Begin Your Roleplay Adventures Here! So you want to roleplay your pet? That's great! In order to roleplay your pet, you must fill out the form below. At first, it may seem like a chore, but it is for the best! The reason that we've adopted this requirement is so that we can regulate pets more thoroughly and prevent any mishaps from the start, rather than correct someone later when they've already made a foundation for their character with that "error." ♥ Before filling out this form please read over the Roleplay Rules♥ If you're stuck, you might find help at the Journal setup guide, you can also ask in the main thread for staff help. ♥ Familiars do not need approval. Just be aware that, unless stated otherwise, they are completely normal animals. Please be aware that journals are monitored. if you post something there that you did not post at time of journal approval you may be asked to take it down. If you need to add something and aren't sure about it ask in thread.

GENERALName: First and last names at minimum. Gender: Birthday: Month and day only. House: Blood Status: Half-blood, Muggleborn, or pureblood? Wand: Wand Hand: What is the student's dominant hand?PERSONALITYGeneral: A summary of your character's personality. Habits: Hobbies: Likes: Dislikes:FAMILYPlease include blood status and House where applicable for each family member.
Mother: Father: Siblings: Extended Family: Relationship with Family:HISTORYGeneral History: In paragraph form, no lists. Remember that Hogwarts does not generally send acceptance letters to students who live closer to another wizarding school! (Remember that there is Beauxbatons in France, Durmstrang somewhere in northern Europe, Salem in the US, an unnamed but mentioned school in Brazil, presumably schools across the Asian and African continents, and possibly others!) Please try to make sure your students are living somewhere in the UK or REASONABLY nearby at the time of their invitation. Approximate School Service AreasMISCELLANEOUSBoggart: What would your character see if they found a Boggart? What is their greatest fear and why?
Mirror of Erised: If your character looked into the Mirror of Erised, what would they see? What do they wish for the most and why?EXTRA CREDITEverything in this section is completely optional, but if you feel like going above and beyond the above required sections, this is for you! You can pick and choose which ones to fill out or not. Feel free to cut this section out of your form or just leave it blank if you opt not to fill it out.
The Sorting: Please describe your character's experience with the Sorting Hat. Why were they Sorted into the House they were put into?
Patronus: If your character could cast a Patronus, what animal form would it take? Keep in mind this is different than a witch or wizard's possible Animagus form. One's Animagus form takes on an animal that best fits their personality, while a Patronus is something that your character feels protected by. If you answer this question you can change your mind in the future. The ability to cast a Patronus is very highly advanced magic and unlikely that a student would learn to cast it successfully while still attending Hogwarts.
Greatest Treasure: What is your character's most prized possession and why? How did they get it? Be creative -- it does not have to be a physical object. After all, sometimes wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure!
Manner of Dress: Does your character always dress neatly? Are they sloppy or messy? Describe your student's manner of dress here. Note that this is not where you describe what your student looks like.

Approved by Ottolla Nico. Sorry for the long wait, Snails bby. -snugs-Character I.D. Name: Nolan William BecketGender: Male Age: 11 Birthday: July, 14 House: Hufflepuff Wand: Phoenix core, Alder Wood, 11inches, Slightly Springy Personality: Strengths: Friendly, Outgoing, Social Weaknesses: Low self esteem, Not very bright, Not good at sports Habits: drumming against things, whistling out of key Hobbies: Playing drums, eating (that counts right?), Likes: Making new friends, Making others laugh, cheering people up Dislikes: Jerk wads, His cousins, charms, Three words to describe your character: soft, emotional, kind Family: Mother: Margaret Becket, Half-blood Father: Alan Becket, Pure-blood Siblings: None Other?: Cousins, Dorian and Gale Becket. They are twins younger than he is. Describe Family Life Growing Up: Both his parents were in Slytherin and they raised their son to be a proper Slytherin boy. Except he hated the thought of being like them. They hated blood that wasn't pure blood, despite the fact his mother is a half-blood. She refuses to confess that she isn't pure blood. Nolan was often criticized for his attitude toward Slytherin. He confessed that he had no intention of becoming a Slytherin and thought he would rather be in any other house but that. His twin cousins would tease him mercilessly saying he would end up being a squib or in Hufflepuff which they claimed to be just as bad. Nolan loved the idea of being in Hufflepuff and went out of his way to show off how much of a Hufflepuff he was. History: Only child of the Beckets, Nolan Becket was spoiled for the first couple years of his life. Than his parents realized that, despite how much they tried to make him hate muggle and muggle-born wizard he would not do it. They would then punish him, calling him weak and threatening to disown him. Nolan always looked on the bright side. He dreamed of going to Hogwarts and finding a place he could call home, besides the one he was stuck to. He would imagine the friends he met their would care for him, more than his family cared for him and perhaps be able to help him through the struggles he was facing. For most of his young life his parents and relatives all thought he was a squib, though he in fact could preform magic fairly well. He would occasionally grab his father's wand and practice using it. When he was ready to prove he had magical blood his parents watched in awe. After that his parents bought him a brand new wand instead of the old one his uncle had given him. The new one fit him perfectly and he loved it. Misc: Nope think I'm good.

Approved by Andrometer.I assume his brother Julian is at Hogwarts also- just watch out when interacting with him that he plays only a small part! If he is not, then no worries. c: Character I.D.Name: Flint NovemberGender: Male Age: 11 Birthday: October 31 House: Ravenclaw Wand: Veela hair core, 11 inches, blackthorn, slight give. Personality: Strengths: Imaginative, clever, inventive. Weaknesses: Socialization, understanding of the world, self-doubt. Habits: Biting his lips, always fiddling with whatever is in his pockets, always checking for exits in rooms or general areas. Hobbies: Creating small scale inventions, dressing up like a bat, drawing animals and reading. Likes: Drawing, flying (with his broom of course), watching people more than interacting with them. Dislikes: Crowds of people, mean people, professors (He's got a mild fear of being called on in class). Potions class. Three words to describe your character: Awkward, childish, inexperienced. Family: Mother: Clarisse (Flemore) November Father: Daniel November Siblings: 4 older brothers. Caleb 23. Samuel 20. Edmund 19. Julian 15. Other?: Flint comes from a large family of immediate and extended. Individual names are not needed as this is general knowledge to him. He doesn't invest much time in family. Describe Family Life Growing Up: Being the youngest of five, Flint is the apple of his mother's eye, the bane of his father's existence and the butt of all his brother's jokes. Flint was supposed to be a girl, but when a boy came out, well, no one was really shocked, but his mother still attempted to treat him differently, like she would a daughter. While she never dressed him in girls' clothing, she was always softer on him than any of his siblings leaving him with a false sense of security. He grew up soft and gullible as his brothers often played small tricks on him. His father wanted him to get on the quiddich team, like he did during his days at Hogwarts and all his other siblings. Flint was never good with hand-eye coordination and thus has said he has no desire to follow in the footsteps of his other male family members. He enjoys drawing, as his mother was his teacher and taught him to sew. He often would hide out in his room with a sewing machine and create costumes like the animals he drew. He developed quite an imagination and a knack at creating things with the encouragement of his mother and the taunting of his father and siblings, as that made him not want to ever leave his room. History: Flint is from a normal wizard family, living in Godric's Hollow. While nothing very bad and nothing very good as happened in his life, he's still managed to enjoy his life his own special way. While his father feels a sense of failure over Flint not liking sports, he still is quite proud of his boy because of his grades. He often says that the brains of his other four siblings fell into Flint, but they all got the legs of the family. Flint has grown up under good love and care, as while his siblings tease him, they still love him. He attended a muggle school for years K-5 to get a general knowledge on the muggle world and because his family believes their intelligence is just as important as wizard intelligence. Flint was always at the top of his class, but he was always made fun of for being different, even if they didn't know he was from a family of magic. Because of his distance from others, he has preferred the company of animals and books, and thus emulates them with the costumes he makes. He has always loved bats, and thus will wear his bat costume the most. He has created a vast world in his own head vs reality. He had an experience with getting lost in Piccadilly and since then, he has been forever scared of crowds. He's not a very social boy, thus human interaction, muggle or wizard, scares him. He is mostly good with one on one and he tries his hardest to make friends, but he is very inexperienced with human interaction other than his own family. With a family so large, he never needed to seek out friends until he landed on the doorstep of Hogwarts... Misc: N/A

Approved by Andrometer.Though we'd like to know the following: Did you mean dragon heartstring for the wand core? and Perhaps explain why he was homeschooled while his brothers were all sent to schools? Character I.D. Name: Elton Tristan Bligh*Skeleton*Gender: Male Age: 11 Birthday: April 4th House: Gryffindor Wand: 15 inches, ivy and dragon heartstring. Personality: Strengths: Interacting with groups of people, acting out and making people laugh, protecting his friends. Weaknesses: Studying and sitting still, staying focused for long periods of time. One on one interactions with other kids..it makes him extremely uncomfortable. Being around girls..he gets extremely shy. Habits: Checking over his shoulder every couple of minutes, losing track of thought, daydreaming. Hobbies: Wrestling, Foot races, Playing hard, Making up games Likes: Chaos and noise, being in the middle of action, being extremely active Dislikes: Quiet, being alone, being forced to sit for long periods of time and doing school work. Three words to describe your character: exuberant, opinionated, Loud Family: Mother: Calli *(Everton) Bligh -witch/stay at home mom- Father: Travis Bligh -*Wizard* Siblings: five older brothers and four younger sisters. Other?: He's from a mixed family, his father and mother had three kids naturally and then adopted the rest from other countries. This has caused him to not judge people on race or differences. He knows nothing about his biological parents, just that one of them probably was a witch or wizard since he has magic. Describe Family Life Growing Up: Elton is in the middle of his family, he's number six of ten. He has five older brothers and four younger sisters. His family is multicultural and his parents often make a point to teach their children about each of their cultures, which has made Elton very accepting of others. His brothers do tend to give him a hard time, but that only makes him fight back even harder. It's made him tough..and pretty strong as well. His younger sisters look up to him as a hero and a friend. Despite his being shy around most girls; he's definitely not that way with his sisters. He likes taking care of them and coming up with games for them to play, but tries to hide this from his brothers as he doesn't want them to know. History: Elton was found abandoned outside an orphanage for witches and wizards when he was only a few months old. He lived there for five years under the watchful care of the witches who ran the place. He was a vivacious and loud child, often getting punished when he acted out and got too rambunctious. It never broke his spirits though and he always had a very mischievous streak in him. He and the witches were overjoyed when the Blighs came to the orphanage and decided to adopt him. It did rather surprise the witches that such a young couple with five other boys would want such a rambunctious wild kid on their hands. Callie and Travis just smiled and took him home. Elton blossomed under the nurturing care of his new parents and loved that he was taught school at home while the other boys went off to public school. He loved getting his mother to himself, and he quickly caught up in his lessons with the unorthodox teaching style she used. Callie allowed him to run around for an hour every morning before starting school and then take breaks in between to get out all his energy. This helped him to concentrate during lessons and actually pay attention to what he was learning. Elton was to have gone to a normal elementary school with his other brothers..but the teachers pretty much wouldn't teach him if his parents didn't medicate him. They told his parents he had attention deficit disorder and that's why he couldn't sit still and learn with other students. His parents didn't want to medicate him because it made it even harder for him to learn and remember stuff when he was on drugs. Elton also made it harder for other students to concentrate as he would cause a lot of disruptions and the teachers just didn't know how to handle him. Over the years, the Blighs added four girls to their family as well. Elton wasn't so happy about it at first, but warmed up to them when the girls turned out to love the fun games he came up with. A lot of times when it's raining out and they can't play outdoors..it's Elton that comes up with glorious games to play. He has a great imagination and tends to let it get away from him sometimes. When he started showing signs of magic, his parents were overjoyed and very pleased. They started teaching him about the wizarding world and started using more magic around him to get him used to it. Elton loved the fact that magic actually existed and that he was able to use it! Misc:

Approved by Andrometer.Just to clarify: Emma was born to magical parents, but was put up for adoption and was taken in by muggles who didn't know? c: Also, it's worth nothing that children who are muggle-borns (and presumably those who have been adopted by muggles and lived with them all their life) have their letters to Hogwarts delivered in person, so that the person can explain magic to the student. ^^ Character I.D. Name: Emma McQuenGender: female Age: 11 Birthday: January 19th House: Gryffindor Wand: Dogwood 6 7/8 inch Phoenix Feather, whipy Personality: Strengths: Fast, Herbology, Potions, Weaknesses: Clumsy, DADA, Transfiguration Habits: chewing on the end of pencils. Hobbies: Cooking and baking, walk-a-thons. Likes: Pink, sweets, Pink sharing meals with friends and family, Pink and Pink Dislikes: The thought of having to fight, because each person’s life is only so long. Three words to describe your character: Pink, Clumsy, active Family: Mother: Alannah McQuen (Muggle Dead) Father: Marcas McQuen (Muggle) Siblings: Non though Clover’s sorta like a sister or a cousin Other?: Describe Family Life Growing Up: Emma’s always was incurred to do things by her parents and showered with love. She has always like pink but when she was five her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, pink took on a new meaning for her. She still got the love that her parents showed her and even when her mother died when Emma was seven. She would sometimes go with her father to the farm that he worked for to help and or play with the farm owner’s granddaughter. History: Emma was adopted as an infant and raised as an only child. It was quite a shock when her envelope arrived in the mail and addressed point blank at her room. That is when she found out that she was adopted from her father. Though it didn’t change that she was or wasn’t his daughter. She did however felt an odd feeling of why would someone not want her. But Her father put her at easy telling her that he and her mother loved Emma from the second the two of them saw her. At one time when she and Clover where playing near the lake a couple of boys teased her about her clumsiness. Clover didn’t take it to kindly and tackled the boys to the ground getting them all quite muddy. Emma however had laughed it off not minding that she had gotten muddy and had said that she too was in the fight though she hadn’t. Misc: Uhhhh… Journal when I get it up or come across it.

Approval 1: Charmaine Approval 2: Andrometer Comments: Don't forget the wand. <3
Character I.D. Name: Lysander Hawkins Gender: Male Age: 11 Birthday: tba House: Ravenclaw Wand: tba
Personality: Strengths: Smarts. Can-Do Attitude. Willingness to help others. Weaknesses: Snarky. Says what he things. Blunt. How to deal with certain emotions. Habits: Getting super into something, then dropping it a month or so later. Messing with his hair. Worrying about his appearance. Studying. Taking up new hobbies. Hobbies: Pretty much everything, at some point. Likes: To partake in a variety of clubs. To learn new things. To take up new hobbies. Dislikes: To not understand something. When people take his helpful criticism as an insult. Three words to describe your character: Vain. Blunt. Hobbyist.
Family: Mother: TBA - Witch Father: TBA - Wizard Siblings: Younger brother. On the way. Other?: Cousin (Dad's side, male, same age) Cousin (Mom's side, male, older(21 ish)) Cousin (Mom's side, female, older(16-17ish)) Describe Family Life Growing Up: Lysander lives with his mother and father, and is very happy with his life. His parents are fairly well off, enough that, if he were a muggle, he would receive a car (most likely used) for his 16th birthday. However, he would not receive much else.) Lysander lives in a nice house in a nice wizarding neighborhood. His childhood was a happy one, and he was taught basic knowledge from his parents. He was homeschooled, as many wizarding children were, and helped with chores around the house. He is very close with his parents.
History: Lysander has grown up an only child all his life, but now there is a new baby on the way. A boy. Lysander is excited about it, because having a younger brother would be pretty cool. He has had a normal childhood, knows a small bit of basic spells (though he has never attempted them) and has read many books. Lysander knows by heart the directions to the library, the general store, and the local school where they teach a variety of classes. Lysander has been a part of many of these classes, and so has a variety of skills that he holds various levels of knowledge about. He has joined many teams and clubs, at least, of those available to youths, and has been a part of every group within walking distance of his home.
Misc: He messes with his hair often, hands going to it when idle to check it and make sure it looks and feels nice. Cares a lot about looks and appearances. Dresses well for the most part, though he tries to go for a casual sort of well. Dressy Casual. Favorite color is brown, and favors neutral tones in his clothes. Naturally smart, picks up on things other people might not notice. He tries very hard to get good grades in all his classes, even the ones he doesn't like. He can't really understand how some people don't want to succeed, and feels bad for those who can't get a good grade. He'll offer to tutor people if they need it and he thinks he can help, but only if he has the time. He spreads himself pretty thin trying to do as much as possible, and has joined a lot of clubs. He likes being the best at things, but isn't very competitive. He favors helping other people get better, and tries to be the the all-fair leader. However, he is also a bit vain, taking a lot of care into his appearance, and has a sharp tongue that he uses without always noticing. He can seem mean, with his snarky comments at everyone, but is an all around nice guy.

Character I.D.Name: Arionna DeAlkirianGender: Female Age: 11 Birthday: June 17 House: Gryffindor Wand: Rosewood, 12 3/4 inches, Unicorn hair core Personality: Strengths: Loves Trans, enjoys hanging with her friends, quick of tongue and resourceful. Weaknesses: Never thinks before speaking, enjoying material wealth, hates History of Magic, and always wants to fit in. Habits: When extremely nervous, Arionna has a habit to worry her lip or chew upon it. She also has a habit to speak her mind when she shouldn't and this can cause very tense and awkward moments. Hobbies: Growing up in a muggle world, her hobbies are mainly those pertaining to muggleborn children. These include horseback riding, reading, then shopping. Likes: Shopping, spending time with her father, practicing trans spells, and watching Quidditch matches. Dislikes: Solitariness, studying, and not being sure of her actions. Three words to describe your character: Prideful, socialist, opinionated. Family: Mother: Helina DeAlkirian Father: Caelix DeAlkirian Siblings: Only child. Other?: Arionna has a variety of family ranging from aunts and uncles to cousins and grandparents. Describe Family Life Growing Up: With both parents having no power gifted to them, born mear muggles, they never knew of the life of Witch and Wizards. In truth, the only bit of magic you can find in their bloodline of either parent can be found on Caelix's side which belonged to his Great-Grandmother, Tabitha Burchfield. For Arionna's mother, her daughter was an 'oops' child, an unintentional mishap that was never planned. Despite her mother's dislike of her daughter's presence, she tends to be as motherly within reason having more of a distant relationship with her daughter versus most children. On the other hand, whereas her mother is slightly neglectful, to her father, she is his one and only princess. History: Caelix had always craved a child, denied constantly by his wife so when Arionna was born he was beyond thankful. As the DeAlkirian family is wealthy thanks to Caelix's career in the muggle world (a CEO for a demanding Law Firm), Arionna had many things that every child could ever want. When Arionna turned 11 and her letter of acceptance to Hogwarts was delivered, Helina was thrilled of her child's fortune more so in eagerness for a school year without having to worry about dealing with her daughter despite much of her care giving was condoned by the family's staff. For Caelix, his disappointment was inevitable to have his precious daughter leaving his household to stay in Hogwarts, however, he himself is putting on a positive front, wanting his daughter to be happy in everything she did and hoping she reaches as many of her goals as she sets up. Approved by Charmaine Kitteridge Character I.D. Name: Cecilia Aster Gender: Female Age: Eleven Birthday: November 11th House: Hufflepuff Wand: Wood Type: Mahogany Length: 10½ Inches Core: Veela Hair
Personality:
Strengths: Like any good Hufflepuff, Cecilia is extremely loyal to her friends. However, there’s an actual hierarchy when it comes to those who she keeps company with. If it ever came to deciding to side with one of her pureblood best friends and someone she’s roughly friends with, she’ll always side with her best friends (regardless if they are right or not). Despite the reserved attitude she puts up, Cecilia is in truth, very free spirited. She loves mythical stories and lore more than anything in the world and she always imagines herself in some sort of Greek Drama—and she enjoys activities like swimming (she imagines herself being a mermaid). However, she tends to keep this side of her secret, so she looks like, on the surface, every other snooty pureblood.
Weaknesses: When it comes to her friends, Cecilia will almost do anything they want her to. Despite being a pureblood, she hasn’t had the “superiority” mentality enforced on her to an extreme extent—however, due to her company; she’s been forced to live by those standards. She constantly has the “weight” of being pureblood on her mind. There’s constantly the question of: Is it socially acceptable for a pureblood to do this? Because of this sort of mentality, Cecilia stays away from things that she consider to be immature and childish because she’s so obsessed with how people see her.
Habits: Though her parents didn’t really actively discriminate against other bloodlines, they taught Cecilia believe that purebloods were supposed to be the best of the best—and though that didn’t technically mean that other bloodlines were lesser, but the result was the same. Cecilia was put through countless Etiquette classes on how to behave. Therefore, you’ll almost never see Cecilia nibbling on her lips (“A filthy habit!” Her mother declared), twiddling with her hair (“Don’t do that, Cecilia. It makes you look uneducated!”), or even placing her hands in her pockets (“Quit that, you’re stretching out your skirt!”). She always had to sit prim and proper, with her hands clamped “delicately” on her lap (unless she was taking notes, in which case “No elbows on the table!”)
Hobbies: Cecilia decided on several pre-approved hobbies that she could take place on. However, for every leisurely activity Cecilia wanted, she had to do something that her parents found proper. In order to take swimming lessons, she had to learn how to play the piano better than any magicked instrument. In order to purchase some books on astronomy, Cecilia needed to also read through several copies of Etiquette: For Up and Coming Societal Witches. It was always a sort of give and take system with her parents—but when it came to grades, Cecilia needed to succeed above average otherwise all leisurely activities would be taken away from her.
Likes: Cecilia has several obsessions—but the most prominent at her eleven years of age is Greek Mythology and Astronomy (Hah! Witches and wizards pretending to be gods, how funny!) and swimming. She’s almost equally obsessed with both of them and she can almost always be found in the Astronomy Tower or out swimming in the lake (when she isn’t studying or maintaining social relations with her friends). Though she’s never been allowed on a broom before (“Quidditch is a barbaric sport, darling! Leave it to the boys! Girls shouldn’t be mounting brooms and behaving so roughly!”) she can only imagine that she’d love it. The reason she enjoys swimming so much is that freedom that comes with it—and flying? It seemed even more liberating than swimming!
Dislikes: Dancing—(“It’s a must for a proper lady!”) Cecilia firmly believes that a witch’s body is not supposed to bend like rubber. And therefore, one cannot expect her to be able to twirl without getting dizzy or bend backwards without breaking her spine. Of course, she would never dare to express her feelings to her parents, so she begrudgingly takes Dancing Classes. In actuality, Cecilia tends to dislike all the things her parents sign her up for. However, the need to still please her parents is what keeps Cecilia dancing, taking etiquette lessons, keeping above-average grades, and countless other arduous tasks that are for “proper witches.”
Three words to describe your character: Wistful. Introverted. Loyal.
Family: Mother: Daphne Aster (Maiden name: Chambers) – Pureblood witch born to the Chambers family. She was engaged to Romulus Aster in her teenage years. The Chambers family is not an extremely wealthy pureblood family so marrying her into the Aster family elevated their status. In her years at Hogwarts, she was a Slytherin. Father: Romulus Aster – Pureblood wizard born into the prosperous Aster family. He was engaged to Daphne Chambers during his school years—his parents set up the marriage counsel because he had taken a fancy to her during the Yule Ball. Romulus did not attend Hogwarts; he studied abroad at Durmstrang due to a disagreement between his father and the Hogwarts Headmaster of his time. This tension was later resolved, which is why Cecilia was able to enroll at Hogwarts. Siblings: N/A at this time (if anything, they would be an actual player I make later—not an NPC. However, until I can confirm the sibling’s existence, their existence will NEVER be mentioned). Other?: N/A Describe Family Life Growing Up: From the moment she was born, Cecilia was on the path to becoming a respectable pureblooded witch. It was something that her mother always enforced on her. She wasn’t allowed to do a lot of the things that other kids her age could—and she most definitely wasn’t allowed to join in on any “rough-housing” or “rule breaking.” Though her mother was her strictest teacher, it didn’t mean that she didn’t have several intolerable nannies and tutors. And despite the fact that her parents didn’t straight out emphasize that any other bloodline was lesser—they did emphasize that purebloods were supposed to represent the wizarding world (It was a constant excuse as to why Cecilia could not partake in things like Muggle-soccer). And though these values weren’t emphasized, it was an unspoken rule for Cecilia to only socialize with other purebloods while growing up and have interest in only other purebloods. In fact, her parents are already looking for potential pureblood boys to arrange a marriage to.
To clarify, when Cecilia says “parents” she often means just her mother. Her father, though sweet and caring, allows her mother to raise Cecilia the way she sees fit. He was the one who didn’t care that she was sorted into Hufflepuff, not Slytherin (though it could’ve been the fact that he didn’t quite understand, as her mother explained, because he was from Durmstrang). Her father has been the warm, caring figure of her life—and Cecilia always ran to him when upset. Her mother, on the other hand, was extremely strict with her and her father. It’s come to mind that the only reason her mother married her father was because of his family, which was a subject Cecilia would be chastised for inquiring about, so she never did. Her mother also dislikes having visitors from her side of the family and, as Cecilia noticed, she often talks of them badly after they leave.
Despite being meaner than most, her mother was the person she always sought approval from. However, Cecilia rarely earns that approval (and in fact, there’s been a tension between her and her mother for being sorted into Hufflepuff). Hogwarts is the first time that Cecilia hasn’t been constantly under her mother’s scrupulous eyes—which is unnerving and relaxing at the same time. History: Her mother and father met at the Yule Ball during the Triwizard Tournament. For her father, it was love at first sight and he immediately asked her to the dance. And her mother, who had been educated by her own mother on the other purebloods that were attending the Yule Ball, jumped at the occasion. She acted sweet and feminine so to snare Cecilia’s father in and by the time the Tournament was over, her father was madly in love with her mother and begged his parents to set up an arranged marriage between the two of them. And thus, when the two of them were both out of school (Cecilia’s father is two years older than her mother), they were wed. Shortly after, Cecilia was on the way.
Cecilia’s father adored Cecilia when she was born—so much, that he didn’t even notice that his wife’s attitude was going rapidly downhill. Her mother often times disliked the attention her father was giving her and thus spun a huge story about how spoiling Cecilia would doom her in the long run—her father was convinced by her stories and sadly enough, turned the nurturing aspect to his wife. A year or so after Cecilia was born, her father got a promotion at the Ministry of Magic and he soon got swamped with work, leaving Cecilia in her mother’s claws.
Despite some fun days when her father had work off, Cecilia was left in her mother’s tyrannous rule (of course, Cecilia didn’t understand that anything was wrong). Her mother hired nannies to raise her while she gossiped with other pureblood ladies. Despite not being an immediate part of her daughter’s care, she made sure that anyone who came through the household was as strict as she was (and pureblood, of course). Her mother’s approval was always the final test for any subject—like playing the piano or learning charms. Often times, it took several tries to actually win some sort of approval from her mother—especially since Cecilia isn’t automatically bright, she has to work tenaciously for hours at a time in order to get to the level her mother wants her at.
There happened to be a slip in her mother’s judgment with one of the nannies. Instead of teaching Cecilia history, her nanny pulled out a big book of Greek Mythology and Astronomy. For hours, they just sat together reading the book and Cecilia was absolutely enthralled the stories. They were absolutely ridiculous! The amount of joy they gave Cecilia was unfathomable—and she enjoyed them even more when her nanny explained that some of these stories originated from some wizard interaction with ancient Greeks! She pointed things like how out how Zeus could’ve been a metamorphmagus, which explains being able to turn into a golden bull. The pure fantasy of these stories fascinated Cecilia.
But of course, her mother didn’t approve and the nanny was fired shortly after. However, Cecilia’s enjoyment of the stories didn’t cease there. She bargained with her mother for mythology and astronomy books—and after some not so enjoyable experiences, she got some. This was the case for swimming as well, something that Cecilia had found a love for shortly after the mythology obsession. Cecilia had to sit through several boring classes just to learn things like raising her pinky if she ever drank tea.
Before Cecilia’s obsessions could get too out of hand (which would cause her mother to quickly stamp them out), her Hogwarts letter came in the mail and she was quickly wrapped up in all the shopping and preparations to even take out her books! Misc: Cecilia is a pureblood.

Approval 1: Figgy Approval 2: Charm Comments: Good information, can't wait to see what kind of tricks and messes he gets into. Character I.D. Name: Aaric Malcolm GinlanGender: Male Blood: Mixed Age: 11 Birthday: October 10th House: Slytherin Wand: Fir, Dragon Heartstring, 16", Springy Personality: Strengths: Relentless :: While he might use it for less than admirable deeds, Aaric is certainly one of the most relentless people you could meet. If he has a goal in mind, he'll stop at nothing short of murder to achieve it, and no matter how many times he's knocked down, he'll pick his feet back up from under him and run forward toward whatever he's chasing. Impossibility or discouragement doesn't exist for his kind who never know the meaning of giving up. Shameless :: It is true that a Slytherin normally has a limitless pride, but Aaric's pride rests in his ability to be completely shameless. Dignity? You could say it's open to interpretation with this kid. He's willing to do what most would consider humiliating and embarrassing if he needs or simply wants to. Daring :: Coming off from being shameless also provides him with a daring attitude. He challenges authority, stereotype and anything that limits or restricts his freedom in any manner. Courageous and proud of his rebellious streak, he promises to his heart that he would go to any limit to obtain what he wants, and achieve his desire. He dares to do the impossible, and dreams the unobtainable. Brave :: Fear is something this kid never succumbs to. Able to face his darkest terrors with the bat of an eye, Aaric is the type of boy who casts a blind eye against his fears and laughs in the face of danger. Brave and courageous, he ventures toward the unknown and embraces the unexpected with open arms. Adventure, excitement and everything in between. This child pursues them all with unparalleled bravery. Extroverted :: Anyone calling for a new [friend?] Call for Aaric! He'll hook you up with anyone in the school if it calls for it. Bold to an obnoxious point, this kid ain't shy if he could help it, even though he can pretend to be it. Extroverted, he can talk to complete strangers without a single falter and strike conversation faster than a viper could bite. People is where his strength and smarts come into play. Weaknesses: Impulsive :: If there's anyone into jumping into things that he shouldn't, that would be Aaric. To say the least he has little thought-action process. Most of it involves simply diving headfirst into whatever calls to him. Immature :: Ever met anyone who really didn't act their age? Well meet Aaric too. Even though he's still young, he still manages to somehow act incredibly immature, and not to mention annoying. His little jokes and tricks are among those that could make anyone want to facepalm and chuck him out the nearest window in aggravation. Obnoxious :: With childishness comes obnoxiousness. Abhorrent and excessively unpleasant to be around, Aaric is the definition of obnoxious. He loves getting people riled up and tweaking every little button that makes one tick. Prone to getting on people's nerves, Aaric is a relentless anger-inducing machine. Beware of high tempers and explosive drama around this kid. Annoying :: You might be able to actually say its this boy's life goal to annoy the lights out of anyone he comes across. Tricky and despicable, Aaric has his ways with absolutely destroying any sanity in a person simply by being nearby and talking. With being relentless and unmerciful as well, one should steer clear of Aaric on a bad day. Who knows what he could do to make it hit rock bottom. Disagreeable :: If playing the Devil's Advocate was a sport, Aaric might as well win the Olympic gold medal in it. With a contradiction for everything, he's the type of kid that manages to outsmart his parents simply by listing off all the contradictions they've done their whole lives. Loving to disagree may seem weird, but it certainly is a most Aaric-like quality. Habits: Leaning on Hand :: Aaric has a tendency to lean his head on his hand whenever he can. Even when standing he'll rest his elbow on his other arm to do it, or find a spot that he can rest his elbow on so that he can support his head with his hand. Tongue Biting :: For an unknown reason, Aaric seems to bite his tongue whenever he has an interesting idea or is intrigued. At times he'll stick out his tongue and n** it as well, but mostly keeps his tongue inside his mouth when he does. Hobbies: Stalking :: Aaric has a tendency to stalk people just to piss them off, and makes it an activity in figuring out everything about the person that makes them nervous, angry, annoyed or anything that would generally ruin someone's day. Ruining Peoples Day :: It is perhaps his greatest hobby to basically ruin someone's day or mess around with others heads. He enjoys torturing people enough to make them thoroughly aggravated the rest of the hours they have awake. Chess :: Strangely enough, Aaric has a thorough enjoyment of chess, and likes to play when he's not busy figuring out how to disturb his new victims. He's fairly skilled at the game, and also likes other games that require strategy and quick thinking. Likes: Annoying Others :: Making others cringe being near him? YES. Debate :: Arguing's a skill, and Aaric has it. Bring on the debates! Research :: Hours at the books trying to figure things out isn't as boring as it sounds. Chess :: The game has a strange appeal. Strategy Games :: Thinking.. Thinking.. Moving.. Winning! High Places :: The idea of being above everyone else is truly intoxicating. Sour Foods :: Strange, perhaps, but oh so invigorating. Butterbeer :: Sweet and delicious. Wonderful. History :: Boring to many, fascinating to little Aaric. Dislikes: Boredom :: Nobody wants to do with it. Cheerful Dopes :: Only worth the time it takes to bring them down. Do-Gooders :: What's good when you can go bad? Loneliness :: Hey, even Aaric has to feel lonely sometime. Bullies :: It's fun to bring them down, but not being targeted. Confined Spaces :: A little bit of claustrophobia. Closed spaces aren't exactly his friend. Brooms :: After totalling his arm in an accident, the poor kid hasn't been very keen of the vehicle Three words to describe your character: Annoying, Cunning and Merciless Family: Mother: Miramelle Sophia Herald :: Information about Aaric's mother is not well known. She divorced from Aaric's father while the little boy was young, leaving behind her son and husband. The reasons for the divorce are kept secret. Father: Conrad Louis Ginlan :: A busy, rich wizard with little time to deal with Aaric unless he was busy scolding the naughty child. Workaholic, and perhaps a little cruel, this man possessed enough pride to fuel an entire line of Slytherins. He thoroughly disapproves of Aaric's behavior, but is nonetheless determined to produce a proper Slytherin out of him by monitoring him during his years in Hogwarts. Siblings: None, only child. Other?: Paula Thurson :: A young maid that basically was Aaric's (unfortunate) babysitter for the first half of his life. While his father was busy, and his mother missing, Paula would be the one caring for the young boy. Flustered and easily overpowered, the poor lady had to endure several years of torture from the reckless Aaric. If she hadn't been paid so well it would've been likely she'd given up the job. Describe Family Life Growing Up: Aaric's family life is a pathetic memory of destruction and havoc. The boy's early childhood memories consisted of a flustered maid chasing him around a three story mansion to get him to put on his diapers. Without a mother or father most of his childhood, the boy grew up around servants, where he learned power. The son of the master was obviously the one in command after all, when the real master is missing. Aaric learned how to control people early on, and even more how to manipulate things into his favor. He got what he wanted, or all hell broke loose in the form of tears and magical ability going haywire. Being that he was in a rich family full of servants as well, Aaric had little responsibilities growing up, other than studying to become a proper wizard. It's no wonder how the boy became obnoxious as he is with no restrictions other than not to completely wreck the house. Scoldings from his father rarely phased the boy after he realized the man was rarely around enough to enforce his punishments. The servants had no power over him, probably in fact feared what the boy could end up doing to them in the future after inheriting the household. With no siblings, the boy grew up fairly alone, with only his maid Paula to rely on for care. When Aaric was not causing trouble in the household to entertain himself, he was playing games by himself in his room. The spoiled boy easily tired of things and got his wishes most of the time because his father didn't have the patience to deal with the boy's pestering and relentless attitude, finding it easier to give the kid his hearts desires just to get rid of him. Neglected by his family, Aaric was a child that grew up without knowing what its like to be loved and cared for by your blood relatives. He knew from the start Paula only stayed because she was being paid well enough so that the effort was worth it. Perhaps leaving this place that only held memories of absence was the best thing for Aaric after all, even if his new toys would end up being the other Hogwarts students. History: Born into a household that was rich and flourishing, Aaric's childhood was filled with riches and wishes beyond the wallets of most children. A rich father who was never around, and a mother he never knew, the boy found himself cared for by his maid, Paula, who took care of him since infancy. He grew up with her as basically his adoptive mother, whom he tortured day on end with his pranks and tricks ever since he could walk. Growing up, Aaric was basically given everything his little mind could concoct. His father didn't have the time to deal with his son's persistence, and often just gave the boy whatever it took to get him off his back. In doing so, Aaric became aware he had more power than most children his age. By the time he got his first home-school tutor, he already taught himself the way the human mind works, and various tricks and ways to manipulate people. He also had a firm grasp on the idea that he had magical ability. His father may have been busy, but the times he was home, it was all too clear the man was a wizard with plenty of power that he never hesitated to put to use. When he began to get a better control over his magical abilities, thanks to various tutors that all ended up giving up on the boy when he proved too devious for them to handle, things started getting a little more messy. It was clear even, that Aaric went through a phase of pyromania as he used to love setting things on fire to see what others could do about it. The rebellious young boy quickly grew up to be probably the best pest that anyone could find as time went by without much change for the better. It was not until Aaric caught the gray owl that had fluttered into the spa and took it for a joyride around the house before opening the letter, did the house grow peaceful again, Aaric having gone off to explore and bring hell to a new place. To Hogwarts. Misc: Nothing notable. More information is available in his journal. This is nearly identical however, since I used the same format to build my journal, and the information here is the same that is in my journal, the journal just has more that was not in this due to my elaboration.

Approval 1: Andrometer Approval 2: The Feeling Is Gone Comments: <3 Character I.D.Name: Caoimhe DwainGender: Female Blood: Half-Blood Age: 11 Birthday: August 7th House: Slytherin Wand: Carved rosewood, seven and one quarter inches, unicorn tail hair core. Personality: Strengths: Loyal || Once Caoimhe decides that she is friends with someone, she will stand by them, even if they might be wrong. She keeps confidences and will never share a secret. Generous || Despite her general attitude, Caoimhe loves to give her friends things she thinks they might enjoy, be it a material gift or just a note to cheer them up. Spontaneous || Sometimes she'll get an idea in her head and have to just do it. Ambitious || She hasn't chosen a career path yet, but she means to excel at everything she does. Independent || While she enjoys being around her friends and House-mates, she is also completely fine being on her own. When given a group task in class, Caoimhe is all for divvying up the tasks and working alone first. Weaknesses: Vain || She is proud of her orange hair and tends to freak out if something happens to it. Short Tempered || It's fairly easy to get her angry about something, and once she is it can take her a long time to get over it. During that time she can be cold and quite rude. Possessive || Of people, animals, and her things. She doesn't like to share at all and can become very jealous if her friends or even her familiar seem like they are showing preference for someone else. Craves Attention || She loves being the center of attention, and doesn't always discern between good or bad attention. She also falls easily for flattery. Insensitive || This is not always on purpose. She tends to be very blunt and doesn't understand how easily her words can hurt other people, despite being easily angered by the words of others. Habits: Nail biting || Usually when she's thinking or upset, she will bite or chew her nails resulting in very short fingernails that she can be embarrassed about. Playing with her hair || Often she will twirl a finger in her curls, but when she's really bored and not paying attention (mostly in class) she will braid sections of her hair. Drumming her fingers or writing utensil || When bored or in thought, she will often drum random beats on the table with her finger or relentlessly tap the end of her pen or pencil on the desk. Hobbies: Shopping || She loves to go shopping, even if she can't always afford to buy what she wants. Reading || Her favorite time to do this is when the Slytherin common room is quiet and mostly empty and she can curl up in a chair with her favorite blanket and read for as long as possible. Collecting || She likes to collect things. Mostly things that catch her eye like shiny or smooth rocks. She also likes to collect the cards from Chocolate Frogs Walking || One of her favorite things to do. When she's thinking about something or upset, she'll take a walk to help her think or relax. Card Games || She loves to play card games of any kind and will usually have a deck on her somewhere. Likes: Children, animals, luxury, books, flattery. Dislikes: Opposition, abuse of children or animals, boredom, betrayal. Three words to describe your character: Confident, Loyal, Blunt Family: Mother: Aoibheann Cavanaugh (Married name: Dwain): Her proud-to-be-mostly-pureblood mother. She blames her marriage to Caoimhe's father on youthful rebellion and arrogance. She does however love her daughter and wants the best for her. Father: Seamus Dwain: Her Muggle father that she doesn't know very much about since her mother separated from him when she was very young. It wasn't until Caoimhe was accepted into Hogwarts that she filed for divorce. Siblings: Niamh Dwain, a Muggle step sister she knows nearly nothing about. She is older than Caoimhe and was a product of a one night stand of her father's. Niamh's mother left her on Seamus' doorstep and he took care of her ever since. She does not factor much in Caoimhe's life. Other?: She mostly grew up with her grandparents on her mother's side, but they tend to despair of their granddaughter as they did her mother. Both tend to be a little rebellious. Describe Family Life Growing Up: Until the age of three, Caoime lived in Ireland with both parents and her step sister Niamh. When Aoibheann was assured that her daughter promised to be a witch like she was, she left Caoimhe's father and moved to England where her parents lived. From three onward, Caoimhe was pampered and had everything she ever wanted. She wasn't quite spoiled since her mother nd grandparents made sure she kept her grades up and did her chores around the house. Despite being half Muggle, Caoimhe seems to take mostly after her mother in everything and she was brought up almost as a pureblood child. Because of this, she does tend to look down at other Muggle born children, but she isn't the snob some purebloods can be. History: Born to a witch and a clueless Muggle, Caoimhe was taught from a very early age that she was different from everyone else. She was also taught that different didn't necessarily mean better and she should not automatically assume that she was better than anyone. While her mother was sensible about such things, her grandparents were not as much and instilled in her a touch of arrogance. She always had anything she wanted, but the price for that was keeping her grades up and keeping up with her chores. It never bothered her, and the outcome is she's a fairly organized girl. When Caiomhe got her letter of acceptance, her mother and grandparents were overjoyed. The first possible day, her mother took her to Diagon Alley and bought all her books and supplies to last her the entire year. She even offered to spoil her daughter further and buy her a familiar, but Caoimhe wasn't sure what kind she wanted and asked if she could perhaps think on it for a while. Misc: Not much <3

Approval 1: Charmaine Kitteridge Approval 2: The Feeling Is Gone Comments: Figgy's OCD Comments : 3 - Well, you spelled "Hippogriff" wrong... And I'm not actually sure that wand cores can be made out of hippogriff tail hair. Feel free to prove me wrong if you found this on Pottermore or some other legitimate looking site. From what I know, the only specifically stated wand cores or phoenix feather, veela hair, thestral hair, unicorn hair, and dragon heartstring. Other than that, you have my approval, Berri! : 3 Character I.D.Name: Andrew Johnathon SwitchGender: Male Blood: Mixed Blood Age: Eleven Birthday: April 13th House: Gryffindor Wand: Ash, nine and three quarters, hippogryph tail hair core Personality: Strengths: A Leader || Andrew loves to be the leader of groups and will always volunteer for it in class. Affectionate || He's a little guarded around strangers, but with his friends he's very affectionate and likes to hug though he won't admit it. Inquisitive || He LOVES to ask questions, about any and everything. He doesn't necessarily pay attention to the possibility his question might not be appropriate. Motivated || Once he gets started in a project, nothing can deter him from finishing it. Adventurous || He enjoys trying new things, and finding new places. Being a first year, one of his priorities is to explore the entire castle and grounds. Weaknesses: Impatient || He HATES waiting, for anything. He'll sigh, tap his foot, daydream, occasionally he'll get irritated especially if he's nervous about what he's waiting for. Hot-Tempered || He has a tendency to get mad about little things, but he just as easily calms down. Sensitive || Little things can hurt his feelings very easily. He usually hides this though, and eventually he'll forget. He doesn't know how to hold a grudge. Territorial || He hates for his space to be invaded, or his things to be touched. He has no problem telling someone to back off, though he might start out nicer than that. Pushy || He's bad about wanting his own way, no matter what. When leading a team or group project, he tends to say what he thinks is the best path to take without asking his team members. Habits: Fidgeting || It's not intentional nor is it conscious (most of the time). He usually has to be doing something, especially with his hands. In class, taking notes is usually enough, but if he's not taking notes, he will be doing something else like doodling or drumming beats, or tapping his feet. Overspending || He likes to buy things, even if it's something he knows isn't worth it. He'll get it because he wants it. Sometimes he'll regret it later. Obsessive Compulsive || He likes to keep his things organized, to the point where sometimes he'll get upset if something is out of order. He prefers things in multiples of five, but it's not a necessity and it's not as bad as OCD could be. Hobbies: Hiking || He loves to walk and hike up hills and mountains. Swimming || Swimming is one of his favorite things to do as well, and he's very good at it. Gardening || Along with his love of the outdoors, he likes to keep gardens when he can. Mostly vegetables, but there are a couple flowers he likes to keep as well. Likes: Competition, outdoors, animals, flowers, veggies. Dislikes: Taking orders, opposition, being ignored, defeat, waiting. Three words to describe your character: Neat, Impatient, Adventurous Family: Mother: Abigail Switch (Maiden name, Draper): A very kind and loving woman who runs a daycare for magically-inclined children from their home. Father: Aden Switch: Also kind, Aden is a Muggle who, before marrying Abigail, was not aware of the witches and wizards in part of his own family tree. He is an elementary school teacher for Muggle children. Siblings: None (yet). His mother is looking to have another child, however. Other?: None. Both sets of Andrew's grandparents passed before his acceptance into Hogwarts. Describe Family Life Growing Up: Andrew, as an only child, was spoiled a little growing up. He never felt lonely though, as his mother had begun her daycare business shortly after she married Aden. This ensured a rather large group of friends for Andrew, who was always leading expeditions into their backyard which with a little pretend and some magical help from his mother could be anything they wished it to be. As he grew older, and the kids his mother watched over stayed generally the same age, Andrew lost contact with the friends of his babyhood. Instead, he lost himself in books and would explore the neighborhood around their home by himself, making up fanciful stories to keep himself entertained. As he neared age eleven, his mother got more and more excited and was always sneaking up to the attic, though when he went up later he could never figure out what kept her there. It wasn't until he received his letter that she revealed it to him, the huge family tree that covered one wall of their attic. Way down at the bottom was his name, and from him branched the two sides of his family. Some names had crests below them, with a great tendency toward crimson and gold. It was there that his mother explained more fully about their family and why there were things he could do that the Muggle kids at his school couldn't. It was here he learned more about the Houses and what the crests were. From there, he learned that nearly everyone on her father's side of the family had been Gryffindors, and that she fully expected him to follow in her family's footsteps. History: Andrew has never been shy about anything. As a child, he was constantly asking questions and trying to figure things out. Quite often, teachers would become exasperated with him and some even tried to limit the number of questions he could ask in an hour. It never seemed to work as something they were teaching always made him more curious. After his mother told him about the Houses of the school (with heavy emphasis on Gryffindor, of course) Andrew found himself in her old books of history. He learned about the original heads of the houses, and it seemed the young boy was attracted to the Slytherin house. His mother never asked him what house he might prefer, and this served to cement the boy's interest in Slytherin at the the Sorting Ceremony, he was very sure he would be sorted into Slytherin. The Hat however had other plans, and Sorted him into Gryffindor. Misc: As an example of his obsessive compulsive side, his books are alphabetized first by author, and then by title within the authors. He also hates to be called Andy and will refuse to answer to it

Approval 1: Charmaine Kitteridge Approval 2: Melwyn Comments: Charm here. I'm not sure the character would fit here as it's written. After all if she's from the US she'd more then likely be going to the US school that's located in Salem. Also how does her mother's history of begin raised by the grandmother's sister account for her personal history? I don't see how that falls under "the truth about her name". Plus that information to me that would fall under family history. Character I.D. Name: Kira RazianGender: Female Blood: Half-Blood Age: 11 Birthday: Oct. 7 House: Gyriffindor Wand: 10in willow with dragon heartstring core Personality: Strengths: She is a very open person, will strike up a conversation with anyone that she can. She is friendly. Weaknesses: She babbles when she is nervous about random events, her fears or what has annoyed her that day. She is also known to let her imagination run away with her and sit staring into space. She gets loud when defensive or upset. She also cannot stand conflict so when she feels someone is yelling at her she will start to cry. She hates to cry and gets angry about it. Habits: chewing on various things (i.e. her knuckles, her lips, quills etc.) Hobbies: Reading and writing Likes: Candy, nighttime, staring at the moon, music, animals Dislikes: Know-it-alls, snobs Three words to describe your character: Opinionated, Strong-willed, Kind Family: Mother: Rean Razian - Muggle Father: Riden Loup - Mixed Blood Siblings: Only child Other?: Frances Razian - Grandmother Describe Family Life Growing Up: Kira never knew her father growing up. She was raised by her mother and her mother's family. She is an only child. Kira's relationship with her mom, in her mind, has always been "We take care of each other." She would be found in the owlery most at least once a week to send letters to her mother. Rean's birth mother died of cancer when she was young, so her sister Frances adopted Rean and her sister, to finish raising them. Frances also helped raise Kira and two of her cousins while their mother's worked. History: From the time she was born till age six she was raised in Sacramento, California by her mother and their aunt's family. They moved to Pueblo, Colorado to be with her grandmother and great-grandparents when Kira was six. Rean and Kira moved to London, England when she was eight years old because her mother was promoted to a position the Eversheds Law Firm. They kept in touch with family via email. When Kira received her Hogwarts letter, needless to say her family was in shock. Her mother encouraged her to make her own decision. Her grandmother expressed concern for the school, but left the decision to her. Her cousins only further ostracized her, calling her the favorite and spoiled. They told her that they would all be better off if she did leave, One of her cousins in particular said that she had already known since Kira "cheated" on their family game night when they would play a dice game known as "Ten Thousand" or "Greedy." She decided to go feeling it was better to learn about magic than be ignorant of her abilities. There was a part of her that yearned to leave if only to be free of her cousins' horrible treatment of her. (edited) Misc: She is very territorial about her books. She will let others borrow them but if they are harmed she gets really upset. She also has multiple notebooks filled with stories that she comes up with. She has a deep interest of magical creatures.

Character I.D. Name: Louis Auria (pronounced: Louie) Gender: Male Blood: Half Blood Age: 11 Birthday: May 5th House: Slytherin Wand: Yew, 14”, Dragon Heartstring, Flexible
Personality: Strengths: Pride - Sicilians are notoriously proud of their heritage and put a strong emphasis on family and community bonds. Even if they’re not on speaking terms with members of their family they will defend them to the death to ‘outsiders’. Loyalty - It’s hard to earn it but once you’re in his inner circle you become part of his ‘family’ with all the perks. He’s loyal to his family, to his House, and to a few choice friends. Confidence - Louis is sure in his ability to do anything he puts his mind to. As far as he’s concerned there’s nothing he can’t do. Talent - Louis has a natural talent for song and dance. While he’s no prodigy or even star material, singing and dancing come easy to him. Weaknesses: Pride - While admirable, his pride is also his downfall. He won’t admit that he is wrong and can be pushed to agression in defence to a perceived insult. Even if it’s pointless to go on his pride won’t let him accept defeat. He’ll twist it in someway to keep the perception that he’s still ‘on top’. Blame - It’s never his fault. THEY started it, YOU messed up, SOMETHING got in his way. Agression - Who said violence is never the answer? Sometimes people just need a good fist to the gut or knock upside the head. Lack of Respect - He has a nasty tendancy to view others as ‘less’ than him. This includes teachers and other authority figures. While he’s only a halfblood in the wizarding world he’s a purebred Sicillian on both sides as far back as they can trace. If you’re not Sicilian or at least Italian then you’ve got a long road to travel to earn his respect. Habits: Smirking, slacking off when he’s ‘bored’, making snaky comments. Hobbies: When he becomes a second year he wants to take up Quidditch. For now he enjoys exploding snap, lounging and socializing in the commons and harassing the whomping willow on warm days. Likes: Flying, Transfiguration, good food, good music, creature comforts, Dislikes: Change(he won’t admit it), spicy food, being bossed around, rain and cold weather Three words to describe your character: Arrogant, Self-assured, Stubborn
Family: Mother: Giuseppa(Nick: Sephie) Greco, Mixed Blood, 30 years. Owner of Sephie’s Sweets, a Sicilian bakery and café. Father: Michael Auria, Muggle, 34 years. Works for King’s Cross station as a conductor on muggle trains. Has a lifelong passion for trains. Siblings: Emilio(younger brother, 6), Savio(younger brother, 5), Caterina(Younger sister, 2) Other?: His mother is currently pregnant with his 4th sibling. Gender unknown. Describe Family Life Growing Up: Rather generic. He’s the oldest of 4 children by 5 years. His mother is a witch and his father a muggle. His family is open about their magical heritage amongst themselves and so far as they can tell all of his siblings have inherited magic from their mother. He’s just far enough apart in age from his siblings to dislike sharing or playing with them. He was the only child and got used to having everything his way till Emilio came along. The two have a rather rocky relationship. They’re all home schooled and tutor taught by a handful of teachers from the wizarding world.
History: He was born and spent his early childhood in Marianopoli Sicily. It’s a very small town outside of Caltanissetta. He’s the eldest of 4 siblings. He grew up surrounded on all sides by more family than he could count. While his father knew of his mother's peculiar pedigree, the rest of the Aurias were kept ignorant. All they knew was that their darling Michael had found himself a good sicilian girl and was doing his familial duty in supplying them with plenty of children. Sending the children off to a 'boarding school' didn't exactly float with the Aurias though. When it came time for Giuseppa and Michael to consider their children's magical future it was decided to move away from the family's influence. They waited till after Caterina was born before moving to London. Michael was extremely happy with the move as it gave him the opportunity to work at King's Cross Station. There wasn't much in the way of rail traffic in Marianopoli. Louis isn't particularly fond of England though he likes living in a larger city. It's only real saving grace is it allows him to attend Hogwarts.
Misc: He catches colds fairly easily in the winter months and dislikes going out in the rain and snow. He’s ill suited for the cold climate at Hogwarts.
