Alexandra Pepper waited for Isiah to get off work calmly, holding a hot drink for the man as she sipped her own drink -- a piping hot spicy mocha - and mentally counted the seconds. Any moment a fine mist of pink and purple bioglitter was going to coat her room and her mother when the woman tried rousing her for some event tonigfht Alex suspected was another effort to hook her daughter up with some rich idiot and Alexandra had no issue delivering her latest complaint by glitterbombing her room. All her precious items were hidden from it already, so it left her free to hang out with Isiah again.
She liked Isiah, he understood and didn't judge her or anything. Actually, she liked his company in general. He was fun and he was usually up for antics, and Alex was more than ready for some post-woirk shenannigans tonight. Even if.. Well he worked today, and thus she expected them to be tame. TALKING was even fine. As soon as the employee door opened, Alex looked over, still sipping her drink, and she made a noise of greeting before lowering it, grinning.
"Heeey."

Today had been a strange day. At least for cake decorating. Why? That was a good question that Isiah had been asking himself all day. Why were there so many weird cake requests? Was some rich kid having a birthday party and everyone was getting the weirdest s**t they could think of to put on a cake just for the lols? Judging by the cakes, not a young child. At least for him, the last thing he'd want on his birthday cake was a scary-a** clown staring back at him. Than another had been in the shape of a Furby. Those things were still around? Or was this some sort of nostalgia trip for an adult party. Whatever it was, he was glad to not have to look at those designs ever again. The Furby would haunt his dreams tonight.
He could see it as he collected his things to leave for the day, staring at him as he approached the door to the front from its shelf awaiting pick-up. He shuddered as he left the back area, hosting his bag onto his shoulder and zipping up his winter jacket.
And instantly was met with a greeting from a certain someone who obviously had been waiting for him. Ah, good. A distraction from the horrible things he'd seen all day. He at once went over to where Alex was, a smile on his face.
"Good evening, ma'am. To what do I owe the pleasure of the visit?"

"My mother, who else." Alex sighed, shaking her head immediately before sipping her drink and motioning. "She's trying to rope me into some hoity toity thing tonight so.. My bedroom door is rigged to set off a glitterbomb when the woman comes in. All good stuff, biogliutter and stuff. Gets me out of the house too!" Alex preened, checking her (muted) call phone and seeing some five angry calls, one voice mail, and an angry text with a photo of the mess. Alex whistled, and showed Isiah prompotly. "And now I play dumb all until I get home and let her stew in her hopes and dreams. That said, this glitter was such tolerable shades of pink and purple. I had to. Had to! The cleaning later is totally worth the mess. And ma can tell people about her 'sparkling' personality tonight." Alex waved a hand dismissively at her phone, pand sighed.
"Man, I have had a DAY. How about you? Anything new and interesting in your life?"

"Ah. Who else indeed." Hearing Alex always talking about her mother, Isiah was very glad indeed to not have given his parents a chance to try and rule his life anymore than they had already tried to. For he was so far out of their reach, all they could do was blow hot air at him that he'd wave away with a careless flick of his hand. It really didn't affect him anymore. If they got so annoyed, they jumped on a plane and came to get him, that'd be different. But they wouldn't do that, not ever. And leave the company without the both of them watching over it? Naw. He was forever safe.
"Sometimes I think that's the only reason you want my company, is a distraction while she deals with whatever new prank you've thrown at her. If only she knew she was still sending you somewhere she always wanted. To an eligible bachelor." He gave a goofy grin, finding it amusing indeed. It was a good thing his father didn't have the family name on the products or he might be in danger of being recognized as the heir to a successful company. Or, for as long as he would be the heir, dodging them and refusing to go back to train to be the next CEO. Eventually, they had to give up and choose someone else. They couldn't dog him forever.
Not that any of it mattered. Being the heir, not being the heir. Eh, who gave a ********. He'd stay an eligible bachelor for his entire lifetime, perhaps. Let the family line of neglect and responsibilities end with him.
"I admire your creativity," Isiah added, waving an arm towards the door. "All I did was smash stuff or be a destructive little s**t." He moved to the door and held it open, mocking a bow a butler might make to their employers, complete with a flourish of his hand. "Ladies first."
