The fairgrounds are quiet, practically deserted as the circus tent has all been dismantled. It seems vacant, eerie, spookier than usual, every nook and cranny littered with garbage the equivalent of ten trash demon lairs or just one student dorm.
It is a quiet night, and it is a peaceful night. As the pale moon leered (quite literally, teeth and all) in the distance, two solitary figures made their way into the center of the fairgrounds, their forms casting long shadows. Well, one casting a longer shadow than the other.
The shorter shadow one turned to stare at the longer shadow one.
"What?" Said the taller one. "It's not my fault that you're sh-"
"-Vertically challenged," the vertically challenged one corrected, "Besides, I didn't hire you to make fun of me, the school hired you for a very specific reason, to set the thing."
A long pause. "You're going to have to be more specific here."
"The student council thing."
"Oh. Wait what happened to the last student council member-"
-"We don't talk about that."

WELCOME TO THE ANNUAL STUDENT COUNCIL SIGNUPSStarting from now until Sept 12th, the booths will be re purposed for student council booth campaigns. Anyone with a student can run for student council (see rules below). On the 13th to the 18th we will do three days of voting, where anyone with an enrolled student who has participated IN the booth campaigns can submit a vote. On the 19th we will announce the new student council committee who will be running the big Amityville school events for the year!
In summary:
gaia_star Run a booth or join a booth!
gaia_star Vote for this year's student council
gaia_star Collect rp points! RUNNING FOR STUDENT COUNCILALL ENROLLED STUDENTS are eligible for student council. Students can apply for any position available on the clipboard, but you can only apply and run for one. If you have two characters and both run for different positions, you may only win ONE position on Student Council. If you are interested in having a student run for student council you will need to create an election booth to run your campaign (see information below).
gaia_crown Once again, the positions are:
President You are the figurehead of the student council and are the person who makes announcements and talks on the ickycom regarding student council decisions. You cannot however make a decision on your own without the approval of at least two of your council members.
Vice president If the president is busy, you are the person to go to to manage the remaining issues. You help the president as well on making the big decisions or planning ideas.
Secretary You manage and organize events and do all the paperwork. You are more of a planner, not a thinker.
Public Relations: The student who creates all the ads, the banners, the colourful posters and anything they can think of in regards to an event. You help organise and manage actual events student council has thought of.
Treasurer You (ICLY) organise all the money and funds student council has as well as how much costs you are alloted to what event, granted to you from the school. You can also fundraise from students to help with council events.
- ALL COUNCIL MEMBERS CAN HELP PLOT OR PLAN EVENTS, propose them and make them into reality!
gaia_crown Creating a Student Council Campaign Booth
- Creating a booth: If you are interested in running for student council, all you need to do, like making the booths is to create a booth highlighting your character running for student council (in whatever position). An example may be for instance, a booth where your character Steve runs for student council president.
- Create a booth called [ YOUR STUDENT NAME HERE FOR POSITION HERE ] OPEN/CLOSED.
- In the first post make it all IC rp, and you can add a booth graphic if you'd like. Explain a little bit in OOC about your character as well.
- Everyone who runs a booth will get +5 rp points. No need to seriously try, sometimes it is just fun to give it a shot!
gaia_crown Maintaining a Student Council Campaign Booth
You may offer IC prizes such as buttons, swag, t-shirts, and even offer ic and ooc minis as prizes. Your character should ICly be rping in that booth as if this is their booth they are using to attract students to vote for them. They can have games in it, you can set it up as you wish, or maybe their entire booth is just one long speech. They should probably promise things in their booth to persuade people to their cause.
- Be as fun and creative as you like with it! Definitely interact with anyone who visits your booth! You can also visit other people's booths but just don't sabotage them ok.
- You will need to maintain the booth from NOW until Sept 12th
gaia_crown Voting Period
After a week of campaigns, the voting period will begin. If you are running a campaign you obviously cannot vote for yourself. Anyone who visits your booth can vote for you! Good luck! Voting period will run from the 13-18th.
gaia_crown Student Council Perks:
- It is like a glorified student club. Student council members have their own exclusive club which they can choose to create club rps for or not. There they can discuss events they want to run. THESE WILL BECOME STICKIED into orp events, such as an idea for 'spirit week' will be treated like how the 'monster ball' is being treated currently. Whatever open rp events they want to come up with is up to them!
- They can also propose smaller scale 'meta' events that might affect all rpers. This again is up to them how they want to deal with it, all proposals can be brought up with admin staff and approved before getting started. This could be anything from something like a "school mystery hunt" to a "student council auction week" (where you sell the a student for pumpkin seeds to 'buy for a day', sounds familiar??)
- Student council will also be able to hand out an exclusive 'student council' minipet themselves (each council member has this ability).
- Each student council member also gets their own shiny status badge. Ooooh! )) VISITING THE BOOTHS (ALL RPERS INVITED)A school wide announcement has gone up for student council booths in the running! Visit as many booths as you can as a student ICly. You can interact by picking up any swag at the booth, trying for prizes, asking questions to the people running the booth, so on so forth.
- If you manage to post in 5 booths with at least one rped (decent rped, around 250 words) post, you will get 3 rp points for your endeavor. If you post in 10 you will get 5 rp points!
-In addition this is a GREAT way for your student to learn more about the school and other players so please do participate! Don't forget to QUOTE people you are talking to!
- As long as you PARTICIPATE in that person's booth you can vote for them at the end of the duration of the booths, so make sure to participate in as MANY as possible!
- You can visit booths other than your own with your character as well (that is trying for student council), that character just obviously cannot vote for themselves.
- Once again voting period will be from Sept 13th to 18th

Guest rpers are also invited to rp in the booths if they wish for rp fun, but they cannot vote!

HEY GUYS! STUDENT COUNCIL VOTING IS UP!It is time for VOTING to go in! Please sent votes to Zoomutt this year for student council votes! Before you vote, let's go over some voting rules!
1) Votes must be IC. It means you can only vote if your character was at that booth interacting.
2) You can only vote with one character per person per position. If you are running for student council and you have a character not running, you can vote with the character not running, for obvious reasons! This is to prevent for instance, a person with 8 characters suddenly skewing the votes for themselves!
3) If your character fulfills those conditions please use the form below! Just for voting, your character gets +2 rp points! Remember to submit your votes to ZOOMUTT. You will have until the 18th to vote! You do not need to vote for EVERYONE but fill in all the ones that your character is eligible for! You can vote for one position with one character, and another position with another character, but each character can only vote once per position per player. EXAMPLE: I own two characters, Bob and Steve. Steve can vote for President, and Bob can vote for Secretary, but Steve and Bob cannot both vote twice for President. Bob can also just vote for secretary and president on their own in one pm, which nullifies Steve being able to vote. Basically: ONE PM PER PLAYER. ONE VOTE PER POSITION PER PLAYER.
