Vela was back home on Windfall island, for now anyway. Though she made shorter stops in other towns, when she came home, she always stayed for a while to catch up with her father and the latest local gossip. It wasn't very profitable, since not even a pirate would steal from a pirate while they were docked on Windfall, but it was good for her whole crew to see their families again. Vela set sail with her childhood friends, and all of them had grown up in the shadow of the windmill, in the sandy island shore.

It was from this windmill, that Vela watched the whole island right now, perched on top with Vayn next to her. Her father repaired the windmill when she was little, and even now that his joints were getting stiff, he was still at it. Part of her felt guilty for gallivanting off to sea instead of taking over the family business, especially since she was capable of doing it, and she was his only child. But the moment she had made a pact with Vayn, she knew that she couldn't stay on Windfall forever.

Still, she could visit. Carefully, the curvy pirate pushed herself up and hopped down from the tower, sliding back onto the ground again. She was going to enjoy the downtime she had while she had it, but she needed to go to the market. She was running out of supplies to make weapons with, and if she even ran out of darts at sea, she'd be in deep water, no pun intended. Sliding between the stalls, she stopped at the first one she saw to take a look at the wares being offered.

As Adriana stepped off the boat with Ezhno, she took in a big hearty breath of air and then fell over. As she panted heavily and looked up at the sky, a few hylians glanced over at her anomalous behavior, but most simply recognized the signs of seasickness. The esper Ezhno simply trotted across the deck of the small fishing vessel they'd bartered onto for a skim over the briny sea. At first he looked a little lost, but then noticed where Adriana was laying on the ground and scampered over to her. The sight was embarassing, but what could Ezhno do? He was a phantom, not a doctor. He glanced around for help, but no one seemed to notice the twosome. However, Adriana's voice croaked out of her battered windpipe, "Ezzy..." she took a breath, then continued, "We're never doing that ... again ..." The words were morbid, but a tiny smile cracked on her face. Her esper smiled and sighed in relief, knowing her playful demeanor would be back soon, though he tried not to show it to Adriana by turning his head. "So ... why did we come here?" Adriana inquired, still on the ground, her back now covered in the sands of Windfall Island.
xxxxx"I believe you were the one to bring us here, Adriana," Ezhno replied, his tone nonchalant. Adriana was still a little out of it from seasickness. He would stick with her til the end, though where that end was, even he didn't know.
xxxxxBut Ezhno's reply fell on deaf ears- Adrianas deaf ears. Her eyes had just fallen on the wonder that was Windfall's marketplace It was a merchant's dream- stalls lined up everywhere, and (although a bit... rough) there were people, unsuspecting suckers, everywhere. "Ezhno... we have to get over there..." she said, in awe. The island felt strangely familiar to her though. As though she'd been there a thousand times before. As Adriana surveyed the land, she noticed something very strange about the people. Odd... these people all seem very ... gruff. I better mind my wallet, she thought.

Vela surveyed the stalls, picking things up and eyeing them carefully. Unlike most pirates out shopping for waepons, she was completely avoiding the acutal weapon stalls. Vela made all her own equipment. She had special needs largely related to the fact that she was terrible at most kinds of combat save the style she had made up using the wind to fight. Picking through the odds and ends at various scrap stalls, she whirled wires and tugged canvas to see what would fit her purpose best. Soon enough, she had an armful of things, checking off what she was low on on a mental shopping list.

"Okay Vayn, we still need some potions and chu jelly," she announced, hefting the bits and bobs in her bag around onto her shoulder. "And a dagger, maybe, I guess I should have something for if we end up in a dead zone." Vela tried to stay away from windless places, but sometimes they couldn't be avoided. She didn't like staying too long there if she had to be in one, when she couldn't feel the wind, she felt vulnerable, almost less alive. She had grown up feeling the wind through her hair, after all, and there was no better island then WIndfall for reminding her of the fact. No matter where you looked on the island, the mill was turning in the breeze, thanks in part to the repair efforts of her father and his father before him. The whole island was a testament to the wind, especially since the wind brought the traders and Gerudo pirates that were the life blood of the city into its ports. Still, Vela wouldn't be much of a pirate if she never left home, and there were places that weren't lucky enough to have gusts constantly blowing.

xxxxxBefore Ezhno could even protest, Adriana was up and running towards the stalls. Everything around her seemed to sparkle, with the idea of profit. Her seasickness had not totally worn off, so she stumbled a bit on the way there, but carried on, as a diligent soldier rushes towards the battle field. Ezhno glanced quickly at the looming stalls before turning his attention back to his partner. The wind danced through Adriana's long blonde hair and, much to his amazement, did not seem to stop its twirling figures. Windfall was renowned for its breezy apparatus, but Ezhno would have never expected this caliber. Turning back to Adriana, he was worried about the carelessness she tended to have, especially with so many gruff people around.
xxxxx"Adriana... perhaps we ought to visit the auction house, or maybe the cafe bar. You only just regained your legs ..." he chided. He knew the words were probably useless. Once Adriana started, she would never end. The crowd began to close in on the twosome. People gathered in the marketplace for all different kind of reasons, but it was always busy no matter what town you were in. He took great care to watch where his horns were pointed, but he couldn't say that everyone in that crowd came out unscathed.
xxxxxAdriana's nose wrinkled when Ezhno requested to stop. How can we stop? We haven't even started, silly phantom, she thought lovingly. She quickly ventured to all of the stalls, both emptying her wares and filling a new inventory. She even managed to sell off her less popular items, like the ball and chain set. The people on windfall were quite gullible to Adriana's merchant scheme. But then, these people were honest and hard working, quite the opposite of Adriana. They had probably never ventured farther than one end of the island to the other, whereas Adriana traveled the globe, perfecting her merchant's tricks.
xxxxxEzhno's inventory bags were now full, and Adriana's arms were brimming with an extras she could hold. She had made off like a bandit, with a full 200 rupee gain. 100 more rupees could be expected from all the merchandise she held at the moment, as well. "Oh Ezzy, we're going to buy back daddy's shop in no time!" she exclaimed. Walking purposefully and happily she continued down the road, that is, until she ran into a woman. Adriana was normally light on her feet, it came naturally from traveling so much, but this woman seemed to appear out of nowhere. As soon as they made contact, Adriana's load spilled everywhere, with more than one or two cracked bottles. The contents of her bottles oozed out slowly, utterly useless in their new condition. Ezhno looked sympathetically and picked up anything that was still useful. Well, picked up as best as a phantom esper could. He glanced up at Adriana who was now surveying the woman she had bumped into. The woman was attractive, skinny, and had beige soft hair. She wore strange bells that jingled in the wind from her ears. Adriana looked at her defiantly and calmly said, "Excuse me, miss, I think you owe me an apology." Ezhno worriedly flicked his tail. The woman Adriana spoke to in such a rude tone didn't exactly seem defenseless.
