Info/History
Son of Reillan and Varinia. Brother to Variel and Reina and twin to Gavril. He lives with his parents for the most part in Oba, and is cutting his teeth on the streets there. His family are rather well to do and he relishes adding to their wealth with his own skills. He likes pointy things, his friend Kynin and Kynin's family, sweet things and savoury. He likes to look scary and will train hard to be scary one day. He is currently leaning toward the assassin path, inspired in part by his Father (Sentinnel path) but he thinks that two swords are better than one. He also likes his large hunting knife given to him by his father. Think crocodile dundee. He travels to Matori frequently to visit his sister who now has a house there when she is not in Oba herself. He enjoys fishing hunting and chess like games that requite tactics and strategy.

Personality
Snobbish -he likes who he likes and everyone else is not worthy, based on personalities usually he doesn't care if you are nobility or not so long as he can get along with you.
Prideful - not a great person to insult, think hippogriff
Fiesty - yes well, this doesn't need too much explanation.
Crouching Tiger hidden berserker - has berserker tendancies especially when those he actually loves are at risk. He does not always remember what he does when this happens. -shrug-

Class Choice: Way of the Shadow Monk

In the end, it was the shadows that claimed him, as part of him had already known they would. It was a highly specialized class which suited him well, thus he knew exactly which box to tick at school. His dad was not surprised after he had told him he even seemed proud that made Gajeel feel really good. Later, when his three friends who had also applied with their respective class for teacher, they discussed their chosen paths. Gajeel attended a fancy upper class school due to his parents' positions. It was a pompous place, but it provided a decent education, which was what mattered there. There was an equal amount of drama.

Allogy asked him first, "What did you choose Gajeel? You never would tell us. I chose Bard and song."

Of course, Gajeel smiles as Allogy was definite voice box. It made perfect sense. "Good for you, Allegy, I am sure you will fit right in. I know you all had me pegged for a blacksmith, but metal and large swaths never drew me. Small blades, stealth and shadows are where I belong. So I chose the way of the shadow monk. Not a common choice, no, but I never was common, and it was the only path that really felt right."

Rogan had gone the way of the elementalist in nature, and Elfeme, the only girl of the group, had decided to accept her father's offer to take up the family merchant business. This meant that the four of them that had spent the last four years fighting to be in each other's classes would be spitting off in four very different directions.

"Listen, all I ask is that you three keep in touch okay? The world is fast and in no time at all, it will swallow us up, but these bonds could last."

Mud Solo
It was a lovely day in Matori, a long summer vacation from his stuffy school and lessons in his new craft. At least school is more enjoyable now that he was actually learning stuff that he was interested in. He got higher marks now that it wasn't dreadfully boring too. Anyway, he was always happy to be in Matori as his best friends were here, not his school friends, though they were okay, Kynin most importantly of all, lived here

. Gajeel was supposed to meet up with him for some good fun. They had sent letters back and forth while he was away. It had helped ease the boredom. But nothing was as good as being here in person. He was taken aback when a young Matori anhybrid Oban girl approached him. Why was she over here, blushing away from her friends?

" Can I help you?" His voice was changing, and he was quite furious that it cracked mid sentence, how embarrassing.

"I was just wondering." She said, turning an even darker shade with increased blood flow to her face, "If you wanted to eat lunch together, you see, I like you."

She continued to natter about how they were perfect for each other and more such drivel. She wouldn't stop. So he did the only thing which came to mind, which was to push her away. It was perhaps more forceful than he had meant it to be, because she ended up sailing right into the deepest mud puddle. She came up sputtering, eyes full of indignant rage. He made no change to expression, he just turned and walked away. He was far too busy for this sort of stupid dilly dallying, and she should also realize that by now. Kynin was going to laugh at this when he told him.

He had always thought that he was destined for a dark radaku, let alone what actually happened. His dad had really spoiled him. This time, he had gone to the dealer his dad had recommended to find many, many fine creatures in all colors and variations. He spent an enjoyable hour going through each one. They were all fine beasts, but still, some were better than others. In the end, he negotiated for a black and gray with dapples. The seller said that there was a note attached to Gajeel's file, another beast was to be included in the deal, a pale white and light blue dapple female with darker gray points and a white splash on rough and tail. Needless to say, Gajeel was surprised. It seemed his father had taken initiative on an early birthday gift. He had no idea what was going he was going to name them next. More important to get them home and settled. A day later, he ordered thick black leather collars with adorning spikes to protect their necks.

He never messed around when it came to animals. And there were folks who didn't keep a tight leash on their wilder companions. It wasn't worth the risk.
Besides, they looked cool. He had black oval name tags affixed. He would fill in their names later. For now, he was like a mother hen, loathed to lead them for any length of time. He loved them so very much, and they had taken kindly to his hand, a definite perk. He made training all the easier.

He read many books that dealt with it and it was going smoothly, and helped to fill his idle hours. One of these days, he was probably going to move to Matori. It was where he felt he belonged. The schools here were good, but he was almost done his studies, and he had been thinking then what? The only thing that came to mind was to head for Matori and his family there. Variel wouldn't care, and he would be so much closer to Kynin, his best friend. He was sure his mama would frown on his decision. But alas, it was wasn't her choice. Was it? His dad would get it, though he too would be a bit sad. It was wasn't like he wasn't close anymore. It was not that far away.

Over time, he began known for the became known for those radaku and often he had to disguise them as he learned to disguise himself until people only saw what they wanted to see just as he intended. He practiced well everything he was taught. Thus he excelled pretty fast. His first thirst for knowledge drove him onward. Eventually, he was old enough to travel on his own. He found a different teacher there. He felt at home in Matori Plus Variel was here and with his big sis around, who would mess with him. For the first time, he could make big decisions for himself without needing approval. He took it seriously, and this would be better in the long run, Oba felt somewhat stifling right now for him. Matori, by contrast, was relaxed and wonderful.

He could focus on his studies better and his grades improved. He blamed the lush plant life having chill friends and a lot less pressure and stress. It was a vibe here. He fit in with the beast tamers and did odd chores for room and board. His sister spoiled him with treats. He enjoyed working at the beast ranch. So many beautiful animals, quite a few with old Xarthin's blood. He was proud of that his hair was woven through the blood stock here. He wasn't a beast charmer, but he enjoyed helping with training here and there, and following the progress of certain critters.

He was told he would likely be gifted one eventually, if he waited long enough, some exceptional and some near pet quality and some too valuable to sell that could be used for breeding on the ranch for years to come, he enjoyed the company of Ushiruin Tathyryal and Ultear, but he was Kynin's bestie. That was the one person whose company he sought every day, the one person who had seen his merit through his defenses and took him on anyway. The only other person he was close to like that was Variel and she was his annoying older sister that gave the worst battle noogies ever. Besides, she was a working mom and quite busy at least now he had his precious critters to work with, and he spent quite a bit of his free time in training them, so the beast ranch, with his myriad of training pens, was one of the best places for him. As busy as it was, it was still peaceful, and he felt like he had been waiting for something exciting to happen all this time throughout his youth, and yet nothing had ever happened despite their highly elevated social status in the Oban courts, no thanks to he and Variel, who were, in comparison, small players compared to other family members.

Still, after all this time, no one from Obas political scene had found him or his truly terrifying sister, though he could see why no one would mess with her. He, however, was as good as a sitting duck, or that was how the saying went. Not that he wished violence for himself, just a little more darn action, maybe someone to rough and tumble with or rival. Where was that Rathian monkey needed him. He hadn't seen the hybrid around lately. Maybe he would ask for extra chores to earn some spare coins. There was always work about and even young radaku needed breaks from taming. They were doing him so proud. Soon enough, they would be the finest radaku in the region, and he would have some of the best hunting partners for any terrain Tendaji could throw at him. The full fur coat made them quite versatile. Even he had to admit that he updated their daily training records. A fastidiousness that got him nothing but compliments, for he was hoping all this praise would not go to his head it was certainly more than he had ever gotten at home. Though his studies were going better than ever. And he knew his parents were proud of him.
