emotion_skullIntroduction
Welcome to Tears of the Sea, our tenth annual summer event! We're so happy to have you with us; whether you're a guild regular or a newcomer, we're going to do everything in our power to keep you feeling safe, welcome, and wanted here.
You've already started your event experience by visiting the Front Desk, or this thread. Be sure to read through our official Event Rules in the next post before doing anything else. Next, please read through the Point System explanation in post 5 to fully understand the way the event will work. Finally, check out the Event Directory in post 6, which will redirect you to everything this event offers.
Afterwards, please visit our Registration Thread, where you'll placed in one of the two Clans. Your Clan will be your home and your family for the next two weeks, where you will build friendships and work to earn as many points as possible.
As you participate in event activities, you'll earn points for yourself and for your Clan. The participants with the greatest numbers of points will win some fantastic gold prizes, and the Clan with the greatest number of cumulative points will be declared the winner of Tears of the Sea! Everyone who contributes a minimum of 10 points to their Clan will receive a prize, but the Clan that accumulates the most points will win the best participation prizes.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for Terms of Service violators, which means that we will ban you from the event and the guild after your first violation.
When registering for Tears of the Sea in theRegistration Thread, do NOT -- under any circumstances -- delete any of your posts.
Anyone caught doing so will be banned from the event and will not be eligible to win any prizes. Yes, we do check, and yes, we have banned people in the past for doing this.
If you accidentally post without using the Random Number Generator (or RNG), we will take note of that; simply post a second time using the RNG correctly.
You are welcome to create your own threads.
Interested in creating a new contest, game, word game, roleplay, hangout, or art booth in this subforum? We invite you to do so! Our only requests are that the thread be open to all event participants and that you refrain from offering points: only the event staff can report points for participants.
Treat all event participants and staff with the utmost respect.
Anyone who uses foul or derogatory language, exhibits poor sportsmanship, complains about the Clan in which they were placed, doesn't follow the instructions of event staff, or causes offense, discomfort, or discord among event participants will be banned from the event and the guild.
This is about having fun with friends old and new. If you're down for that, join us!

emotion_skullPoint System
This event is a competition dedicated to earning points by taking part in its activities. Once you have registered for Tears of the Sea in the Registration Thread, almost everything you do during the event will earn points for your Clan.
At the end of the event, the Clan with the most points will be declared will be the winning one. The most valuable players will win special prizes, and every contributing member of each Clan will also win a prize. The more points your Clan has, the better your participation prizes will be. The best strategy is to compete your hardest and take part in as many event activities as possible.
NSTG Crewmembers and CAP Volunteers must fill out one of the following forms and post it in this thread in order to grant points to the participants of their games, contests, and other activities. The scores for each Clan will be updated regularly in the first post of this thread.
