Something is off. All Orderites are hearing rumors that Aevah is anxious. She's distracted, worried, nervous, and that's not a good thing. What's happening? Nobody seems to know... But anyone who turns in orbs around this time or visits her will notice that she's quite abrupt and has worry lines on her face.
Oblivionite's and Dovaa are noticing that their leaders aren't acting any different except for some curiosity about what's going on. So not even the other Leaders know what's making Aevah worry... Except that all those in Master or Khehorian Stage have noticed a change in the magical power on Eowyn. Even if they are far away, they can sense something off... something in the magic is... different. A feeling of danger and power comes from that change, and they aren't sure it's a good thing...
Those who live on or visit Eowyn notice that the closed off area that the Orderites have on the south eastern part of Eowyn is strangely silent. There's no faint noise nor faint smoke rising from it anymore. But those who have tried to approach it haven't returned so the guards must still be in place... right?
The Summer Meta starts June 1st! During this meta, there will be several sections where different things are occurring. Some sections will require that no new hunts or Rp's be started, others will not. We will tell you which section requires what! Do not fear~
The Summer Event, where we will have more FS characters to be won, starts July 1st! (ish)
Oh... and NO YOU CANNOT APPROACH THE MARLAN AREA! DO NOT TRY PLEASE.
Notes
Just an additional notice, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PARTICIPATE! While we want everyone to play with us, we know that it is summer and that people have lives outside of Gaia. You can jump in and out of the Meta all you like! Just make sure you have your character 'leave' and don't bog down the RP's happening that they are engaged in. Or let your rp partners know that you will be slow or un-available before you go poof! What happens in this event will CHANGE Magesc! So you will have to deal with the consequences even if you do not participate! Yes Civilians can play! The event has been worked so that no path gets left behind!

Ambush!
All over Eowyn, people are finding themselves ambushed by strange constructions!
One more picture to come to come!
What are they? Why are they attacking? And how did they come to be?
Please take the prompt given to you and respond to it within 2 weeks! If you do not finish it within 2 weeks, then it never happened! It goes poof and vanishes. If you finish beforehand, quote us in this thread and let the mule know. If you have any questions, please quote the mule in this thread!
You have been picked because the last RP or hunt you did that is in your journal was on Eowyn (or staff have an RP with you and they know where your character is actually located. If you are on Eowyn but not listed below, quote the mule in here and let us know! You must be on Eowyn as of TODAY, June 1! Do not worry, this is only the beginning and no it will not be limited to Eowyn alone!
Clarification: This is a hunt so 300 word minimum is needed! You must complete this alone(bonded's don't count so they can be with your Magescian) because of the time constraints (sorry guys, but PRPs take a bit too long!) and it will count as a Hunt or RP Req!

Open Season Mara Hunting!
All across Eowyn people have been attacked and many have died. Lone hunters, children out exploring, Khehora's hunting for food, all without a group were attacked. Survivors of the attacks on Eowyn have sent word back to their leaders. What many thought to be a new creature or something ancient that's emerging into the light turns out to be much more! A few days later...
Aevah has come forward and announced some shocking news: In the desert of Eowyn, she had created the Marlan Project: a secret research effort to create weapons to aid her people in the war effort. Unfortunately, she has just received grave news: somehow the weapons they had forged gained sentience and have attacked their creators. She does not know how it happened, but all who were in the Project area have died and countless attacks across Eowyn have occurred.
"They are forged from rock and metal and were meant to be mere weapons to help us win this war with less death... not a new life that had a very bloodthirsty mentality! I am sorrowed that my idea and efforts have turned to this, and I ask your forgiveness. Now I must ask that all children who are hunting dragons to avoid Eowyn for a while, or go accompanied by adults. It is far too dangerous and is turning into a war zone. Please be extra careful! I do not know what else may occur, but since it has come to this, we need to prepare for the worst. I am announcing a bounty on the heads of the Mara's, as these new creations are calling themselves. I too will be out and cleaning up the mess that my actions have created."
Draco to has sent out a message once the news reached him: "Our people have died on Eowyn. The weapons forged by Aevah in secret have struck the first blow of war during this time of supposed peace... but luck is with us! They have turned against the one who created them, and this means that they are no longer a weapon in our enemy's hand! But while they have turned against the Orderites, they have not turned to us, so they are enemies and must be dealt with accordingly. I here by proclaim a bounty upon each head brought back to my castle! Be wary my people; if Aevah is willing to do this, who knows what other dangerous secrets she has hidden... "
Marcus, in an angry speech to his people, has told them of the deaths on Eowyn. "Many of our people on Eowyn have been killed. The Orderites were performing some foolish research to forge weapons and it has resulted in disaster! Be careful when you venture out of the Plane, my children. These.. Mara's as they call themselves see all of us as foes. And be careful of the Orderites and Oblivionites as well. If one was planning such secret weapons, who knows what else they've gotten hidden away to use in war..."
Rhaze and Anodyne have also sent out word to the Khehora clans, warning them of this new menace on Eowyn. Their messages have very angry overtones to it, they are not appreciating the additional danger for they are killed by Mara's just as much as the Dragons and Magescians are.
Additional information you can find out in the news sheets and from official notices put out by Aevah as she has released news to her people going a bit more in depth on what happened:
They were forging several different types of Maras out of rocks and metals. The newest model and perhaps most perfect of these gained sentience and it began to learn from them. There was a lone survivor who escaped the massacre within the Maralan project; a young woman who helped out in the labs. She doesn't know how it became intelligent, but she knows that the large Mara was a new model made from a mixture of rare metals and marble stone... Some of the metals came from falling stars she claims. Shaped into a suit of armor and gilded with gold, it was the worker's finest creation. They had no idea it was intelligent and had learned to create more Maras... and found a way to make them alive like itself. Her theory was that it was sharing its magic.. but she's not quite sure about that. She says that the Mara's fought in absolute silence but still seemed able to somehow 'hear' orders. And they could talk. That was what convinced the survivor that they were alive and had intelligence. Animated rocks do not speak! The Mara, as they called themselves, talked among themselves sometimes. The leader called itself Rey de Tierra... its voice sounded deep and gravely. A similar voice was the only sound any of the Mara's made as they slaughtered the compound's workers; they spoke in short sentences and were very direct in their words. She warns that this Rey de Tierra is intelligent and learns from its mistakes. Her fellows had managed to kill quite a few before dying themselves. So she expects that the leader has created newer and more dangerous models than what she saw....
Rules:
Infants, Orakoi, and Orakoir may not participate by themselves, they must accompany an Adult Khehora or Adept or above Magescian. They do not gain EXP nor may they roll! They do get the Item drops though. (like a Civilian in a normal hunt in fact!) Bonded's do not count as a separate character for this event. They are not allowed to hunt by themselves, nor may they get tokens from the leaders. Consider them as being one person with their Guardian Magescian for this event. But, because you have help, add +5 to your rolls for fighting the Mara! This is +5 max. You get it only once no matter how many bondeds you have. You may hunt with others. For simplicity sake, we'll give a token to each participant (minus the Bondeds) for each kill. So if there are 3 Mara's, and two people face them. Both participants get the 3 tokens for bringing back the heads. You must finish all the fights by the end of the Meta(July 31) to receive the token. If it is not completed, that battle is dropped, you receive no EXP, Item Drops or RP reqs. Treat this as a normal hunt, you only need to write out 300 words per Mara you face. Civilians must also follow this rule! If you have over 500 words to count it as an RP Req if you so desire! So to clarify: 300 words minimum PER Mara for everyone regardless of path. If you have 500 words, you can count it as an RP Req instead of a Hunt Req (battlers). Please place your Mara Hunts in the Hunt Forum and NOT the Event forum! We will be keeping track of who's won what in the character journals themselves in your inventory. At the end of the event the tokens go poof! (Though feel free to keep them IC-ly and brag about how many you actually killed... Or something.)
For purposes of placing a Civilian Khehora: Orakovan who have 1-7 RPs= Apprentice. 7-14 Rps = Adept. 15-24 = Expert, 25 and more= Master. Khehorians are automatically considered Master.

Rewards
Character Rewards: For each 'head,' aka win against a Mara, you will receive a small token. (Bondeds, Infants, Orakoi, Orakoir DO NOT receive a token. The Leaders assume that they tagged along and learned but that the adult with them was the one who actually did the work.). These are special hunts! They are open to (almost) all! You do not need a LUK score to go against them. The Leaders will give you a token for each "head" you bring them. You do not need to rp this out, though feel free to if you wish! Please post in the Statistics Thread and claim any tokens you get for Mara wins! The Leaders will give tokens to any person of their race; hybrids receive tokens from a leader that they identify with. If you have a character who is Oblivionite and wishes to turn the head into Aevah or something along those lines... You must have a proxy(NPC or what not) go and deliver it for you! Things are a little tense right now so a full blooded Orderite isn't going to be able to reach Draco and an Oblivionite isn't going to be able to reach Aevah!
We will count up the tokens won per character. Do not trade the tokens! For those with multiple characters, we will only take into consideration one of your characters to make it more fair. The top 3 will get a reward of a unique piece of armor or special non imprinted weapon made specially for their character! They will have extra benefits and cool look! May also get art of this weapon armor if we have time!
Titles:
If you kill over 10 Mara's, you gain the title Mara Hunter. Other hunters have noticed your diligence in hunting down these menaces. You find that many of them(even from other races) know your name and treat you with respect. You also get a synergy +5 bonus to catching animals in the Taming Adventure! Hunting down a Mara means you learn more about hutnign creatures that leave no or little traces! If you kill over 20 Mara's, you gain the title Mara Slayer. Civilians have also begun to hear about you. Your skills at defeating these rock and metal constructs have started to earn you fame. You may find some are willing to give you discounts on stuff.... If you kill over 40 Mara's, you gain the title Mara Destroyer. You've become quite well known for your enthusiastic hunting of the Mara's! You'll notice that people are recognizing you and that every now and then, you hear a story or song featuring you in it. Whether they say good things or bad things about you depends on how you actually went about killing the Mara's.... some may just consider you very bloodthirsty and dangerous....
Feel free to add something like this to your title: "Bloodthirsty Slayer of Mara's." Though only if you actually did go out and do something that would earn you the bloodthirsty addition. Like tear them limb from limb.....

Clarifying somethings:
Token counts will occur July31! Which is at the very end of the Meta! The Mara Hunting Season prompt is setting the stage for the Official World Changing Event that will happen July 1st! So you have a month and a half to go collecting!
The limits on Infants, Orakoi and Orakoir are because these guys are far to young and weak to actually damage any Mara! They can go and learn how to hunt them, but will not be able to damage them until they grow up some more! Which is why they do not roll dice nor get the Tokens but can get item drops.

Clarifying for Mara Hunts:
Please put your Hunts in the HUNT FORUM like normal dragon/critter hunts,
For this Meta: You gain NO LUK or LUK EXP for fighting a Mara! They are not like other creatures for the event.
King Mara: YOU CANNOT MEET OR FIGHT HIM! You know only what he looks like through the reports of the surviving Marlan Scientist.
Trying to get to the Maraln Project location will mean you get ambushed and beaten back. If you wish to do this let us know! But forewarning: the sheer numbers of Mara's about the area makes it seem like a City of them... you sure you want to go and venture there?
Mara Descriptions: King Mara :: Calls itself Ray de la Tierra (King of Earth). Highly intelligent and can use magic and create more Mara's. He looks like a very large floating statue made of white marble with shiny gold gilded armor. On its stone head lies a a golden crown. Like the other Mara's, it has no legs, just a gall of swirling golden magic below the body of rock and metal.
by Dia
Mage Mara :: Calls themselves Magia de le Tierra (magic of earth) . Very intelligent and wield earth/metal magic. These resemble slimmer figures of stone are a more refined version of a Rock Mara. with a mixture of metal and cloth 'clothing' instead of armor. They too have no legs and a ball of red magic swirls where the legs should be. [art coming soon]
Metal Mara :: Call themselves Caballero de le Tierra (Knights of earth). These can talk and are intelligent, but can't use magic though they are slightly resistant to lightning, fire, and light since that's what the Mara's have faced off against. They look like floating armor with no legs. Inside the armor is a ball of glowing blue magic where a body should be.
by robo
Rock Mara : Call themselves Roca de le Tirra.(Rock of Earth) Drones. They have limited intelligence and speak in guttural short sentences. They resemble floating rocks vaguely shaped like a person with primitive stone armor. A green ball of magic swirls about where the legs should be.

Questions Answered:
EXP: divide the EXP each Battler recieves by the total number of Battler's present! Do no include Civi's in that count since they don't receive EXP. EX
Minevra get's 10 exp for a win. Eku gets 20. Eku and Minevra are in a group. They win vs the 1 mara. Eku gets 20/2 (group) =10 exp. Mini gets 10/2(group)=5 exp.
Loot: Each person receives the total loot dropped. Do not split it up! This is like the normal hunts in that aspect. I see no reason you all have to split up 15 rock/metals.. Easier if you all just get the total.
PRP Hunts: Each person participating must beat the number that their rank would have against that Mara. As this is not really LUK based, DO not combine LUK's for a Group LUK! Each to their own numbers! Only 1 person i the group needs to win for the group to win!
EX:
Eku and Mini are facing 1 rock mara: Eku (to count a win) needs to roll a 31-100. Mini needs to roll a 71-100. If neither rolls within that range then it';s a group loss. If only one rolls a win, then it's a group win and count it as a win for both. If Mini rolls a 50 and Eku rolls a 30. That's a loss for both! It doesn't matter that Mini's rolled number would count as a win for Eku: she needed a 71+. If Eku rolled a 40, then he wins and that's a win for both,.
Remember: Orakoi, Orakoir, and Infants do not get to roll nor get any exp or tokens! They do get item drops though (cause... I dunno.. maybe that's why they're along? They're better at scavenging and stuff?)...

The New Mara
Quote:
Ray de la Tierra, or the Mara King as Magescian's call him, has seen the magic and soul like substances he's imbued his children with come fleeing back to him at a rate that distresses him. Are his Mara just not strong enough? He orders his Crafters to continue their work while he turns his attention to creating stronger children, more deadly ones.
Deep in the earth beneath him he finds a vein of diamonds, created during a time when the Volcano nearby was far more active and the earth was still being created. What better material to create his newest children than the strongest stone? From here he created his Blades, his Hoja de la Tierra.
His exploration beneath the earth also turned up something new... a crystal he'd never seen before. A secret crystal; one that hummed with shadowy power and promise. Using these, he changed his Mages and improved upon them. Instead of iron, he used obsidian and copper as the base and imbued them with the dark magic of the Arcanite stones. His Dark Mages turned out to have special voices, so he called them his voice, the Voz de la Tierra.
And then, to halt the distressing death toll, he sent out crafters with the hunting parties. Crafters to heal and fix his broken children.
Description:
Dark Mage Mara :: Called the Voz de la Tierra (voice of the earth). Intelligent and more powerful than the mage mara's, they wield a mixture of shadow, earth and metal magic. They speak in a deep whispering voice, one that resonates in your bones. Don't listen to what they say! For they can capture your mind and hypnotize you. They are carved from Arcanites, obsidian, and copper. They wear no armor nor cloth, but instead their very body is carved with symbols and signs to enhance their magic. They too have no legs and a ball of copper magic swirls where the legs should be. Geo info:Arcanite was first identified in 1845.The Latin name for Arcanite is Double Secret because this mineral is only found in hidden places.
Crafter Mara :: Called Mano del Rey Tierra (hand of the earth king). Very intelligent and wield earth and metal magic. They are slim rock mara's wrapped in cloth and decked in rough metal and stone jewelry. They wield the tools of smiths and sculptures, though the size of said tools mean they can easily kill an maim a Magesscian. They are the forgers and helpers of the Mara King, and they can heal and fix any damage upon a Mara. They too have no legs and a ball of pale purple magic swirls where the legs should be. Art by torybird
Diamond Mara :: Calls themselves Hoja de la Tierra (blade of the earth). Carved from the huge deposits of diamonds found deep beneath the Mara Stronghold, the Diamond Mara appear to be slim figures that are translucent and beautifully polished diamond figures. When light hits them, the diamond body gathers it within and shines like a beacon, blinding those around them. They are carved so that all the edges are sharp, and they wield no weapon for their very bodies are weapons. They can channel and use Light and Earth magic. They too have no legs and a ball of pale gold magic swirls where the legs should be.

The War Begins....
Disaster has happened: the Mara have discovered boats and are using them to raid the other continents! And not only that.. but apparently the Mara King has been busy building Crafters and expanding his forces... just how many of them are hidden within the Maralan Sanctuary? Well... enough to besiege every Continent!
The Mara's have raided and managed to destroy many of the Ports on Eowyn, taking away almost all the boats! The King Mara, after seeing so many people flee from the dry land using these odd contraptions, has come to the conclusion that there is more to this world than this one land, and he wants it all! He created a spell to send the boats back across the ocean to it's home port, for the earth can call to other earth, and he can sense the strange and different tastes of land upon these boats. His spell leads the raids right to their targets!
Many Dovaa ferries take the Mara's to the large platform used to dock and unload at the portal entrance to the Celestial Plane; the Mara's have laid siege to the Portal! All people who were in the pane before this are trapped! They get to rp defending their city, Civilians and all! All Dovaa not on the plane are locked outside, they must fight the Mara's on the waters! Or do they flee someplace and hide or are fighting elsewhere?
Many Oblivionite and Orderite ferries lead the Mara's to large towns and cities on Serenia and Soudul. The Mara leave the small towns alone, and go for larger gathering of people! Any large Khehora clans find themselves under attack by roaming Mara scouting parties. Farmlands are somewhat safe. The Mara do not understand food and do not know that the farmlands are very precious. They do attack and destroy the farm houses when they come across them.
The last of the ferries, lesser in number than all the rest, lead to Ayr and Aisko, where the lands are threatened, but not struggling under an army. And finally: Eowyn itself is under attack as well. The main ports have been decimated and Turyere is under siege. Closest to the Stronghold, the Mara always have time to attack and try to destroy all life forms near their home. ORP Threads:
You may, if you wish, travel between lands: there are not many ferries left, mostly smugglers who's ships weren't taken by the Mara. If you travel on a Ferry, you must go here and see what occurs:
Aevah is angry. These are creations of hers, and yet they dare to attack her people! They will be eliminated and she will figure out just how and why they became this way.... She takes the field against them.. think of this as practice for the greater war to come! She does not blame Draco for this though, she knows that this is her fault in part... much as she would like to lay the blame on him.... Draco tells his people a slightly twisted truth; these are the Orderite's creation, this is their fault, and they have just started the war! He too takes to the field, testing his people's strength and magic to see how much they've grown during these times of peace. Marcus is too busy defending his people's city to throw accusations around.. though once this is over who knows what'll happen. The Khehora leaders are leading raids of their own against these metal abominations, though they know who is to blame: Aevah. Aevah and all Magescian mages who keep seeking new magics, new weapons....
Quote:
Civilians need to consider: What do you do in a war? How are you and your family/business affected? Do you join the army to do what you can? Is your village attacked? Town/City under siege? Do you set traps to catch the Mara's? How does the knowledge that Aevah had a secret weapon facility make you feel?
Battlers need to consider: Do you join in the fight, do you flee to the wilderness to escape it? How does this mini war effect you? How does the knowledge that Aevah had a secret weapon facility make you feel?
Important Notes:
The Mule will be posting within the ORP threads as specific events and important information is found out through out this event. The Announcement thread will also have anything important posted inside of it.
No new PRP's may be started, nor may you start any hunts except for Mara encounters within the ORP.
Every now and then the Mule will quote a few people and with a prompt. Usually it will be an ambush, or something pertaining to what you are roleplaying at the time.
You may now try to approach the Marlan Stronghold! Beware though, it is heavily guarded and the King Himself is there.... Not to mention all the Mara squads and companies and armies are comiong from it, and there are always more Mara being sent out...
If you do try to approach, please contact the Mule and we'll give you a prompt to respond to!
If you want to try something that uses the Leaders, please realize that they are in War Mode right now. You may meet them and get orders (we can help you there), or report sightings of Mara's to them etc. Giving them Orbs during this time is difficult, as they are busy trying to fight a war.
We would love to actually give all Masters and Experts a rank in an army and have you actually giving orders and being a part of the fights! Said Rank would be permanent and your character would maintain it after the Meta was over. (this would go into your Journal Post as a Title). Talk to the Staff through PM or in the Main thread to see if your character would be given an army rank. Those within the Guardian Guild will be given a rank with in the Guild if they have been there long enough or are strong enough, PM us about details!
Posted: Tue Jul 01, 2014 1:12 pm
For Army Ranks: (just so you all know)
• Soldier: the lowest of the low
• Specialist- also called Private First Class: You have shown you have a unique skill that they need. -Skills like an expert in something (you must have some RP where you've used this skill before!) Advanced rank in a Profession, Hunter title from the Taming, or you are of Adept rank.
• Corporal: Under the command of a Sergeant or Lieutenant and are considered their aide of sorts. They are learning how to lead and run a group of troops. In charge of 5 troops.
• Sergeant: In charge of maintaining the troops skills as well as training new ones and leading them into battle. In charge of a platoon of 15 troops, every 5 of which has a Corporal
• Captain: commands the troops and stuff. Leads 3 sergeants and their platoons.
• Lieutenant: Second in command of an army, they are either out leading a mission, keeping watch over the home base while the Captain is out, and making a lot of day to day decisions in the army.
Every army has 2 Lieutenants. Lt’s (as they are called) command 2 captains each
• General: leads the army
ALL RACES HAVE AN ARMY! This includes the Khehora! (cause why not?)
Master Battlers: You are eligible to receive Sarg or lower ranks to start off with. Experts Battlers: You are eligible for Corporal or lower to start off with. Adept Battlers: You can be the specialist.
All may advance during the meta if I see you do courageous and awesome things!
Civi's: talk with me and we'll see where you plot. Same with Khehoras!

The Retreat
As suddenly as they came, the Mara's leave once more. The Mara King has felt his people's numbers drop too much! They are dying too fast making him realize he needs stronger Mara's than the quickly produced Rock and Metal Mara's. Luckily his Diamond and Dark Mage's are lasting longer, making him think that quality is perhaps better than quantity.
The siege on the Portal has been broken; the hard work of the Dovaa outside the Portal in sinking the ships meant all that was left were those inside the Plane.. easily dealt with once those outside pinned them against the barricades of those inside. The area around the Portal is heavily damaged, almost nothing remains except magically created spires, walls, and plants that sprawl about messily about piles of destroyed armor and rock shards; the remnants of the Mara.
Draco's army has met and fought for a week with the Maras before finally crushing the army, leaving only pockets of Mara's on Soudul. The forest is littered with mounds of destroyed shells of the Mara and piles of rock. These are quickly picked up by orders of Draco to aid in the rebuilding of the towns and ports destroyed in the attack as well as to create more and better weapons and armor for his people. All in all, he is pleased with how his generals acted as well as how his people fought. Despite not being able to use their magic to it's full devastating effect.. his warriors fought well. It is however, a blow to the Mages; their power was not was needed in this war meaning there is a shift in who the populace views as 'stronger.'
Aevah and her winged warriors have managed to outmaneuver and destroy all the large groups Mara on Serenia. The crafty people are now using the remains of the Mara to rebuild their walls and destroyed villages as well. The lakes, thankfully, have been kept clean. The actions of the Khehora and Dragons make the Orderites feel that perhaps they can rely upon them to defend those lakes if ever they are attacked. Maybe they shouldn't hunt the Dragons away from there to much! Not unless they start raiding ferries and farms again.....
Hunters report on Ayr and Aisko (where the Mara have tried to raid but gotten no where) that all the Mara there have also left, leaving in greatly lessened numbers as the hunters on those two lands ambushed and whittled down the numbers. The ferries get sunk by angry Peisio's as they flee back to Serenia.
On Eowyn, the cities are freed, though the desert remains dangerous as the Mara still patrol the dunes about their strongholds. With the cities free, the mages now concentrate upon the barrier that surrounds it, examining it and trying to unravel it. For now they must study from a distance, but they feel that soon they shall know how to bring it down... or break it at least long enough to let some in.
The Mara have been beaten back for now. The leaders gather their people, heal up and access the damage done. They do not talk to each other and the fragile peace is breaking even more.
Aevah doesn't want to hear Marcus treat her like a little girl who's mess this is, nor will she tolerate Draco's mocking. Yes this is her fault.. but why shouldn't she try to find a way to save her people from unnecessary death int eh war she knows is coming one day? Marcus is angry and demands that Aevah take responsibility for all the damage her plan has brought to his people... but she ignores him. Hostility between the leaders is growing.... Draco is too busy preparing for war.. after all... he's got this nice army all set up right now... plus... there's the Mara's themselves. What other secrets do they hide inside that stronghold? How did they end up so resistant to shadow magic? And does Aevah know how to apply this to her warriors? If so.. he needs to find a way around it... He, of course, supports Marcos's claims.. but she ignores him just as much.
About the Stronghold: All scouts report that the area about the Marlan Project's location is heavily guarded and fortified. Those who try to reach the location of the Mara strong hold are faced with a different type of Mara. These look more dangerous, forged from a darker stone and metal with the tangy scent of blood magic about them. Many die, and those who survived notice that the bodies of the fallen are being dragged towards the Stronghold... And now there appears to be spells lobbed at those flying.. spells of shadow, blood and light.... These spells were not present before, just what has Ray de la Tierra been creating in there? The spells come from not the larger, darker Mara's... but slim shard like Mara's reminiscent of the Diamond Mara's.
The Barrier's magic is also changing; no longer a pure earth and light spell it now has the stench of blood in it...
Ray de la Tierra, the king himself, has been spotted by scrying spells performing a strange sort of ritual along the docks and edges of the barrier.. the effects are not quite known but the mages suspect it is a trap spell of some sort.
This Meta is over for now! You may now go back to rp and hunting as normal. For those who were displaced during this war, how do you and your family pick up the pieces? Is there anything left of your house, farm, town? Did any of your friends or family die?
The Mara have been added to the Creature thread in a post at the end; they may be encountered on any locale... as some have escaped the armies and hunters, but to encounter more than 3 at any one time, you must be on Eowyn. (Creature post will have more details!)
We end here to pick up later in December for a Mini Meta! The Finale in December of the Mara Meta will have sign ups, and the Armies will march upon the Mara stronghold. (gotta have time for the people to rebuild and prepare to march) Sign up swill occur in November and more information will be given out then. We are trying the sign up thing out since this isn't really a world effecting like the Mara invasion was...
