Hair❣ Curly and bushy blond hair in the color of hay. It is almost always kept in a ponytail at the back of his neck, with a few strands hanging around his face.
Isiah's hair is more often than not very difficult to manage. It has broken brushes and requires either lots of combing or hairspray to get into the simple ponytail he keeps it in.
Face❣ Freckles across his nose and all along the tops of his cheeks. Narrow face. He has art from elsewhere for refs when he's ready.
Skin Tone❣ Almond, I think is the term. Like a dark tan. His refs are also colored.
Body Type❣ Average. Isiah is neither very muscular or too lean. He has enough muscle mass that parts of him can be defined with it, mostly in his torso and when he flexes his arms.
Clothes❣ This could best be described as punk. Isiah doesn't bother much with color, often seen in black or dark blue jeans with black or white shirts. Usually black. Lots of black. But not just plain black. He loves shirts and sweaters with a lot of details on them. Like full on artwork pictures of zombies, skeletons, angel or vampire women, wolves. Pants are always regular jeans, not too baggy or too form-fitting, nothing special about them aside a little design here and there. The man rarely wears shorts unless he's swimming. Never sandals unless he's at the beach. And he'll avoid anything fancy if he can help it. If he can't, well....Be prepared for an extra, unwanted accessory to pop up somewhere in the outfit.
In one eyebrow and one nostril is a silver stud. Jewelery is also best described as punk. Things like skeleton hand bracelets. Dragon necklaces. The necklaces are never below his collar bone.
Hobbies❣Video Games With his restricted life back home in England, Isiah is used to focusing on a game console to get a thrill out of life. He's not one who enjoys sitting indoors all day and doing nothing. Nor is he a lover of sports. So Isiah gets his excitement from playing gorey and violent games. And perhaps it's also a little bit of his way to vent out his frustrations with whatever might be going on in his life. Like his parents and their strict conduct of him or how they continue to hound him all the way from England. He's done with that part of his life, of getting into so many physical fights because he was so filled with anger. So, instead, he pops on a game and shoots NPCs for fun until he feels better. Than he keeps playing for sheer enjoyment of it.
Isiah's go-to genres are fairly stereotypical of a male his age. He loves shooters and all things horror. He's not interested at all in much else, but can be persuaded to join a survival with friends, depending on what the survival is. Something like Don't Starve Together? Maybe once or twice. 7 Days to Die? Hell yeah, he's all over that!
Sketching After video games, art is his biggest hobby. What turned into just sketching maps and references for his writing has become when he's even gone into college to focus on. He's not quite sure what he wants to do with it. He just knows he wanted to learn more about how to be a better artist.
Isiah's strong point is sketching various monsters and creepy things for his novels. He has also begun to dabble a bit with art programs and painting, but mostly he enjoys pulling out a sketchbook and doing some quick design that's popped into his head.
Baking This is a more recent hobby, one he found he really enjoyed while job hunting after leaving High School. As a fresh almost-adult, he was eager to work anywhere he could get a job, the better to start being more independent and figuring out what he wanted to do with his life. He knew he wanted to go to college to do art, but he also wanted a side-job to pay for things himself. The first business that approached him with enthusiasm for hiring him was a local bakery. At first, he was unsure. While he could cook just fine, baking was another thing entirely. His sweet tooth usually steered towards junk food over pastry and cookies. He preferred to just buy what he wanted as opposed to making it. And decorating with all those cute, pastel colors? He didn't even use colors much when he did art. Regardless, it was a job and he would do his best at it. At least until something better came along.
But it turned out, he really enjoyed baking. Especially decorating the cakes. It was a creative outlet he never realized was so diverse. On his own back home, he'd buy kits and equipment to practice his skill, often making his friends taste test and critic his works.
And so, his tough punk persona slowly dissolved.
Virtues❣Extrovert-People Person Isiah loves people. Like that one kid in every classroom, he loves making people smile and tries his best to fill their days with fun. And he's very good at it! By nature, Isiah is a very goofy and silly individual. Never think you will be able to predict what his next actions will be, cause you're likely to be surprised. He lives off being unpredictable in his antics. He loves seeing other's reactions to what he does. He once went to a fancy masquerade party with a cthulhu mask on his face, the tentacles covering his mouth. He has no problems whatsoever making a fool of himself in the process, it's all in good fun. In fact, that's often the catalyst for all his goofy behavior is just to make himself look a fool. He doesn't enjoy pranks or making other people the butt of his joke. Not unless he knows they'd enjoy it. With male friends, he can easily have joke-flirt bromances with
Besides always being a fun-loving guy, he's equally as compassionate. His courage not to back down from things helps to feed this trait. He wouldn't hesitate much to stand up for someone. And he's usually quick to think on his feet, having plenty of experience with fights when he lived in England.
Carefree Calm. Cool. And collected. Those can sum up Isiah's general attitude towards things. Very little can actually ruffle his feathers. Nothing in life was ever gotten with a negative attitude. This is one of the many mottos Isiah enjoys revolving his life around. He likes to keep an open and positive mind regarding anything that happens. Even if he can't, he's still sure to put on a smile and take things in stride as they come. He might not be the best leader in these situations, but at least he won't panic and cause more of a mess.
It takes a lot to make this boy actually angry. Or even annoyed. You can throw all the insults, you can hit him, kick him, punch him, and he'll still try to crack a smile and a joke. Usually. Like anyone, Isiah has his limits. But they appear to be the most extreme of cases. Such as someone making immoral choices. Prejudicing against someone else. Just being a general d**k to everyone else around them for no real reason. He has a low tolerance for bad behavior in general.
Sincere Though he will never sugar-coat anything for you, Isiah isn't blunt or abrasive. He just despises deceit and lies. Though he might not always be the most reliable, you can at least always count on him to be honest and straightforward. He will never steer you wrong. He will never lie to you. And he will keep all your secrets, even if he ends up struggling with something that is mentally and/or physically harmful to the person, where he knows it'd be better if he told someone else who could help. He doesn't want to let you down, to ruin your trust in him. He's extremely loyal to those around him. But sometimes you do have to bite the bullet and just expose someone.
To himself, he is just as genuine. In the past, he was more nervous about letting his tough guy persona fall, afraid to show any kind of weakness around the types of people he used to hang out with or even in his first few years in Destiny City. Nowadays, he could care less. He would gladly dawn that frilly apron and bake someone the prettiest cake he can manage. He will coo at all the cats in all the cute outfits. And he will make a fool of himself without hesitation. He is comfortable in his skin, more comfortable than he's ever been and he will show that to the world.
Flaws❣Stubborn Some will argue being stubborn is also a sign of determination to get what you want. Not in this boy's case. He takes that and enhances it by ten fold. Like trying to move a mule. Once he has set his mind on something, you cannot get Isiah to change his mind. You can try. You can try until pigs sprout wings. He'll still stand by his decision.
Will he bend if it's something important? Maybe. Depends what it is. And how important it is to the other person and how important what he's doing is to him. Isiah is compassionate, yes. But no one said he was reasonable.
Daredevil This is where Isiah's braveness doesn't come in handy. Not that he eagerly plunges headfirst into any random and dangerous activity he can think of. But he can't back down from a challenge. Be it a fight with the toughest guy in town or eating something one of his friends picked up off the side of the road. He will do it. Because he's dumb like that, but at the same time, he's not a stupid man. He knows when a challenge is too dangerous to attempt and no matter how much you mock him, he won't do it. Because he's also mule stubborn.
But if it's something small, something he has a higher chance of survival in or not suffering too bad of an injury, he just can't back down. He's a thrill-seeker. He loves to test his limits. Examples? If the water looks deep enough, he'd jump off a cliff. He has sprayed himself with pepper-spray, just to see what it's like.
But Be Serious! (until I figure out the specific trait) His constant need to joke around has a price: it often makes him look like he can't take anything seriously. And often he can't. At least on the outside. Isiah isn't cuddly. He's not affectionate. He's really bad at talking about his feelings or dealing with someone doing the same at him. When things get really serious and emotional, he gets nervous. All he really knows is to make jokes when people are upset. He doesn't know how to have talks about....Feelings. Of any sort. Be they platonic or, especially, romantic. He'll show you he cares in his own way, so why do some people need to say certain things out in the open? It just complicates everything! You're his friend. He cares about you. Isn't that all a person needs to know?
