Personality:
Strong, dignified, and determined. Leon, although somewhat prideful and a bit arrogant at times, is a rather sunny fellow who can be quite playful and warmhearted when in good spirits. His kind generosity and fierce loyalty keeps him many friends, and on good terms with most everyone. Despite his fun-loving demeanor, he is also extremely astute and revels in time-honored traditions, chivalry, and honor. His passion, may it be for ideas, things, or specific people, burns deep and is all-consuming. True to his element, however, he can be short-tempered and his anger, when provoked, is unparalleled.
Leon is rather dedicated to his students, seeking to inspire young lives beyond the mediocre and willing to sacrifice his time and energy for their greater good. There are no stupid questions in his classroom--nor stupid people--just misconceptions to be cleared. Patient, kind, and understanding, Leon believes each student can succeed and strives to help them there. His office is often thought of as a safe haven for conversations, a little fun, a hideout from bullies, and/or an illuminating place to resolve whatever plagues the mind.
History:
Long ago, Leon was a young adult once. His life, although outwardly calm and perhaps even envious, was fraught with mental anguish and doubt--over who he was, what he was, and his purpose on this mortal coil of existence. He was the privileged, star student back in those days, acing tests and breezing through homework in a quarter of the time it took his peers, but he was always quiet and modest about it; his hand only went up to answer when no one else had a guess, and even then it was only to save his teacher the awkward silence.
Several times, Leon contemplated exploring the veil beyond, and each time his teachers showed him that there was some meaning to the dreary drudge of life, wittingly or not. The passion with which they cared and the confidence they bestowed upon him... If nothing else, he couldn't squander their investment--their unyielding belief--in him. Now, Leon strives to pass on their light and give his students what his teachers gave him.
