Relationships/Friendships:

Rex Kobra

Throughout their careers, Rex and Hiro have had to deal with one another in some way, shape, or form. Hiro defeated Rex and two others to win his first ever non-NBWA Championship, the XDW World Championship. Since then, they have been involved in many stables together, and have even become tag team champions together in EWA. Some say that they don't talk as often as they once did, but should one ever need the other, they would be there.

The Snypa Rifle:

A friend of Hiro's during his time in DHW, The Snypa Rifle was Hiro's only tag team partner that he managed to capture tag team gold with. The two remain friends to this day, even with Snypa out of the business.

Cartwright:

A former friend of Hiro's, Cartwright is a former stablemate and long time rival of the Cuban-Jap, as well as his former manager during his time in WWE:E. Cartwright has on many occasions called Hiro a dear friend until 2016 when Hiro cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase in WWF:G on Cartwright to become the WWF:G Legacy Champion. During his first and only defense, Hiro was defeated by Freakshow thank in due part to Cartwright, who attacked Hiro with a stinging steel chair shot to the spine.

Dallas Cruz:

A former friend of Hiro's, Dallas was at one point his manager and a close friend during the start of his mainstream professional wrestling career. Her brother Marshall Lee and Hiro had a series of matches during the lifespan of BBW, feuding over the BBW Championship. Hiro, like many men, at one point had been attracted to Dallas, but those feelings have diminished over time. Dallas aligned herself with Jamie Bader, and in 2023, attacked Hiro and helped her client defeat the Ethnic Enigma in their only one on one encounter.

Jamie Bader:

A longtime rival of Hiro's, and also a former tag team partner, Jamie Bader was known as the catalyst to the start of the problems between Freakshow and Hiro. He attacked Hiro during a ladder match and then announced he was working for Freakshow. In 2023, for the first time ever, Jamie Bader and Hiro had a one on one wrestling encounter that resulted in what may have been the greatest match of Hiro Shin-Mozas career. Jamie and Dallas Cruz would disappear once more after the win, but the past is never truly gone.

Chrono Clepsydra:

Contrary to popular belief, Chrono and Hiro have only shared the ring two or three times during Hiro's six years in main stream wrestling. It had been well documented over time that Hiro had a dislike for Chrono, but never acted upon his anger outside of words. It is unseen if these two will ever have a true interaction.

Dion Necurat:

Dion Necurat and Hiro Shin-Mozas are long time rivals, having had a feud in WWF:G over a shot at the WWF:G World Championship back in 2012-13. The two men seem to have respect for each other, and met in the infamous main event of Wrestlemania 2013 for the WWF:G World Championship in a triple threat match with Talon. They came into the main stream business together at the same time, among the famous 2010 class of rookies, and have met many times in their careers.

Matt Shanahan:

Matt Shanahan and Hiro have only ever wrestled once, in a Fatal Four Way Triple Cage Match with Omega and Major Devastation for the Evolution Championship. The real 'friendship', if you can call it that, came during Hiro's time in BBW, where Matt Shanahan was the owner and authority figure. Matt gave Hiro a chance to break the self-imposed glass ceiling and become BBW Champion, and constantly served as a beacon of enthusiasm for Hiro throughout his career that things would get better as long as the Cuban-Jap worked for it.

Nuke Fusion:

Hiro Shin-Mozas is heard as saying that in wrestling he has had no better friend than Nuke Fusion. Nuke and Hiro have had quite a few matches over the past few years, meeting in many companies with high stakes. Hiro and Nuke have worked together mostly in WWF:G, but there have been points where Hiro has worked for Nuke in WWE:E, and even worked with him in the Lethal Wrestling League. Nuke has been there outside of the ring for Hiro on many occasions, and is one of the people who helped train him early on in his mainstream wrestling career.

Kelly King 2.0:

Hiro has referred to his time working with Kelly King 2.0 as his greatest work in wrestling, ever. When Kelly King 2.0 returned to WWE:E in 2013, Hiro was the first person to interact with him, thinking that King was the same bad guy he always was. However, Hiro was denied the satisfaction of being treated rudely by King, and didn't respond well to it. What spawned from that interaction was one of the best feuds of the past three years, King and Hiro met in a hard hitting ladder match for Kelly King 2.0's prized mask, which was won by King. They went on to team together once after their ladder match, where King turned on Hiro, and left a mark within the Cuban-Jap that to this day he as not gotten over. At Wrestlemania 2014, Hiro defeated King in a Falls Count Anywhere match, but even after that, Hiro is said to still not be satisfied, looking to once again cross paths with 2.0 and knock his teeth out.

Bad Boy and Good Question:

Bad Boy and Good Question were huge adversaries to Hiro during his final year in professional wrestling. On several occasions, the duo attempted to, one way or another, take Hiro's Money in the Bank briefcase from him before he could use it. They however failed as Hiro went on to cash in the briefcase on Cartwright. In January of 2016, while Hiro was defending the WWF:G Legacy Championship against Freakshow, Bad Boy and Good Question revealed that they were a part of the dastardly alliance, Fiscal Responsibility. They helped Freakshow defeated Hiro to become the WWF:G Legacy Champion, and at the Royal Rumble, Bad Boy won the match entering in at the number one spot. The main event of Wrestlemania was slated to be Bad Boy vs. Freakshow, but of course, Hiro went on to enter the match, and the rest is history.

Blackjack:

Blackjack was a wrestler that has since disappeared that took advantage of Hiro in BBW, coaching him on how to let his hate take over which assisted Hiro in his BBW Championship victory against Salem Croft on Monday Massacre. After acting like Hiro's friend and mentor for a few months, Blackjack shocked the world by stabbing Hiro with a switchblade and taking the BBW Championship from him, changing Hiro's life forever. When Blackjack escaped from prison in 2023, it served as scary reminder of mortality for Hiro.

Salem Croft:

The only wrestler Hiro can say he helped train, Salem Croft was a young rookie looking for an opportunity in late 2012, and was given one by Hiro when he defeated the wrestler in a lumberjack match in WWE:E. From there, the rest is history. In 2014, Hiro and Salem Croft stepped into the ring in BBW at Monday Massacre for the BBW Championship. Hiro turned a long friendship into a big mistake for Salem Croft by stabbing him in the back (literally) and defeated him for the championship with the help of Ryan Killman. The two never met in a match again after that, but there are some people that say they made up. Neither has ever confirmed that.

Mardy Wilkes-Booth:

Mardy Wilkes-Booth made her return to wrestling and EWA in 2015, and the first two people she had to interact with were Freakshow and Hiro. Why she decided to stay is beyond comprehension, but she did, and for her troubles she got a feud with Hiro that resulted in her pro-pot lifestyle being challenged as long as he ability to take having to deal with misogyny in the workplace.

Cyrus "The Dream" Leone:

Cyrus Leone is a long time friend of Hiro's, the two having had a few matches but mostly sharing a love for pizza and humor. Cyrus has expressed on multiple occasions that he'd love to dress Hiro in a pizza costume and have him be his mascot. Hiro has never confirmed this.

"The Don" Kato Morales:

"The Don" Kato Morales is the GM and owner of now defunct wrestling promotion New Breed Wrestling Association. Hiro's professional wrestling debut in America came in 2008 in NBWA, where he defeated "The Don" Kato Morales to become the first ever NBWA Anytime Champion. For a long time, "The Don" targeted Hiro and tried to stop the career of the man we now know as the Cuban Jap. Without "The Don", it's more than likely that we never would have gotten Hiro Shin-Mozas!

Guy "Fox" Cancer:

Guy Cancer was perhaps Hiro's first ever true rival after he debuted in mainstream wrestling 2010. They had two separate matches for the EWA Nexus Championship, both won by Fox. Fox and Hiro went on to have feuds in LWL and CWA afterward, each time their paths crossing resulting in a hard hitting match.

Boxer Anarchy:

Both Boxer and Hiro were at odds with each other throughout most of Boxer's career, but also aligned against common enemies on several occasions. They were members of Chaos Unleashed together, and even had a few wins in tag team action. In the last match the two had against each other in WWE:E in 2014, Hiro defeated Boxer, and they haven't met in the ring since.

Harli Drummond:

Harli Drummond and Hiro have far more history than people usually think about. They had a main event feud in CWA, an attack on Harli by Hiro left the Australian out of action in WWE:E for a long period of time, and every time they have met in the ring, they act like bitter enemies. Both men were awarded the Best in the Business award for "Most Improved" in 2015, and they were said to have bother shown true respect for one another when privately accepting the awards.

The Damone Family:

"The Dragon" and Hiro are good friends, having wrestled in WWF:G on multiple occasions including a barn burner of a match in 2013 which was won by Damone. Hiro has made many appearances in Dragon's Honor Wrestling, a Damone family product, and has maintained a good relationship with the Damones as a whole. That was until 2023, when Hiro returned from his retirement and soon found himself involved in a spat between the Damone and Fusion families. Drako Damone, the World Heavyweight Champion in WWF:G at the time, would accept a challenge from Hiro after an attack on Nuke Fusion. Drako would win the encounter after interference from his family, those proving he truly was the Undisputed WWF:G World Heavyweight Champion.

Disciple:

One of Hiro's oldest feuds that he remembers fondly, Hiro used to do battle with the Dreadnaught in WWE:E. Although he sports a less-than-stellar record against the big man, the Cuban Jap has stated many times that his matches with Disciple displayed his ability to work against a big man better than any other matches he had wrestled prior.

Freakshow:

The greatest rival of Hiro's entire career, from the start of it in 2003 to today, Freakshow trained Hiro in the way of lucha libre, and also gave him his first taste of the hate that the wresting industry will inject into a man. As El Hijo Del Crusher, Freakshow trained Hiro in 2004 in Tijuana, Mexico, and after a botch in a match, went out of his way to break Hiro's arm. Hiro took an extended hiatus from wrestling after that, four years to be exact. He went back to Japan in 2008 for a few months before debuting in America for the previously mentioned New Breed Wrestling Association. On several occasions during his mainstream wrestling career, Freakshow would appear in the sights of Hiro, showing him only hostility and hate regardless of their alignments. Whether it be with racial slurs or with attacks at his wrestling ability, Freakshow would always have something negative to say about Hiro. When the Cuban-Jap would win a world championship, there was Freakshow. When he would be involved in a huge match or feud that was making him relevant, Freakshow would be there. In 2014, Hiro attempted to retire from active competition in WWF:G, but Freakshow wouldn't allow it. It came out in 2016 that Freakshow wasn't just appearing for no reason: there was a motive behind this. On January 26th, 2016, despite being retired for years and only make sporadic wrestling appearances, Freakshow defeated Hiro in fourteen seconds to win the WWF:G Legacy Championship after interference from several other people. Hiro realized during this match that El Hijo Del Crusher and Freakshow were indeed the same person, being reminded of it when Freakshow again attempted to break the arm of Hiro using the same move he had over ten years prior. It was revealed to the world and to Hiro that the reason Freakshow was always there to either sabotage Hiro or steal his spotlight was because he was spiteful that Hiro continued his wrestling career after what was done to him. Freakshow was merely looking to finish what he set out to do in 2004: Remove Hiro from wrestling, permanently. Hiro was said there is no one in wrestling he hates more than Freakshow, and their matches and interactions have surely proven that. At Wrestlemania in 2016, Hiro finally defeated Freakshow for the first time in his career to regain the WWF:G Legacy Championship, presumably ending the long feud between the two men.
