This is a primitive map of the facility.

Your one-stop party destination, The Hungry Bear, stands in the cold accompanied by nothing more than a old; covered caravan and a single tree. From sight of the dark windows, the second story looks dead, but light beams from the first floor's openings. With the door left agape and warm light pouring into the cold, it is quite a welcoming sight. As one draws near, fiddle music from a simple one-man-band can clearly be heard from outside. It is questionable where he came from, but Dis would never admit she found him on the corner to work for a loaf of bread.

Upon appearing at the door, one is engulfed in the warmth of a fireplace and greeted by the hostess's clearly predetermined welcome. "Hello there and welcome to the party! If you'd like, come over a grab a numbered card, but don't open it and peek! You have to wait for everyone else to have one too," she nodded confidently, "This'll be our first little game." Though she's all the way at the bar counter and basically shouting at you across the room, the barmaid motions to a number of cards fanned out in front of her. Smiling, she jokes, "Let's see if you've been naughty or nice."

When you take your first step closer, the young Hylian points above your head, grinning. "Oh! And watch out for that mistletoe."

exclaim Ohgodwhat, Mistletoe?

___Yep, mistletoe. The darn woman put some up right above the entrance, and you may find yourself in an uncomfortable situation. This is mandatory.

1: In your first post only, respond and randomly generate a number 1-2.

2: Check if anyone not already in a pair of two has RNGed before you. If so, you are paired with them. If not, you need to wait for someone to post after you RNGing.

3. Reply responding to the outcome. If your numbers don't match, you didn't end up under at the same time; if they do match, you end up under the mistletoe together. You do not have to kiss, though that is the custom of mistletoe.

Example
Bob's Entrance: (#1) Entrance RP.

Jim's Entrance: (#1) Entrance RP.

Bob or Jim's Reply: Bob/Jim looks at Jim/Bob and runs into the horizon, screaming.

Jim or Bob's Reply: Jim/Bob crawls into the corner, crying.

((NOTE: Bob and Jim add up to two, that is one pair and they are no longer available for the kissings and such.))

Barbie's Entrance: (#2) Harble harble, Barbie enters and looks at the mistletoe.

Ken's Entrance: (#1) Ken crawls in, tired.

((NOTE: Neither have the matching numbers, so they do not end up together. Barbie and Ken also make another pair, so no one can end up with them.))

Alyssa's Entrance: (#1) Alyssa streaks in, butt naked.

((NOTE: No one has rolled after Alyssa, so Alyssa is in waiting for someone to show up. She has started a new pair, so the next person will be with her.))

exclaim Have you been naughty?

_____Over!

xxxxxIt had been a long day's journey for Adriana, and she was tired of traveling the roads of hyrule field. Anywhere you looked, there was sparse scenery, ranging from grass to perhaps a few trees. Adriana enjoyed traveling quite a bit, and mostly never complained, but today she felt especially restless. The sky looked rather cloudy, and the air felt a bit damp, but whether or not it was going to snow was anyone's guess. Hyrule's weather was as unpredictable as its monster attacks. Gazing up at the sky, and then back down to the road, Adriana began to fall into a dreamy lull, imagining the first people to create the roads, and the first rivers and such. She really was a dreamer.

xxxxxEzhno trotted along side her, completely indifferent to the situation. He showed neither exhaustion nor glee through his facial expressions, but after a year of traveling with him, Adriana knew the tale tell signs that made up Ezhno. In truth, he was also tired today. Any stranger looking inside would be confused by this conclusion, but Adriana could tell, simply from the way he walked, the way his tail sagged, by his simple demeanor really. "We better find us a camping spot soon, huh Ezzy?" she asked him.

xxxxxWith tired eyes, Ezhno glanced up at his partner and sighed. Quitely, he said, "If that it what you wish."

xxxxxAdriana laughed and responded, "Always the stoic one, eh Ezzy?" She really did love picking on him. Fortunately for Ezhno, no response was needed to the canter, as a small, dim inn was approaching fast on the left side of the road. Looking as surprised as Ezhno, Adriana said, "Huh, well it looks like our prayer's been answered." As the twosome got closer to the inn, Adriana got a better look as this potential haven. It was a short sort of building, but in a polite, cute way. The second floor was dimly lit, but the first floor looked welcoming and bright, so Adriana figured it was open. There was a sign hanging above the doorway that said The Hungry Bear. Adriana thought, well that's an odd name for a shop ... but it's a place t' stay nonetheless. Gathering up her courage, she took a breath and walked into the saloon.

xxxxxUnfortunately for Adriana, she wasn't the only thing there. There was a sprig of mistletoe hanging above the doorway, probably put up by some conniving kid. Glancing at Ezhno, she cringed a little, and he did the same. They loved each other as partners, but certainly not like that. Breaking the silence, Ezhno said cooly, "Don't even think about it. You'll just have to wait for another human."

xxxxxGreat, Adriana thought. All I wanted was a place to stay, and now I gotta deal with this.

Triton stared up at the sign of the hungry bear, cursing the cold and his ill luck at running across this tiny, wonderfully cheap Inn again. He would have turned himself around and marched back into the snow, if the warm light glowing out through the windows and the door didn't look so damn inviting.. That and it wasn't worth the frost bite just to ignore the little bar maid he knew was waiting inside. Maybe he'd get lucky though, and she'd be pleased as a peach to see him!

"Well now whats this, you hoping to get lucky this winter little miss bar maid. Find someone warm to snuggle with maybe?" Triton chirped with a cheeky grin, his nose and cheeks red; shivering as the clinging cold was slowly dispersing thanks to the Inns warmth. "Not that I'm offering, adorable as you might be..." He let the sentence hang, eying the mistletoe that hung over his head at the doorway. Clever little bar-maid, her and her games, he wondered if she was purposely sitting all the way over there behind the counter just to avoid the mistletoe. Though it was more likely that she did it in order to get the best view of her squirming customers.

Triton had been so focused on the surprise above the door that he'd barely noticed the other patron, tall, blond, hylian, and thankfully female. Caught in the same merry trap as him. Bah..Holiday traditions..

xxxxx"Well perhaps no one will come Ezzy," Adriana said hopefully, after a few moments of awkwardness at the door. "I could just ... carefully walk away, couldn't I?" Adriana lifted a dainty foot and took a few tiny steps, sneaking away as best as she could. Unfortunately for her, a crude voice rang out through the inn, commenting about the bar maid in a rather ugly manner. Ezhno stifled a sort of snorting giggle, and Adriana turned around slowly and prepared for the worst of the worst. Please don't let it be a goron, please please please! Adriana thought fervently.

xxxxxHowever, the sight that greeted her wasn't unattractive at all. In fact, he was rather handsome- even if his clothes were a bit dirty, and his attitude was a bit rude. Adriana sized him up in a fraction of a milisecond, a key trait gained through fast deals in Castle Town. He had long, dirty blonde hair and handsome long elf-like ears, a symbol of his Hylian heritage. Unfortunately for Adriana, he was quite a few years older than her. Perhaps four years or so? Adriana's weak point was age.

xxxxxWith a deep breath, she walked over to the man very proudly and put her hands on her hips. "Look here mister," she said, poking at his chest, "I'm just gonna kiss you 'cause it's tradition an' all. But this don't mean nothin' to me, alright?" Her words held fast and strong, but truthfully, it meant quite a bit to Adriana. Truth be told, it was her first kiss, and though this wasn't the way she wanted it to happen at all, she was a fast believer in tradition. Her father had always said, "hold on to the past, 'cause in the end it's all we have Adriana!"

xxxxxEzhno, however, was not in the mood for her Little Miss Tough act. All he wanted was a place to sleep and maybe Adriana's warm head on his tummy. Although there was a poe clinging to his legs, a possible resistance, Ezhno stubbornly pushed Adriana onto her heels, and onto the man's lips. Surprised, Adriana's eyes were wide open, until she closed them to avoid the ever awkward eye contact kiss. Her hands were squished flat on his chest, and after a moment or so, Adriana relaxed and just imagined herself in a better place.

Dis's happy greeter-face melted away like snow slapped with a fresh Molotov at the sight of the man. Her eyes narrowed in a glare at the arrival and she let out a very decent, "HMMMMMMM," while tapping her finger on her chin as if thinking if she should kick him to the curb or let him stay. The woman that arrived shortly before him kept her decision a nice one though, as it would look quite crude to usher him out so soon. The fact they were stuck under the mistletoe together could have played a factor in it too, not much though, really! But Dis would love the chance to see him slapped across the face if anything.

She cheerily responded, trying to mask the comment's sarcastic nature, "Probably not hoping as much as yoouu - Oh!" Her taunting was cut short, to her dismay. The woman had actually kissed him! All Dis could do was let out a little amused laugh and smirk with an eye brow raised. If this was the first round, she couldn't wait for others.

The darkness was slowly creeping up, swallowing the light. Audra sighed as she walked on, Arwendeil trailing beside her while Scathach chose to float around, drifting aimlessly. The lights of a pub drew her, especially since she wasn't keen on spending the night out. There was a chill in the air that promised snow, or goddess forbid, hail. It was slightly familiar, like a pub she had visited recently. Probably the same one, but right now, she just wanted to get out of the cold.

Just as she entered, she saw mistletoe hanging above the entrance of the doorway. "s**t." She muttered. She was not in the mood to kiss anyone. In fact, the person would likely receive a slap from her. Arwendeil stifled a giggle beside her, earning a glare from Audra. Her eyes narrowed as she spotted the man whom she had bumped into the last time she came here. Dear goddess. She wouldn't have to kiss him, did she?

He'd barely uttered a sentence and already the quaint little bar maid was tossin' a glare his way. How nice to know she'd remembered him, not quite in the way Triton was hoping she would, but still it was better then nothing, and it would always be fun watch her otherwise cheery face twitch with that little bit of annoyance he brought into her Inn.

"Wh-wait-what?" The tart reply on his lips quickly replaced with stuttering confusion, Tritons attention shifting from the busty bar-maid to the much fairer, finer female standing before him. Before him and beneath the mistletoe, oh dear.. "N-now wait a second! It's not alright at all, and aren't you a bit young for kissing?!" What on earth was he saying, and when the heck had he begun to care about age, or height..or beautiful blond hair, and just the most sly attractive smile he'd ever seen. Even more enticing was the fact that the girl had a mouth on her, dominating the encounter from minute one. It certainly wasn't something Triton, Mr. Always-has-a-line, was used to dealing with.

He could hear bastion hiss with quiet mirth, the often silent; ever clinging poe greatly amused with his masters unusual predicament. Tritons annoyed growl suddenly muffled by the soft press of lips, arms going up instinctively to wrap around the slim girls waist and catch her fall. He was surprised at how light she felt, even more even more shocked that she'd actually gone through with the action! Or had she simply tripped? A bad coincidence, pfft he doubted it. For the moment though he found he didn't mind so much, her presence and the otherwise friendly kiss, that somehow had him blushing a soft shade of red straight to the roots of his hair. Another plus was that it had him feeling considerably warmer then he imagined any kind of time spent by the fire could have done!

"Mmmhn?" Tritons tone inquisitive, violet eyes half lidded; the sound of the door opening again and a muttered curse in the background drawing his attention to the fact that they were doing this in the entryway of the pub.. Oooh the little bar maid would pay for this...

xxxxxWarm hands hung around Adriana hips instictly, and she found herself rather enjoying the ride. Though he was a bit on the tall side, their bodies fit well together, and their hair mixed rather nicely. Adriana found herself not wishing to go to a happier place, but instead wishing to stay right where she was. Her conscious tugged at her and said "no, this is ridiculous Adriana!" but something kept her there. Perhaps it was just the simple rush of her first kiss. Maybe it was the smell of the tavern mixed with the joy of the holiday season. But perhaps, just maybe, it was something a bit more.

xxxxxHowever, their semi-enjoyable kiss was soon interrupted by a clang at the door. Another traveler, noticeably sheikah, had walked into the small space, and was now standing awkwardly under the doorway, gazing at the mistletoe. Perhaps the sheikah would have as much luck as Adriana. Wait lucky? What am I thinking, this isn't luck at all... she thought. But even as these thoughts raced through her head, she hadn't yet taken her eyes off the hylian man. Underneath all the gruffness he tried to display, he really did have nice, genuinely shining eyes. "Adriana," she whispered, so that only the man could hear her.

xxxxxBlushing brightly, Adriana realized what she was doing and untangled herself from him instantly. She realized that it was too late to appear as though nothing had happened, so she simply rushed away hurriedly to the counter, where the pretty barmaid was waiting with a shocked look on her face. Ezhno trotted faithfully behind her, but made sure to get a good look at the man with both eyes, to show that he meant business. He neither scowled nor smiled at the man, simply looked for a moment, then followed behind in Adriana's footsteps.

xxxxxEmbarassed, Ezhno and Adriana walked up to the counter, Adriana's head point towards the floor. "O-one room please. E-espers are allowed in the rooms, r-right?" Adriana felt as though the whole world's eyes were on her. Well my demeanor is only making it worse. Better fix up- your daddy'd want it! she thought. She forced herself to look up at the barmaid, and stare her straight in the face. "If it is, we can always talk about it, can't we?" As Adriana spoke, she picked out her wallet from her little pocket and pulled out some rupees very carefully, so as to show the lady she had plenty of money.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 22, 2010 9:35 pm

Those two were awfully close for awhile. It actually hadn't proven as entertaining as the barmaid had hoped for. Just.. awkward and boring. Maybe it would've gotten more interesting after a minute where the woman could realize how repulsive he is, but another person arrived and Dis did the usual welcome and card-motioning yadda-yadda. Hopefully this one's turnout would be more interesting.

"Er.." As much as the rupees were wanted, she couldn't exactly take them and make up a room from thin air. Dis didn't think anyone would actually hope to stay at her pub in the first place, but it's not like the mistake hadn't happened before. She blinked and cleared her throat, oh how she hated talking about what she didn't have, "We actually don't have rooms here. Sorry for that inconvenience, but you're welcome to sleep at a table.." That had happened more than enough times, and Dis didn't much care since she could lock everything worthwhile up, but it's not like she had anything particularly exciting in this bar in the first place. Well, save for tonight.

She figured it would happen with plenty of people anyway, after enough drinking of course. Might as well suggest the girl to grab a table while one's open.

"Me Triton, You purdy..." Tritons thoughts were even more sluggish then his mouth, managing to utter a single, and decidedly dazed sounding "Uhh.." in acknowledgment to learning Adriana's rather sweet sounding name. He could have smacked himself for being so slow and off balance! Caught with nothing to say and watching his new most favorite attraction scamper away to the bar, and was that tiny creepy horse eying him? Hell, what a wonderfully weird night this was turning out to be.

"Weird..and if it isn't the icing on top of the weird cake!" Triton turned to the door, having to rub the stupid drooly look off of his face before the cute blond thought him a total fool, all bark and no bite, bah. Only to be confronted once more with another one of his least favorite female acquaintances, though Audra was still looking as fiery hot as ever. "Oh, and if it isn't my favorite red-head, your luck must be worse then mine finding yourself here again!" Technically he was having the best luck he'd ever had, and all accidentally too, but he wasn't about to admit that. "Though I'm afraid that if your looking for a kiss it won't be free.. Cold red-heads pay double." Triton smirked, taking a large step back from the overhanging mistletoe. He only had so much luck after all, and pushing for a second kiss from a lovely woman who he knew for sure had no interest in him. Well..he liked keeping all of his limbs intact, all fingers toes and nose, unbroken for as long as he could manage.

"Maybe if we're lucky our patron has peppermint ale? Or food..or is in better standings then the last time we crossed paths." He swore if this place had bare cupboards again he'd brave the snow and hunt down something himself, warm fire, and hot women be damned, he would not go hungry!
PostPosted: Wed Dec 22, 2010 11:07 pm

xxxxxAdriana attempted to smile, but the burning in her cheeks reminded her of the embarrassing moment that had happened not five feet away from where she was now. To try and make a small talk comment, she said, "Ah ... I'll take number two, please." She gestured to the cards the barmaid held in her hands. She faintly remembered something about a game, but after that kiss, everything else seemed to go blank. Ezhno had finally caught up to the two talking women and now rubbed his flank against Adriana as if to say "I'm sorry," but in truth Adriana didn't blame him. It was bound to happen, and though she wouldn't tell anyone at the time, it was really very nice. Even as the barmaid continued, Adriana pursued to sneak a glance at the man. He was standing there open mouthed for a moment, then immediately went to talk to a red haired woman.

xxxxxAdriana's heart sunk a bit at this sight. Why should I be sad? I've only just met him. Its not like I even know him, she thought, trying to convince herself that he was meaningless to her. But try as she might, she couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy that emerged from deep inside her. Waving it away she turned back to the barmaid who was now talking about having to sleep on the table. "Sleep on the table?! But you have an entire floor upstairs! I couldn't possibly bunk up there with you?" But as Adriana listened to the barmaid, she realized it was all but useless to argue with her. It was her pub after all. And besides, Adriana had slept in far worse places before. She threw her hands down in exasperation and defeat, then said, "Well thank you for the offer I guess, ma'am." She sadly turned around to find herself a table close to the fire, for warmth.

xxxxxBegrudgingly, she headed over towards a table and sat down. She continued to look at the man from out of the corner of her eye, but forced herself to look at the fire, Ezhno, anything to keep her attentions away from him. Ezhno plopped down quietly beside her, and didn't say a single word, for a time. He knew anything at the moment would upset her terribly. They sat there for a few moments and then Ezhno piped up, "You can use me as a pillow tonight, if you'd like. You can even cuddle me like a teddy bear. That always makes you feel better." He spoke without looking at her, understanding flashing through his eyes. They really were the perfect duo together.

xxxxxSmiling at Ezhno's own sort of awkward attempt to cheer her up, Adriana said, "Ezzy, I bet you want that more than me, don'tcha." Ezhno simply snorted in response.

Isis frowned as she trudged around outside, pulling her "coat" more securely around her, though it was more like a blanket with sleeves. Walking beside her Baladeva just looked at her and shrugged. While Onxon, of course, had to put his two cents it "It's going to snow. You better find shelter, you're quite a fragile creature when it comes to the cold." oh how he loved to give her s**t.
Isis rolled her eyes, ignoring her cocky familiar, and squinting at the sight up ahead. An... inn? A bar perhaps.... she wasn't really sure, all she knew was that the doors were wide open, and it looked warm and inviting as hell.... She sent a quick prayer to the goddess that this place had good food and perhaps a bed before she came upon the doors and a hanging sign that read "The Hungry Bear".

Hearing a greeting as she stood in the doorway she looked around, only to find the Bar keep standing behind the counter and talking to a young looking blond girl with a black esper by her side. Thank goodness, Onxon would have never shut up if the pub didn't allow espers. She glanced over at the woman standing in the doorway with her... a red headed Shika woman who was conversing.. well being conversed to, by a man in the center of the room... Kissing? What was all this kissing noncense about?
Glancing around she looked up when she saw something in the corner of her vision. MISTLETOE?!?!? she looked over at the woman beside her with an incredulous look on her face.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 22, 2010 11:26 pm

Eww. Watching two people make out as she entered the pub was one of the things she could live without. Especially one of them being that much despised male named Triton. His smart comments were getting on her nerves, sparking her temper. Audra's eyes flashed dangerously. "Naturally, your luck could be running out with every word you say." She responded in a voice dripping with sweetness as she took a step closer to Triton. "And honestly, I'd much rather kiss the barmaid than kiss you. Scum." She spat. Honestly, breaking every one of his fingers was immensely appealing, not to mention wringing that neck of his. Plus, Audra was pretty certain that the barmaid would be more than happy to have him out of her pub, given the crude comments he'd directed the last time they had crossed paths.

"Just so you know, I'd willingly break every bone in your body." Audra hissed in his ear before turning away to almost bump into a blond woman. Dear goddess. She was under the mistletoe with a woman? This was too much. First the horrible weather, followed by Triton and his obnoxious comments and now this? Being under the mistletoe with a woman? It was too much. "There is no way I'm kissing anyone, much less a woman. Tradition be damned." She ground out, teeth gritted and fists clenched. She reached for the power that forming a pact with Scathach had given her and pulled the shadows around her, hiding her from view as she stalked to the bar, her temper simmering. Releasing the power, she nodded courteously at the barmaid. "Can I have seven please?" She asked, nodding at the stack of cards in the barmaid's hands. Keeping her temper under control would be hard if Triton kept up with his comments.
