Sky Pillar is located within Route 131 and was created in veneration of the Legendary Pokémon, Rayquaza. This pillar has multiple floors, and on the back wall, there is a giant cave painting depicting the ancient lore of Rayquaza and how it protected the world several thousand years ago. Only those who are worthy, such as the Draconid people and the descendants of the original Sootopolitans, are permitted to enter the Sky Pillar.

Ajicka arrived at the tower and looked around. The place was dilapidated, but.... it was expansive and likely hosted enough pokemon to keep them busy. Though, she was really only looking for one. Ajicka smirked some. Not too bad, this might actually provide some decent training after all. Edge had taken a good hit, but she had stocked up on potions and was able to do a quick heal. Hopefully her other pokemon would be able to hit about as hard.... she knew Eelektross had Zap Cannon, and Swampert was strong enough to just hit hard due to her level, but she wasn't sure about the others. Hopefully the pokemon weren't too varied here....

Ajicka frowned and continued walking, keeping her eyes out for any signs of the pokemon she was here for. Her pokemon, meanwhile, battled those that showed up, but so far, there weren't any signs of a Sableye. If she didn't find one soon, well.... maybe she'd just go and do some more egg hunting, and see if she could find another place to locate one.... She really didn't want to waste too much time. And if she really needed, she could always try and find some sort of summoning items or something.

Ajicka was surprised to find a Sableye shortly thereafter. She straightened up when it appeared, contemplated just what to do, then, with a shrug, tossed the ball. If she didn't knock it out, she could use it to battle. Shockingly.... it actually did get caught. Huh.... Well that was surprising. She shook her head, grabbed the ball, and turned as a Golbat appeared. She looked down at the ball, then, with a shrug, promptly tossed it up, releasing the pokemon. "You know Power Gem?" she asked, folding her arms over her chest. The pokemon looked back at her, then tilted its head. She nodded to the Golbat. "Use Power Gem." The pokemon seemed to look at her a moment, but then turned, holding its arms out, and then thrusting them forward to shoot a beam of rocks at the opponent. It took the other down fairly easily, and she smirked, walking forward. "You let yourself get caught pretty easily," she remarked, moving to heal the pokemon. 'That's because I wanted to get caught,' the ghost returned, grinning at her. Ajicka paused, staring at it, trying to read her intent, but went ahead with the healing. Sableye weren't known for their kind disposition.... but she wasn't about to show fear or anything. She went ahead and healed the pokemon up, deciding not to comment for now, and glanced over. "I assume that means you're interested in battling," she remarked. 'Indeed...' the Sableye replied coyly. Ajicka gave her a bit of a look. "... Well then good. You can take out any other golbat. We'll be leaving soon, though, so..." She gave a gesture, then turned to see how the rest of her team was doing. She made sure the area was cleared of wild pokemon, for now, before recalling everyone. As Zero left the warm, tropical region, his mind returned to the source of the Jade Orb. He guessed someone had to've slipped it in when he was running around the world, but that begged the question as to who would've done it? It'd be weird enough if someone just picked up a random stone and decided to sneak it into someone else's bag, but if they knew what it was, then why wouldn't they try capturing a Legendary with it? He just couldn't find a reason for it, but at this point, perhaps it was just best to just ignore the motivations and take advantage of the unexpected lucky.
...Although, that then begged the question as to what he was doing out here to begin with. He certainly wasn't complaining about getting his hands on another Legendary pokemon, but... It wasn't like he need it either. He couldn't guarentee it'd make him stronger or anything, and as it stood, his team was already pretty solid as it was. Then again, maybe he just shouldn't question it. It's a Legendary Pokemon, and one well known from his home region. If nothing else, it could potentially lead him to something unexpected.
By the time he arrived at the tower, the skies of Hoenn were clear. The horizon stretched off into the distance, and it didn't quite hit him how tall the tower was until he finally stepped foot on the ancient spire. At the peak, he and his pokemon dismounted, Nova following at his side as he walked towards the center, and Nevermoor traveling in his shadow. When he reached for the Jade Orb, it was clear that something changed when he arrived. It now radiated with a brilliant, emerald glow, fading in and out in a pattern. It was reacting to something, but if it was in fact a Rayquaza, it wasn't close enough for him to see it.

After a moment of nothing happening, Zero took a seat on the worn, stone floor of the tower's peak. The Jade Orb continued to pulse with a soft, emerald glow, but it seemed to do little more than that. If he had to guess, it likely acted as a beacon--Both telling him that the dragon tied to it was nearby, and possibly telling the dragon where he was. But beyond that, he didn't know if there was anything else. Did he have to call for it? Or was he going to have to play a game of hot-and-cold with the stone until he found it?
Well, at least for a little while, he could stand to stop and rest. Ashen decided to lay back and nap, once it became clear that they weren't going anywhere anytime soon. Nova took a seat next to her trainer, enjoying the fact that they finally had a moment to just relax. Nevermoor was a little more vigilant, but even she relaxed and turned to a resting state in the young man's shadow. Nothing seemed to happen for the better part of an hour. By now, night had completely fallen, and the moonlight gently enveloped them all in a soft, almost blue glow.
Zero slowly felt himself starting to nod off when there was finally a change. The Jade Orb suddenly stopped its slow flashing, holding on the emerald light as it grew brighter and more intense. It shone so bright it started to cover the whole tower peak, before the green turned into a brilliant gold. Almost as soon as it changed color though, a crack ran through the orb, and the light disappeared, along with all the color in the perfect sphere. Zero had covered his eyes towards the end, and when he lowered his arm, there was suddenly a great rush of air that nearly threw him clean off his feet.
He knew immediately. He hardly needed a second to raise his gaze on level with the massive, golden serpent, to know that the Rayquaza he'd been waiting for would be staring back at him. He only had a moment to look though, before a startled shriek destroyed his focus. Zero nearly jumped when a massive, pink beam suddenly fired off beside him, shooting into the sky and forcing the legendary dragon to jerk to the side, its movements slow and labored. Nova fired off a Hyper Beam out of fright, and missed completely.
Fortunately, it seemed the snake-like Dragon was caught off-guard as well, the beast lurching forward and nearly falling onto the surface of Sky Pillar. Acting on reflex, Zero snatched up the ball he'd planned on catching the Rayquaza with, and dashed up from his sitting position, running closer to chuck the purple orb at the dragon-type. It only needed to make contact--Bouncing back a ways after hitting its golden scales before dragging it inside--in order to ensure the capture. It was the second time he's ever had to use his Master Balls, and sure enough, they captured the Legendary Pokemon without any resistance.

After the suddenness of it all settled down, Zero looked around the tower to check on his other pokemon. Nova was balled up in a corner, a tinge of red on her cheeks as she recharged from that Hyper Beam she fired off. Ashen had tried to jump to his feet, but only slipped and rolled off to the side, so he was still getting up when his trainer looked over to him. The Darkrai in his shadow hadn't done anything rash, so he didn't really need to worry about her. But, his attention was still drawn to the ground beneath him, as he picked up the fractured Jade Orb, its color drained and any power it formerly had was gone. Well, that was fine, he wasn't planning to test out the idea that he could control a Rayquaza with it anyway.
Speaking of which, he should probably go head and let them out before he gets too much farther. With the Master Ball still in his grip, he tapped the silver button at its center, and released the great dragon in a flash of white. The Rayquaza hovered in the air for a moment, its long body curled into a small spiral, before slowly sinking to the ground. It only opened its eyes when it sunk to the floor, coming to rest on the cold stone beneath it. When its eyes finally opened, they were half-lidded and tired.
Zero only now had a chance to really inspect the legendary, and see just how damaged it was. There were cuts and burns everywhere, as well as minor bruises and black marks where they'd been struck. It was all recent, too, so it was clear that wherever they were before coming here, the Rayquaza was engaged in a tough battle... And was on the losing side. He swallowed while he thought about it, but before he could investigate further, a woman's voice echoed in his mind. "You, Human..." It sounded like an older woman, maybe more matured than what he was used to hearing.
It took a moment for him to realize the dragon's mouth opened and closed with each word, speaking in that strange way that Legends did that imposed the words into your mind, even without any sort of psychic link. "You... Wait, for a moment. Give me time to... Rest my eyes, at least..." Zero seemed a little surprised at first, both at the Rayquaza's damage, and her request. It cleared though as her eyes closed shut, and he watched the wounds disappear from her body. When she asked to Rest, it seemed she was being literal. While he waited for them to awaken, a brief thought crossed his mind, and he took a picture of the sleeping legendary, attaching it to a text to Isis. She had still been gone for quite a while.

Without a word, Zero let the Rayquaza have her moment to heal herself, going into a deep, but brief slumber, allowing the wounds from previous battles to melt away into nothing. The young man took a seat again until she finally awoke, the silver-haired trainer rolling the cracked Jade Orb in his hands lazily. "Thank you, for your patience, Human." Her words were stiff, but courteous. Like someone who hadn't spoken with another in some time, and trying to remember communicate. "Setting your motivations aside for a moment, where did you find that relic in your hands?"
The young man hummed quizzically as the dragon pointed to the colorless orb, raising it up a bit on reflex. "I couldn't tell you. I've been running around the world as of late, and this... Souvenir, I guess, just appeared in my bag along the way. I don't know who would've put it there, let alone why."
The large serpent seemed dissatisfied with that answer, grumbling under her breath. "I know I threw that blasted thing into the depths..." She seemed to forget that her voice still came as if it were right next to his ears, so he heard everything. "Well, no matter. It would seem that time has worn it down into that broken rock. It won't be of any use to anyone now." With that out of the way, the great beast finally rose up from her resting state, once more hovering over the ground. "Still, I should be grateful that it's suddenly fallen into another fool's lap so suddenly. Had I not been commanded to come here, I likely would've fought on until fatigue caught up with me."
"Speaking of which," Zero interjected, rising to his feet. "Why were you so beat up when you arrived? Most Legendary Pokemon can put up one hell of a fight, and you certainly don't seem like a pushover..."
"An insensate swarm," she began. "They pestered me all throughout a nearby region when I wandered by. Only a few caused considerable damage, but the flies that surrounded them made a habit of peppering me while I fought them off. They seemed organized, but... None had anything that might explain their origin, save for a small, strange button some had." The serpent leaned back, glancing off in the general direction she came from with a small smirk. "That lot actually tried to corner me at the end there, but they clearly weren't expecting me to ram straight through their line and rush here." She returned her gaze down to Zero. "...Normally, my kind are only summoned in the event of a crisis, and we solemnly tie ourselves to those who summon us," She leaned in closer to inspect the trainer, examining his visage. "...But that means us 'legends' have very little to do between each apocalypse. You and your little band here seems to be an interesting group, so I will relent to the will of that orb you put me in, for now.
"Oh, I believe we almost forgot introductions. I am Scathach, the serpent you humans refer to as 'Rayquaza.'"

Vince nodded quietly as Olivia justified her refusal, insisting she would take pictures of places they wanted to visit as a reminder for next time. She didn't know, and Vince didn't have the heart to tell her. At least... Not right now. Not when he wanted to enjoy this while it lasted. His golden eyes flicked over to Olivia as he heard the sound of the shutter on her camera, catching her in the act of taking his picture. "....I didn't realize I was an area of interest." He teased lightly, lips quirking up into a faint smile as she innocently turned her lens away, as if scanning the area around them for a different shot. "Hm... Probably some picture prints, t-shirts, books... Some toys for children, specifically girls with pink hair and cameras." He suggested with a smirk.
Sky Pillar was another topic entirely. Vince made a point to warn Olivia of the dangers it possibly presented, especially since Yue was so on edge. However, it paralleled so closely to his personal feelings about how he was endangering Olivia by being involved in her life at all... He couldn't help but vaguely allude to his personal principles, knowing full well that she probably wouldn't understand what he was getting at until it was too late, but hopefully it wouldn't come to that. Despite his inner turmoil, Olivia took his warning and words in stride, bright and radiant as ever as she smiled at him and took his cheek in hand. Vince looked a little surprised by the affectionate gesture, but he didn't resist. Instead his brief stunned reaction melted away into something well and truly vulnerable as his heart ached painfully in his chest. He hadn't even really heard her teasing words, and it wasn't until she suddenly moved to pinch his cheeks that he seemed to snap out of the trance she had put him in.
"I know you're my elder, but must you treat me like a child...?" Vince muttered, blushing a bit and rubbing his cheek. Despite his somewhat annoyed tone, he still chuckled and shook his head, shrugging it off. He supposed he couldn't really complain, since he so often likened Olivia herself to that of a child. However, she also frequently acted like one, in his opinion, whereas Vince couldn't understand how she seemed to think that way of him. Not when all his life every adult he'd encountered had always praised him and his parents of how mature he was for his age. Maybe she saw something in him that they didn't? Regardless, it was nice to have Olivia on his side pushing for Sky Pillar despite Yue's obvious adversity. They exchanged a few silent looked that Olivia seemed to pick up on, quietly approaching Vince as he prepared to ride Wei He with Olivia.
Glancing over to the pinkette as she tugged the cuff of his jacket, Vince noted the secrecy with which she attempted to speak to him and kept low key. "I don't know. Yue's been acting anxious about Sky Pillar ever since I brought it up. If it were just the possibility of encountering strong pokemon, I don't think she'd be this worked up about it. But she won't tell me what it is, so.... Lot of good that does us." There was clear disdain in his tone, but he was.... Processing. He didn't consider that maybe Olivia had caught on to his own odd behavior too, and instead removed his jacket and shoes, folding the clothes away in his bag and rolling up his pants to his knees in an attempt to keep them dry during the voyage. Wei He waited for them in the water, and Vince offered Olivia a hand when she seemed ready to help her onto the kingdra's back. "I appreciate the offer, but I'm not looking to get property here any time soon. It would be a waste of money, given how frequently I travel around." He insisted with a bewildered chuckle, unknowingly granting her wish to get a laugh out of him. With Olivia secured snugly behind him, Vince tried to focus on the ocean and steering Wei He to follow Yue guiding the way as she glided above the waves in front of them.
It was a rather pleasant cruise, considering the summer heat of the sun beating down on them. It felt far more freeing to swim like this instead of relying on a boat. How tempting it felt to imagine he and Olivia running off somewhere together, never to return to the world behind them. For the first time in a while, Vince felt some semblance of peace in the fantasy. Unfortunately, that was all it was; a dream. Sooner or later, he had to wake up.
That wake up call happened as they arrived at Sky Pillar at last. Vince let Wei He guide them to a safe spot for dismounting, where the rock face surrounding the ancient pillar was low enough to climb up onto off of the kingdra's back with Yue's psychic assistance, though the gardevoir looked like she had seen a ghost, her ivory skin somehow taking on an even more pallid color. It was really getting concerning, but before Vince could open his mouth and ask her what was wrong, he looked just past her to see that a lone man was guarding the entrance to the tower. ”Who is that...?” Vince squinted from afar, holding his hand up over his eyes to try and get a better look. "Ah... Well.... As you know, the Sky Pillar is.... An ancient temple to rayquaza, so... It is kept under watch and guard by...." Even telepathically, her voice quivered with anxiety and hesitation as they moved closer. She kept her gaze, wide eyed, to the ground, as if unable to even look in the direction of the tower. "Guarded by wh--"
Vince started to ask the question, but he stopped short the moment they finished walking up the steps to the entrance and got a better look at the figure standing before him. His stomach twisted itself into tight knots, a mixture of pure rage and nausea at the sight of him. "Vince....?" Ezra spoke quietly, more of a statement of realization than a question or confirmation. He sounded so sad and vulnerable with that one single word, and somehow that infuriated Vince even more. "........What are you doing here?" Vince practically spat, holding a hand out behind him to keep Olivia from climbing up more. He made sure to put himself between her and Ezra, not wanting the draconid to see her, and vice versa. However, Yue sheepishly moved between the two men, though keeping to the side. "As.... I was saying... This place is guarded by the d-draconid people...." She finished, trying very hard to keep things light despite the obvious tension in the air. Ezra, who had remained pointedly silent after Vince's accusatory demands in favor of Yue's explanation, looked to the gardevoir with fearful eyes, but there was also a recognition there that Vince couldn't deny. It just made him more sick.
"....Tell me you don't know this man, Yue." Vince demanded, clearly trying very, very hard to give her the benefit of the doubt. However, now it all was starting to make sense, albeit painfully. Yue's knowledge of the draconids, her discomfort and avoidance of Sky Pillar, how it didn't seem proportionate to the danger she claimed this was about... It wasn't the pokemon, or the danger, or time commitment. She was afraid of this, and she was damn right to be. "She doesn't know anything Vince, don't take your feel--" Ezra tried to interject, only for Vince to violently cut him off. "SHUT UP." Vince bellowed, his eyes dilated to tiny slits as he stared so intensely in Ezra's direction that the man felt paralyzed with fear. Vince took a breath in, steadying himself. "You. You don't get to talk. I was asking her." He pointed to Yue, his hand trembling. Yue couldn't meet Vince's gaze, and that coupled with her silence was answer enough. Vince let out a tense sigh, taking the information in and still processing.
A short, bitter laugh escaped him, looking at the ground and clenching his jaw. "Alright then. Good to know." The betrayal Vince felt was clear by the way he shut Yue out, no longer acknowledging her presence as if an invisible wall had suddenly slammed down between them as he moved towards the entrance to the pillar. Suddenly, a wall of thick vines sprang up in front of the entrance, blocking his path. Vince looked around for the source and his eyes landed on a meganium timidly peering at the trainers from the sidelines. Vince snarled and gripped Huang Chen's pokeball, but once again Ezra tried to get through to him. "Vince--""Let us through, Ezra...." Vince stared at the vines. He couldn't look at the draconid. He knew if he did, he wouldn't be able to restrain himself. The only thing that had stopped him from punching the raven haired male thus far was the fact that he didn't want to show his worst side to Olivia. At least... Not more than he already had.
"I know you're angry, and you have every right to be, but please listen to me Vince... Just one minute. That's all I ask.""Give me one reason why I should." Vince snarled. "Because this isn't about us, there are rules about this place. Rules I have to uphold as a Draconid." Ezra winced, but he didn't seem to deny anything Vince said about him either. How he wished any other Draconid had been assigned this post right now. The last thing he expected to see here was Vince. "He's.... Telling the truth.... Please...." Yue sounded weak, the emotional states between the two men were overwhelming her senses and making her feel faint. "Stay out of this. You've done enough already. I should have known better than to trust a psychic. All of you... Lying, manipulative, traitorous snakes." Vince felt like his head was going to explode, his wrathful eyes landing on Ezra once again. "Anything else I should know about? A tracker in my neck, perhaps?" As much as Vince hated this situation, a part of him was now over the initial shock and just wanted to hear him out for sheer morbid curiosity. "...Hate me all you want, but Luna has nothing to do with this. I raised her and her sister, and then I released them to two trainers that I thought would suit them better than I could. I had no idea she was even with you until now." Vince was hearing the words Ezra was saying, but it was difficult to tell if they were getting through. At least Vince seemed to have calmed down enough to quietly let Ezra speak.
"The draconids guard Sky Pillar and no one is allowed entrance without the elder's permission, or unless they can prove themselves worthy of entrance." Ezra continued quietly. "These aren't my rules. They are draconid law, and as much as I would like to allow you entry as an apology for the past, and sign of good faith between us--" Vince made a rude noise, but Ezra continued after a brief pause. "...I can't allow it." He finished. "....Are you done?" Vince asked icily. "....I also want to say that I'm sorry... For... Everything. I don't expect you to forgive me, but I'm not the person I--""Don't." Vince cut him off with a snarl. "I didn't come here so that you could apologize and feel better about yourself." Vince dug into his bag pulling out the jade orb. "This is why I'm here. Is this proof enough that I'm worthy?" The idea that Ezra would be a judge of his character and capabilities made his blood boil, but if that was the only way to get into the stupid pillar then so be it.
Ezra took a deep breath in, preparing himself for the inevitable. "...No." Vince's eye twitched. "....No? What do you mean no?" Ezra continued to try and remain calm. "You'd be surprised how many times Jade orbs have been bestowed and stolen, or dug up and sold to the highest bidder. Simply possessing one does not inherently make you--""Ezra, I swear to Arceus, if you don't shut up and let me inside in FIVE seconds so I don't have to put up with your petty bullshit--" Ezra narrowed his eyes. "Believe me, I'm not being petty. You need permission from--" Vince threw a punch, right at the draconid's jaw. Ezra didn't try to dodge, taking the hit and stumbling back with a grunt. "Vincent, no!!!" Yue cried, rushing over to Ezra and trying to help him steady himself. "It's fine, Luna. I deserved that..." Ezra gently pushed Yue away. The more sympathy she showed towards her former master, the less likely it was that Vince would ever trust her again. He didn't want to ruin Yue's relationship with Vince because of his past with the dragon tamer.
Vince took a few calming breaths, trying to ignore the part of him that wanted to keep using Ezra as a punching bag. The rational part of him reminded him that Olivia was watching. The dark and monstrous part of him whispered temptations, pointing out how good it had felt to sock Ezra in the jaw. How satisfying it would feel to beat him to a bloody pulp. Grimacing, Vince backed away, storming off. He needed to get away from Ezra, away from this damn island. Preferably inside the tower, but since apparently that wasn't an option, he'd have to settle for around the other side of the pillar, where he let out a gut wrenching scream into the empty ocean and sank down, sitting and gripping his head, trying to keep his breathing calm and even.
Not bothering to feign innocence, Olivia only flashed a devilish smile in Vince's direction, though her camera stayed pointed away from him, "Well, it's a shame. You should've realized that a long time ago." She scoffed at the jab he made, resisting the urge to stick her tongue out at him at the same time (thus, proving his point). "I bet they also have long, extensive space encyclopedias, and little dragon astronauts for young, reticent boys. Maybe they even have space swords." Teasing him back with an impish grin, her expression only fell away after placing her hand onto Vince's cheek. Watching his expression change, so quickly and deeply, nearly startled her and encouraged her to allow the touch to linger.
But only for a few milliseconds more. Then she transitioned into pinching his cheek, and the spell was broken. Snickering, she nodded pointedly to Vince's question. "It's good to remind you of your age, every now and then, or else you'll start getting cocky," she rationalized. If she was being honest, she'd never once viewed Vince as a child. He was a man, and she recognized that. But, she also recognized that teasing helped loosen him up (and it was fun). The Vince she'd met all those weeks ago was worlds apart from the one that stood before her now.
"Mm." Maybe worlds apart was a bit of an exaggeration. Both versions of Vince still liked keeping things to himself. Still, Olivia nodded her head and accepted the answer that was given to her, shifting a side-glance in Yue's direction in the process. "Maybe she's just scared?" she hypothesized, but still kept the conversation at surface level. There was very little speculating would do at this point. Returning Cayenne to her pokeball, Olivia prepared for their journey across the sea: stripping her socks and shoes away and neatly tucking them away into her bag, before following Vince's idea of rolling up his pants' legs. "Sky Pillar, here we come!" Voice brimming with excitement, she took Vince's hand gratefully and settled in behind him. Wrapping her arms around his waist, Olivia made certain that her grip was firm but not too tight, then sat up straight.
Their voyage across the sea was a peaceful one, almost too peaceful; a steady breeze to keep the summer sun from cooking them, and at one point Olivia settled for resting her head against Vince's back to alleviate some of the discomforts her current position left her in. Olivia closed her eyes, just for a second, but when she next opened them Wei He was already pulling into the banks. Well... she'd just have to make sure to stay awake on the return trip.
Drowsiness slowing her movements, Olivia was a bit delayed in joining Vince and Yue on the shore. Stretching as she walked, she did her best to catch up with her partner as he marched up the hill. "Is there someone up there?" she asked, squinting past Vince to see two figures in front of the pillar. Behind her Elgyem hovered in place, not yet joining the trio, and instead she focused her attention on the other psychic pokemon. Her hesistance and anxiety was palpable and they'd only spiked with their arrival to the island, but it wasn't the pillar itself that her emotions centered around.
She wasn't one for drama, it was unnecessary and took a heavy time tax, but this was an interesting development.
"........What are you doing here?"
The venom in Vince's voice was a far more immediate deterrent than the arm he put up to block her, and Olivia stopped in confusion and concern. The situation, which she needed to crane her neck to see, was developing quickly and confusingly, at least to her. There was a history between these two men that she wasn't privvy to, bad blood that left her feeling uncomfortable as she could do nothing more than witness it. She kept quiet, lips pressed together, unsure of when to interject but fighting the urge to do so. It wasn't her place, she didn't know anything about them.
This uninhibited rage was alarming, it was a side of Vince that she'd never seen and it'd ignited abruptly, Olivia didn't have a chance to prepare herself for it. "Vince..." When he marched towards the pillar's entrance she lingered behind, mostly because she didn't realize they were moving, but watched quietly as his attempt was halted. She was still trying to wrap her head around the situation, but from the little she did understand she realized that they weren't gaining access to the pillar.
Something that Vince understood too, eventually, and only after punching the pillar's guardian. When he finally tore himself away from the situation, and his scream ripped through the silence, Olivia finally found herself moving, rounding the pillar and stopping in front of Vince when she found him with his head in his hands. "Hey." A neutral greeting seemed the best move, before she slid down onto the ground beside him and wrapped an arm around his shoulder.
"We don't have to stay here."

”Well, good thing we’re not going in zee front door then.” With their luck, any guards that happened to be around on the island itself probably weren’t on particularly close lookout for anyone coming rom above as Eveline directed the Altaria towards the tower’s apex instead. With how many heists and burglary jobs she’d partaken in, watching out for alternative entrances and exits such as roof doors and unguarded windows had become more or less second nature. All the better to not get caught… Alternatively they could’ve possibly chanced squeezing through one of the many holes lining the tower’s stone walls, likely made to act as makeshift windows, but they didn’t look large enough to be able to reasonably fit an Altaria through. Much less an Altaria carrying a human and a couple Pokemon along.】✧✧

A ladder leading down into the tower proper was the only other entrance, and as they reached the interior it became a lot more obvious just how broken and run down this place was than how it appeared on the outside. The multiple floors from what she could see were an absolute minefield of cracked flooring and enormous holes leading to the ones below. This place had clearly seen much better days… What drew the redhead’s eye, however, was the giant, artfully detailed mural appearing to look like a massive cave painting that covered much of the back wall of the pillar. On the surface, the figures of the major three Hoenn legendaries were the most obvious to make out. While she didn’t know a whole lot about them as far as the deeper details of the regional lore, she did know that Groudon and Kyogre were both highly sought after by Team Magma and Aqua to be used as vehicles to further their own respective agendas. Always about rain and rocks and ocean and land with those guys, she was thankful her time overall spent back and forth between them had been short-lived because it got so damn tiring after hearing it the third time.

From what little she had remembered hearing and reading about them, they were an ancient tribe that may have lived in Hoenn well before the first civilizations began springing up. The Draconids were known to be fervent worshippers of Rayquaza, the legendary Pokemon thought to be the only force capable of stopping Kyogre and Groudon when their fighting threatened humanity, as well as living lorekeepers and soothsayers. No one had heard or seen signs of any remaining tribe members that were still alive for the longest time, unless perhaps they had remained in hiding for years upon years and had only recently begun to resurface as the Delphox’s words seemed to be implying.】✧✧
