xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Optimism: Adriana is a naturally optimistic girl. Everything revolves around the next sale- so she's always excited to rip the next person off. She's especially happy when her wallet has money, if she ever drops below 100 rupees, she becomes uncooperative and childish. Adriana gained this quality when she was very young and her father passed away. For a time, she was depressed, and talked to almost no one. However, she saw that her mother was more emotionless, so she changed for her mother, making an attempt to cheer her mother up at all times. At first it was a faked optimism, only for her mother, but over time she has adopted this quirky happiness for all situations.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Charisma: Being a saleswoman, Adriana has that charming smile that makes you want to buy whatever she's selling. Growing up in Castle Town, she's also met many different types of people, giving her innate knowledge of anthropology. She usually is quick to pull the smooth words out of her mind too, as she speaks without having to carefully think through well placed words. For a short time during her childhood, a bookstore was located next door to her father's shop, and he lent her old books that he never sold. One of such books was an in depth look at body language, which Adriana immediately picked up and adapted to her own lifestyle. As such, she's very good at picking up the little quirks and glitches in human personalities.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Travel Companion: Seeing as Adriana is a travelling sort of business, she's constantly on the move. While this leaves her without a true "home," she's an excellent traveler. She generally sleeps in a small, leather-esque tent, guarded by Ezhno's statue-making ability. Monsters are usually held at bay by Ezhno, but Adriana tries to make her "dwelling places" out of their reach, nonetheless. She doesn't mind sleeping on the ground, nor will you ever hear her complain about her feet hurting. And because of this aloof status, she's an excellent companion to travel with, as she knows many ways to keep herself entertained. The only thing she can't stand is sleeping anywhere near water. She doesn't like the noise and can't stand the constant buzz of insects in her ears.

xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Hustler: Considering Adriana is a merchant, she dedicates her life to making a quick rupee. However, instead of giving fair prices to customers, she instead uses her persuasive charm to convince them they need completely useless objects. Rather, she either sells overpriced objects, and sometimes even sells fake objects. It's very hard to talk her out a deal, and haggling is almost never successful. She'll risk anything to make a deal; just as long as she can fill her wallet. Occasionally she'll get caught, by an expert jeweler, or a quick to catch on hylian, but she has many friends in the merchant world. She seems to slip into the shadows and completely disappear- no one quite knows how she does it.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Assumption: Unfortunately for her, Adriana's charismatic ability to relate to people is only used for appearances. Because of this, she tends to judge people only based on their appearance and not what their personality is. Not to say she immediately judges every normal person she sees, but if you saw a man walking down the street in extremely dapper clothes, you'd assume he's rich- wouldn't you? This is part of why she is so meticulous with her own appearance, because she knows that for a businessman or woman, the first encounter is the first, and in most circumstances, only encounter. Not to say that she's prideful, she's simply very businesslike in her appearance.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Gossip: Because of Adriana's occupation, she hears quite a bit of gossip on the road. She considers spreading it all around to just be an even bigger joy- she loves the reactions she gathers from her juicy little tidbits. In fact, sometimes she intentionally creates gossip in order to sadistically watch another's reaction. Of course, when she's traveling, she doesn't capture all the gossip, aside from large events that happen throughout hyrule. While in Castle Town buying new "wares," though, she hears all the latest news from the local vendors, which is simply her bread and butter.

xxxxxxxxxxOverall ✪ As a traveler, Adriana's hygiene is not always one hundred percent perfect. She bathes when the water is available, and has a change of clothes just in case. However, as a merchant, she does her best to keep her appearance up; every good businesswoman knows that looks and impressions are everything in the commerce world.
xxxxxxxxxxHair ✪ Waist length; Blonde.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Adriana's hair is down to her waist, and always seems to be blowing in the wind somehow.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- She has crudely cut sidebangs, that swirl on the left side (from her perspective). Similar to Spanner from REBORN! but not quite the same.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- She has a small seashell comb bartered from Zora's Domain, she uses it to brush her hair most mornings.

█▌☆▐ Well I'll Tell Ya That... For A Price |
xxxxxxxxxxPrologue ✪ The Beginning of Business
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Adriana's story begins far before her birth. No, it begins with a man named Dusan. Dusan was a fisherman's son, a peasant really, from Windfall island. With three older, stronger brothers, and a muscular father, Dusan was the miniscule runt of the family. But he had something his male kin lacked- calculations. Yes, Dusan's mind ticked like clockwork- he could solve any logical problem he put his mind to, as long as it didn't require much physical work. He was a quiet sort really, never truly making friends (save for a small dog his family owned) By the time he had come of age on Windfall, all of his brothers had been married off and owned fishing boats of their own. Seeing as he had no true attachments to the tiny island, he kissed his mother and father goodbye, and set sail for the mainland.
xxxxxFrom this point on, Dusan worked small end jobs- fixing broken doors in a village, then helping a poor man understand how his fishing rod worked- it all lead up to Castle Town. An excerpt from an old diary Adriana found read:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"It was glorious, truly it was. The prestige of her banners waving through the giddily light air. The magnificence of the walls; towering above all who approached them! The orderly function of the guards, the way every one of them knew their place in the regimen. And the people! The people! Every interaction bubbling with frivolous intensity; whether it be a couple falling back in love, or two merchants fighting over the price of a potion- oh it was so beautiful, I couldn't help but stare for a moment. Yes, I think I shall fall in love with this city quite rapidly."
And fall in love he did, though not with the city. Soon after arriving in Castle Town, a kind-hearted old man named Xavier took him in as an apprentice. Xavier was a master of potions, and as such was highly regarded by travelers for his inept abilities. However, he was growing older, and was becoming pressured to take on another to give his skills- for he had no sons or daughters of his own. All of the local Castle Town members weren't skilled enough for his tastes though, until Dusan came along. Xavier admired Dusan's logical mind, and as such took him on as an apprentice. For many years, they were happy. Apprentice and master learning from each other, and healing the townspeople using their potions. However, one day, Xavier abruptly said, "I've taught you all I can. You'll know." The next morning, he had peacefully passed away in his sleep, along with a will giving his entire fortune and shop to Dusan.
xxxxxxxxxxChapter 1 ✪ A Family, A life
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- For a time, Dusan was inconsolably sad, and rightfully so. He prepared potions, but not with the same luster as before. He married a plain woman named Delia, and had a plain daughter named Luna. Life was tedious and repetitive, until he had a second daughter named Adriana. He could tell she had the same spirited wisdom that Dusan shared, and immediately bonded with her. As such, he believed Adriana was his little jewel, his last treasure on this earth. As his last treasure, he believe Adriana would be the one to carry on his business, so he taught her his potion-making art and all his attention went to her. She learned how to manage a business, how to mix the proper potions, and while she wasn't a full master of potions, she was more knowledgeable than the average hylian.
xxxxxAs time went on, the family was joyful. Sister played with sister happily, mother and father were finally a pair, a partnership, and the small shop flourished as more migrants began to travel through Castle Town. Adriana grew older, became friends with the various shop owners around her father's potion shop (a curio shop, a flower shop, a bakery here and there). More and more people swelled into Castle Town, and soon the streets were filled to the brim with Zora and Goron alike, all hoping to see a glimpse of the royal family. But with the swell of people, comes the multiplication of disease. A few weeks after Adriana's fifteenth birthday, her father became ill and was bedridden. Adriana tried every potion and soup she knew, but nothing was working. They called physician after physician after doctor, but no one could find a cure to this strange ailment. A month later, her father was gone.
xxxxxxxxxxChapter 2 ✪ Time goes on, The Past Catches Up
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- The whole family mourned the loss of such an important family member. A wife was missing her partner, a daughter missing her father, but most importantly, one daughter was missing her protection, her support. For you see, when one daughter is exalted in the light, another must shelter in the shadows. Dusan's love for his daughter Adriana had not gone unnoticed. Luna had lived her life in the shadow of the shining jewel Adriana. Years of pent up jealously finally erupted without Dusan there to stop her. Their mother was too emotionless to even notice their bickering, much less to stop Luna from doing so. Under this emotionless void, Adriana had no place to run, save for the library next door she often spent the night at. The business eventually fell, due to the mother's lack of business knowledge and Adriana's unwillingness to run the shop (fear of Luna ran her out any time she attempted). However, much to Adriana's disdain, her mother sold the shop. The shop she was born in, the cupboards she pulled ingredients from, the cauldrons she mixed potions with her father's smiling face looking down on her- all gone. The last straw had been set on the camel's back- Adriana's back- and she was crushed. Sliding as much of anything as she could into her bag (the objects so much didn't matter, she was in too much of a blind fury to care), and she ran away.
xxxxx However, before making a mad dash she was stopped by the library. All the years she spent the night at his house, all the times the old librarian had heard her cry and consoled her with simple words, and all the times he had fed her when she had nothing to eat came back to her, Adriana wanted to thank him. She crept into his strange shop filled with books on every wall, only to find the man giggling behind his desk at some book happily. With tear filled eyes, she choked out as much of the story as she could explain to him, and then quietly thanked him and slipped out the door. The next morning, she found that he had slipped a strange book into her bag- filled with hylian writings she didn't understand. A small note was attached to the back that said "Take this to a witch, Have an Adventure."
xxxxxxxxxxChapter 3 ✪ The Birth of a Merchant
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Seeing as she had nothing else in front of her, she quickly set out to the witch. The nearest witch's tower was about thirty miles from Castle Town, all of which Adriana had to walk. Along the way she met a few travelers, whom she made potions for, selling them for as much as she could in order to make it to the next inn for the night. In this way she began her a sort of business, though not nearly as organized and efficient as it is now, simply selling things out of a backpack. The road was long and silent, the worst type of road to travel when inconsolably sad, as was the case with Adriana. The events of the past few years kept playing over and over in her mind, powering her footsteps closer to the witch's tower, which always seemed one step too far away. The old librarian's sympathetic embrace, her mother's listless stare, her sister's cold eyes; it all crashed down on her, one straw at a time.
xxxxxFinally she arrived at the old brass-colored tower. It was old and decaying, some stones lay noticeably at the foot of the tower, leaving gaps and holes in the walls of the tower. One small window was visible a foot or so underneath a tweed green roof, but other than that, no light seemed to enter the fortress. The door was a matching tweed green, and had a large, brass wind spirit head knocker on the front. Knocking on the door, she swore the strange eyes moved, but simply shook her head and brushed it off. An older sounding, ancient voice warbled from inside the tower, "Come in, Come in." Adriana took a deep breath, and turned the knob.

xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Giant's Wallet: Every merchant needs one!
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Hylian Compass/Watch: As a constant traveler, Adriana keeps a compass that opens up to reveal a travel sized gossip stone. It has a small ruby in the center on the outside, and a golden chain. It has hylian writing, and a small, velvet internal space.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- A Few Red Potions: Because she isn't much of a fighter, and she does have to travel the great hyrule field where monsters lurk, Adriana carries a few potions with her. Adriana has a bag full to sell to wary travelers, but always keeps a few in her personal stash, just in case.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- A dried flower: In a pocket of her personal stash bag, Adriana keeps a dried up flower from her father's grave. It's just for encouragement and sentimental reasons.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Empty Bottle: Not for any particular reason. Just has one, in case the need arises.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Gerudo's Membership Card: Although she hardly ever visits, Adriana does have the gerudo's membership card, simply so that she can enter the Gerudo fortress to sell her wares. She has no affiliation to the nabooru group, though.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Zora's Comb: For her hair, Adriana uses a seashell comb, bought from a terrible salesman in Zora's Domain. It is a blue-ish color, and has a small blue jewel in the center, assumedly fake.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Small Metallic Fan: They're really quite useless, but can be used to give a cut or two before planning her escape. Kept in the folds of her red divisor cloth.

xxxxxx- Very quiet and observant, and exceedingly dutiful. He often seems uninterested in the affairs of business, whereas in reality he's just a much a part of Adriana's business as Adriana. Ezhno knows his place is to be Adriana's weight- the one that balances Adriana's outgoing and bouncy attitude. He's very protective of her though, and they work very well as a team. Ezhno and Adriana really make a yin and yang sort of relationship- they are both the worst and perfect partners for each other.
xxxxxx- For some unknown reason, Ezhno has an exceptional, innate knowledge of music. He also has a form of perfect pitch; while he can't play any instruments himself, he can tell when notes are off tune, or if an instrument is played incorrectly. Adriana and Ezhno concluded that it was due to his witchery being the elegy of emptiness, but neither really has the authority to assume so.
xxxAbility ✪ Petrification
xxxxxx- As an esper, Ezhno has the ability to turn stones of any size into statue. This gives Adriana both an economic and strategical advantage. Ezhno uses his ability to make small figurines, very similar to the ones Muimyu makes, which Adriana then sells for cash.
xxxxxx- Ocassionally, Adriana is caught by guards, smart scientists, etc. and needs to make a quick getaway. She has Ezhno create statues of herself out of boulders while she climbs up a tree, or over a wall. While it's not a very convincing ruse, it buys time for a proper escape.
xxxxxx- Ezhno also protects Adriana from monsters most of the time. He can petrify the enemies, allowing Adriana time to run to a safer location.
xxxxxx- The only downside to this magic, is that it doesn't last very long. It takes about 10 minutes for the petrification to fade away, so Adriana must be quick to escape her foes. Its also another way that she cons her customers.
