Tathy 1

It was a great day to get up to no good. The parents and family were occupied by regular morning chores when the energy gleaned from his breakfast hit and he went to recruit his two brother for a little unsanctioned riding practice on whichever critters would let them get up onto their backs.

They did not always use words, sometimes a look and a hand gesture was enough to get their points across to each other. They who had been born into turmoil propagated it like a much beloved garden of illegality.

Jiu 1


While Saei was up on the roof of the barn Jiu himself was on the ground not too far from said barn. He was sitting on the ground in a little moss patch to give his bottom some cushion right under a tree. His back was up against the hard trunk and he had his legs bent and crossed in front of him.

In his hands he held a few thin leather strips and he was working to braid them together. Huaijiu often did this so that a thicker strand could be used as lead rope for the smaller beasts. It also gave his hands something to do that required no thought. HIs mind was too busy elsewhere most the time anyways.

It wasn't until he caught movement that he blinked his green eyes and turned to see who it was. Upon seeing one of his brothers coming toward the barn he tilted his head slightly. His first thought was that his brother was bored and had decided to come to the barn where the other two were. But then he noticed the way his triplet was walking. That walk had purpose. Jiu was very good at remembering details so he knew just by looking that Tathyryal wanted the three of them to get up to no good. So Jiu paused his hands and lifted a single brow in question, almost asking what kind he had in mind.

Much like Jiu, innsaei often kept quiet until there was something to be said. It could take some doing to switch him from passivity to action, sometimes. Tathy, however, had a knack for it. Not sure what all the talk of blood's about, but it sounds like fun! Maybe it's a good chance to meat that big furry guy? The olive-skinned boy unfolded hkmself, and began the process of climbing down. Just easier to talk when you weren't shouting from the top of a roof.

He only opened his mouth once he'd begun to shimmy down an anchored rope to the ground. "There's that dage Grandpa brought back from. Er. Buh-something? Says it has a temper, but he's been pretty relaxed once he got the bluster out. ...Nah, probably need to outwait him 'fore he'd let us near." Thoughts filtered through a cloud, popping up with recollections of what might fit. Somehow, every idea he had involved fluff just now. The scaly critters just didn’t appeal for riding. "...! Oh! There's a Raptrix he got from Zena! The big white one with the wings! Think he'd fly us?"

Tathy too tilted his head. "Hmm looks like flying it is!." Now just which beast. He was leaning toward the Chiavi, if it had riding gear that would make it easier, but the raptrix was white which would be pretty and it should be big enough for all three of them too at this age.

"Maybe we should scope them both out and see which one is most amenable?"

He always tried to ask their opinions even if they were not the greatest talkers.

Jiu 3


He watched Tathy for a second before he started to speak. With him being the louder brother it was easier to keep tabs on him by sound. So his green eyes slipped over to Saei. He could see that his other brother was processing. Each did so differently.

When it was suggested that they go for the one that was most friendly it seemed that their minds were made up. So he got up from the ground, dusted his bottom off, and waited for Tathyryal to follow after Innsaei before he too started walking. Huaijiu usually brought up the rear but that was so he could see everything. His memory worked best by visual but his hearing was pretty good too.

As he walked he brought his hands up to rest behind his head.

By the time the others arrived, the yellow-eyed brother had made his approach, coming in at an angle and not directly toward the beast's pen. He made sure that when his gaze fell on the creature it was brief, no stare or sustained eye contact to stir up trouble. He made no move towards the white thing, simply sitting down at the edge of the raptrix enclosure and waiting. He wasn't sure how used to people this one was, so better to play it safe.

The saddle didn't look much used. Fresh leather, well oiled, no stray hairs. Either a replacement or a new order. When it didn't rise to Tathy's beckoning, he shot 'Jiu a look. With it came a little shrug, as if to say 'probably not this time'. He lifted a hand, patting his hip, indicting the mindful brother's snack pouch. He always remembered to bring a snack of some sort. "Let's leave a gift. Jerky?"

Tathy 5

Ryal accepted the jerky and nodded at his two brothers. He presented the jerky on behalf of the coalition as a peace offering and a promise, that they would be back.

It was a process, and it would take time. But he was pretty sure that there would be raptrix rides in the future, they would take their time with this one though.

He nodded again at his brothers. Time to go check out the other one!

Jiu 5

Seeing as the beast made no move to accommodate their curiosity he didn't bother to approach the pen. It would be a waste of his time. Of course he could also see the disappointment from his siblings. Jiu felt bad that the animal had not been more willing. Not that he could change that.

As they all left to make their way to the next beast, Huaijiu took a moment to eye the raptrix. He studied it for a second more then carried on to join his brothers. If they were going to use the snack trick again then he didn't think jerky was going to cut it. Sadly he didn't have any nuts or berries on him.
