The leaves are changing colors, and there's a chill in the air. You'll be lucky if the smell of cinnamon and pumpkin spice is the worst thing lurking around the corner. But, Destiny City is in good spirits, and is ready to celebrate--and we hope you are, too! This year we've brought back some old prompts, brought in some new ones, and have a new RNG RP Event! More information can be found in the Ticket Opportunities and RP Prompts! Our artists have been hard at work to bring us some stunning new characters, and all players can also earn a Halloween 2022 Treat Bag through RP participation! Roleplay opportunities will only be open from now until ~6pm EST on October 31st, but players can use roleplays started as early as October 1st towards their ticket and prize claims. The raffle will be rolled after a ticket list is compiled and winners will have 72 hours to contact the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, with their preference list. Anyone who does not respond within 72 hours will forfeit their slot.

Rules and Information All players are eligible to participate in the Halloween Event to earn Tickets for our Raffle and a Halloween 2022 Treat Bag. Players who are over Character Cap cannot win new powered art in the raffle, but they can win Alternate Civilian outfits. Civilian outfits must be used for existing characters, not new characters. Players who are on cooldown can still win new art; prizes won in the raffle do not go on any character cooldown.
Up to five raffle tickets can be earned for writing 500 words in any roleplay or solo; players do not need to use event prompts but can earn a ticket for any roleplay or solo started as of October 1st, and that has at least 500 words as of 6PM EST October 31st.
Characters can participate as powered or civilian; these prompts are free to play with. You may choose to use the prompt as inspiration for a roleplay; it does not need to follow the prompt exactly but it must be clearly inspired by or related to it in some way!
If you are a new player who is interested in joining, please remember that you can get your first civilian character for free! Information can be found here! If you need help setting up a profile, you can PM The Space Cauldron and we'll be able to work with you!
Roleplay opportunities will only be open from now until ~6 PM EST on Monday, October 31st. At that point in time, the raffle list will be finalized and we will begin rolling. Players will have 72 hours to submit prize preferences, and winners will be announced at the 72 hour mark or as soon as all winners have sent in their preference list.
All other shop rules apply during this event. Have fun!

Ticket Opportunities and RP Prompts
Ticket Opportunities
Tickets can be earned from any roleplay started from October 1st until 6PM EST October 31st. Roleplays or solos do not need to be finished but players must write at least 500 words to earn a ticket. Players do not need to use event themed prompts, but the shop has provided a few for inspiration, including some legacy prompts and some new ones!
Players can earn up to five tickets for the raffle. If you want to write for a prompt for requirements, or just for fun, that’s fine! To claim a ticket, you will need to fill out the following code and post it in this thread! I AM CLAIMING A TICKET Link to thread: [link to the thread you are claiming for; if you are responding to a prompt, make sure you indicate which prompt you are responding to either in this form or the thread!] PromptsAll prompt responses must be posted in the Mini-Event subforum and can be written as a solo, a regular, or a battle (if applicable!). These should be labelled [Event-S], [Event-R], or [Event-B]. If you roleplay a disposable, these will not count towards any growth requirements for them, but if you are roleplaying with someone who has a disposable, it can still count for growth for your official character. To be eligible for any prizes, you must write at least five hundred words per roleplay. You should include the prompt you are using in the first post of the RP or Solo. The roleplay does not have to be finished to count towards a prize (unless otherwise stated) but it will need to be finished before it can be used for growth requirements. While these events are written so that you only need a civilian to participate, you can play a powered character! In addition to a few new prompts for this year, we are recycling some prompts from previous years so characters who didn't get to participate before can experience them now! Please remember--prompts are meant to be inspirations for your roleplays. You do not have to follow them completely, but the roleplay or solo should be obviously inspired by or related to the prompt you are using. Legacy Prompts:Quote: Strays (1) : Destiny City News reports several sightings of ‘feral dogs' appearing throughout the city. Those interviewed claim that the dogs would surround them and chase them down the streets, seemingly popping in and out of sight until the person finally found themselves in a well lit area. You have the misfortune of running into these same dogs. They cling to the shadows as you go about your way at night. Seemingly at the corner of your vision, one flickers by, and you turn and see nothing. Again and again it happens. They are trying to drive you into the darkest corners of the city, herding you away from the light. In the nearby distance are the lights of the city: streetlights, signs, traffic. You have to do something to get there, to escape these creatures. When you make it to any significant light source, you hear a low growl, a wailing hiss; the dogs have vanished. For now. Quote: Familiar Faces (2) : As you walk around town, you start to notice that people seem different. Faces you used to remember have been swallowed by shadows; you may 'know' the person by a feeling, but their face is completely masked in deep black shadow. Their voice is unfamiliar, and it's clear to you that something is wrong, but no sense of logic can explain this. Shadows seem to be replacing people around you--associates, neighbors, maybe even friends or family members. Even if they act completely normal, you are left with an unsettling feeling. The shadow impostors seem to come and go, and are always just convincing enough to pass for someone in your life. It’s hard to feel safe anymore. Maybe you’ve just come down with something–or, maybe something from the shadows is just watching you. Quote: Regularly Scheduled Programming (3) : With Halloween just around the corner, television stations are constantly playing various spooky themed movies and episodes of your favorite shows. When you sit down to watch something in particular, the screen goes static. You try to change the channel but every one of them is static. If you continue to watch (or attempt to fix the television), an eerie voice comes across the speakers begging for help and that they're coming. No matter what you do or say, they only repeat the same phrases. When you turn off the television and turn it back on again, everything has turned to its regularly scheduled programming.. Quote: Rest in Peace (4) : While making your way through Destiny City, you wind up taking a path you’ve never taken before. Maybe you’re following directions, maybe you got lost, maybe you were just looking for a shortcut—things were going well, until you wind up needing to pass through a graveyard. It seems normal enough—until you pass by a grave and get a powerful chill down your spine. When you stop and look at it, you see the gravestone has your name; beneath it, your birthday and today’s date. If you leave and return, the gravestone remains, but the name and dates look like they’ve been clawed off. Quote: The Spiders (5) :Webs have begun to appear all over Destiny City at an alarming pace; at first it doesn’t seem like anything to be concerned with–maybe a web over a window or door frame is the worst you see, but there have been reports of webs that cover a whole tree or even entire cars. The media cites changing weather patterns and, even though you don’t see any spiders, it’s clear you might have a problem. Once, Destiny City had a bad run in with Giant Spiders. Now, you can’t even see them. Tiny little spiders are either passing through for the season–or they’re back for revenge. It depends on how superstitious you are. Either way, these little spiders might be small–almost always tinier than a pea–but they can still leave a bit of damage in their wake. Their legs are tiny and needle-like, and their fangs are even worse. They might show up alone or in a swarm, but they always disappear shortly after attacking. And, these spiders are very aggressive. Being bitten can cause nausea, dizziness, fatigue and hallucinations. These symptoms can begin immediately or can manifest up to a few hours afterwards, but the symptoms always seem to clear up within a day or two. Just be careful not to get bitten again. New Prompts:Quote: The Leaves (6) : With the changing seasons, there are piles of leaves all around Destiny City. It’s a difficult job to try and keep up with them all, and sometimes the allure of these leaf piles is impossible to ignore. Who doesn’t want to relive the childish joys of their youth? And no one’s around to see, right? So why not jump into a pile of leaves? Oh–because, when you do, you jump through one pile and come out of another somewhere else across the city. The leaves all seem ordinary, but there’s a few odd seconds between when you jump into the leaves and when you jump out; it feels like falling, tumbling, somersaulting through the air. It’s not scary, just odd. You see walls of leaves–brown and orange and yellow and red–and they crunch magnificently. Overall, it doesn’t seem menacing, just a bit of trickster fun. If you try to jump in a pile of leaves again, you might wind up somewhere else entirely–or right back where you started. Quote: The Gargoyles (7) : By all accounts, you should have seen the last of them. The Star Festival had its fair share of oddities, but it seems like some of them did escape into Destiny City. Maybe you see them perched on the roof, or hiding in the shadows, but not all of these grotesque creatures are satisfied with just escaping their interdimensional prison–some of them still have a bone to pick. They seem stony; some of them will watch with a penetrative gaze and never strike to attack, but some of them will dive down to target anyone who gets too close. The monsters come in an array of sizes and shapes, but they are no more than half the size of their target. Their goal is uncertain, but they will crumble into a pile of rocks and dust if struck hard enough. Powered characters can use one roleplay with an attacking stone beast to count as a battle requirement if they are roleplaying with another powered character. Quote: The Pumpkin Thief (8 ) : Every now and then, a few pumpkins will disappear from a local pumpkin patch. It’s probably just some teenagers playing pranks, or some wild animals, or–oh, this is Destiny City. Of course there are rumors that it might actually be some furry, moss covered behemoth from the forest. And, there’s credence to that rumor, because maybe you’ve seen it, too. It’s a strange creature that keeps its distance. It almost looks like it might be a skinny, malformed bear but there’s something just off about it. Sometimes, it just steals pumpkins and you find their carcasses strewn about not far off. Sometimes, it throws the pumpkins–at people, at places. Sometimes, it carves out a hideous face and wears the pumpkin like a mask. It cannot be caught, and it will always run off into the wood if engaged. Sometimes, you can hear a strange, ghoulish bellow as it disappears into the forest. Quote: The Noises (9) : There’s a noise somewhere around you and you don’t know where it’s coming from, or what it is. Maybe it’s the sound of something otherwise normal–glasses clinking, someone walking, a clock chiming–except, it doesn’t belong there. It’s a common noise, it just has no source. Or, maybe it’s something scarier–a whisper, a scratch, and wail. The noises come and go without any apparent source. It’s constant. For minutes, or hours, or days. And then, it stops, with no explanation, and that’s almost as scary as when it started. Quote: The Call (10) : An unknown number calls you. Maybe you pick it up, maybe you don’t, but the message is the same–someone on the other line is warning you about something. They seem to have details that give credence to whatever they’re warning you about, but there’s something particularly unbelievable about it all–because, they sound like you. And they know things only you would know. And then, the line drops, and you’re left alone. If you try to call the number back, it’s been disconnected. If it was a prank, it was a good one. But, maybe there was something more to it. Special Prompts:
