Info/History
Tathy is one of three triplet sons born to Terrwyn and Thallassa. He lives at his families ranch in Matori and spends his days getting up to mischief with his brothers. The boys came into a world that changed locations rather quickly once it was determined just whose children they had been. Terrwyn had been in an unhappy abusive arranged marriage and she and Thallassa agreed to get her out of it. It worked rather well and with the help of a shady uncle they were smuggled quite neatly out of Tale and into Matori where their lives were able to begin without threat.

They are part and parcel of a large boisterous family full of beast charmers and other handy professions.

Personality:
Rambunctious - quite hyper, hard to sit still unless deep in thought
Over thinker - he worries quite a bit and thinks through every possible situation
Thoughtful - He takes time to work through things and rarely makes a split decision..unless the other boys are involved.
Dauntless - he is not afraid of much once it has been thoroughly thought through.
Tactician - being thoughtful comes in handy when you are preping for your next attack/adventure/prank

Crazy Cat Dad YounglingSolo1
At times like this it was a very handy thing to be a smallish stealthy youngling with an entire ranch to roam about on. In an uncommon, strange twist of fate, no doubt the whim of some bored god in their diverse pantheon, both of his brothers were also busy and his Father was trying to canoodle his Mother. Thus he was free to explore wherever he wanted to go. Free for once to do anything he wanted. First he checked on Jiu’s janarim. Then he sort of just let his feet take him wherever. There were family members scattered about everywhere, going about their day.
For the most part he worked on his stealth skills, sneaking up on people and critters alike before slithering away again. Usually he was clear of them again before he was noticed and thus not having to join them on whatever chore they were going about. It was great practice and he was determined to master it! It would add to the strength of the triplet team, more strength was always a good thing. He also wanted to contribute more.
He thought of an animal he might want as a familiar and snuck into his room for his change purse. He had done extra chores and saved every penny until he had enough to buy any familiar he wanted. He was still deciding between perzi and zanteer though. His grandfather currently didn’t have very many of either beast. The very thought of new animal friends made him excited. His brother Jiu had the janarim and he too wanted an animal companion. It would make him less lonely when his brothers were not around. Besides they were very cute! He wanted something more snuggly than a janarim for now though!
He wasn’t sure which critter he would want as a mount. Probably a janarim, though snaptrotters and xaraan were cool. He let someone know where he was going and why. A lesson that had been imprinted on his butt during his latest outing with Innsaei. The market was a great deal less upsetting than attempting to wrangle a Yaotl, especially when that Yaotl was Bob. There at the ranch for a sour and indomitable spirit. He and Saei would no doubt come up against the beast again. It felt like a right of passage to him now., But not today, today was for finding less terrifying critters!
The trip to the market went well. He had taken his Father’s snaptrotter Myr as swift and effective transportation,. It was a full moon so every critter had a bit more sass than normal. But Myr loved the triplets so much and most importantly, no one would touch Tathy with him around. They would no doubt loose an arm down the beast’s gullet if they tried.
Needless to say Tathy loved Myr with all of his heart. He was not at all afraid fo the carnives extra large teeth. He loved the smooth and scaley dark green hide. Myr had been there from the first day he had been on this earth. He had according to his Dad, been the first animal that Thallassa had ever trained. He also still sassed his Dad once in a while for fun, which was spectacular to see.
Especially the one day he had stolen his Father’s boot and gone out to sea with it. Tathy had fallen over laughing. He hoped that one day his Father’s dream of using Myr as a stud came true because Tathy would love to have one of his hatchlings. For now though he got to play with the original. So much fun! He must look a sight, riding into town on the great big war beast.
He found a critter market that looked interesting and tied Myr lightly to the hitching rail, mostly for everyone else’s comfort as Myr was loyal and very well trained. He was tied lightly in case Tathy needed help. He would never forget what happened to his cousin Elaxi, or the scars that his Aunt Saeruin still bore in her side. They added ot her beauty, she was a gorgeous woman, but it was still a stark reminder of the violence she had survived tyring to protect her daughter. The triplet had been awfully young when it happened but something you just did not forget and their cousin Kechiri hadn’t been the same since. Her fire had been henceforth channeled into cold calculating thought and an indominable will.
The door jingled sweetly when he opened it, a water prentice looked up from the book she had been reading. “hello, can I help you find something?” He nodded, “I would like to see the perzi you have please.” She did not need to know how much beast tamer blood coursed through his veins.
He wasn’t going to be one in the same sense that most of his family was, he was leaning toward the hunter ranger path like his Mother, but he wanted to study any and all animals that interested him one day, he felt like it would balance and compliment the skills of the rest of his family, and it always made him the happiest.
Which according to grandpa was the whole point. He wasn’t entirely sure what his brothers were going to choose either.
The woman led him to a clean orderly room with small runs that held two adolescent perzi each.
“You came at the right time, this litter was joined by another about the same age, some are breeding quality too.” She pointed to a white male with deep blue eyes and green crystals, and a black female with red crystals and crimson eyes. “they are the best of the bunch and unrelated to each other. Of course we have quite a few that are pet quality as well.” She turned with a small flourish to face him. “I can pull some out if you want?”
He respected her for treating him like any other customer and not just a youngling. However that did not mean that he would let down his guard. His parents had taught him to not let other people take advantage of him when he was paying for something. He would make sure when he selected the perzi he wanted to not over pay for them. Though grandpa said it was okay if the animal was of exceptionally good lines and form to pay a little more, a tip of the hat to the breeder for such a fine animal. He said that he would just know the “right” animal when the time came.
He selected quite a few animals to be brough out, including the two she had indicated as breeding quality animals.
He got the required eyeful, the next part however was the most difficult for someone so young; the haggling over an appropriate price. He took a deep breath and selected the two of breeding quality. They set to some fierce haggling. She knew he was not made of money being so young. But she also had to turn a profit and could not let such fine stock go for free. It took quite a bit of time before they settled on a decent price, she even threw in some free collars for the animals. He felt most accomplished and proud of himself and he thought that the adults in his life would be proud too! He packed a cat in each saddle bag. Myr was quite used to being critter transport, though his favorite one to pack around was his Mother Terrwyn. The two perzi were less than impressed with the arrangement and protested vocally until the rocking of Myr’s crocodillish footsteps lulled them into a somnolescent stupor.
He didn’t care that they made a bunch of noise he was now proudly a crazy cat dad and was thoroughly enthralled with his new charges.
When he got home, he set up both kitties in his room and spent an inordinant amount of time just watching them explore and interact with their new surroundings and each other. He took detailed notes about each interaction, a habit he had learned from his Dad and uncles. Later he would introduce the pair to the rest of the family but for now it was more important that they settle into their new homes. In a few months they would be old enough to breed which was good because he only had a few pennies left from all that he had saved. Oh well, he would work hard to build it back up. He looked out the window at the sprawling ranch. He wondered how long his parents wanted to stay here, they spent the majority of their time in the bush hunting and taming when they were not looking after himself and his brothers.
Though for excellent hunters they rarely came back with anything. When he asked hi Dad about it, he smiled and shrugged. “Only shoot when you are absolutely sure you are going to kill your target, otherwise the animals suffers, that is the make of a good hunter.

Depression and Anxiety Solo
He had been looking for his brothers but for once he could not find them. He felt oddly bereft. There were other family members about but he didn't really feel like talking to them. They didn't understand him and his sould felt sad and weary and he didn't know why. He couldn't find either of his parents either, they were the equivalent to his brothers. He sighed and shuffled off. he started cleaning barn stalls for lack of anything else to entertain himself, and because keeping his hands busy seemed to help his mind. He felt a sense of accomplishment doing something useful for the family. So at least there was that. When he finished he was all sweaty and felt a little bit better. He went back to his room after and took all of his stuff out of it and put it in the barn loft were some guests to the ranch usually stayed. He set up his perzi in there as well. they would find the barn to their liking more than his room in the big house. They might scrap a bit with the local barn perzi 'Smeggy, the ancient spotted green crystalled de rodenter cat. He was old enough that he could use the help of the younger two cats. They would sort out their hierarchy eventually after much hissing, growls and yowls. it would be a noisey few nights but he felt much better in the barn loft for some reason. He wasn't sure why but it was always good to have someone in the barn in case there was an issue that wouldn't otherwise be noticed until someone came in for a check on the barn residents. He didn't anticipate resistance to his move, his brothers would understand right away and they would find him no matter where he went.

He got like this sometimes, he was the brother that did all of the thinking and most of the talking. Most of the time he was fine, cool, suave and confident. However if he got unbalanced for whatever reason he could obsess and worry about things quite badly. Usually when this happened, his brothers were around and he basked in their presence until he felt more like his own self. When he couldn't find them, he did things like this. Not even the presence of his two perzi were keeping him happy. He wondered if his dad ever felt like this. He thought not. His dad was a chillest person he knew, he would never have a problem like this. He wondered if perhaps his grandfather Kiyelt had ever felt like this. Grandpa was almost as chill as dad. He was too cool. He was definitely where Uncle Ushi got all of his energy from. Tathy still couldn't believe that grandpa had spent years and years in the deserts of Oba, keeping janarim safe from poachers. They had all heard the story about how driven by a lonely heart, Kiyelt had moved to a tiny village in Matori. It was there that he met grandma Nin. They had met, dated and finally fallen in love. The rest was history. He hung out the upper barn window, serveying the empire that his grandparents had made together with their children. He wasn't sure he wanted seven children himself, especially if some turned out like cousin Kechiri she was always Ultra spicy, though he and his brothers together were scary. On their own she was more than a match for them, and she was only getting more powerful as she aged. He shuddered at the thought, he sighed deeply and retracted back in the window. He shuffled over to the bed and pulled back the plaid soft quilt in the family clan colors of black predominantly with shocks of blue and green threaded thinly throughout. He loved that blanket. His grandmother made them for every family member when they got old enough to have their own room. The backing was unique to each child, but the tops were nearly identical. She sourced the material from a market on the Matori mainland. He loved this blanket so much it always made him feel like Grandma Nin was giving him a hug. He couldn't sleep without it. He folded himself under the covers. He was delighted to find that the barn was quite comfortable. He dragged the quilt up over his shoulders. He never felt right without them covered. He heaved another big sigh and stared at the wooden walls. He wondered how long he would feel miserable for, it always felt like eternity when it was happening. He was grateful that this sort of thing did not happen all that often. Perhaps he should go to a healer but this wasn't like a wound or a scrape. He was pretty sure they would not be able to heal something like this. He was hoping that this would be a thing that he was only have to deal with as a prentice. Adults looked like they could handle anything that came their way. His mother had gotten out of a crappy situation. by changing her life the only way she could at the time; by having them. He sometimes wondered what had happened to her real husband. She and dad were happy together. The family was well guarded in so many ways. The man, Carlos, the family called him, had never tried to reclaim their mother. He wasn't sure if it was intelligence or cowardice that kept the man away. Or he had never simply figured out who had stolen his wife, Uncle Viltre had been very careful. He was happy that he had his own kids now one of which looked like a carbon copy of him and the other looked very, very much like Auntie Variel.
Uncle Viltre was interesting for many reasons, especially in that he had two mates. It was uncommon perhaps but as a triplet, he knew that good things came in threes. From his studies, he knew that triangles were strong shapes too, thus creating a strong relationship. It also gave the kids two moms which could only be a good thing.
The wind picked up a little outside and he was happy to hear its mournfulness and the way it threaded through the palm leaves making a whispering clacking noise. He loved that noise, it mingled with general farm noises. His chores were done. He didn't want to read or study or ride. He felt deflated and listless, he scrunched the blanket tighter around himself. He felt marginally better he wanted someone to find him but he also wanted to be left alone. Jiu was best for this sort of situation but Saei was also good. They were there for him, but not oppressive or disturbing to him. He sort of fed off the mental aura around them until his own mind calmed.

They just understood him and lent him their strength. He could fight off the demons that lived in his mind on his own. At times like these it was much harder to fight off the unexplainable dread that gripped him tightly in its talons. Sometimes sleep or food or a bath were the answer but he didn't feel like doing any of those things. He felt one of his cats jump on the bed it curled up in a ball pressed against the backside of his calf and purred, it did make him feel better. The second perzi came up on the bed and curled up its front paws and body on his torso. It was also purring, He took multiple deep breaths and thought about them and what they meant to him. He cried then, tears dashing onto his pillow making it damp. He couldn't lie on his back while crying as any tears left to track down his face would fall into his ears. It was highly annoying. So on his side he stayed, feeling the tears track their way onto his pillow. He loved his privacy. They could tell he was feeling sad and they were doing their best to comfort him. He didn't deserve pets like this. They were pure souls, so much goodness and care resided in them. He was so lucky to have them and the family he did. They were a close knit family. He was the only one that suffered from this affliction. He was grateful for that none of them did, they didn't deserve to go through this. Eventually between his special blanket, his familiars and exhaustion from crying, he drifted off to sleep.

In the end nature and time were the best cures, as was keeping himself busy. His brothers may not always be within handly reach, just as they were not today. He needed to be able to cope and thrive without them. This was the first step in a healing journey and he was just inches away from becoming a real man. For this and for his future freedom from anxiety he would fight.

Class Choice - Swarm Keeper Ranger
Since birth, he and his brothers had been attracted to the unconventional and dangerous apart they were formidable together they were truly terrifying. But as they grew, they began to strengthen themselves in whichever way called to them the loudest. He wasn't sure what Innsaei had decided on but Jiu had chosen to become a rider. He himself had taken up beekeeping, hoping to become a Beast Master slash Swarm Keeper Ranger. It'd be very cool to have spirit bees to send after their foes, a perfect distraction, it suited him rather well. He was excited to find out what Saei would choose to complement their very active attack types. It was in character that Jiu had chosen first than he, then Saei, it was the natural cascade, they must be doing something right. He hummed as he put on his bee suit. He went out to his hive with the smoker and fogged it up calming the temperamental insects before opening it up. To see what her majesty's subjects had been up to since the last time. From the looks of things they had expanded the honeycomb and nursery, it was time to add another frame. His goal was to stay just ahead of this busy insect city state, honey had become a valuable asset to the ranch for its culinary and medicinal uses. Once he was sure that he had the basics of care for his bees down he would expand to more hives.
They might have enough extra honey to sell eventually. He was excited for that. It would be a much needed way to get more coin. He had a small allowance, but this would be a much sweeter deal. Who didn't like honey after all, it was a product quite high in demand. Almost everyone could garden but not everyone was willing to bee keep. Tathy found it was often his favorite part of the day after the regular chores. He would seclude himself here with his bees and interfere with their miniature but powerful queendom. Sometimes he got to walk away with a nice chunk of honeycomb and sometimes he got an entire frame. After the first few times it had become a very peaceful practice, one did get used to the buzzing and honey was well worth it. It was still highly demanded in Tendaji over all.
It was popular for eating as well on the ranch. just as well as being stung wasn't getting any more pleasant. He could take the pain and they were getting fewer in number at least. He was better at putting the suit on there were fewer cracks in his armor. It was satisfying to go through the separation process and to can the honey after and then look upon a pantry full of sweetness. He had become more popular with the family because of his honey as it was very good. He provided for himself first then a few jars for family. Eventually he would have many more hives and really get into it. Bees were grateful beast if handled right. He couldn't wait to get more of them soon. He was doing all right with this bunch. It didn't feel like work on that was the ticket to a healthy life. If work was fun, you were making coin while having fun if work always felt like work you would never be free. He didn't much like work anyway. It was sometimes unpleasant and oftentimes sweaty and uncomfortable. He was meant for more buzzy things that had the added benefit of keeping most of the people away from him while he was working with his buzzy little pets with stings and poor senses of humor for those approaching their nest without smoke. He didn't much mind the stings. Kylaelya, a family friend had an excellent healing salve for stings like this and Tathy used it all the time. He kept a small container of it in his pocket for just such an occurrence. Though he did pretty good sting wise it never paid to be caught without the ointment. It dulled the pain right away from even the most bitter things. People thought he had superpowers but it was really just the ointment. Though it was fun to pretend. He finished up with the bees and tended to the parts of the garden that pertained to them and that part which grew food.
He loved summertime he was so lucky to be in Matori with an endless growing season. Though some things he preferred to grow in some certain seasons still, he went with the flow with the main garden which was jointly tended by those in the family with an interest in gardening. It was one of the most well tended gardens in Matori, with the sheer number of Ninyelts drawn among its sheltering leaves. It gave them all a sense of grounding, peace and also provided dinner. Could there be anything better? He was very happy that the garden drew them together. He always liked to help with the dinner time harvests. Small, but rewarding and as fresh as possible, better even than the village market. Life was just so grand once you got to know nature better in his estimation, and also coming from a family of hunters and beasts. Tamers nature was the most important and learning from it essential. Thus, he kept a detailed notebook for his observations on the bees as well as the other animals he saw on the ranch and off it in the wilds. He packed it with him everywhere. He felt completely naked without it and it was an extension of his hand and a constant companion. And a red kinfa feather quill as well sold by a local lady who owned the bird. She always kept one special for him as he ended up writing a lot each day. It was exhilarating to look back on all the lessons he had learned over the years he had been journaling away. He even had the first day he brought the bees home in that journal. They were powerful learning tools. Indeed, this current model was orange and blue and nearly full already. Daffy was already scouring the market for a new one. He was always on the hunt for the perfect journal. And he was excited to learn how to make his own one day so that he could get everything just right. You wanted to fiddle with size covers and fabrics and woods and leathers it was kind of an art in itself journal making, a completely different habit than filling them with words but still very satisfying. We had a few other hobbies too sometimes he liked to paint with Tahnee and of course the many tasks he ended up doing with his triplet brothers. He would be lost without them, but they were able to do individual things. They were not always going to be interested in the same thing. So it made sense that they would form their own opinions on things even those things which one of them became obsessed with and loved. Then again, if any could stay together long term it would also be them. The triplets managed to intimidate the adults already even though they tried to hide it. The troops knew that they had talent and amuse them to be so intimidating, for they certainly didn't think each other was intimidating and truth. His uncle and aunt, the wolf twins, were way more intimidating than he thought he would ever be. He shivered just at the very thought of having to face those two and battle he would rather face his parents, especially his dad, he was a softy. He adored their mother. She adored him back. It just might take her forever to show it. None of his sons were as mushy as yet. They might eventually get siblings he was kind of hoping for a sister. Maybe she would help him with his beekeeping and being a good swarm keeper ranger. He was glad that with him there would be another beast tamer in the family. Some of the younger generation had to keep up the ranch when the old ones got older. That was usually how it went on farms and ranches. The founders put so much of their life into creation and upkeep. They would break their hearts to have to sell out of the family after all the resources that went into the operation and maintenance of especially the bigger operations like their grandparents had. It just kept growing to include new family members and ever new critters.
He was glad to that there was a special niche for him on the ranch. The bees were definitely where he was meant to spend his career. Though he could always help the others with the other beasts. Indeed he would need a mount of his own soon enough. They were such handy darlings, but he had looked at the ones available on the ranch and they just did not quite strike his fancy.

It was for the most part, a boring and regular day and for once that just wasn't enough. Tathy took a deep breath and surveyed the ranch from the top steps. He wanted to do something exciting, maybe epic. He wanted to prove himself, the only thing he could think of was going to Oba finding a janarim nest and stealing an egg. He asked his grandpa for advice and had been given a really well real drawn map of one of the premium breeding grounds for Janarim along with advice on how to approach and nullify a scent. He would not tell his parents or his brothers This was his chosen rite of passage his bros would understand his mother would not and dad was a wee bit dumb and probably would have told her. He wandered to the stable and selected a young but well trained xaraan. He needed speed and Oba took a long time to reach over land, he should have gone by boat but his cousin would have found out, piratess busy body that she was and he had the not the patience to explain what he was doing. Sailing was easy, land travel was a much better test of his endurance. He spent time on self reflection while he traveled, he always felt good while on the road. He spent the night at roadside inns, traveling light and easy, which turned out to be nice and swift. Oba was an interesting place, he had not expected the heat though he had been warned. Birds occasionally flew overhead and added a bit of animal life to an otherwise barren landscape. There were plants though none were in bloom and they were very spiking bad temperature. As were most beings that called this place home had had been a long journey here and the task he had set himself was not an easy one. He would rest in an urban city for a few days, regain his strength and maybe explore the culture that Aunty Variel came from for a bit. He would give his arm time to rest rest to she had worked hard on her three toed feet to get him to where he needed to go. He was grateful for her help, it would have taken even longer to get this far. He stuck out like a sore thumb here. There were a few other water folk and water hybrids, but of course none quite like himself. This was to be expected in his world many looked similar to him though he had gotten his mother's glorious hair color instead of the much more common blue of his grandfather. It felt very strange to not see familiar faces. Of course he had never gone this far from home either. Even the air was different, the city full of extra bustle that never seem to plague their village at home. Except perhaps in the early morning. That was when most of the brisk trade was done. Here it seemed busy most of the time even more so at morning and night when the ambient air temperatures were better. After gaining three meals a day some rest and able to bathe in the pools during the extra crispy parts of the day he brought supplies and headed for the general nesting grounds. Thankfully, the map was well drawn and the landmarks are easy to find and follow. Soon enough they had arrived at the edge of them and from the hoots howls and roars there were many animals in full breeding swing. Janarim were dangerous but he was a triplet so he was not afraid of them. Perhaps he should be, but oh well. Such was his nature that felt for all the world like he was walking on sacred ground. This was where grandpa had spent so much time protecting wild janarim from from poachers who would not treat the animals well. Tathy who was raised in the family who knew what to look for in big predators would seek out a breeding pair that were to his liking and steal one egg to raise his own and if it met the requirements, they could add its genetics to the pack they already had. They were always looking to improve their current bloodlines. After all, that an extremely thorough training put him in a training class of their own. It was long past time for him to find a mount they had many candidates at home but he wanted to do this right and from scratch and to have it be significant. This was in his opinion, the best thing he could do to ensure the strongest bond and the most sentimentality possible. He and his Janardan would be on another level a deeper vibe than most people in their critters. That was the level he enjoyed with his brothers. And it was what he would strive for with his mounts and hopefully his mate one day, though it wouldn't be possible to bond with a mate from hatching. He could try and understand them but he was far too young for all that nonsense at the moment. Coming back to the present moment he dropped tied his xaraan in case the bird had to leave the area for her safety. She was very well trained, so he didn't think she would leave the area on her own. She would likely try and find him if something happened. She was a very smart bird at least. The sun was making its climb to the zenith he started his careful survey of the dinar in Paris in the area some of the males were fit enough to have multiple females but this was not the norm. He was astounded about how many of them were here add to that there happened to be multiple breeding grounds and he thought that the wild population was doing pretty good. It was great to see and he was sure that grandpa Kiyelt would be happy to hear that overall the critters were doing good. He continued on he had known it wouldn't exactly be a walk in the park. He also had to be mindful not to annoy them. No one of any species was more territorial than when they were eggs involved. His species included despite being viviparous. New mamas on the ranch were very highly respected. Eventually, in the heart of the breeding grounds by an oasis he found his target family, a black pair one the bowl with bright red eyes and the doe a blue eyed female. These had to be some of the best specimens so far as he could tell. There was only one female with the nest the Bull had fought hard for this spot and this shiny plated female. He couldn't have had more females. But he suspected that this was more of a life mate situation. This was good for genetic continuation and behavior plus it significantly raised the survival rate of the young. However, it would also make it more difficult to steal an egg. He crept forward to an area that was sheltered downwind of the nest and offered a decent view of the nest. It also was not a game trail in any way. Thankfully, he was relatively safe for the moment he took notes and marked the target nest on the map. Then the waiting game started. Eventually he got very lucky and another generic distracted the parents so they felt they had to defend the border of their nesting territory. He rolled in the dust and use the spray that he had been given to nullify his scent to norm had a great sense of smell and he did not relish the idea of women coming up behind him and taking a giant arm size bite out of his booty. He wanted to make it home from this adventure he broke cover and crouching scurried to the next next nest and took the largest egg of three. He wrapped his arm around and scurried back to a different shelter, but one still opposite from where the norm had went. His heart was racing, but he did not wait for too long. They might notice the egg missing and he couldn't escape without the xaraan he started the slow but steady way out of the breeding grounds. He paused when he was away from the nest and wrap the egg and put it on his back so he could move fast without the risk of dropping the darn thing. He had known that it would be hard and he was definitely in earning his reward. He drank from the canteen frequently and I finally made it to the patient xaraan at the edge of the grounds. He loaded the egg with padding and placed it in the saddlebag. Then he mounted up and got the heck out of there. Only when he reached the city did he finally take an easy deep breath. He had completed phase one of his journey he was far from done but it was much less likely that he would get mauled from an angry germ. His hands shook a bit from the length of time he had been charged with adrenaline it had not been easy and he was very glad to be back at the city to norm with nothing to sneeze at angry Gennaro even more so. Maybe that was why his whole family or at least most of them seem to be obsessed with them. They were cool. That was why he wanted one. He also admired his father's bond with Myr, who happened to be a snaptrotter, another highly dangerous, highly beautiful species, and they had the second most revered position on the ranch. Well, they would all get a surprise when he brought home his egg. All except for grandpa yelled death. He had been clever in who he went to for help. Kyle had known this was something he needed to do a coming of age as it was just his parents had arranged for him as apprentice when it looked like nobility and class difference in Zenawould take him down a route that ended in snobbery. Kathy was glad it happened the way it had or the Empire grandpa founded with grandma Nin might never have come to be no time to reminisce on these things. He looked after the Tsar and and settled the egg in his room at the end before grabbing a well deserved meal and going to bed early. He had a long journey home and precious cargo that needed to be in the breeding barn. Now it was his turn to be a very concerned parent he had managed to steal the egg at the beginning of the clutch laying and the pair would likely lay quite a few more eggs. They would not be impacted over much by his left, but he owed it to them to do a good job raising their baby as his own. If it qualified as breeding stock and was male than they would make a huge difference genetically. Technically, that would also be success higher than it would likely ever happened in the wild. A female of good breeding would be of higher value than most males too, though her genetics would make a big difference through her offspring rather than how many females a single male could cover. Though she could bear a really good son and spread the love a bit as well. And even if they were not breeding quality they were they would live a long safe relatively and happy life as his companion at least it would have a great home with medical care even if it could not be with his actual parents. He would give this creature a good life and he would do his best to look after it. He would uphold the family beast taming honor and do his family proud. That was very important to him. He had been blessed with a wonderful and eclectic family and he would make them proud.

The wind howled outside, they put the animals in the barn for their safety. And as they had many large trees on the property, the family was holed up inside to also wait it out. Tathy watched the wind tug and pull on the trees like a radaku pup on a lost sock. He liked to watch storms but he was still concerned for the animals, particularly the egg he had brought home. He wanted desperately to go and check on it, but he wasn't supposed to go out in these dangerous winds and was a cool ambience. He went and got one of his books but couldn't read. He went back to the window and folded himself up the book resting open on his raised knee. He continued to stare. That's it. He was going he snapped the book shut and made for the front door. However a blockade of family shooed him up the stairs again. He was bitter, but they looked just as antsy as he was their animals were all out in the barn to excuse me. Perhaps he had been selfish trying to get out there he sided flop back in the bed staring at the ceiling now. Inactivity was actually pretty hard to adjust to when he lived on a ranch that was never quiet. He thrashed around for a bit displeased with his captivity. He held back by a storm he didn't think so. He had tried to be good it was not working. Well he was a triplet or was he a triplet? He shook his head. He was in the floppy puppy stage of hair length that every teenage boy seem to go through as they approach the cusp of manhood. He flicked his bangs out of his eyes, a fire burned there now an inner light that plays from his soul, a flame that not even the ravaging winds outside could steal away or extinguish. He promptly crawled out the window the shape of the building just sheltering him. He had done this many times and knew the best route down the vine and crusted wood. Vines provided welcome handholds and sometimes sweet berries. His feet thumped to the ground, and a fresh gale buffeted him not for the first time did he wish for the more muscular frame of his father, maybe then he would not be at risk of blowing away. The young man disappeared into the mouth of the barn to stay with the critters until the swarm ceased.

Grandma Nin said that his egg should be close to hatching now that he refused to sway too far from the main barn. Everyone had weathered the storm from a few days ago rather well. He stopped by for the third time that day to check on his egg. This time the shell was cracked and he immediately settled in to watch the long anticipated birth of his new best friend, and soon to be lifelong companion. Other cracks joined the others in a dark little foot popped out of the thick calcified shell. It looked so far like its parents he wondered what eye color it would get hatching was a slow process one that could not really be rushed until it looked like the hatchling really needed help.
It was a good first exercise to fight your way out of the shell or so he had been told by multiple family members. Tathy was grateful to live with so many great living resources. Though at times he did like figuring things out for himself. There was something to be said for control and trial and error. But this was very important. So he would heed the advice of his family. Time passed and eventually the baby flexed hard and the shell split apart to spit the baby out. He waited with bated breath. She sat up opened her bright red eyes and looked at him immediately and locked on him to norm like many creatures that reproduce via egg had an imprinting tendency for the first being that they saw. He had been quite successful. He put out a hand and let her sniff it. He was so very happy that he had been privileged enough to see her born. He offered her his hand wiggling the fingers to hopefully draw her over for a sniff. scent was another anchor that helped cement the bond. She would be able to recognize and track him which was also very important. She at first leaned toward him sniffing curiously as he had hoped would happen. He indeed felt like a very proud parent. "Aren't you just the most beautiful girl in the world? "He gently scratched under her jaw. "What a darling." This was the beginning of the longest journey of his life. He took a piece of meat that had been readied for her hatching when he'd waited for the crack in her shell to progress. He would keep her egg shell it would dry out Handley in the hot material and sun.

The sound in the wind of the leaves were the constant comfort to him in Matori his beloved home, apparently in Zina and the leaves fall off the trees and they remain naked through winter until spring. He had to admit that that sounded super lonely. The sounds and sensitive nature was what brought him comfort on rough days, his family said he would likely outgrow his overthinking tendencies. He really hoped so as these events sucked, usually hanging out with his brothers carried it but when they were not around, he ranged until he felt better. Sometimes he found himself rather deep in the Victorian woodlands. Thankfully, today, he wasn't feeling off and this was his regular curious dauntless self. He sang as he moved about the ranch checking on animals, all the tours were done, so they got to enjoy a little leisure time. Sunako his new teenage teenage janarim came running to him from the other side of her paddock. He rubbed her head and let her let her out to wander with him. It was a daily ritual they both enjoyed she was getting big over hip height on him now, and he was up to date on her groundwork and hearty preparation for when he could ride her later. Today, they set out along the beach he had a fixed a light pack saddle to her back. She liked to bump his arm for extra pets, and often obliged to by doing just that. She had a brightly intelligent personality who was quite sure he had lucked out with her. Her black armor plating was thick and shiny, her teeth strong and white, her gaze clear and full of spirit. He had never been happier. Now even with his brothers both really busy he had a friend, a constant famed friend. She was always there with a large wet tongue to make him feel better. There was just something so special about how animals communicated without words and for once, he didn't have to do all the talking. Plus she didn't talk back to him either. So they had to use body language and what few word commands she had learned. He worked with her every day. Today they went along the beach to visit tide pools that were full of seaside delicacies that you didn't easily come across anywhere else and he had a hankering for a fresh octopus, or maybe surf clams. If no cephalopod was available. She could transport their catch back and he would feed her a few extra treats when he got home after all of her hard work. It was tough to be a dark beast and Matorian sun but he also figured she could dip in the water. Plus, he rather thought that many blood vessels lay just underneath the hard shell of her armor. Making it easier for janarim to cool down in their hot home. And there was no reason that also wouldn't work in Matori. They arrived at the first tide pool and he dropped her leads so that she would not obliged to walk through the tide pool with him. She could if she wanted to, she might end up chasing out something good towards him or she might scare it away. In either case, this was good enrichment for them both. Smart Girls like her shouldn't just wander around a paddock all day when there was so much to see and do. Everyone had an ocean in their backyard and he was always eager to take advantage of the opportunities and delights represented. Though he did not wish to live on it like some others. He liked solid ground and that didn't have like the sea in a storm. Matori got its fair short share of strong storms. He managed to pin an octopus before it is could escape. He put it inside the special saddlebag that clipped tightly shut all around the rim so that an octopus in particular couldn't get out. They were crafty and smarter than you would think. There was no more suitable prey in that tide pool. So they moved to another one that was close by this held three octopi and he would have to be very careful one would be easy enough but the other two would probably sense danger and wriggle down into the bolt holes which made it much more difficult to get them out. Plus the fact that they had happened to possess rather sharp beaks in the end, they were able to capture more octopi then he led snorkel home with their aquatic prizes. It was very fun trying to then get the aquatic critters out of the saddlebags. They would hold on to strings and everything else they could wrap their muscular tentacles around. They were all eventually drawn out of the bags and processed for a fresh somewhat rare treat. The leftovers going to a hungry Sunako along with other butchered scraps as a special meal for her. He made sure to give her as much enrichment as possible to keep her from getting bored. She was developing into a strong level headed beast. It was likely she could be used in breeding songs her adult calling for confirmation was good. The octopus was laid on top of rice balls right rice wrapped with seaweed a classic Matorian staple. It was healthy and delicious with the fermented bean sauce they sourced from a local vendor. He was very pleased with the quality of the octopus he had caught that day was something so pure, healthy and wholesome. He himself had a hearty portion as the hunter he could say one thing about the family there was always plenty of food. It was up to the individuals to provide variety and their own preferred spices. A crew like this just didn't run off of air and sunshine. Alone. The garden was well attended and indeed fought over by all who enjoyed the tasks over beasts aiming and some enjoyed both. The greens made up a decent sized portion of their diets. No one went to bed hungry and that was more than other places could say. He was very glad that he had grown up here. But the urge to travel was growing in its heart. What was over that horizon the next hill the next rise very far short of carrying the travel he a trip to Oba seemed to have just made him all the more eager to explore what was out there.
