DEUS EX MACHINA PERSONNEL FORM
The Hunter Name: Petra Walker Morris / Zeta Eight Nicknames: Zeta Eight (Sunshine and Pet are acceptable for Robert only) Gender: Female Age: 19
Category
Moon/Sun - Does the 'hands on' operations, more tied to execution of missions, attacking, assaulting, defense, repair, and guarding work. Moon is related more to repair/rescue and defense while sun is related more to offense
Death transfer!
Personality: Out of Date/To be updated
A relatively private girl even before the incident in her childhood, Petra can be described in two words as the strong, independent type, something she has cultivated especially during the short period she's been out of the hunters pod due to an overwhelming desire to be self-sufficient. Tending towards reserved and observant, she often picks up tasks better by watching and figuring out the process before jumping headlong into a situation, leaving her to be described very accurately later on as a calculating individual. Although everyone does impulsive things occasionally, Petra tends towards waiting before acting, even thinking before saying things, almost to the point of being a little weird. Despite this, she has a searing tongue and an icy temper, as well as very little inclination to keep them bridled. Although she does have the ability to be understanding and relatively compassionate, very very few individuals get to see this side of her, leaving most to think her abrasive and lacking an understanding in social etiquette. Since the island, this has changed in the fact that Phoenix is the exception to most rules, allowing her to be relatively open to the few people whom have deemed themselves to be trustworthy and reliable.
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?
(When Skies are Grey)
Even as a child, the shadows controlled and defined Petra as a person. Since that first encounter with the darkness that was the true essence of Halloween and FEAR, she had forever been in a constant state of inner turmoil, wavering between ignoring and avoiding anything even remotely dark in nature. She lived in a constant state of denial, never admitting even to herself that what she saw could even possibly be truth, although in the back of her mind she always knew. Twilight became like an alarm clock -- no matter where she was, as soon as the sky grew darker and the sun began to set, without fail she excused herself from whatever activity she was doing, returning home, despite knowing that although comforting, even home wasn't safe. But everyone wants to believe you're safe at home, right? Monsters can't get you when you're in your bed, curled under the covers.
The abandonment of her mother and, subsequently, her sister were also a big factor in her eventual decision to become a hunter. This is the first catalyst in her refusing to rely on others in order for support -- her main motive for becoming a hunter. The second is the 'betrayal' of her long-term boyfriend/childhood friend, where she is convinced his only motives for being with her is because he could never have her sister, whom is fickle and often disappears suddenly for long periods of time. Although she had already made the decision to go with the hunters, her time on 'the island,' too, had an influence on her eventual acceptance of her roll as a hunter, allowing her the experience of being the emotionally and physically independent individual she had resolved herself to be for a short period of time. Although Phoenix Squad helps her to accept that she does want relationships in life, providing an unknowing redemption, it also provides the knowledge that a balance is possible.
However it is, in the end, the reaper's monologue as she's losing her consciousness in the hunters' pod that she completely accepts the role of the hunter, and strives to become completely self-sufficient, if not emotionally, than to rid herself of the fear which has shaped her life thusfar.

The Weapon
Name: Cain Nicknames: --- Type of Weapon: Mace/Morning star .................Totem item: Silver pentagram pendant - worn on a chain around her neck, with the star-shaped pendant representing ................................... the head of the mace and the chain (when held straight downward from the hand) representing the handle. Former species of weapon: Demon - Baphomet Gender: Male
Personality:
For the most part, Cain is like any other person, albeit with perhaps a slightly less than cheerful outlook on life. Although it wouldn't be fair to say he's gloomy, per se, the demon does not make any effort to friendly. His conversations are usually rather cut and dry, sparing no interest in anyone's feelings, although his mood fluctuates like anyone else's, which influences his level of interest. On a good day, his commentary is relatively detached in nature, with the exception of things that pique his interest, which are few and far between. He may even be moderately helpful, or even conversational. On bad days...
... on bad days, he will be hell-bent to psychologically manipulate you, merely for the sport of seeing if he can break you like a toy. If one was to say that every person was born with a conscience, it could easily be said that there was in every person an anti-conscience as well -- the voice in your ear that condones the worst parts of you, telling you everything you want to hear with regards to the acceptability of your actions and thoughts. Cain enjoys nothing more than being that voice. He will play devil's advocate to a decision you thought you were sure about, until you're second guessing everything you ever knew about yourself.
Weapon Ability
Upon being charged with FEAR, Cain summons a smokey darkness that surrounds the individual, lending itself to the psychological feeling of being suffocated in darkness, as well as a rising panic of being completely unable to see anything around them.
