 I wish upon a dream...There’s a strange, bright star over the Kawani lands. It’s a rare sight, and legend has it that the star can grant a few select Soquili a special wish. Head up to the top of the hill, place a small offering on the alter, and make your wish. Is it a wish for love, a child, a friend or even someone long lost? Think carefully about your wish, however, as you only get to make one! This particular Wishing Star is 6k per Soquili won.
Kara Asumie has offered to pay for all Soquili won from this Wishing Star!

 Please read the rules thoroughly as some things have changed! Post in this thread only for your entries. PM Thamin if you have any questions. 2. Any breed can enter, provided they're not a skinwalker. Absolutely no Skinwalkers are allowed to enter a Wishing Star! 3. When designing foals or adults, colorists are allowed to design anything up to rare breeds without limitation. If they would like to make a super-rare (angeni or ulun'suti), they have to be either half-breeds or mixed breeds. Pure, super-rare offspring will not be allowed. Mutants are also not allowed. These aren't customs or traditional breeding slots, so all prizes are CC and completely up to the colorist. 4. This is a paid raffle. This means that if you've won a paid pony for the month of October (not including customs), you are not eligible to enter. Sorry! If you've won a freebie, you're good to go! 5. When picking a wish, you must be wishing from the perspective of a soquili that you own; however, you can be wishing for a prize you intend to give to a friend for RP. Exception: With the "Miracle Baby"/"Extra Gift" you may post another persons soquili provided that all the appropriate permissions have been posted. 6. When referring to another person's soquili for the Miracle Baby have them post in this special Permissions Thread if you have not lifemated the couple. If they are lifemated, please just post the lifemates listing. 7. If your wish is granted, it is your choice to keep your prize, co-own it, or give it away to a friend. This does not count for more traditional breeding raffle slots! 8. All children granted will be considered and labeled 1st Gen Mockbreeding Children of the couple. These are gifts from the spirits, not biological children. 9. You may edit your post until closing. If you change what catagory you are wishing for, however, please Void your previous post (by striking it out, not deleting it) and Post the appropriate form indicating your change along with your new entry so that it doesnt get missed! 10. If you are making a "long lost family member" wish - the soquili making the wish must be 1st generation. Otherwise, it implies a breeding of one of the parents or other relatives that is likely owned by someone else and might interfere with their histories/backstories of their soquili. 11. You may only enter or be entered for one Wish. 12. Pairs for the "Miricle Baby" and "Extra Gift" slots my only be entered Once. ----- --- Unlike past Wishing Stars, where it was only the winner of a couple which posted the coupple would get a basket, we're going to treat these similar to traditional breedings. In this case, if you have permission from another owner to try for either a Miracle Baby or an Extra Wish, and the other owner would like a basket from that pairing, then one of you would post the pair with the appropriate header, and if you win, you will get two baskets - one for each owner. ----- --- In the event that you would like to enter a couple, but the other owner wants to enter a different wish and isn't interested in getting a basket, you simply need to post the appropriate header saying Owner 2 is declining a basket for that breeding, and if you win, you will only get one basket per traditional Wishing Stars. ----- --- In the event that you would like to enter a self-pairing, or someone else's pair, you simply need to post the appropriate header, and you will only get one basket should you win. ----- --- If a soquili has co-owners, then it is up to the owner and co-owners to decide who is eligible for the basket before entering. If there are two or three people who co-own a pony, only one of them can enter for a particular pair. You guys have to work it out between yourselves on who is eligible for what particular pairing before you post! With permission from all owners you can post another person's couple, but please only if you intend to keep the basket.  Miracle Baby This wish can be wished by either potential parent of a couple that can not normally have children via normal breeding slots. IE: gay/lesbian couples, species that cannot interbreed (Such as regular/usdia, regular/mer, seathi/usdia), or a couple whom one or both of the parents have already used their 4 breedings IF this couple has not already actually bred before with each other. If your wish is granted, the couple might find a special basket near their home one day. This ”spawn” will follow all the rules of a customed family member, will not count against either parents breeding slots, and will be labeled as a gen 1 as it will not be a -genetic- foal of the couple, but a special gift from the Star. Therefore, it is possible that the breed may even be different than both of the parents, but it is ultimately the discretion of the colorists. A fist sized rock, slightly reddish, that looks vaguely like a skull. Short IC Response: Zahavah set the rock in front of the wishing star alter. Earlier that morning, Pavlov had stumbled across a pile of rocks, with this one on top, and had freaked out. He’d cried about a skeleton army. Rather than reassuring him that it was just a bunch of rocks, Zahavah had charged the pile and dispersed them within minutes. She had never really been the coddling type, and her method had calmed him down and dispelled his hallucination. Plus it was more fun, so it was all good. She had kept the skull stone, though, because she had like the look of it. Besides, the last time she had done this, she had offered up a string of teeth she had taken as prizes from her previous brawls. It didn’t matter to her that the rocks had just been rocks. She had beat down Pavlov’s hallucination and protected him, and this skull, as she preferred to think of it, was her reward.
“It’s me again,” she told the star with a cheeky grin. “I don’t know if you heard me when I thanked you before. I think Pav said thanks too, but… eh, might as well again, right? So, thanks for our girls. They’re perfect! We raised them together, me and Pav. But they’re grown now and off terrorizing the world on their own. Addy seems like she’s got herself her own little Pav. It’s adorable. Akis has taken to the sea. I think she’s considering the life of a pirate. I couldn’t be prouder of them! We both love them, Pav and me… But… Okay, so I know this is gonna sound greedy when you’ve already given us two such beautiful girls. And I don’t want you to think I don’t love them. I do. We both do. But they’re grown now. They’re off adventuring and maybe even looking to start their own families. Grandkids would be awesome, sure, but… well… Pav’s been stressing out like you wouldn’t believe. He’s jumpier than ever. I think he’s worrying about them. Empty nest syndrome or something. And… I’ll admit, I miss them too. I’m happy they’re off living their lives, but… I do miss having little ones under hoof. My brother who is so far away now, but he is no longer a waif. Thus please return him to this land and fill my life with joy. While his gaze didn't drop from the star, his eyes seemed to glaze over as his mind got lost in the abyss of his thoughts, and no Zaitus to snap him out of it. One star..so much brighter then the rest, rumored to be so magical..so wondrous. Many in the lands had heard of the star but Kaliri had never before had cause to seek it out. Until now.
She had left Derecho asleep down below, made this climb by herself, not even taking wing to make the effort easier - all things worth having were bought with effort her mother had always told her and Kaliri thought that this request should be held in such respect. It took her a few moments to gather her thoughts before speaking. It seemed like a good plea to her, spoken from the heart as all such prayers ought to be. She had stood upon the mountain for a goodly length of time now and giving one last glance to the star she turned to make her way downhill, back to the stallion sleeping below. A rose from her tail attached with a thorn, to symbolize the beauty and the evil within the family. Short IC Response: Arianna sighed and bowed her head, she never thought she'd end up here alone and with no sight of her family. She always had a rough start but this? This was a bit much. Her feelings and emotions were catching up with her and she needed that one person to remind her to be tough again. It wouldn't be her sister, she never expected to hear from her again. Teague had known it was there for a while, and had heard of its powers; they came whispering through the herd on trading days. Some had even met the products of the Wishing Star - his friend, Odhrán, was one such, having met a bright blue kelpi who matched her parents so very little and yet was intrinsically a part of them. Ronnie had said that she'd told him that her mother had found a hill to wish up on, and that was what made him hesitant to make his own wish. He was of the ocean and had no hill to wish up on. Even so, his desire for his wish far outweighed his desire not to feel silly, and so, he let Keeva sleep one night when the star shined in the sky. She'd flown to the top of a nearby stony cliff, thinking a better view would have improved her chances of the star seeing her. Silly, she thought to herself with a soft smile. She stalled time by talking to the star as if it were a friend in and of itself, letting the star know all about her and about what she'd want in a friend. "Of course I don't pretend to know what kind of friend I want or... need, really. I wouldn't care what they were like so long as they had a good heart and could make me smile." She smiled at the thought of someone making her smile. "I'm not hard to please... but I guess I've bored you enough." She turned and stared at the stars; her eyes searching. The stars had been falling for sometime; like a shower. She picked and concentrated on one of them with all her might. "Please accept this as part of my wish." She yelled, hoping that the star would hear her more clearly, too. "It's... well its a drawing. I thought if I painted something, with berries, and mud, and stuff, that made me happy, it would make you happy...and... well. Please accept it." She whispered, looking up at the stars. "Please?"
She didn't know if something epic was supposed to happen, or a lightening storm supposed to role over, or what. But... she waited a few more heartbeats and realized nothing had changed... I guess the star didn't grant my wish... she shrugged, having not realized how high her hopes had been. Turning from the star, she left her painting. She didn't want it anymore. Glancing back, she saw a strong gust had overtaken the cliff, and the painting was lifted in to the air but she looked away before she could see where it went. It was cold and she wanted to be home.

She knew she should have no regrets about following her master to the new world, and yet..."Wishing star, I have heard of your great powers, and I wish...I wish I could see my brother again." Hah! As if that were possible when he was probably somewhere in the old world serving his own master. Still, it couldn't hurt to try...carefully, Arama picked open her saddlebag and placed a small compass on the altar. "If it is possible to guide him here, may this help you both. Thank you, wishing star!" At that, she stepped carefully back down the hill, shaking her head and smiling to herself. Hey, at least the memories of her family in the old world would keep her company!

A part of his chain Short IC Response: Gabriel looked up at the sky with his head cocked to the side. He couldn't believe he was following his cousin's idea and asking a stupid star to see his sister again. It had been a long time since they last spoke. She left without a word and most of the time he wondered if she was even still alive. She was like him, a battle-worn warrior, but she gave it all up to pursue her dream of finding true love and being a nurturing mother. He didn't know if she even achieved that goal or dream at all. "Look...I'm not good with asking for things nor do I believe in this crap, but...I miss my sister..much more then my crazy brother." He took in a deep breath and looked down feeling a small thump in his chest. The idea of actually speaking with her again made him feel a little happy. It had been a long time since he felt that.
"I want to see her again. I want to be able to talk about our childhood memories.." He said softly as he lifted his head up looking at the stars one final time. "Let me see her again. Make my dream come true." He said lightly and turned away from the spot. He let his offering and could only hope his prayer was answered.

What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask for a basket?The Wishing Star was not a custom Zuleikha was familiar with but she was still willing to let her companion give it a try. So Allegro headed up the hill with the hippogryph mare in tow; she was primarily here to observe however, he would be the one who was speaking. He set the offering down carefully so the bundle would remain neatly tied together - molted feathers from her and a bit of his mane - it was a sign of intention. There was hope in his heart for a foal crafted of both of them, regardless of whether it was a gift from the star or not. Zuleikha was in no rush to fall pregnant, it would happen when it would happen and while the pink stallion was happy to keep trying, this was another avenue for such things. It wasn't something he openly admitted but Allegro hoped to have a big family one day, something he never had while growing up.
"I'm not sure who, or what, might be listening tonight, but it is my-""Our." Zuleikha corrected him gently as she trotted up beside him."Our hope that the star might bless us with something special...a start to our family."The mare nuzzled her companion and they waited a moment or two before heading back down the hill.

They took pieces of the baskets from Rualie and Elanordir and weaved a heart. Half of it is the green of Elanordir and the other half is the yellow of Rualie. Short IC Response: Tempy always felt a little strange. Not that she didn't love Laer with all of her heart, but sometimes she wondered what her kids thought of her. Their sizes had brought the two parents together, but both of their 'kids' were larger than her. Luckily Rualie and Elanordir ended up with the flutter gene so they could shrink, but something still seemed like it was... Missing? Both Tempy and Laer gazed up at the wishing star as their children lay sleeping nearby. "Laer... I feel more than blessed with what we've had, but it is greedy to ask for more?" The small mare seemed to always have a sense of guilt with the little things. "I don't think so," Laer said slowly. He had to think to himself. "I think everyone always wants a little bit more. I don't think we're in a rush for more, but I don't think it's a bad want." He paused and snugged Tempy on her neck. "Plus.
