she gently set him back on the floor and removed his tshirt. "OMG!" she yelped in suprise, almost causing Locke to fall forward at the sudden noise. Amazingly enough he didn't cry, but instead gave what sounded like a sigh of relief. He was happy to get his shirt off. It seemed to have helped him to feel better, if only a little bit. But he wasn't sure why. But that's because he couldn't see what was causing all the itching.
Shino gaped at the little wings that were now beginning to protrude from Locke's shoulders. They were a strange mix of colors; maroon and what seemed almost like wood and string. It reminded her of the marionette she had given him as a sacrifice. She reached out and traced her hand along feathers, making Locke giggle with glee. He rolled over onto the floor to begin his wiggle-worm dance once more, hoping it would prove more effective this time now that he was shirtless. But Shino stopped him.
"Looocke. You shouldn't do that. You have wings that are trying to grow back there. I'm sure it isn't good for them. We'll just have to find a way to keep you from needing to scratch until they're grown in. But what...... our family doctor couldn't help...so maybe..... oh wait! I know! Pyper and Eri-chan! They mix up potions and remedies all the time. I should go ask them at the shrine for help. And Eri has wings too, maybe she had the same problem growing up!"
Excited about her new plan, Shino quickly got Locke ready and headed for the temple. There she knew she would find the answer to their problem. It was only a matter of time until they arrived.

Shino gaped at the scene before her. Her favorite dolls were colored on, and had papers and things glued all over them. Some even had broken boards shoved in their backs. It was quite a horrific scene, at least for her. And what made matters worse? Locke had been hiding in here, and when Shino got in, he flew off like the dickens. "He didn't do this did he?" the mouse child asked herself. "Why? Why would he do that?" She wanted to cry. She loved those dolls. The doll house still seemed in tackt however. It was modeled after her own home.
Wiping her tears away, she huffed a litte in irritance, and stomped off. She had to find Locke, and demand that he tell her the truth. "He-he had better have a good reason f-for this," she sniffed. Her long tail swished back in forth as she made her way through the many halls of the manor. She didn't call out for Locke though. She didn't want to scare him. She'd never hurt him, but she knew he'd still get scared and run away. After all, the dolls were so precious to her, and he KNEW that.
It didn't take long though, to find the boy. He was hiding in the attic by the light of small lantern. He loved it up there, there were lots of old toys, especially the marionettes he was so fond of. He seemed rather unhappy though, sitting there on the wood floor. Even with the shadows, Shino could still see tears running down his face. He knew what he had done was bad.
"My little attic angel.....why...why did you?" Shino began, trying not to sob.
Locke lowered his head, and stood up. Without saying anything else he grabbed his momma's hand and blew out the lantern, before leading her back downstairs to the doll house room. He stopped, and simply pointed. He wanted her to look again; to look closer at what he'd done. He knew how much they meant to her Shino, but this house, these dolls, they were all modeled to be family; a family like them. What he had down was simple. If the house was theirs, then the people were them.
The doll with the boards in the back, Shino couldn't help but notice they looked very much like wings. And this doll was smaller than rest. Could he have? What had happened was slowly dawning on the girl. "You wanted that to be us didn't you? You were unhappy cause your doll was missing....or rather...it didn't look like you?" Her eyes started to water. She knew in her heart she had already forgiven him.
And Locked seemed to read her mind. He was glad she wasn't mad anymore. He nodded, and quickly found himself in Shino's tight embrace. He smiled and buried his head in her chest. Even with some thing like this, happy endings were still possible, and it gave him hope. He was so glad he had been reborn, especially here, with these people he loved so much. He couldn't ask for anything more.

HERE'S THE INFO FOR THE VILLIAN-HERO EVENT PD Erina_Nobara LOOKIT ME! I AM A HERO!Herald: Locke Hero-Villian: Kurama/Shuichi Minamino Appearance Changes: a purple-ish school uniform usually or chinese-style clothes. But we'll go with the first. And a rose he carries in his fluffy hair Acquired Traits: enhanced physcial strength/pain tolerance and power over plants Why this character?: I chose Kurama/Shuichi Minamino because I absolutely LOVE him! But now on to more legitimate reasons as to why I picked this character. First off, is how well I feel I can identify with him at times. And despite starting out his life as a criminal, he gained new priorities and a sense of what is truly important in life. Kurama also has a lot of respect for his mother, and I feel the same way about my mom for personal reasons, I will not delve into that. But my mom is really important to me, and I wish everybody could have a good relation ship with their mothers. And I'm not talking just the mom who gave birth to you, but step-moms, adopted moms, etc. xD; But I also really like Kurama's soft-spoken yet extremely meaningful dialogue. He's somebody everyone can look up to in all kinds of ways. He's extremely intelligent, and kind. And though he may seem perfect, he does also acknowlege his flaws. Because not everyone is a perfect person. Though he is pretty damn idealistic in my opinion. But I like that. You can't have a perfect hero with no flaws, because there'd be no story, no way to identify yourself with them; no common ground to bond with the character, and it's no fun to ready if you know they're perfect and can do anything. A completely invincible person is not a cool main character in my opinion. They have to have some weakness or major flaw or the're inhuman and a dull read/watch. Back to Kurama though, I also love roses. It's my favorite flower, and my birth flower actually. His attacks are as good-looking as he is as well. He's attractive as far as cartoons go! (lol) I also like his hair. I can't really explain why....I just do. And his willingness to sacrifice himself for his family and friends is amazing! I wish I had that kind of courage. I'd like to think I'd take a bullet for somebody, but if it really came down to it, it makes me wonder. Would I hesitate? Seconds could mean the difference. What gets me though is that he thinks he isn't honorable. Who on earth in that series is more honarable then him?! Someone needs to whap him upside the head and give him a good talking-too. xD Also, and this may seem kinda random, but he's in great shape. I am not. I wish I was! I'm always tired, though my lack of strength is due to illness. I wish I had that kind of energy, and a fit body. He can inspire me then to take my meds, and excercise, and not give up ever! xD But yes, Kurama is my hero! He's so awesome!<3333 The End xD;
